the website takes time to log into, very annoying. i had to start 2 weeks behind because the website wasnt working and that was very annoying because i am STILL behind. the teachers dont know what theyre doing and none of them check in on me on a regular basis. There is so much work for each class and barely any structure besides pace charts which you dont even have time to check. i dont even care about grades anymore, all i care about is FINISHING before next semester. It would be so much better if every day there was a certain amount to complete, like do this lesson this lessson and that test. this would be so much better. All of the clesses seem out of touch from esch other they dont even care about MY education, all they care about is this weeks lesson and telling you to catch up without separating the work out between how much you need to do everyday. Having no structure causes me to question why im doing it in the first place. Please do not do flvs full time you will regret it.

I just enrolled my daughter due to Covid19 and she and I are excited to get started. I did not let the obvious disgruntled teachers pretending to be parents and lazy parents sway my decision to use FLVS. The negative reviews are clearly by parents who could care less what their kids are learning in school, and who do not want to hold their childs hand through the education process. No teacher to blame if things don't go as planned.... I look forward to spending time with my teenager and helping her through the learning process as I learn a few things that I may have forgotten over the years. It's sad when I see parents complain about having to spend time with their kids helping them with their school work and time management. I suppose you prefer when everyone just walks around the house barely talking to each other or locked in seperate rooms because our faces are buried in our hand held devices. These are your children. And just like regular school FLVS isn't perfect, but it is a perfect opportunity to get your childs UNDIVIDED attention for a few hours a day. That alone is a blessing not a curse! Thank you FLVS for giving my child a safe option as we get through this pandemic! And thank you for giving me the opportunity to bond with my child as I help her through the education process! If I could give you 10 stars I would!
Hated every moment of it. Causes nothing but stress and isn't a reliable tool for teaching. I have learned virtually nothing and FLVS does not allow for one to set their own pace. Unless you subject yourself to three meaningless assignments that contain questions and prompts that they don't address in the lesson per week, then you will be considered falling behind. I wish I never took a single course.
I don't know what any of you are saying... but this is the BEST online school website ever. the teachers never answer the phone. they set you up to fail. they kick you out after a week of no work. 10/10 in my book.
I am a homeschooled student, and I have taken multiple classes with FLVS for the past 3-4 years. I can tell you from experience that the class all depends on your teacher. If you don't like your teacher, you don't like your class. If your teacher is slow grading things, your progress is slowed. If your teacher is not focused on your success in the class, it is harder to succeed in the class. I have had experience with wonderful teachers, and terrible teachers. The best teachers are quick, encouraging, have personality, and help you out when you need it. There is a 50/50 chance you will get a great teacher. The other teachers are slow, don't seem to care, boring, and are never there for you. Other than the teachers, the schooling is ok. I am constantly finding that everything is repeating itself, and I see the same phrases over and over again in the lesson text. I don't think I'm at the point where I can take the AP courses, so I'm still staying with the regular courses. I wish that FLVS would make things more colorful, and not as bland and redundant.
Lessons are very poorly written, exercises and exams contain material not covered in the lessons, and the overall experience is poorly organized. I find myself looking elsewhere for learning material whenever I have lessons.
I absolutely hate it. I'm only taking one class, and I dread it. I got straight A's this semester in my AP and Honers classes in normal school, so it's not like I just don't like work. The work in my HOPE class is extremely time consuming and pointless. My teacher is nice I guess, but too nice. Fake nice. She doesn't actually help with anything at all. She gives me extremely low grades for missing one thing which is very discouraging, and it seems like she just makes up some of the rules as she goes along. So what if you can use notes on tests and DBA's are easy? You don't learn anything, and it's the worst "learning experience" I have ever gone through.
Worst experience that I have ever had. None of their lessons are put together well and I understand absolutely nothing. Only class that I took that was easy was HOPE. Screw Florida Virtual School...no one likes it.
it helps me out i had to move a ton so it helps me learn things that i missed like math and stuff i want to learn like gutar and stuff i hate doing not on flvs aka physical education so its a good thing. BUT it is very fast paced and hard to do at first but it teaches you responsibility and to step outside of your comfurt zone
I was in another homeschool cirriculmn last year, and got switched to Flvs flex this year. Tbh I hate it! I don't reccomend it. I feel like you should have a quiz instead of a Dba. I am very very shy and being forced to call and talk to a stranger is just wierd. I hate how u have to do the lesson, exam/assignment, and guided notes all at once. Some teachers are friendly but some are not. I have asked my teacher to help me and all he tells me to do is watch the help videos which is just him reading the lesson. And it doesnt help me period. I got behind in school and have to work during the summer now due to the teachers not telling me what I have to do each week.
"It is a good school for family who travel or have nothing to do and I do recommend it for electives. But for part time or full year.. It's a little more stressful then regular school. Just know if you have a very busy family, you will spend less time doing your everyday activities, if your family is as busy as mine, it could be hard to get some lessons in and you could be behind and possibly fail. And you're life wont be as fun as it used to, you can't go out like your friends do in regular school, just like how i lost all my friends who go to regular school and lost contact because i never get to go out with them like i used to, due to ALWAYS doing work 24/7 . And you don't get to do as much extra curricular activities like you do in regular school, i had to quite cheer-leading because i'm always working"...
Ok so some of the teacher are nice, I get it, But the entire thing of Virtual School itself and the idea is completely BS. The teachers hardly answer your calls and emails, they don't grade your stuff that has been waiting to be graded for weeks, The lessons can be very complex and so are the teachers, The site is just straight up hard to navigate, and it really takes time away summer time for you to do cool hobbies. After this, I am only going to do regular school and not virtual school. Id rather play Over watch.
I am currently in FLVS and i drop out of private school because of the really bad setting! You would think private school would be the best option but, no it is not. So, we had found FLVS and, so far it had been amazing. I love all my teachers they are so nice to me . The only thing i would like to change for FLVS is the DBA! I really don't like the DBA it stresses me out over the phone. I would rather not do DBA in FLVS! Thank you
Just horrendous I've told teachers at my physical school about what I was doing (Spanish 2 to avoid doing it over in school) I've been accused of cheating more times than I can count because I already took the course and am now trying to get a better score but when I told teachers they said this course especially is 3 times more difficult than the actual class and I've taken other courses too where the teachers have violated rules such as 24 hour response time and one teacher got so nasty with me I had to drop the course.
Registration takes longer than the 3 weeks promised. It appears that a different robot begins checking each page of application at 3 weeks. Impossible to speak to an actual person. Somehow they get away with not accepting records from my son's previous school as proof of grade level!? Once you do find where to email someone, no one messages you back (waited 7 days). If you want to do virtual learning just go register at your local school because that only takes 1 to 3 days not 5+ weeks. Plus local schools focus more on needs of the kids not how to add more middlemen to the process to drive up costs to taxpayers.
This is crap c.r.a.p. stressful. It is so bad because first of all they don't motivate you to keep going the only thing that is keeping me is Spanish in high school and Spanish itself. Almost always it introduces a topic and doesn't explain they just go over the tip of the ice berg and make you look up how it is done.
All flvs ever gave me was constant problems. The first teacher I had for it was just plain lazy, the second one that I have now is decent but I have almost zero communication with her. The system is outdated and just plain garbage. Understand that if you take a class(Like spanish) first year online, don't expect to do anything but fail if you take it in school the next year. This prepares you for nothing, I wouldn't recommend it for anything other than getting your online requirement for PE
I have taken 4 classes in FLVS and I have hated all of them. The teachers are never available and they are not helpful when answering questions. (contact is horrid and a nightmare)
i Don't like this school at all my parents took me out in the middle of the first segment in real school and now these stupid owners don't ask me how many segments i did so i went did half of the school year for no reason cause the STUPID FLVS people made me start over from the very first lesson in every class
and now school is over in 3 days and i still have to do another half of SCHOOL! i hate this its the worst ever no wonder is has 2/1 stars cause it SUCKS!
This is a pretty nice school. There a lot of courses you can take and the teachers respond, in 24 hours or a week later, they do respond back to you. There was only a few problems i had with it tho. I was enrolling into HOPE but it took me 3 tries to actually start the course without being dropped out of the course. Also if you don't have any sort of Office word you get it for free but me not having a lot of space on my computer am limited to the amount of files i can attach and work on. This make it to where i have to delete files which causes errors and organization issues, but overall its a great school to use.
I just wanted to share that as a parent of several teenagers FLVS has been so helpful in fulfilling the online class requirement for public school!! We have taken Spanish through FLVS which is not an easy class to do online but the teachers and the program were so supportive and helpful. I highly recommend FLVS to anyone!! Amy Goda
worst experience of my life , I took 10th English online and first my teacher never called me and gave me work then when she did I got switched to another class with totally different work and we had to read books and stories that I am now currently reading in my 12th grade English class. My teacher didn't even bother to know if I understood the work she just gave me the tests and quizzes. Also I have to do algebra 2 online and it was terrible way harder than the regular class and the staff are no help they just send me to online help which doesn't work. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS WEBSITE.
It feels like the website was designed to hide stuff from the students, and the server will lag and will delete the work you are working on. And notice how most if not all good reviews are from parents that have used the website them selves.
I have only taken 2 FLVS Flex classes (both mathematics), but it makes learning convenient and simple. You learn and complete assignments at whatever pace you choose (2 assignments submitted minimum).
Horrible- Was promised an assigned date but didn't get that. Now told that there's no real time frame they can give. So what are we supposed to do in order to start school??? Contacted several reps via chat and was told the same but now we are still waiting- Chat reps end chat when you ask for a supervisor- Horrible experience thus far
I would rate it a zero but I can't the teachers never help the guidance counselors never pick up the phone or return emails I regret enrolling in this school I am not learning what so ever steer clear of this school and all of the IT SERVICE DESK people are rude! They never want to help they say oh well submit a ticket and that does nothing you have to call them 50 times before they actually do something and it's halfway done I just got all of my classes and it's the 4th week of school I am so behind and so stressed out
If a student does well in school because they have a relationship with teachers than this is not the place to be enrolled. It's like talking to robots reading a script. I have also seen teachers do half of the work with just a copy and paste of the rubric not actual human feedback.
The website itself is strangely laid out, and for new comers, can be hard to navigate. Some teachers have great intentions, while others... well, don't act like they do. I have had ONE teacher respond to texts and calls consistently. Just one. Once, a teacher of mine texted me to ask why I hadn't been active recently, and I responded quickly telling her that my grandma had been hospitalized, and my family had gone down to be with her for a bit. I offered to call her and explain in person, and explained exactly when I would be hopping back on course. Two weeks later, no response whatsoever. I called her for a monthly call, and she answer with: "Why have you been neglecting me?" in a very rude tone that carried out throughout the entire call. Just by her insensitivity I can tell she didn't bother reading my message, even though I responded hers very quickly. One teacher went 3 weeks without grading a single assignment. I am heavily dissatisfied with FLVS in all as a student. Everything about it from the courses to the teachers are slow and unprofessional. I would not recommend it to anyone I know.
"We re disappointed to hear you feel that way. That certainly isn t the experience we strive to create for our students and families. Please feel free to reach us on Facebook or Twitter, so we can take a look at your account if you'd like to discuss this further. Thank you for your feedback and taking the time to leave us a review!"
I dont understand how you can study and take notes for a test then fail because the test has no relation whatsoever with the lesson. NONE of the info is on the tests... They changed format and it now sucks. None of you needed info is on the home screen. im not the only one i know who has issues with this program... Please, I beg of you! DO NOT PUT YOUR KIDS IN THIS SCHOOL! Unless they go back to old format, this is the worst thing for kids to do...
My family abandoned me after they realized one of my courses involved minorities they shouldn't be allowed to even take these courses fix this issue and I'll rate it higher
I was required to take an online course to graduate. This just added stress to my already hectic schedule. I was required to make time for assignments when i had no time to spare. Not recommending for anyone with a full schedule. But its not like you have a choice if you want to graduate right?
I think FLVS is worst school there is. I just don't understand the "work at your own pace" The school and the teachers just force me to do assignments. The teacher I have (I will not state her name) is flat out rude . When she creates her lessons, she doesn't even put the things I need to know in the lesson and then she expects me to do a exam, fail and those failing exams brings my grades down. She doesn't help me with anything I ask and i wrote a paper for her and she yelled at me on the phone for not putting the right pronunciation on it. She also give me zeros for forgetting to put some little things in and she makes me have to do it again. I also scheduled a DBA with her and she called me earlier then the time i needed to call her and got mad at me for not answering the phone while I was busy. Also THE DBAS. I completely hate it. The DBAS are the worst. Every time i need to do one for my class I completely fall in this depression and anxiety (enough to where I have to go to a doctor) I am having an anxiety disorder thing from this and we would like to be dropped from this course but the school is keeping me locked in the program and I cannot go to a different school for this. Please whatever you do, make sure you want to do this course before you sign up for this.. Also, don't even get me started on the beginning of the year... I was new to the program and barely new what to do.. I didn't know when to do my DBAs so i called my LA teacher and she yelled at me for calling her at the wrong time. I didn't know where everything was and I was completely lost on where to go.
FLVS is the worst thing I have ever done! You can die from the stress that virtual school gives you! Taking core classes on virtual school is HELL!!! It will tear your household apart! If you have any other options like summer school or night school take it! I would never do this full time! I can't even do this part-time! THE TEACHERS ARE RIDICULOUS, THEY ARE NEVER THERE AND WHEN THEY ARE THEY AREN'T HELPFUL! You will cry and feel like your life is over! FLVS WILL MAKE YOU WANT TO DIG A GRAVE AND DIE!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND TAKING VIRTUAL SCHOOL FOR ANYTHING! IT SUCKS!
I have been taking school fulltime in this program and I must say, most of the people who wrote reviews are wrong. Though I've only been taking the program for a considerably short time, the education is excellent, and the teachers are very responsive. This program is definitely better than going through the public school system by a lot, and honestly if you're self-motivated, the classes are pretty easy. To be calling this this program "stressful" is stretching it. YOU get to make you're own schedule, as long as you fill out your weekly quota for assignments. The only way the program could be stressful is if you slack off and don't work consistently enough or if you do more than 5+ classes. I'm not sure how the high school classes work, but for middle school, this program is wonderful!
Literally the worst platform in all existence. Some assignments give instructions in the lessons on how to complete them but for some students like me, the lessons do not physically work and will not pop up. It is a complete joke that a platform with 2.5 stars out of 5 is a NECESSARY for graduating high school. FLVS is a complete joke and I 100000% would NOT recommend ANYBODY use it if they don't absolutely have to.
Kudos to Mr. Quinn and the FLVS Team Hello Ms. Robinson and Mr. Gaines, I wanted to let you know how much my son, Gregory Smith, and I appreciate Mr. Quinn. Greg is going into the sixth grade and just finished pre-algebra in Mr. Quinn s Online class. Since the beginning of class, Mr. Quinn has shown the highest level of professionalism and has maintained the best parent/teacher communication that I have ever experienced with an online teacher. I believe that online classes tend to be cold and impersonal but this was not the case with Mr. Quinn. This teacher made sure that he communicated with me at each DBA checkin and I always felt informed about my son s progress. He was never in a rush during our conversations. He was always available when Greg had any inquiries about the class and took his time to listen to Greg. Thank you for hiring such an amazing teacher. Mr. Quinn is a great asset to FLVS.
I took pre-algebra over the summer, and i can say that it really felt like i was in a classroom. Any time i needed help, all i had to do was call the teacher, and she answered every time! I will definitely be using FLVS again soon!
I am a parent and I am very happy with the service and results I am getting for my child on FLVS and I would definitely recommend it. The teachers care and they are constantly in touch with me via a phone call, email or text.
Though i do not attend FLVS i do attend MVS and they use the same website. Yes at times i get very stressed but, you have to be willing to work. I'm sorry but if your lazy don't use this as an alternative to public school. You will fall behind pace and that's not good. If you feel like you being stressed to much then go back to public school instead of taking your life as i saw in a previous review.
Right now I'm really hating favs because i've been trying to get in contact with my teacher all day and have gotten no response at all. Ive called over 30 times, left multiple texts and sent an email and left a voice mail and still nothing. I have been calling since 9:37 this morning and it is 4:15 and I still have no response.
FLVS "flex" gives almost 0 flexibility... if you need to do a course online, take the DE version. It's probably easier and you get extra freedom when it comes to submitting assignments.
Flvs is honestly the worst online school ever. I could learn more from ABC mouse. The Critical thinking class is a waste of time, considering all the material and study skills is completely irrelevant. Its called critical thinking not stupid study skills that everyone hates. Either way, I would NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER join any of these classes, they suck.
flvs is the reason i want to die, but the teachers are usually pretty nice and the content (if thoroughly read) is understandable.
edit* So, even though I haven't quite finished my 8th grade bio and geometry... I was able to skip a grade! Now to try and survive being a freshman, hah... Anyways. I'm happy FLVS was there for me to be able to cram in the entirety of my 8th grade year into one summer. I don't know how likely I am to do it again, but it was a good experience :)
The majority of bad reviews are due to lack of understanding. FLVS should better educate new students on how to use the system. I personally don't have issues with it. My only problem is DBA's. They're time wasting and useless. It takes 2-5 days to schedule a DBA and complete it. Meanwhile, you're not allowed to work ahead so you're stuck getting behind in the course. Usually, the DBA consists of less than 5 questions. Completely wasted week when it is time to do them.
In all fairness, if you get good teachers, you can have a nice experience. I think the biggest problem the people writing these reviews have is that they don't understand the criteria for getting locked out of class.I'll try to explain the ones I know so far. You can get locked out of a class for:
Not submitting work in 2 weeks Skipping over DBA's Not completing a monthly welcome call
I think it's important students know this because you can go a week without being in your class which if you're trying to get alot done, can be set back by alot. (Thanks Ms. Bambrey Zedd for locking me out of World History, now I can't finish the last module until Wednesday!). Of course you also have the obvious conflicting issues here. You can still be submitting work, but if you skip over your DBA, that's enough to lock you out of your class. So if you'd like to just complete all the manual work in a week and do the DBA's later, just hope you have a lenient teacher.
Hi , I'm a high school junior i've been selected a course on FLVS and its been two weeks since my counselor have approved my course , but i'm still on waited list and i need to be done as fast i can with the course , i know you guys could help cause i've take two classes before and it was great i will wait , but please do something .
Has helped me a lot and im currently finishing my school year via flvs, this is much easier and less stressing for me, the only thing i would change a little would be the DBA calls because I still panic and worry ill do something wrong and I way end up messing it up.
Its Pretty Good. Much like. 10/10 would take again! I Like the Civics Eagle Man thing, He's Awsome! 10/10 would buy that pic. "Making The Virtually impossible.... Nope Still impossible"
I hate FLVS. Im currently a sophomore and took my 9th grade 2nd semester in FLVS as well and the teachers are very impatient and rude. My world history teacher has like a 1997 phone and it fuzzes and her accent is so strong and I continually have to ask her to repeat and she snapped on me and making remarks I called the principle but she didnt do anything about it Im only doing FLVS so I can get a job and graduate early and its been the most stressful, headache causing time of my life!
***WARNING***STAY AWAY, if you already started it like i have it is too late. They lock you in, if you try to get out of the class it gives you an automatic F. Some people may find Virtual School easy and convenient i cant blame them, its is online. But if your thinking of signing onto a class be ready to have to do 3 activities a week. Now it might not seem much but when you try to handle this at the same time that your handling you regular school life with all your classes. TRUST ME!!! It will get out of hand. You will find yourself stuck and pressured because they call you non stop too remind you if your too late on your sessions. PLEASE BEWARE!!!(REMEMBER FAILURE TO DO THE SESSIONS FOR A WHILE WILL RESULT IN AUTOMATIC FAILURE)
Great experience for our family. My 3rd grader has had amazing teachers and has been given more help than he would have received in brick and mortar school. Love how we can travel and still attend class.
I have been in FLVS full time since 6th grade (currently freshman year), and "meh" just about sums up my experience. First and foremost, my teachers have been pretty friendly and helpful. They usually respond fairly quickly. The required courses themselves are alright, but some of the lessons have way too much information, which is very frustrating. Some of them should be broken down into more than one lesson. On the other hand, elective classes are a joke, especially P.E. courses, such as HOPE. Half the time, they tell me things I already know. The assignments for these elective courses are ridiculous. I have had several instances where I am inside writing a full essay for a P.E. course, when I actually want to be outside working out. As far as the flexible schedule claims of this school, I have found them to be half true. You can work any hour of the day, but everything still has a due date at the end of the week. Chances are, you'll still have to work a fixed schedule. Travel abilities as a result of this school are tremendous though. Lastly, tech support is not great. They are usually slow, and sometimes not very helpful. In the end, the only reason I chose to continue with FLVS full time is that my local high school is poorly rated. FLVS is no better or worse than a good "brick and mortar" school. If I had the opportunity to attend a normal high school, I would. After all is said and done, FLVS has done right by me, and I would recommend them only if you need an alternative to normal school.
This online virtual school is trash the rating is 2.5 for a reason there is only one actually good teacher and that is yvette martin . If you ever think about doing flvs think twice because the grades they give you are unfair and you are not learning any spanish. My teacher [Ms.wooley] is not there when you need her all she ever tells you is that you need to do this or you need to do that i do not recommend this online virtual school at all
I am a current FLVS student these are my true thoughts of the program. This is a perfect program if you focusing issues because you don't have to read the lesson the same speed as the rest of the class you can read the lesson at your own pace. It's perfect for me because I always had trouble focusing at public schools in regular classroom environment. I have learned 10x more in this program then ever.
If you're thinking about signing up for this school, please don't. Here's why.
I would've given this 0 stars if i could. Late assignments keep piling up and if you try to catch up you can't. No matter how many weekends i worked, no matter how many assignments i did. I could never catch up. If you get behind, you better believe you will be interrogated by your parent/guardian about why these assignments are late. School started for me on the 12th of January, so WHY AM I GETTING ASSIGNMENTS THAT ARE DUE ON THE 6'TH OF JANUARY!! This may seem like a dandy school to send your kids to, but don't fall for it. The staff is absolute crap, as of now i have been waiting for an email for 48 hours. When you book a DBA (discussion based assessment where they call you and ask you questions) they will most likely forget and you will have to A. Wait 3 or 4 days for an email saying sorry (and that's if you email them saying they forgot) B. Call them back and leave a message or C. Book another one and repeat the cycle above.
This is a terrible excuse for a school and we regret supporting it with our HARD EARNED MONEY. My mother worked 6 weeks to get me in this tragedy of a school and we all hate it. Biggest waste of $100-200 EVER Do not support this school, do not sign up for it, it seems alright at first, but then you figure out how big of bs it really is. The stress is monumental. Your parents will make you do 7+ assignments a day to "get caught up" even though the effort you put into it is worthless because you just get behind again in 3 days time. Whoever conjured up these positive reviews is obviously working for the school to save them, the reviews on here are mostly negative and i relate to most or all of them.
0/10 0/5 0 Stars if i could If your thinking about signing up for this school, please don't.
It is an overall decent community of learning, yet I believe parents should pay special emphasis to student opinion rather than just parent opinion. As a student enrolled in FLVS Full-Time, I could say that I got lucky. Most of my courses don't demand as much as Math and History do, and that is where my main argument is here: Some pace charts are labeled as 'traditional' while they follow up with about three lessons + assessments for the same week. At the time of writing this review, I have to read and submit about 20+ pages of history material all due by this Friday, November 20 of 2020. The question is, what do they really mean by ''your own pace''? I believe students should be able to pick their OWN pace rather than having a pacer chart on their hand and making sure they turn in everything they ask from them by Friday at four. I believe students at FLVS should feel like they are in an online platform and not feel as oppressed and frustrated as they would feel in a traditional brick-and-mortar school. My next argument would be the teacher replacements. From time to time, instructors around FLVS have been switching out of several classes, which limits us what we can and what we can't turn in. After my math teacher (which was by the way, the worst instructor I've been connected to) had left the online platform, I was unable to turn in assessments since they weren't gonna be graded by anyone. In result, I am now one week behind in that same class (and Spanish, the same happened) because of teacher inactivity. In sum, I would need to work on about EIGHT lessons and assessments (two DBA's [Discussion Based Assessment], Four Lessons and assessments from both classes combined, and two tests [which one of them has two parts, both around 45min long]). Parents, students! Please consider the fact that your definition of Flexibility is different from FLVS's version of Flexibility. In summary, if you're willing to test your luck and most likely get the most challenging classes with huge amounts of lesson-load and work-load while leaving you with a perfect zero amount of hours of free-time, then this online fiasco is the perfect school for you.
The concept of online classes is great, BUT flvs is not a good option. Huge waste of time. Most "teachers" on flvs deserve to get paid less than Florida average teacher pay. They're all useless.
I take Spanish 2 in FLVS and I like my teacher. One reason I don't like the program is because the assignments given are very irrelevent to what you will experience in real life. Basically, you are memorizing and writing down a bunch of notes just for the quizzes and test but you are not actually learning the material. I just wished we could learn more about the spanish we would use in the real world because that's what it should be preparing you for. I am in spanish 2 and still have trouble saying sentences in spanish.
I don't know if she is still here (I attended in 2014-2015), but I had a good experience until Kimberly Sewell was assigned my math teacher. She is rude, disrespectful, full of attitude, unhelpful and just all the way around a very tasteless person. She asked me a math question that required me to solve during a DBA and then started yelling when I didn't answer it quick enough for her. I didn't answer right away because I was working the problem out on paper. Another time I was trying to ask her a question about my assignment during a phone call and she started raising her voice and yelling because she said I interrupted her (although she asked if I had any questions). All of my other teachers were awesome but she is disgusting.
Just not a fan. It was frustrating and unorganized. The best thing about it was we now know Florida Virtual Classroom is not for us. We prefer a class that teaches more than we could get from Facebook.
