My Chevrolet was due a cam belt change and service , MOT and some other repairs. I was hunting around for a garage who still had the skills and wanted to work on this now obsolete brand.
FG Barnes are very helpful and did all the work to keep my Chevy on the road . I have to say I will return as a regular customer. Many Thanks

Great customer service right from the word go, Howard was my sales assistant through my whole experience and he never once lost interest or tried to force sale upon me. Julian the sales manager also assured my fiancee he can help her from a bad finance deal at another company so thank you very much to the whole team.

The Service staff were incredibly helpful and informative throughout my Service. I was offered refreshments and my car was cleaned to showroom standards. My paperwork was presented in a very professional folder. My car was brought round to me so I didn't have to go and find it and I was escorted out by the Service Manager to my car. Excellent service and personal care given by all.

Patronising and assuming that I should have known better - not very informative.

Waiting time is appalling.

One of the best servicing centres I have used. I have been with them for 4 or so years and I always go back. Friendly service every time and I never feel like they are trying to rip me off. My car is new, 3 years old so never really had any major issues but whenever I have had any issue, called them up and they would fit me in right away. Always do the job quickly and really well, making my car feel new again. I will continue to use them for as long as I own a Vauxhall. Absolutely amazing, would highly recommend them.

I went to Barnes to sort out a problem both Now Vauxhall and Go Vauxhall had failed to sort out, never will I go back to them. Barnes Service looked at the problem got a mechanic to check and a week later the car was serviced and the problem was finally solved over a year after it started.

Whilst I was being looked after by the service dept my wife was being looked after by Becky on her first day with some help from Nigel. She bought an 18 plate Corsa part exchanging her Corsa on a good deal. Whilst my dear wife was out test driving the Corsa I spied an Insignia GSi hatchback that looked lovely. I eventually borrowed this for a day and last Friday Nigel handed me the keys of my Insignia Bi Turbo GSi Tourer. What a car!

So a big thank you to Barnes, they restored our faith in Vauxhall, they are a very friendly and helpful dealership that is not afraid to ask if they do not know the answer.

Be careful though you might end up buying a car. Well done guys keep up the good work.

Excellent service, and the staff in the garage and at the desk were highly professional and really went beyond and above. They also showed a genuine interest in getting the issues with my car resolved.

They are now my first port of call for any problems that need mending, highly recommended.

The particular salesman I saw was all over the sho...

The particular salesman I saw was all over the show with his presentation. I could not get a sensible, straight answer out of the guy to a simple question.

I finally managed to get a quote from him for a 48 month lease plan, and it turned out almost 30% more expensive than an online quote for exactly the same lease plan.

The only positive was having the opportunity to test drive the car, which, obviously, you don't get to do with online purchases.

This is a really nice dealership to buy a Vauxhall from. They have a good range of vehicles but to my mind it s the staff and their after care policies that make such a difference. Sales staff are excellent, non pushy and very knowledgeable about their product. It s all backed up with a great service team too. Their after care is excellent and they will sort out any issues that you may have after purchase. They don t wriggle and worm, it s more a question of this is the problem sir so let s crack on and fix it and keep you feeling happy . Good job guys and thanks.

You'll call for the parts and service but stay for the terrible experience.

I highly recommend buying a car used/new from FG Barnes Guildford.

I brought my new Vauxhall Corsa Griffin from Alex Bax, he gave me outstanding customer service and made my entire purchase a breeze. He answered all my questions and made sure that I understood everything and had everything ready for my collection date. Both me and my girlfriend have gone through Alex and we can't reccomend him more.

I had a brilliant experience with FG Barnes when my car broke down.
Due to the pandemic I couldn t get a courtesy car from my break down cover. I was met by a very friendly and professional mechanic Andy that took my key and listened while I explained what was wrong with my car, as the recovery service I used passed me my key once the car was delivered and left me to it. He could see I was struggling to get a courtesy car and went and spoke to his service advisor Rob, who managed to sort me a car out in a matter of minutes. Which meant I wasn t late to pick my son up from school.
Well done FG Barnes yet another excellent experience with you!

Car booked in for service and mot. Excellent service and reception staff extremely helpful. I spoke to the workshop staff who were also extremely helpful. Had a look round there new re developed site from the outside it looks great. When the car was finished i was shown to my car by the service manager. I will be using F G Barnes again as i have for the last 6 years

Not a great experience. Booked car in to have a piece of rear trim fixed and headlights adjusted. When dropping the car off they didn't ask to see what needed doing or check the vehicles original condition and just took the keys. I called them later to check if completed and was told yes so came and collected the car, not checking the rear trim. The vehicle was returned back to them the same day and I had to show them what was wrong, if they couldn't find the loose trim why was I told it was done?! Then wanted to book it in again in 6 days time to do a job that should take no longer than 30 minutes - found another garage who can complete the work whilst I wait

We took our motorhome in to FG Barnes to have the gears looked at for a Monday booking. They still haven't looked at it so we picked the motorhome up today (Saturday) and took it back home. How can a company book you in for a certain day and not even look at it even a week later? People do want their vehicles back you know!!! Terrible service.... do not go there

Went here after a very bad experience with Drive Aldershot. Hands down a lot better service, the booking was done online and was followed up with a call to confirm. They checked a known issue with my car whilst carrying out it's service and MOT. I will be taking it back later next week for the part to be replaced free of charge as it was covered under warranty.

I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank Alex Bax from F G Barnes Vauxhall Guildford. It is often quite difficult when purchasing a new car. However Alex certainly made this quite an easy and straightforward process. He was articulate with his ability to assure us throughout the process. He identified exactly where we would seek the benefits with the car we purchased. But mostly, he show the ability to care and put himself in the shoes of the customer from beginning to end. I am confident we have purchased a great car, but i am even more thrilled by the fact that we have the value added service from Alex which he assures me does not end here now that we have transacted. But for the years going forward.

Thank you Alex and F G Barnes Vauxhall. You guys are doing an incredible job! keep it up :)

My partner recently financed with these guys we had the best service and more he got the best deal Howard was very honest and the rest of the team very welcoming. I've had a previous bad experience financing with a different company and F G Barnes have booked me in to try and help me get a better deal with themselves ! Couldn't wish for anything better ! They didn't have to talk to me and offer to help me it was my fiance buying the car but they did ! Brilliant team can't recommend them enough !

Would have complained direct to Mr Barnes but that info isnt given out on companys house .



Part exed our lovely 2 owner ds3 27,000 mile car with these guys that was presented better than the nissan we had just brought for 19k .

Payed up front and was presented by a car that had a quick clean inside and out but took my own cleaning on arrival home to see its full potential !

There was mud all along cills and in wheel arches ,scratches on door ,dirty bed liner in rear posssibly a fizzy drink spill,found what looks like cigarette burns in drivers carpet x 3 and mud marks covered over by the floor mats.Had to air freshen inside as it smell like a dog has been left inside not pleasent.Car seems to have had very rushed wash and then tons of tyre black paint caked on the tyres they looked terrible as it was running down the alloys .

The scratches had to be machined out but my complaint about wheel rim damage was simply ignored 3 times !

Would we buy another nissan certainly we love it ! but not from this company ! I think you will find getting your money in their account and getting you and your new purchase off their premises asap is the main focus unfortunately.

I would like to thank the service team for their wonderful customer service. All I knew was a warning light was on my dial. I went into a panic as using car to deliver care to multiple clients over the weekend. On holiday this Monday and being taken the airport in my car and lending my car to my daughter and baby. FG Barnes came to the rescue. They fitted my car into their busy schedule and promptly put everything right. They have always delivered a great service but today I feel they went 'the extra mile' VERY RELIEVED AND SATISFIED CUSTOMER.

first time buying a car from a dealer and I can not fault them in any way shape or form. phone up on a Monday and picked up from car on Sunday. Alex was brilliant and extremely helpful, as I lived far away from the dealership a lot was done over the phone but Alex kept me updated all of the way sent me photos and pictures of the day. when I went to pick the car up Alex was great and everyone else was very welcoming and helpful. will definitely use this Vauxhall garage again when its time for a new car! thanks guys!

Although when I first booked my car in for a service, they were overbooked and offered a poor quality service. I was later compensated by the manger with several kind gestures without needing to do so. They were very open to feedback and pleasant throughout.

Dont honour prices on website I called and confirmed price of insignia and arranged testdrive for 3 days later as travelling 100 miles to view was told someone would contact me if any changes decided to double check web before leaving only to find they put price up by 3k and no one had rung me lucky i checked stear clear at all costs they dont even care when you call them .

I've been told I'll get a call on the next couple of days,but suddenly after 2 weeks I decided to call in again to see what's going on. I spoke again with the advisor called Oliver and he said he will call me the next day,but suddenly he didn't. However I've got in touch with a young gentleman called Dan and he was just brilliant, just make sure you go with the right advisor.

Couldn't fault the customer service of the service team. Kept me updated throught issues with my car alarm and battery .

However absolutely disgusted by the service recieved by the sales team. They have not kept me updated about a refund I should have recieved and don't acknowledge their emails. They also advertise the 12 month cover with RAC having hire cars to keep you on the road. Well not if your under 21. So I ended up having to pay for a replacement battery, to then be reimbursed, and 6 days later still no payment via bank transfer which takes 2 minutes.

Funny how if they had money owed they'd chase it up as soon as possible yet when giving it back they are absolutely useless.
