A classic. Not pretty but because the new airport is still not finished he probably remains first.
Parking is expensive with 5 per hour for collectors. To wait, Coffee Fellows recommends comfortable armchairs, free Wi-Fi and good coffee.

Really small and crowded airport. I was travelling without luggage so I passed all security checks quite quickly however I saw really long queues which moved excruciatingly slow. The worst part is the waiting area after the boarding pass check. There is too little space, no smoking area, only one tiny shop with almost no selection and a tiny bar. I have travelled a lot and have seen only one airport worse than this one. The only good thing is the friendly service at the shop yet this certainly can't improve the whole impression of the airport.

The last time that I arrived at Berlin Tegel Airport. Since this showed itself from its best side. Leaving the plane over the passenger bridge, you were immediately in the main terminal and at the baggage carousel. 20 minutes later it was already there. Walked to the car and off, through the middle. At BER, all of this will probably take far more paths and thus also time ...

Very compact, works in part very old and worn. But I prefer Schoenefeld. The prices for food and drink are already steep. A machine for cosmetics and toiletries, the sunscreen costs 14 euros.
Terminal C was clean, seats were tight, toilets were clean, but also rather scarce. A little warm. Only 2-3 restaurants in the terminal, in the other terminals there is more going on.

In the other terminals everything was very tight and warm.

We were sent from one security checkpoint to another, and then walked over in the terminal.

Arrival by public transport is only possible via bus, the prices are positive and it is in the cheap tariff zone. Bus TXL runs reliably.

I was there too early today, a short walk into the Jungfernheide Park is possible.

The escalator and elevator are both defective at the same time, which is bad for old people.

The state of the airport resembles a ruined building. Paths are bad or not signposted, the staff provides contradictory information. Be sure to stay in the security area, as long as you do not have your luggage, even if the overview is catastrophic there. Otherwise one gets caught in the clutches of the bureaucracy monster "luggage lost". This airport joins the long list of catastrophic conditions in Berlin.

The announcements in Terminal C, easyje, are catastrophic and completely incomprehensible. Here you have to keep an eye on the scoreboard. Quite apart from the entire background noise, the cleanliness left much to be desired.

Chaos Pur. We spent a weekend in Berlin and thought the plane is faster and easier. We had not expected the "perfect" organization at Tegel Airport. On the outbound flight we had to wait 40 minutes on the plane, as there were no buses available. On the return flight the only positive was the friendliness of the staff of the security area. In Terminal D, there were not enough seats, a toilet for 500 people, a Gastrobereich which is not adapted to the masses of people. Everything was filthy and dirty. A smoking area was also sought in vain. The harshness was the announcement of the captain ... "We have been ready for takeoff for 15 minutes, only the airport has too few push-up vehicles that could put us in position." With a delay of 40 minutes we started ... and with a flight time of 35 minutes to Nuremberg ...

Very very very bad! Waling up at 3am, traveling from Prague. Waiting on conected flight by AirBerlin for 4 hours in area with 2 shops and not enough seatting places... just to discover that flight is delayed 2.5h. No food vouchers, no drinking water... No appology or giving reason for delay from the stuff ... my 3rd trip to USA the worst experience so far!

Dreadful airport. Too small for the number of passengers. Disorganized and lacking passenger information. To to it all you need a euro to get a luggage trolley and there is no free WiFi. Will try to avoid in future if at all possible.

The best airport in the world, a real "design legend": bus takes you directly to boarding gate: only 30m walk from outside the airport to aircraft. Very Germany, very effective. Close to City center (AB zone ticket is enough).

Short ways. Close toilets. Public transport connection only with buses that are still full to overcrowded. Until now I was lucky with queues at the controls, did not have to wait long. In the waiting area in the old terminal at the gates as much gastronomic offer as on many S-Bahnsteigen, and that's not much.
