Disappointed nobody told me the pool was under construction then told I could go across the street and swim for free?This was a special trip, topped off by a stay at Sheraton crossroads. Was the worst night. My sirloin steak was horrible. Buffett breakfast was 30.00???It was the best food of the stay not worth 30.00. The advertised club was also closed. Seems like a hotel suffering for business would try and and get something going for a Friday night to bring people in. And the parking lot is about a half mile to the entrance, because they have a big fountain and pool out front. They get a 3 should be aa 1 because the bed was a 10, the view and bathroom, was worthy of Sheraton name.

From the moment walking in-clean, gorgeous surroundings.
Our hostesses were so accommodating.
Our room was equipped w/ fridge, coffee maker, plenty of glasses, towels, etc. Housekeepers do Excellant work.

I have been to this place twice. Both times were not a great experience. Service is rude and pushy and talks down to you. The bedrooms are hardly near quiet. If you want a microwave in your room they charge $25 a day to have a microwave. You can buy one for that price. You will be charged $4 for a bottle of water. And you will hear other rooms toilets flush throughout the night.

Dead Mans Curve, Best car show in Jersey PERIOD. Hotel was nice too. They got my five stars.

Very convenient place to stay, room was spotless and very comfortable. Close to Ramapo College.

The best hotel I have visited on my USA trip. The view is beautiful, alone if you use the elevator. The rooms are very well maintained. The breakfast was so far with the largest selection and the service is very friendly. Gladly again!

Nice looking hotel, friendly staff, clean rooms, however the hotel isn't as shiny on the inside as it looks from the exterior, low drop-tile ceilings and lack of outlets made it feel somewhat out of date, not show-stopping, but not quite what I expected from Sheraton

We had three events at the Sheraton from August 24-26, 2018 a welcome dinner, our wedding ceremony, and our wedding reception.

To start off, the day-of staff Mustafa and his team - are absolutely incredible. They deserve five stars for their hard work and help in making everything go well on our wedding day. Mustafa went out of his way to make sure every detail was to our liking and he was extremely helpful to our families and our guests. He is very friendly, easy to talk to, and our parents liked working with him. He takes care of the bride and groom as well making sure we were fed, hydrated, and enjoying our day. Overall, we loved working with him!

The two-star review goes for the sales and catering team and management of Sheraton. We picked the Sheraton because of its location/outdoor ceremony space, and while we are happy with that, we strongly encourage future brides/grooms to consider the amount of frustration, aggravation, annoyance, and stress that came along with the view.

Here are some lowlights:

For context - we signed our contract with Felix Hidalgo. He left a month before our wedding. We were then put in touch with Paramita. She left the week before our wedding. We ended up working out most of the details with Sara (the director of sales) just days before our wedding.
Felix had promised us small concessions to ensure our wedding weekend would go smoother. These were all agreed to six-seven months before our wedding and we not only counted on these concessions, but made plans around them (e.g., sharing that information with our coordinator, vendors, and family members). After he left, management refused to honor our agreements unless we provided written proof. When we told management that we didn t want to waste hours digging through emails and asked them to look through Felix s old emails again this is the month of our wedding they rejected this and asked us to provide the documentation. As a result, we had to spend hours digging up this information just so that the Sheraton could honor our basic agreements. As a side note, this particular process was beyond stressful.
After we signed our initial contract last year, the Sheraton staff was extremely unresponsive. It often took multiple emails and follow up phone calls to get an answer to a simple question. After Felix left, this became even more problematic with Paramita and others on the team. What we had to do was copy Sara on emails and work directly with her to get anything done. At the same time, there were moments of unprofessional behavior from the staff (see photo with the email).
The Sheraton staff could not complete simple tasks. For example, we could not get a layout of the ballroom and a seating chart for our reception, despite multiple requests for one we ended up making it ourselves on PowerPoint the week before the wedding.
The stage for the mandap is broken. Part of it is jutting up and one of our parents tripped and almost fell during the wedding. This is extremely dangerous and needs to be addressed by the hotel.
The elevators are a mess. They were broken and took forever, often stopping in between floors! Our guests complained about the elevators because it often took 20-25 minutes to get downstairs.

So I stop in tonight for dinner with my general sales manager, I work at Prestige Lexus just a few miles south, because there's a snow storm and he's not driving home in it.
We let me tell you I was blown away by the appetizer I had, the Tuna Poke, a super fresh sushi grade yellow fin tuna that was as good as I've ever had. And I try the tuna everywhere I go. The New England clam chowder was spot on too, plenty of clam and surprisingly light on the potatoes. Usually it's too much potato and hardly any clams. We ate at the bar, 3 of us and our sever Pam was awesome. Good conversation but not to chatty, and kept the glasses full. Also had a shrimp appetizer that was tasty too.
Will return with my family to try some entrees next time.

I always stay here when in town. Mostly a good place, it is being worked on always.

Biggest hotel in the area also regularly host private events definitely check out the Dead Man's Curve car show at the end of August beginning of September

Very nice and clean the loby was extremely cool and the entire building is an amazing sight

Rooms were very clean and the entire hotel is beautiful with good staff. The bar area and special occasion ballroom area were very nice for gatherings.

So far so good! I will check out on Oct 2nd. Everything has been good so far. The hotel staff are friendly and patient. The room here is much nicer than Park Ridge Marriott. I think I will choose this hotel as my regular stays whenever I'll be in this neighborhood for work.

Very nice layout. Staff was very professional and the location is easy to get to.

My second time staying at the Sheraton Mahwah. The hotel is beautiful, rooms are comfortable and breakfast was delivered to the room on time and was great. Only negative is I was not made aware there was a high school senior prom going on the same evening as my stay. Needless to say I was awake a good part of the night due to the noise.

Great location with plenty of parking. Away from the city traffic, and right off the highway so very easy to drive anywhere you want to visit in the suburbs.

Bad food, old hotel lacking on everything

Cleaning was required. The heat was a little less. Needed more room temperature control.

We'll first they started with not being able to get me the room i a paid for. Second there was fee for breakfast apparently 47 dollars for eggs that wasn't even tasty and a small cup of juice and frozen potatoes. At check out we asked them why the eggs were 47 dollars and they had no clear answer to it. So don't fill out that form gor breakfast in your room cause theres no prices they charge what they like.

We experienced a very clean room, comfortable bedding and comfortable beds. The staff were all very attentive and the hotel was very quiet. We will stay again. Location is perfect for travel stopover, so close to the highway. Search online to find dining nearby.

It was a great hotel! Clean and very comfy. The only thing was our room was a tad small but we did get a great rate on it so thats how it goes sometimes!! I would stay again anytime!!

Good hotel but could have been better considering the brand

Was here for an event, the staff was stupendous, the food delicious, the accommodation delightful.

I booked two nights in a queen bad room. I did see all reviews where people are complaining about getting a different room from what they had ordered, however I didn t believe it and so didn t I believe that it will actually happen to me.

Well, Sheraton fooled me! And proved that yes one could book a king or queen and actually receive a double size bad or worse...

If this itself then I wouldn t be so upset it when I finally got to my room the smell was terrible and stale...

The room change along with the bad smell made me write this review so should others know what to expect.

The Manager is very rude to service people walking throughout the hotel and it was very distracting to me as I was walking through the lobby today. This is not the first time I have witnessed his poor attitude. He is in the hospitality field, being hospitable is his job. Very disappointed to see that Sheraton would allow their manager to disrespect hard working individuals like this. Very disappointed and I will not be back, ever. Will be sure to not let anyone I know stay here either. We were interested in booking a wedding with 200 guests but your manager has single handedly changed our perception of this establishment. Please correct his behavior. This is unacceptable.

Great stay. Rooms were clean and the bathroom was clean as well. Price was decent for the accommodations.

Very nice, all the details I would expect from a Sheraton. However, neighborhood is definitely not desirable.

It's an enjoyable stay. Has an upscale feel, but there isn't much in the immediate area to do or see. It seems like everything is outside of walking distance.

I got a king suite guestroom and the room is nice, but is not updated like other hotels I've stayed at. The TV in particular has some age, but if you don't mind a max of 720p then it'll be fine. It is an older Sharp Aquos, but still has good picture.

The small refrigerator is a little noisy as it can be heard when everything else is off, it's under the TV stand if you're looking for it.

The view from the room is quite nice as can be seen in the pictures.

Overall it's a nice stay.

Nice hotel / business center, the gym is small but has everything you need and has a nice indoor pool. The outside views from the top floor are fantastic and is about 20 minutes away from the Woodbury outlet mall.

I was there just for a business Convention, was very pleased!

I am sorry to say that my experience at the Sheraton Mahwah hotel was awful. The rooms I had reserved smelled like skunks. They quickly replaced our rooms with a room that had a dirty bathroom and didn't have any other rooms available. I am a Marriot Platinum Rewards member and used my awards points to book two rooms for two nights - confirming that I wasn't going to be charged for these rooms with the exception of dinner - however I was charged nearly $300 for my stay ($200 over my dinner tab). I've called 4 times (twice with the Manager of the hotel) and they have not corrected this simple error. Their sales staff told me that the charges were "upgrade fees" - seriously? It was clear that this hotel is not staffed/experienced enough to operate and handle its customers at an acceptable level. While I was there - I overheard another guest being told that his reservation was no longer available. Poor. Hope your stay is better than ours...
I would like to add that I've noticed many of the poorly rated (1-star) reviews listed here on Google are directly related to incorrect or false transactions and mismanaged reservations.

2nd time here. Rooms and service are excellent.
There was an over charge on my account but the front desk help me corrected it. No issue there
If you come with kids, like me. They will enjoy the pool and my kids love the elevator.
The pool is heated and the area is nice and warm.
The elevator has a see-trough glass wall, where you can see the lobby and their courtyard, the best thing is, the elev. Is damn fast.
Get the package with the complimentary breakfast, is worth it.
Lots of sites food and malls around.
20 mins from Woodbury Outlet mall. Snd 30 mins from Mt. Peter Ski

I really enjoy staying at this beautiful -and clean- hotel whenever I go to the world famous shopping outlets at Woodbury (NY). Their customer service is awesome. I usually request the Mountain view suites.

The pool was warm but the occasion that happened at 10 pm was disappointing

There is not enough staff to meet everyone needs. Room service so slow to bring towel or shampoo.. excuse of only person working in room service come down to pick up or wait about an hour

Great morning breakfast, quite and peaceful for a morning start.

BYOP...bring your own pillows, as theirs are horrific. Also, thin walls = lots of noise...guests and just elevators, mechanical room, etc.. Also asked for room with a mountain view...didn't get the right side. But otherwise, clean, friendly staff, and neat hotel overall. I'd stay again as the noise wouldn't keep me up, and I'm sure they can accommodate the view...but unfortunately my back is killing me and got zero sleep thanks to horrible pillows
