My apartment got flooding on the late April during the pandemic time. Their late response and management caused my unit more damage. Its been two months already, I have got NOTHING from the strata. No updates and reports from either plumbers or restoration. And my strata manager just stop replying my email. I am really disappointing at this point that I paid hundreds for each months and I didn't receive a proper services from the strata.
Concierge service provided by Moe at Riversky 2 is great! He is very professional, friendly and polite.
I am currently leaving in one of the building managed by Chris in Burnaby near Metrotown area its been almost 4 Years, Chris is the best manager and very responsive even after hours.
I've been a resident in 2045 Barclay for 6 years and have known the building for almost 30s years as my brother lived here for close 27 years. Faye has been such a huge improvement! She (and Guy) have thought through how to make the building as safe as possible during the pandemic (including educating us), and the repairs and upgrades that have been needed of so long have been steadily addressed. Residents here love the building and we have a healthy sense of community which in turn, makes us responsible renters. I can't say enough about Faye and Guy: you couldn't find better staff. I am a business owner that has repaired and supplied blinds for the property rental industry for 30 years. I have work with First Service Residential for decades and can tell you that they take care of there properties and residents in a fair and reasonable manner. Whether it is Westwyn, Sharron Apts, Sunrise Heights, Pacific Cove, Esticana, Delwood, Bella Vista, Delview, or one of the other many properties that I have attended for them I have not come across a single resident with a negative thing to say about the onsite manager or the property manager.
With the many interactions I have had that is pretty incredible.

Before our most recent Manager Kris Loncar arrived, I likely would not have felt inspired to write a review for FSR...(hence the 4 stars today instead of 5, based on past history.) That being said, currently I am exceptionally pleased with Kris and the management of our building over the past year or so, (as are many tenants here.) He is kind, professional, responsive with requests, communicative, and open to tenant suggestions; which goes a very long way. I really do appreciate the manner in which he has completely turned around the tenant's experience here; into a positive and proactive one. We are very appreciative of him. (Great job Kris, hope you stick around for a very long time!:)
I have a ton of confidence in the new leadership and have always appreciated doing business with them! It is going to take FirstService to its next level!

We had a great experience moving in to our new place in Kerrisdale. Our unit had a couple of issues when we just got the apartment, but our Building Manager Shaun Nichol quickly adressed all of them, responded right away every time and took action as soon as he could. Thanks Shaun!
BEWARE POTENTIAL OWNERS/RENTERS. Living in a First Service Residential maintained building is hazardous for your health.
Andrea, the building manager, is incredibly responsive, attentive and is highly committed to what she does. I visit her building for maintenance every three weeks and without fail she greets me with positive energy and enthusiasm. She is dedicated to her building and I routinely witness her field calls and attend to the varied daily affairs of her tenants and buildings with efficiency and ease. Watching her at work is truly an inspiration!

The building manager Rafael is prompt, courteous and easy to work with.
As a contractor we have completed many successful projects together with FirstService Residential. Their managers are consummate professionals and excellent communicators. Most recently, I worked with Guy Johanson who was a major asset in navigating a difficult access project with multiple phases and zero resident complaints.

Jose Virahonda-Fonte has been our property manager for several years, and does an excellent job. He's often at our building, and always in a good mood, and as others have mentioned goes out of his way to decorate at the holidays, etc. It's always a pleasure bumping into him.
Our building manager Lawrence is phenomenal and we couldn't be happier with his excellent attitude
I've lived in one of their new buildings for two years, in that time I've seen 5 building managers (1 was interim while they hunted for a new one, that has covered multiple times), rarely do I see the same faces month to month and there are always people moving. There is zero loyalty or concern for the state of the building or tenants overall concerns. They installed a dance studio into the business floor and did NOT soundproof with more than some typical foam used in all commercial units. It is Vancouver, so there's also been $60 in rental increases in 2 years and since I have a big dog I'm being bullied because they are scared of him. So I received a letter stating that my deep freeze has to be removed as it's considered to be installed as an appliance even though it is the same as a TV.
I would NOT recommend this company to anyone looking for a well managed housing option and will continue to inform others of my experience throughout the industry I work or anyone else that would care to listen.
They are very prompt on giving people any notices that are around rent and increases but will not provide much notice for anything beyond that including the loss of use of the single elevator. There are no direct access stairs to the garbage or garage from the units so this is very cumbersome for people as well. The list goes on, I'd just be careful renting from them as they are a company focussed on the bottom dollar like any other but will face the music when their time has ended like so many others.
Good for those companies that are concerned and listening to their tenants and looking at improving the housing experience in Vancouver!

This company does not deserve a 2 star review, they have fantastic customer service. Strata management is on point, never delay my response, actually try to help. Overall, my experience with firstService has been great so far.
