I have owned Filson clothing my entire life (hand me downs as a child). It is a great company that stands behind quality USA made products. Their customer service and support is exceptional. This "new" facility is very well done. Their products are worth the price, and their sales (summer and winter) are phenomenal bargains too!

To visit the flagship is a sportsman's dream. Chainsaws, exposed beams and wood burning fireplace...I could live here. To get to touch, see and try on what I normally only see online or in the catalog was a treat. The quality is apparent but if you're still unsure go on the tour where you see their actual goods being painstakingly manufactured. The staff treats you like a long lost friend and no visit is complete without a prize from the jerky vending machine. The entire experience exceeded my expectations which were high to begin with.

Booooo. As the population gets taller and bigger.... Filson cut its tall sizes... the fired polo exec that landed at Filson has brought a commodity mindset to what was one a solid purveyor..... this lame approach puts focus only on the fast sell.... look at polo corporate now... it s in trouble and cutting its breadth of offerings in part thanks to Filson ceo....
Shame on you Filson for loosing your focus on who the population and demographic is. Shame on you for looking to pad your pockets and provide an incentive pay package to this guy that does not include long term.... shame, shame..... shame..( bell ring, bell ring ....bell ring)

Wrote a review on Filson's website about a poor quality item we purchased. It never actually got posted under reviews due to their 'vetting' process. Unfortunate to see the quality of their customer service decline over the last 7-10 years.

Filson makes some of the finest lifelong products bar none. Hunting, fishing and working outdoors are all covered! Great service and one of a kind store experience. Free games of Big Buck Hunter had the kids pretty content while we shopped.

Amazing place with view of sewers making product and retail store upstairs at Flagship store in Seattle. Business was founded to outfit explorers going to Alaska. Small women's section. Great quality and craftsmanship.

This Filson has to be one of the best retail stores in America for two reasons. First, they make the clothes on the first floor that you can see as you walk up the stairs to the second floor showroom. Now you know it was truly made in America & you don't mind paying a premium. Second, the selections there are the most classic non-logoed clothes anywhere and are second-to-none in their construction! If you are in Seattle and you like quality rustic apparel, treat yourself and stop in there!

This is a review for the Rugged Twill Computer Bag that I have owned for two years. First, I wrote an in-depth review of the product for the Filson website. An email was sent to me requesting that I verify my review. To my surprise the review never posted to the website--that is one way to control product critiques! A word of caution: when writing a review for the Filson website an email will be sent to you to verify your review. Once verified your review is no longer visible in the email so you will have to re-type your review. This seems like another deliberate way to dissuade unflattering reviews. Second, the Filson "guarantee" is absolute rubbish. After less than one year of use Filson refused to refund my purchase or issue a store credit.

The bag has several critical design flaws that limit its functionality. It is astronomically priced given its average quality and poor real-world performance. While the bag is attractive the cotton twill is thin. The unstructured internal organization is disappointing. As the internal dividers to do not extend to the top of the bag it is common for materials to spill and move from one compartment to another. The shoulder strap is ornamental and too thin. As another reviewer pointed out, the shoulder strap holes are punched too low, so that when the strap is shortened it is still too low on the hip. The design flaw that was the deal breaker--had Filson honored their guarantee and accepted my return--is the strap attachment. The center of gravity is so low that when the bag is loaded and picked up it rotates and the contents empty! That is to say when you pick the bag up it often turns upside down and empties out. Overall a disappointing product which was eclipsed by Filson's exaggerated "guarantee".

An amazing experience. From seeing the production downstairs, the detailed decor and layout and the friendly staff it was a real treat. They have Tall shirts (pictured) and are the best fit yet for a slim 6'6" man!

I had not heard of Filson until I went to this store. Despite not knowing the brand or having any of their clothing, their product seems durable, comfortable, and fashionable. I'm keeping my eyes on their sites for some deals because it is a bit expensive. The staff was also very accommodating.

Sales staff was extremely helpful and friendly, but not in that cheesy department store way. Genuine and good. Great quality, you pay for it, but you get what you pay for. And the building with its history itself is so cool. Don't forget to follow their in store events = fun stuff celebrating their (and our) outdoor PNW heritage.

It is what it is. If you are a deep woods Hunter, an extreme weather explorer or an outdoor winter worker, these are the clothes for you, and your grandson in turn. Otherwise go to Orvis or LL Bean. Concerning the variety at the Flag Ship store? I find the catalog more informative. Prices? Very high, especially for clothes made in India and Sri Lanka. A well made wool baseball cap was $75. But, if you need it, you need it.

A very cool store and environment. Even if you can't afford their products, stop by and check it out. You can watch them hand-making leather goods.

Their clothing and bags are classic quality but you have to pay the price.

Prices are offensively high.

Prices are offensively high.
The whole store is a museum.... cool to look at; you cant afford anything in it.

Their target demographic must exclusively be lumbersexual hipsters, who do not know the value of A DOLLAR, and/or, spend money which is not their own.

Yes the quality is good, yes they're punting some Americans to work, but $500 for a backpack, $450 for a jacket, and $150 for a flannel shirt?... are you serious?...
unless your people running the sewing machines are getting paid $30 an hour, how can you justify these prices? its as if youre actively and consciously insulting the consumer with these staggering prices!

As if the average person cant google CARHARTT CABELAS LLBEAN or even an ARMY SURPLUS STORE; would have these items, in high quality, for a fraction of the price.

The store is cool to see. its like a museum. but that all thats here to see. nothing to buy.... like a museum.

Headquarters for the monolith Seattle brand of well-made quality outdoor clothing. Pricier than most but made like few. HQ has production facility too so you can see behind the scenes and get in-house customizations. "Shopping" for the quality-minded man.

Customer service is a joke. I have been emailing them regarding a return since January. I still haven't received a reply through email. I had to call them numerous times until I could get through to anyone. Once I finally got a hold of them I promptly shipped out my return in exchange for a gift card. It has been two weeks since my return has been delivered and I still haven't gotten a response. This is the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. It has taken 5 months to get a hold of them and I am still waiting for my return to get processed.

For anyone who owns Filson gear, going here is sort of like a pilgrimage. Call ahead to see when they are doing tours of the place. They make all the luggage/bags at this location and have a HUGE retail shop upstairs.

Excellent brand that stands behind their products for life. You get what you pay for. I bought a wallet there that only just wore out after ten years of use in my back pocket. They stopped selling that wallet because they couldn't guarantee it for life. I bought the new all-leather wallet. I expect it will last a very long time. I hope the character of the company doesn't change after their recent move.
