The park is well organized, clean and the animals are in a very good state of health. I spent a beautiful day with my daughters, who were amazed and talked about the animals seen for days. Perfect to spend a relaxing day, to visit without a doubt.
Ideal place for a long walk among the animals. Well connected by public transport and located in the park of Villa Borghese. Continuously updated and with new activities for the little ones, it will not fail to thrill adults too. It is advisable to bring a sack lunch, since especially during holidays, the queues for catering can be long. Admission is recommended no later than 15 pm, because from 16 onwards they start to bring the animals in the night shelters. Recommended and comfortable shoes needed!
ok if you want to find a place to walk in with your children .. not great for an animal lover
The park is a really enormous with a lot of green areas and trees. You can hire small bicycle cars which can take you round the park. The zoo is part of Bioparco where you can see lots of different animals from around the world. There are train rides in the zoo and the park itself
Beautiful. Well cared for animals.
Green and well-organized route. Cute little train. For the little ones, an excellent solution
This is a pretty good zoo, it's average sized and pretty well maintained. A relaxing way to spend a few hours if you're looking to get away from the city for a bit.
Lovely and well maintained zoo. Animals look healthy and well taken care of.
It is a beautiful zoo. It's nice, there they treat the kidnapped animals well and even show how the animals eat :) The only problem is that they don't check compliance with the COVID rules ...
Poor loca ii ...old spaces.. unfinished... A lot of room where closed.. bird spaces closed without prenotifications.. we paid for nothing 17 euro is not worth trying . Codru .
Great place to spend more than a nice afternoon I just think that some points of the Bioparco are left a little in disarray
Very nice and well kept place. Clean and animals of all kinds. Children have fun but also adults. Reality in the heart of Rome where you spend a few hours away from city traffic and immerse yourself in a different environment. The location is also excellent, inside Villa Borghese!
Parco pulito e ben tenuto, adatto a famiglie e bambini per passare una giornata all'aperto nel cuore di Roma
Visited here today cost 16 per adult. We got the train and bus from near our hotel which took an hour.
The park surrounding the zoo is wonderful.
There are plenty of animals to see from all over the world.
Really enjoyed seeing the brown bears as they played in the water.
Definitely could spend a whole day here.
Some of enclosures seemed small especially the leopard one. Hopefully they have plans to expand.
Great day out for all.
Nice zoo, it's quite small so it's fast to visit. If you have some spare time in Rome, it's actually nice to have look. Recommended.
Large zoo. Well worth visiting for the morning. Hotter it is the less animals you will get to see
Visited during the "Lucifer heatwave" , the staff have been working wonders considering the conditions.
Animals are happy and the location of the zoo is perfect. Very nice staff and magnificent array of animals!
It was ok. The toilets were very basic. Cafe was out of coke zero by midday !
Great attraction. Take your time. Ideal for a whole day.
Lovely grounds, however we did notice the enclosures were quite small and some of the monkey's looked to have quite painful looking wounds on their backs. Sometimes felt quite sad to see them in the enclosures given.
It has most big mamals and some birds but almost no reptiles. All in all nothing special, but ok.
Loved the zoo. Only one restaurant was open when we were there and they really didn't have a lot. The food outside as you exit was not the best. Half my food was still cold.
Old style zoo looking a little weary, but animals are well looked after. Lots of families on my visit.
The visit to the park is really pleasant, allowing you to enjoy the company of many species of animals. For the complete visit of the park taking advantage of all the attractions, it also takes from 4/5 hours. Recommended for everyone, from the youngest to the oldest, from families (who will make their children happy) to those who want to relax walking among the many animals that populate it. The only flaw to be underlined ... the complete absence of refreshment points and bars inside.
Very good location to see a good variety of animals from several parts of the world. Excellent for kids and families. Would have loved to see African as opposed to Asian lions though
An excellent collection of animals including elephants, hippos, lions, and tigers. A family can easily send half a day there. Lots picnic areas if you want to bring your own lunch. Admission price is really reasonable at 16 Euros for an adult. 10/10 would recommend.
All the animals are healthy! Worth to see them all - they are sooo close! Just amazing!
Good division and variety. The combination of the park with the atmosphere of a bourgeois villa is striking. To note a certain dilapidation of the elephant enclosure and the modest size of the enclosures of some animals. However, the evaluation is to be considered high only if the biopark is accepted as a place deliberately without refreshment points.
A lovely zoo!
I'd recommend a quick stop over on their website to see all their animals, which is quite many. I was here late at day so didn't get to see any feeding but I can imagine it being interesting. The only downside in my opinion is the layout (you have to zig zag and use a map in order to make sure you don't miss a bunch of animals, which is really easy) and the price. ~16 is a bit much but it was a great experience. If you love animals or want a fun day with the family I'd totally recommend this place. It's alot bigger than you'd expect so take atleast 3-4h if you want to see all of the animals.
Biopark reopened, majestic and fantastic animals as usual, clean, non-sticky staff the only really useless thing was to close: the reptile house, the playgrounds, all the exhibitions that were seen inside.
Only 2 problems we found: 1 in some bathrooms lacked soap and 2 in some hand sanitizer dispensers lacked the substance.
For the rest, everything is fine and beautiful, certainly with its strengths and weaknesses: for example, the baby who pees 1 meter from the bathroom (with mom) (in front of everyone and among other things on the concrete walkway of the bathroom) is terrible and the mother would be locked up. However, maybe the staff who controlled these rubbish
Anyway everything is nice
Not so great zoo, honestly. Surrounding is beautiful, but animals are in too small cages, and some of them looks also sick. The reptiles part is the best pet of the park.
Gorgeous historic park that hosts the famous "Galleria Borghese" with splendid gardens, the Borghese lake and many other attractions.
Spectacular
A safe place for children and the elderly
Lots of beautiful animals
Affordable prices !!!
Well organised. Clean and tidy. The animals are well kept and cared for. The species are very vast. The safety rules are well shown and enforced.
Some animals are forced into small spaces such as felines, but then I don't understand a thing they make you buy tickets online because the ticket office on the spot is not open and then they also force you to pay the presale
Very nice and very well managed.i loved it. Ideal for a walk and to admire our animal friends up close.
Nice Zoo, paradise for the kids. They are taking a good care of animals. Need about three hours to see everything. Worth a visit.
Kept very well, the park, the greenery, the animals. It's all wonderful! My son also celebrated his 7 years here and it was really perfect and the animation girls were very good. we like it so much that at least twice a year we go there!
Highly recommended!
A rather small zoo but worth visiting once. If you had been to zooz in Munich, Berlin, Athens, Barcelona, or Tenerife, you wouldn't be very impressed. Still, of you like going to places like that, it's nice. The park around is magnificent. We spent a whole day there
Bioparco simple, accepts children's parties. I went there as a child and as soon as I can I go over it.
Really modern zoo with a good selection of animals (big and small) . Really positive conservation initiatives in conjunction with other zoos in addition to rescue and rehabilitation.
Park well equipped and full of animals. Nice ride even with children
For months we have been told that the restaurant kiosks are under renovation but today they are still closed and work has never started. You can understand the disservice for those who go to the Biopark. For months we have been waiting for the opening of the new seals bowl, completely finished.
Nice zoo with a wide variety of animals that seem to be taken well care of.
There is a lot of working going on to increase some of the animals enclosures.
Not a big zoo, but bit enough for a good visit. Some animals were not overly happy, others seemed very contented.
The amphibian house is not to be missed. I'm usually a fan of these, this one was different
They have a childrens area, but not a petting area.
Used free map to find way round, because of work not always correct (May 2018)
They have lots of notices talking about conservation of animals
Don't go expecting a safari park, its an improvement on the 1960s zoos of uk
Located inside the park of villa borghese The park is very beautiful but needs more care and maintenance. The part dedicated to the reptilarium is very beautiful. Beautiful seals and penguins. Entrance a little expensive but still worth the visit
Loved the zoo, it has drinkable water fountains all over, which is a plus in the summer heat. Definitely visit the reptile area!
This is a good Zoo, but when I went, its cost 16 Euros and about 20% of the exhibits were closed. I also didn't appreciate that the Aquarium cost another 3 Euros.
Its a decently sized zoo and there's a nice picnic area. The animals looks pretty healthy, although I think some of them could have done with more space.
The cages are rather small and the water seems polluted in every cages. Not an incredible zoo. The reptilian's house however is world's apart. Clearly the best attraction in this parc.
Good for kids. Best part that surprised me is the reptile house.
A lovely and relaxing place right in Villa Borghese. Perfect for children.
There were animals. Meh. The amimals looked kind of sad.
They gotta get a tire swing, tree branch, something. That ocelot is DESPERATE for something to play with. It's like Meow-schwitz in there.
It is really sad to see some "prisoner" animals in small and artificial spaces. It could be better kept, some parts fall apart.
Some places you have to visit once in a lifetime pleasant place a love for animals animale .. A self with the white panther ..
Great fun. Lots of variations, but the fact that Peacocks are just wondering around was great.
Lots of fun monkeys, great way to spend a day when the weather is good.
Bellissimo posto, peccato per il poco controllo nel distanziamento
My kids enjoyed the zoo even though most of the animals were sleeping
Always worthy of a visit to observe the habits of the animals we find here. The most interesting part is the moment of the meal. I was able to attend the reptile theater also to this, in the phase of exit from the same. It struck me how a coral snake ate a mouse, how much its mouth opened; I was fascinated to see the movements of the chameleon to get closer to his food, live worms; I was impressed by the crocodiles with their firmness. Keep an eye on the clock because it must be checked as soon as possible to close certain departments, if you want to see the animals. I had to make choices about which to see .... and I could not see the chimpanzees and others. Near the exit the services were closed, at least those in which I tried to go. Compared to a previous visit perhaps I found it a little 'less maintained, however it remains an interesting destination to deepen the knowledge with the fauna and flora here present. Surely in the next visit I will come in the morning to be able to attend the lunch of other animals.
Even if I don't like caged animals, every now and then I'm glad to go back
Lovely zoo, clean and tidy, animals look well kept, lots of peacocks too
A mini-zoo inside of Villa Borghese, a good time with the kids.
I was last Sunday with my family, I must say that I found the ticketing organization and anti Covid rules good, the cleaning of the animal cages just as good but I complain about a bad state of maintenance of the paths and flower beds! There is dirt everywhere, plastic, bottles etc everywhere ... Moreover, by stopping for about two hours (on the clock, not so much to say) in a more secluded area, to be able to give my little son a nap, I could notice two cleaners who have been all the time (I repeat two hours on the clock) sitting on a bench looking at the cell phone and chatting without lifting a finger ... SHAME !!! In short, as usual they are the people who do the difference! Sorry because it would take very little to make such a precious place for children even more beautiful.
After the post lockdown reopening on Sunday, despite the vaunted closed number, managed with compulsory reservation, we found ourselves together with an indescribable crowd of people.
Inside there were not those with no mask that did not even pretend to have it. In front of the windows happened to be virtually surrounding by people who approach you with no problem, the meter face ...
Management of the park totally absent, the only intervention are the circles of paint that should indicate the distancing, I laugh, workers have made a tour I think only around 15.30 when someone called the police.
I think it could have been better controlled if the closed number whose ceiling is completely obscure to me was used with more criteria.
Food services were seriously lacking mid-week in the park- just a couple snack stands with nothing for a toddler to eat that isn't junk food. Staff were pretty absent- no one around to ask questions about animals or ask for directions around the park. The train ride is bilingual in English and Italian and fun for the little ones. The reptile area is nicely done. Cigarette butts are everywhere despite the designated smoking areas. Some of the playgrounds are in need of some upkeep- particularly the boat-themed one. Likewise some bathrooms could be more baby/toddler friendly.
During this period, a mask is mandatory, even inside the park, the games for the children were closed.
Fun place fon an afternoon walk. Lots of wild animals.
Excellent place to bring young kids. Well maintained and situated in an extensive park.
