This is a very nice restaurant with a great selection of craft beer, also their menu has lots to offer and the food is good. Had a good laugh at the urinals in the mens toilets what a great idea
Great place for drinks with friends. Chilled vibe and good food. Live music on a regular basis. Inside and outside seating available. Much beer to choose from as well as some cocktails They also have a kids menu and a small play area. Kids up to 10 years old eat free (see T&C's on their webpage).
Nice venue in the V&A Waterfront which is relatively affordable and serves great food.
It's one of the few venues which accommodates smokers which is a plus for adult groups.
The vegetarian hummus and eggplant with flatbread is delicious. The mussels lacked the biltong flavour as promised but was still quite tasty.

My first visit under the new management. No smoking in the legendary bar, food portions very small and no smoking in the legendary bar? It was empty inside... Not how I remember the tavern at all.

Ordered a medium rump and chips, got exactly and only a steak and chips. Steak was overdone and tough chips, stale. Service, waited long to get served on a Wednesday and follow up service to order another drink was slow to come.

Great spot... typically tourist focused due to location so don't expect it to be cheap. But certainly worthy visiting, good service from the staff and great, friendly vibe - when you singing late into the night with a group of swedes, how can you go wrong...
Can't really complain with half-price crab on a Wednesday! Food was delicious! I recommend making a booking, as I was lucky to get a table without one.
Medium minus is reportedly not possible to get beef steak even though I ordered it as ordered. It was a medium yes plus a unsolicited request. I ordered the mashed potatoes as a side dish, but I got the French side. It was fixed and when the steak quit was over, I regrettably got the same steak, but now the cold steak from the kitchen is back to me.
The atmosphere in the restaurant is good and the live music makes you feel good. The price-performance ratio does not meet in the restaurant. The experience was a bit disappointing for the food, but otherwise good.
This place is one of the more local spots to have yourself a cold beer. Over the past 9 years I've visited this place at least twice a year and their food, beer and service never disappoints. Interestingly, I tried their coffee recently, which is out of the ordinary as there are probably many other places to rather have your coffee, and I must say it was amazing! So when visiting the V&A Waterfront due look this place up and enjoy their food and hospitality!

Came to Ferrymans hoping for a quick, light meal and a beer. It was busy and the waitress was helpful but obviously very stressed. Our food arrived after 1.5 hours and a complaint to the manager! When it did arrive, my order was incorrect and the calamari was tasteless and tough. I was very disappointed.

Bar service was atrocious. Had to basically stand on my head and talk out of my backside in order to hail service for a single beer (despite pulling up way before any of the patrons that were served ahead of me). Also noted a less than 'inclusive' crowd seem to frequent this spot. Felt uncomfortable. Probably isn't like this all of the time, but I doubt I'd visit again.

One of my favorite places for drinks and dining but please do something about the sewerage smell at the corner tables near the bar, it's really disgusting especially if you're eating. If I'd known I would have sat inside rather with the smokers. Almost 4 stars but improvement needed with plumbing & cleaning service.
