It was a special day with grandchildren to see the bio park although a small disappointment for the lack of sight of the lion and some others of little appeal

Great selection of animals. Close to another tourist attractions. Its not bug but very nicely presented.

Animals, especially cats, deserve a more comfortable environment, but it's certainly not the fault of those who run the zoo, but the lack of money. Some beasts really suffer a lot and that's not fair.

Beautiful experience for all ages. It doesn't even seem to be in the heart of the metropolis.

Good zoo.. I do agree cages are a little small for bigger animals.. tigers looked a little crazy walking back n forth.. lions looked tired and fed up... So if like me you have a heart then be warned you will feel sorry for them in there.. but if you love seeing these amazing animals up close then worth a visit

Bad organization. After booking online and printing the self-certifications, we go to the entrance looking for the point where we should have measured the temperature, as per the directives specified on the site when purchasing the tickets.
Nobody measures our temperature.
Nobody checks that visitors have regular masks, so much so that most people wore the mask on their wrist, elbow, under the chin or even did not have one. This was not acceptable given that no one kept a safe distance and no collaborator of the Bioparco checked that everything was going on regularly, indeed, only one girl screamed and tried to tidy up but no one listened to her.
The top occurred when a park attendant, who circulated among us, well thought of spitting on the ground as if nothing had happened.
Gatherings everywhere.

Pleasant and informative place for children and also for adults. The little train is also nice but if you intend to see all the animals I recommend taking a nice walk.

Loved it. Animals closer together so you can see everything easily. My 8 year old loved it.

I state that I prefer to think of animals in freedom. I have been there three times already with my son who is in love with it. I think it's a great place to bring kids closer to nature and animals, also talking to them about environmental problems. Here the animals are studied, cared for and almost all have space and are not caged. Continuous adaptation works try to solve the problems that still exist for some of them. Great variety, excellent presentation, beautiful and livable space with the outline of an amazing bourgeois villa. A lung in the center of Rome. Even the zoology museum back there. Refreshments can be improved. It is an excellent opportunity for fun with the family, with children who can encounter animals that are otherwise difficult to see and understand the usefulness of some of the most common ones. The felines are very impressive, the reptile house is beautiful, the orangutans are very tender. My son absolutely wants to go back there

We went to the museum then we went to the zoo and walked around the park it s a grateful day the zoo is really a lot better than I would ve expected it was pretty nice people there were awesome I definitely would do that trip again

A quaint little Zoo. But some of the animals looked really depressed.

Very nice zoo, quiet not too busy. All the animals seemed well enough for zoo conditions. Nice and clean enclosures. Not the biggest enclourses I have seen but only small animal numbers so nice and spacious. Lots of information about each animal in italian and english. Was ideal for a change of pace to the city. Only thing not many restaurants and an excess amount of plastic used for food!!

Went on a day trip with our little ones. Their were many of each animal and we found it was quite good compared to our local zoo in Vancouver, BC. The enclosures are a bit smaller than some, but it was nice not to have to walk so much. Many animals seemed to run up to the fence or front of glass to greet our children. Especially enjoyed the chimpanzees who put on a show for us.

My family enjoyed the Bioparco di roma very much. We saw some cool enrichment activities with the animals

At this particular time they have fully complied with the covid safety regulations. Congratulations, we had a pleasant day.

Fun zoo. I went during the winter, so it very quiet, slow, & not much to really see. The staff was nice & the layout was easy on the feet. You could walk and see everything without feeling exhausted.

A good zoo and good price when you start to get tired of art and historical sights.

Huge disappointment for me. Clearly it had its best times probably 20 or 30 years ago and since then little work or non to update the infrastructure, standards and quality for animals above all but also for clients.

Cashie were extremely rude when I asked where I could fill my water bottle without going into the zoo or paying 2 euros for small water bottle. Why hire such mean spirited harpies?

This is a great zoo. There are lots of different kinds of animals and theit natural habitat is recreated in a good way!

Bigzoo which needs almost 3 hr to visit. A variety of animals which unfortunately are not very well kept (some of them). Difficult to find a place to eat inside, just some small bars.

Immersed in the greenery of a bourgeois villa, the capital's biopark is a stop for tourists and non-tourists alike. Fascinating for the great variety of animals and with many activities for the little ones. Ticket prices are low and definitely worth spending.

Great experience! Very healthy animals and well treated. There is an amazing ecosystem and you'll spent hours following the tour.

Truly a beautiful day, too bad for having found the refreshment points in renewal, for the rest well-kept animals really. Perhaps the lack of a recommended route was felt a bit, being with a small child would have been useful. We will definitely be back, we are missing a few things. I highly recommend going there on weekends and in the morning. And if you want to feed the animals you have to book first and it's a limited number!

I would definitely not call this zoo a minimal caging type of zoo.
They need to check the dictionary for the definition of that.

Other than that, it's a good place to spend your time at.

I went to the zoological park this morning. Many species of animals, a fun place for adults and children. Too bad for the maintenance of the park; many areas poorly maintained or let go, the water of the animals turbid (especially that of the hippopotamus and penguins). I realize that it would not be possible to keep it perfectly clean, but I have visited many other parks where there was a semblance of cleanliness, which I did not find in this one.

All information is for Italian. My boy was crying because we didn't understand how we can get tickets to feed the elephant.

It is worth a visit. Suitable for children with families.

I was there yesterday 21st July 2020. What to say? Every time I go I see fewer and fewer animals the ticket office is closed or rather there is only one cash desk open and anyway the tickets must be made online, you have to reserve the seat so that you can manage the quota entrances. Yesterday there were very few people and only two bars open, luckily there is no shortage of fountains scattered throughout the entire Biopark. In spite of the covid and the crisis, the ticket has increased again, last year I paid 15 euros and this year 16 then we wonder why Italians prefer to go abroad. But okay, beyond that the park is well kept, the play areas are not all accessible for now (some are) the Picnic area is. All in all for those with children it is a good solution as long as they do not exceed one meter in height because in my opinion even the price of the reduced bits is high especially for the bad economic moment we are going through. There are several toilets in the park and this is also very convenient for changing small children. Closing time is 6pm. Weekends and holidays 7pm.

Fantastic experience! So much ive never seen before

A beautiful and very pleasant place with only one flaw: non-existent catering (at least in the winter months). I understand that it is low season and that there are bar points to be renovated but all of them close at the same time .. You can't.

Biopark well maintained, with adequate spaces to the size of the various animals. Clean cages and constant maintenance and attention to the needs of the various species. Many workshops and programs for children and initiatives for schools. Tickets can also be booked online. Ample parking, however, a location well served by public transport.

Big zoo, lots to explore. Not always buggy friendly

Despite all the COVID limitations, the visit was very pleasant. The place is very well kept and everything is well looked after. For children it is a place to spend an exciting day in contact with nature. The only flaw is the parking which is insufficient for the average turnout but just move away a little and you will find a place. Attention to the fact that in this period they do not sell tickets at the entrance but it is necessary to buy tickets online with a fixed date.

Gorgeous place. Animals treated with care through the reconstruction of their natural habitat. Visited in pre Covid period.

A large amount of animals and exotic types and impressive beautiful peacocks that run throughout the park, I was very struck by this place, to see it very calmly, very relaxing to spend at least once a really unmissable place .....

Wrong publicly posted operating times. Closed at 5pm on Thursday when it was supposed to be open till 7:30. Half-assed approach to work like in most Italian places

Unfortunately, poorly maintained and rather poorly maintained .. leaves on the avenues, shrubs in some avenues .. but the most negative note was that of not finding water or cold drinks in the kiosks at 4 pm (34 degrees)! Absurd

This is the ideal place.

It is a huge park.

There are many animals, which can be seen and some even touched.

It takes more than two hours to see the whole park.

Yes you can admire tigers, lions, lionesses, rhinos.

Truly a sight, especially if you have children.

They will be amazed.

I must say that compared to the 90s it has improved a lot but we are still far behind many European Bioparcs.
Anyway my baby had a great time.
I highly recommend for families with children who have to go on holiday in Puglia to make a stop at the Bioparco di Fasano, a real show, you do the tour by car among the animals.

Lovely place to visit. But the animals has very small places to live in, and resturants felt dirty (bring your own food for a picnic instead ;) )

Big, Nice, but very expensive. If u buy cart online it's much cheaper. A lots of different animals, some you never seen before.

Amazing location and exhibit of animals. The only down side is the lack of bars or places to get a drink from, even though I visited in the middle of the summer (only the places outside the entry gate were open). Thankfully, there were some vending machines scattered.

Superb in terms of entertainment and more; the term 'biopark' suggests how much the animals (1500 species!) live in harmony with their habitat and are followed in their needs. Each has its own characteristics that are respected and this is fully manifested in the reptile house, where the climate of the environments changes according to the species that are hosted. In fact, you can move from a dry room to a humid and warm one, complete with vaporized water to ensure the right temperature. A tip is: put on comfortable shoes to enter, the path is long!

It's a lovely place. There are so many different and beautiful animals that is difficult not get amazed and to forget about everything else. I spent my whole day there and didn't see the time pass.
It's undoubtedly the perfect place to visit with the family and everybody should go there, that way you help the biopark taking a good care of the animals.

It looks old and abandoned from the outside but from the inside you will discover an exotic world of beautiful creatures amazing animals, nice price, beautiful gift shop, nice coffe shop.

I had been thinking about going back for a long time and today I finally fulfilled my wish. Despite the particular period that we are going through, I noticed with pleasure that there were many visitors. Everything kept clean and the animals are fine, they have ample space available. For each area there is a description of the animals and their origin

An old zoo, not very large, the animals are in small spaces and many spaces are lacking maintenance.
I visited it in December and did not have any space to buy food, so if you visit this season, it is necessary to bring a snack if you go with children.
The roads are easy to travel, although a little difficult if you take carts as there are ups and downs.

The Bioparco di Roma is a beautiful well-equipped zoological garden with a good selection of animals. Architecturally gorgeous.

It's not the best park I've been too, especially for a big city as Roma, could have been better

we really liked it. Rather large, it takes more than a few hours to visit everything. There are many species of animals, it seems well kept and the animals followed constantly. at the moment there are some areas under construction or renovation, but it is a really pleasant visit not to be missed, inside Villa Borghese, which in itself is a beautiful park. We have seen the tigers, even the white one, which are just impressive! We also witnessed the training of the gray seals, with instructive verbal explanations over the loudspeaker. We will be back to shoot it all and stay there longer.

It gives a better feeling to see wild animal through reinforced glasses than cages.
You can feel animals are more respected now than in the past years.
They also create small events when feeding them especially seal and otaria:shows for children explaining reptile phisiology with live animals.
It will be advisable for family who lives nearby Rome to buy the annual subscription so that you can enter the park any time you can... Problem is that when at the cash nobody propose the annual subscription and they sell you the one entrance ticket, which is only 7 euro less than the other...

Was looking for an alternative attraction to take my 2 year old boy, he's still not into ancient architecture or culture. Very disappointing Zoo. Enclosures are small and very unimaginative. Needs updating and attention to the small selection of animals. Expensive too.

An oasis of green and very children friendly. The animals are well taken care of. A nice place for a walk, away from Roman crowds.
