I canceled the policy with in 5 days because the dealership gove the insurancewith out my consent. But after they didn't respond me for a month. I try to contact them all there are saying is still on process or no response from the car dealership even though they got. They work with dealership and having secret agenda, but poor customer service and hard to get the exact case as it is third-party insurance.

I became an amputee unexpectedly and have First Canadian as an insurance provider on my 2016 Ford.
I have never been one that thought insurance was money well spent , but let me tell you it was the best decision I made for my future without knowing it.
First Canadian has taken care of me and my family and the stress of a vehicle payment during these tough times. Without First Canadian things would be alot harder on me and my family and couldnt be more grateful to a company that thinks of its clients as people and not just a number.
Thank you so much for taking care of my family when I couldnt, means so much to know your ok when supported by company's like this.

Completed paperwork and had word back about approval in a couple of weeks of submitting. I got an email letting us know the progress of application. They called and let us know that my loan is covered and what to do when my situation changes. Thanks First Canadian Insurance.

When I asked what their Covid 19 policy,procedures were when addressing the mandated 14 isolation policy. They would not provide me with information. They were sure quick to dismiss my claim because the clinic-doctor would not schedule my appointment until I waited 14 days. At the time of my injury I had a cold. 811 advised I self isolate do not go to er or clinic.. I went to see the doctor when the clinic would allow me. I was quote not fully employed. Crooks

Purchased a year old BMW X5 that the previous owner had Paid 1st Canadian to have the vehicle etched under their Platinum Security Theft Protection Plan. Unable to transfer the plan even though it is specific to the vehicle VIN# and I was willing to send them the transfer of ownership documents. Horrible company to deal with. This is my second interaction with 1st Canadian, the first being an extended warranty on my 3 series BMW. Same horrible experience . Do NOT buy any Insurance plan from this company,you will regret it.Fortunately I didn't shell out for the theft Protection Plan

I wish I could give a negative review, as I'm sure many other people are. They will do everything to not pay you. My brother in law was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Sarcoma, being that he purchased the correct coverage in 2012 he expected that everything would be okay. Sure enough though they had to find every loop hole in the contract and will not do anything for him. Such a waste of a company, they have no care or compassion for there customers.

I am at the end of the insurance policy and they said I missed my deadline to claim back the $2000 for the extra insurance i purchased. When my husband called them earlier they told him to call back in 5 years.... they can't even give you the right information. They are all sweet talk to get your money but they will give you a hell of a time claiming your money back. I am now going to escalate my claim and if you do not give what is owed we will file with the ombudsman. This is very distasteful of your company to do this and in the future we will not be purchasing any kind of insurance with your company and we will advise our friends not to go with your services either.

I was having trouble getting my insurance premiums to match with PBS. Ashlee took the time to address my issue and did not pass me off to someone else. She took the time to resolve the issue and insure my understanding of how to correct this in the future. This was incredibly helpful as my customer wanted and needed this protection. In times of very serious accident, I found it way too much information and forms to compile and fill out to apply for the disability insurance. Had to wait just about 2 months before finally FC sending cheque to bank to cover the loan, but I still had to contact my bank to let them know what to do with the cheque. I feel that some of this process could be emitted by FC compiling info from clients when you buy their insurace policy.

I will say this much, I deal with a lot of lenders, and other companies that provide services for us dealers. And I have never had a bad experience with First Canadian. In ALL departments from training to claims and especially cancellations. They have staff in cancellations that set the bar pretty high on customer service. Just simply amazing people!

Never buy ...

Never buy ...
I bought my Car from gateway toyota and they offer me first canadian warranty for $2500. And they told me if you have any problem in your car just bring it and we will takecare.

After 2 year my car Heat is not working when i went to gateway toyota they check and called first canadian for my warranty and first canadian told them we will not give you any authority. And told me that you are responsible for your vehicle.

They give me $2300 estimate and told me that heater core is leaking then your warranty covered otherwise not. That means i have to pay another $2300 for heater and in my policy heater is covered. Warranty is just piece of paper they will never help you and always give you excuse.

My car seating in gateway for 5 days and when i gave them authority then they start process.
And they called me and told me that we have to change thermostats and it cost me $150.

So just for stupid reason my car seating for 5 days and i dnt have other car and they donot provide me rental car. I am so frustrated with this .

So never ever buy warranty specially from first canadian insurence.

I waste my money and i didnt get proper answer.

If I could give a 0 I would but not an option. Purchased a vehicle on December 22nd of 2017 and was given the option of taking regular disability coverage, which I did. Received the paperwork in the mail three weeks ago and got around to reading it today. It then became clear to me that if I ever had to make a claim I would have problems as I am self employed and do not meet the insurer criteria on a permanent basis (25 hours per week).
I contacted the insurer and asked to cancel the coverage. The agent, Kelsey, informed me that my refund would amount to 2/3 of the total premium, meaning that on a $1544 premium, valid for 60 months, they are charging me over $500 for less than 3 months of coverage. So now, I have no other choice but to contact my attorney and BBB.

I had FCIC Extended Warranty Coverage transferred to me when I bought a used Audi A8L 4.2 Quattro in February 18, with very low mileage. After a few weeks, I noticed front wheel bearing hum, and clunk/squeak. I had the Audi inspected twice by an Audi dealer/service and it was repaired with linkages and 2 bearings. Amazing response from FCIC to the Audi Service Manager. I paid the $200 deductible and everything was covered after 2 repairs, with not one hassle or discussion. I indeed will recommend FCIC to anyone who asks about any Extended Warranty Coverage for their vehicle.

I had a simple cancellation to do after changing my mind about a policy, but wasn't sure if I was going to get any resistance or a 'sales pitch'. Quite the opposite, my policy was cancelled with no questions asked and a refund processed within hours. The rep I dealt with, Amanda Maitland, was very prompt and courteous.

Horrible corporation, even for an insurance company. Ruthless policy. Save your money in a sock, at least that way you will be able to get your money. Three other insurance companies accept my disability. I didnt make enough money to be disabled with these asshats

Bought an extended warranty for my RV through First Canadian. What a scam!! Was told if we didn't use it over a 7 year period we'd get the money back (approx $2000). Called the following spring and was told it was too late, had only a 60 day window to get money back! Who remembers to call within a 60 day period 7 years later!! This company should be ashamed of themselves, they have nothing to be proud of other than the fact that they've become very good at taking advantage of people!!

During these tough times I always felt better when she emailed me with a update , Very prompt with all her emails also very quick with her replaying my emails .
I recommend every look into all the stuff that the dealer trys to sell you this is one was very very imoimport lucky I did l.

Had a few questions about our extended warranty on our Truck, called and spoke to Richard he was very polite, knowledgeable and explained everything I needed to know. The next day came and I once again needed some information and this time got Patrick who was very good, he had to deliver the bad news that my warranty would not cover the repair, but he did it in a way that totally made sense and he was so nice and polite. Both times I called I was treated with the upmost respect and patience, thank you, it was a pleasure to speak to both of these men, keep up the good work !!!

I bought First Canadian Insurance when I purchased my new SUV thru GM. When I needed to put in a claim it was dealt with immediately, and professionally. They kept in contact with me during my recovery from knee replacement and fulfilled their commitment to me . I will continue use First Canadian in the future . Was pretty happy I had purchased it .

I wasn't thinking of claiming my insurance from them as I feel that I won't get approve.
Few weeks later, I got a call from them and encouraged me to just submit the requirements. Good thing, I listened to them as they approved my claim and hence, a big relief for my financial situation.

Kasey was my case manager and she updated me every week through phone and comprehensive email.

Im sitting here unable to work due to a disability claim that is being paid by first Canadian.
Im bored out of my skull and just googling anything I can think of and decided to google the company that is saving my truck.

I also bought an extended warranty when I bought my truck. I made three claims so far with no issues and thought nothing of it. Now I am reading all these reviews and it sure isn't my case or experience.

I my self would not hesitate to buy these on my next truck.

FCPP is a rip-off. Please do not buy any product from them.
My car broke down within 2 weeks of buying it. There was a leakage in the internal valve, which caused the alternator to fail. I had taken a 1 year enhanced warranty coverage from FCPP. The FCPP coverage policy clearly states that alternator and internal valves are covered. We spent hours providing photos and other proofs as requested by FCPP. But they simply rejected the claim with some absurd reasons. The reason that they gave is "The part is new. We don't cover the new parts". Ridiculous reason. How can you reject a claim if the part is new???
When you file a claim, they will ask a dozen questions and ask for tons of proofs. No service center has time to provide all the proofs that they request. Based on my experience, no amount of proof will help you to get the claim approved.
Rather than wasting money on buying a coverage, better save it and pay it later when you need it.

I have dealt with First Canadian many times over the years but have never had a more conscientious or polite claims adjuster than Mireille R. She takes the time to listen and advise the best course of action for our mutual client. I highly recommend Mireille to my colleagues when they have questions with FCPP coverage and or claims.

I had to deal with a car dealership to buy the car i wanted. When I was in the room with the finance guy I was told that in order to get the bank loan with the best interest rate, I was required to buy an extended warranty to "cover the banks investment".

After some digging I found out this was not true at all. I proceeded to contact FCPP directly to initiate the 30 day cancellation. Their staff over the phone we're very good. They we're friendly, listened to my problem, and solved it immidiately by emailing me the cancellation form. When I filled it out and emailed it back, I got a response only a few minutes later.

I was explained that a badly screeching idler pulley (which is kind of covered in all of their breakdown plans) is actually not a breakdown, as the sound eventually disappears. How about intermittent malfunction of brakes? This also perfectly fits the definition of not-a-breakdown.

Keep your money for your own repairs instead of giving it to this joke of a company. I had purchased their Platinum Rim & Tire policy when I got my truck due to it having 22" rims. 2 years later I hit a pothole and damaged a rim.

They denied my claim under the grounds that the contract does not cover potholes... Now I am out the $500 for the policy and the $250 to repair my rim.

First Canadian Insurance (Millenium Assurance) pro...

First Canadian Insurance (Millenium Assurance) provided a gap insurance on a new vehicle my husband purchased at the end of 2018. Less than a month later he had a car crash most likely caused by his physical impairment. He promptly reported the accident to his primary insurance company and never heard from them until he started phoning and asking questions after 8 weeks after the accident. He had already decided not to drive any more and informed his insurer Unifund Assurance of his decision.
We were actively looking for a condominium on one lever suitable to buy and move into because of my husband's medical problems. We found one and applied for a mortgage to buy the condominium and move into it before we put our house on the market for sale.
This is where our experience dealing with Unifund and Millennium Assurance companies becomes dramatically different. It took Unifund Assurance more than 3 months to settle the claim. It took Millennium Assurance hours to prepare the paperwork and pay the remainder of the amount. Thanks to Lauren Anstey from Millennium we managed to get approved for a mortgage to buy the condominium and we already moved in it. My husband's life is greatly improved. We also sold the house.
We want to thank Millennium and personally Lauren Anstey for helping a disabled man and his family.
It is really heartwarming to know that there is at least one insurance company that cares about people!

After getting Cancer this company has shown it does not take care of it's purchased insurance policy customers. I really feel like this is a scan and they do not wish to follow through with what they sell at time of purchase. It is stated that if anything happens you will be covered. Then they ask for useless information that some how is incomprehensible to them. Thanks for nothing.
