Foltos Tonsorial Parlor Review

I went to Foltos on Saturday after getting a postcard for a free haircut. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to find, and even with the Saturday Farmer's Market setting up, parking was easy as well. Craig shampooed and cut my hair, while making great conversation. I new to the area, and we had a delightful conversation about how Batavia and Aurora have changed in his time there. His son was helping out around the shop, and I also spoke to Bob, his friend who comes by on Saturdays to hang out and enjoy some coffee and a donut. I love my haircut, and I'm going to call tomorrow to make an appointment for him to cut my daughter's hair as well. I highly recommend Foltos Tonsorial Parlor!

Although I no longer live in IL, I visit family in WI a couple times a year, and I always drive to Batavia (5 hrs round trip) for a great haircut and insightful, intelligent conversation. We ll worth the trip.

Not impressed with my new hair. Maybe should spend more time on the haircut and ask the customer if they are liking how the haircut is looking.

I have been a faithful patron of Foltos for almost 20 years. Craig, the owner of the establishment, is a a great barber with a wonderful personality. Everytime I got to get my haircut he is interested in how I'm doing and sharing stories of the community. Foltos has been a cornerstone of the Batavia community for many years is set in a historic Batavia building. The historic setting, combined with the eccentric decore make Foltos very unique and interesting. I always have a lot of fun and enjoyment when I go to get my hair cut. It's just not a hair cut, it's an experience.

The salon is very relaxing, the products they use are great, and service overall is exceptional! Recommended!

I have great luck with styling here and the service is excellent. On my last visit I had dropped money on the floor on the way out and my stylist not only returned it to me, but she drove it out to my workplace the next day. I was shocked to see her bc I didn't even tell her the name of the business... she had figured out where I was working from our conversation the night before when I told her what town and what type of business I worked for. Tell me that isn't incredible?! I would highly recommend Foltos even before this last experience.

I've been coming to Foltos since I was 13 years old. I'm 33 now, and the experience is just as good as it was back in 1993. Craig, Laura, and Chris are all extremely good at what they do, and the atmosphere is unparalleled. I'm sure I'll be going here for another twenty years.

It's the best place I've ever gotten my haircut at! I highly recommend to everyone if they are looking to get a good high quality haircut for a good price!

Craig is a great barber and a great guy. He is a staple in the Batavia community. If you're looking for a good haircut and friendly conversation I highly recommend stopping in.

About as much effort as Great Clips but double the price. Awkward conversation and I guess they have a security guard now? Went to my barber the next day. Will not be back. Two stars because at least it looked like a barber shop

Terrible experience. I was like 8 and dude asked me if I wanted to meet Jose then pulled out a garden hose and sprayed me for like a solid minute, right in the middle of the store.

Words cannot describe the love I have for Foltos. I've been going there since I was a child and Im 37 now. Foltos is where the past meets the future. I will never find a place that feels like home and you get a haircut. Its an institution distinctly Batavian and very dear to my heart.

This guy gave me by far the worst cut and shave I have ever had. He gave me a cut, and my girlfriend laughed when I got home. Since I had no time to fix it that night, I went to work the next day and got made fun of the whole day. It was uneven, not blended, and choppy !! On top of it, I got a straight blade shave. He left patches of hair everywhere and I had to go buy a razor on my way home and shave again

I used to go here all the time. I think today was my last and final visit. I get times are weird currently, but the last couple of haircuts I've gotten here have been rushed and incomplete. The hair at the top of my head seems like it wasnt even cut and the sides of my head are uneven. Now I have to find MORE TIME and spend MORE MONEY that I dont have, somewhere else to fix it.

Love the nostalgia and hip vibe :-) I ve had my son s haircut here several times in the past but we just had his hair cut by Craig for the first time yesterday. Best fade ever! And I don t throw that compliment out easily. Even my 11 year old son could tell how good it was. This haircut was the best thing that happened to me today mom hahaha. Try this place, you ll love it.
