Ferrymans Tavern Review

Its okay.. We made the place a party. In general, its just a bar.

It was a pleasant evening and the live music provided for some great amusement. However, service delivery from waiters could improve and there was a shortage of waiters which resulted in one waiting quite a while to be served and assisted.

Always a buzz, good for all tastes, reasonable prices and decent food

Don't eat here, bad quality. Just go here for Beer and Live Music. Atmosphere is good. A lot of smokers / large smoking areas in and outside.

Excellent eating and drinking on the Cape Town waterfont. Moderate prices, good value.

Started off with a server who doesn't clue in on the need to tell customers what the dishes come with or don't come with. The quality of the food is terrible - soggy calamari and pasty fries. Service where customers are forgotten. Atmosphere is ok but the place could be cleaner.

While service was good, the food was not great. I had the mussel starter which had no flavour and the bread accompaniment was dry and hard. My friends burger roll was the same.

Live band....pub food and beer...good atmosphere for a chill with buddies

Love the mojito and the live bands. I absolutely enjoy it. Easy vibe nice to just relax or have a dance. Food is great as well

First time in a year service was so poor. I support Ferrymans every friday and saturday. Have regular table. Enjoy the food. But tonight had to waite just over a hour to get food so I cancelled the order had to get drink at bar as service was so poor.

Great vibe here :) We always enjoy the live music and the atmosphere. We always have the same waiter and he is great! So kind, polite & funny! The food is great too.

Best chilled place for someone who wants to get some air off the townships, great music, great view and 5 star service.

Very nice party vibe on a Friday evening - with band playing lekker songs.
However - the beer served at outside bar was a bit warm :-(

We have been visiting here for about 20 years now and have had consistent good service and good quality food. Food is maybe a bit pricey, priced for overseas visitors, but still worth it. Friendly staff. Well worth the visit when in Cape Town

Advertise Bombay gin but sell cheap replacement. Definitely no Bombay sapphire in the Gin&Tonic I had.

continues to deliver as a value for money drinks and pub food place at the waterfront. later evening the band strike up and a proper party kicks off!

What a jol!
Wondered past with my mate, enjoying the V&A museum night, heard the live music bangin' away and decided to stop for a quick beer.
A couple of beers in and some delicious food down we still having a jol.
Will definitely make an effort to see what's happening here again.

After a waiting for a long time to get service, I ended up with the wrong meal.

Great atmosphere, V&A, Cape Town, summer nights, live music, lekka food... not convinced yet? Go try it for yourself!

Here you can dine and enjoy live music when available. Reasonable prices fast friendly service. 100% highly recommended.

very loud music and badly fried food, i guess the oil wasnt hot enough... they have a good selection of beer and friendly service.
