Animated music! Price very reasonable! Customer service a bit messy, but well worth the visit!

I visited this restaurant today, the service was terrible and we ordered food when we received it our medium eggs were as hard as rocks. I won't be back.

Waiter was very friendly and the place has great ambuance,definitely a good place to take visitors for a night out

Great festive atmosphere, especially with a big ocean liner in the harbour. Lots of festive guests off the ship having a ball. Great music from the live band. Spent the evening people watching and intrigued by the local WG's being chatted up by the foreigners then leaving with them. Fascinating.
Great vibe and excellent waiters and waitresses. Thanks to Deon our waiter fro the evening

First night in Africa and were having a ball. Great live band, if you want the hustle bustle of a real mans pub, this is the place.

This was my first disappointing experience. I went several times over a week, but they didn't have several their own beers available.

Over priced and not good quality. Onion rings were not crispy at all. Raw sewage smell in the outside area

Horrified. Was here about a year ago and bragged to everyone about the amazing food...brought family all the way from Limpopo here tonight and it was the worst experience we have ever had in a restaurant...IN OUR LIVES!!! . Prawns with sand in...calamari I wouldnt pay R2.50 for, everything raw R 45.00 for a miniature glass of wine. Im so sad. This was just awful :( :( :(:(

Disappointing. The food we ordered, which was hake, calamari and chips was ordinary. The portion was barely sufficient. When the live music started we had to move inside as the music was very loud as we were there to meet up with a friend who we had nit seen for a while. We understand that not everyone wants to chat. However inside was also terribly noisy with TVs, music and the live music from outside. Will not go there again.

Is a restaurant German style beer garden Which has a variety of beers to choose from, try inexpensive drinks in good weather There will be tourists and people here to sit and drink beer. Food to eat beer Will be seafood, fish and chips, seafood, burgers, various grilled meats This shop doesn't focus on food. But mainly focus on beer drinks, sit, chill, sit and watch people walk to like the atmosphere

The venue is good and service was fine. The food was expensive and largely unimpressive. The pulled pork nachos sounded great but ended up being a bowl of flavoured (Doritos?) corn chips with salsa and other stuff and very little pulled pork for the price paid.

Used to visit all the time when I was building the v&a hotel years ago. Went back on holiday last year and had to visit. Couldn't get a waiter for about 10mins. When we ordered it took ages ( 48min ) to get food. It arrived and looked microwaved didn't smell good. My steak was rotten as was two of the other meals. When I asked for the manager I was told she wasn't available. We sent the meals back and I visited the ablutions. Walking past the bar I heard a gentleman say " oh so you the manageress ". I tried talking to her and was told that the waitress would sort it out. Won't visit again or recommend. Plenty of lovely pubs to go to

Large restaurant and bar, sometimes with live music. Big outdoor and indoor seating. It can get very busy.

Best place to be trown off before the closing time. They Will shutt off the music and take the cups off your table without asking. Worst experience ever!

Waited 25 minutes for 2 beers before myself and my wife decided to leave. The waitress(name: Previous) took our order, after 10minutes I had to wave at her and she said "it's on its way" walking past. After another 15 minutes we left. The waitress never came to us once to apologise or explain why they are taking so long. This place is very popular and has a good vibe but is over priced for what you get, dont expect good service.

This is a great place to eat...right in the middle of the V & A waterfront. There is a wide variety of food and drinks on the menu. There is a little play area for the kids and there was live music on the sunday afternoon i was there. The musical act provides a selection of old and fairly new african and foreign hits. The food is generously portioned and reasonably priced. This place is a good break from shopping or a cruise on the canal.

Great place to watch sport and awesome pub quiz on Thursdays! Menu is great as well

Seriously, just dont come here. I call it the Waterfront Spur....but it s actually an insult to Spur. Cold, bland food and bad service. Too many alternative options available at the V&A. :-(

Such a wonderful pub, I love it when they have their live music by the Ruben Gerritz group. Prices aren't too bad and the staff are friendly. When it is busy, service can be a little behind but it is all bearable. Their food is delicious and great venue to watch a sports game. Whether you want to be indoors or outdoors, you will be catered for. There is a smoking and a non smoking area and they accommodate big groups as well.

Great location and atmosphere however the waitresses need more training on how to meet customers seat them and supply menus. Last night we arrived there to be greeted by a less than enthusiastic waitress who pointed at an empty spot and that was as far as the service we got went. Waiting around 10 min for a menu (never arrived ever) i went to go get my own drinks at the bar (another exuberant price and robbery in the drinks prices R91 for a beer and a cider - Local). All in all very disappointing and waitron etiquette downright nasty. Wont be back.

Extremely disappointed in the terrible service today.

We arrived there, eager to have a drink or two. The hostess showed us to a table, put the menus down and left.

We sat there waiting and waiting for someone to come and take our order. A waitress walked past us placing a clean ashtray on the table and walked away.

We eventually got up and left. Not what I call good "service"

This bar is in the Waterfront, good atmosphere and a good variety of cold beers. Good selection of bands every afternoon and evening.

Great place for a day or night out. Fantastic food menu. Prices are reasonably good from grills to burgers & fish dishes. Wonderful selection of beers & hot stuff. Definitely one of my favourite V&A spots where you can listen to a live band or solo vocalists that just enhances the vibe. You've got to try this place !

Ferryman's was fine food was good. Had a great band playing called Earthbound. Need to do something about ladies room.This was on the wall in the toilet . Was disgusting blood on the wall .Told the waiter to tell someone to clean up

Food is good, service a bit slow and needed reminding, busy and a hot tourist spot.

Nice place for a drink and live music maybe watch some sports on TV but food (burger) was meh. Tasteless fries and old bun that was tough to slice through which cause the meat patty to fall apart like mince. Service was pretty standard service nothing exceptional.

If you visit the Waterfront, be sure to have some beers here
