Fenwick Inn Review

This was a decent no frills hotel. No major issues to report. It was clean and big enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. Good water pressure and hot water. Free Wi-Fi with good speed. The 24/7 coffee is not that good, but it'll do in a pinch. We got a great deal and would stay here again.

The price was nice and affordable, the pool was awesome but a little too warm because the hot water from the hot tub goes into the pool via waterfalls. Perfect for cool weather season, but not refreshing for summer at all. The rooms all seem to need some work and some serious detail cleaning. They make you sign a damage waiver...so go in and inspect and TAKE PICS to report, that way you aren't responsible!!! I dealt with it and asked for a partial credit and the manager was nice enough to give me a nice credit for the first 2 nights and even a credit on a different room for a bonus night! I gave it three stars because both rooms needed some serious detail cleaning and repairs. And the hallways smelled like a dispensary...

We just went to try out the 360 restaurant. There were decent portions for their corned beef specials.

Location and rooms were excellent but the hot tub was broken for two days which was one of the main reasons we booked there. Also at 400 am there was a fire alarm and we had to stand outside in the freezing for a half an hour with our toddler!

I could hear the people next door talking until midnight.

I remember coming here when I was 9 and I loved it due to the ocean view and the pool.

This the third year in a row booking with Fenwick Inn and every year we have NEVER been disappointed. Friendly staff, great housekeeping, small but efficient gym. We had a clogged toilet and within minutes staff were on top of it. Fixed and cleaned everything, this is a great hotel with just a block from the beach!!!

Pretty nice place. We had a dog, and they put us in the 2nd floor. It was clean and easy access. I wish they had balconies. I did not use the pool since there was a lot of people in it.

Dirty and over priced. Son broke out and we couldn't figure out why. Turns out we were placed on the pet floor and he is allergic to dogs. A heads up would of been nice

The room was old and dirty. We picked it because they allow pets. I'll never stay there again.

Stayed overnight with a pet. The bar upstairs was great, room was clean, everything we needed.

The Staff was great, the room was very clean and kept up..had no issues..we stayed out really late last night check out is at 11 I called down and just spoke to the gentlemen at the counter and explained to him we woke up late however we're getting ourselves together he said not a problem which I thought was awesome...the location was great my overrall experience was great..Will definitely stay here again

We had made reservations a couple weeks prior to arriving but because we were not 21 we were not allowed to stay. The closest to 21 was 22 days off and we were not able to get a deposit back that was more than half of what the entire price was, even after putting up an argument. I understand that not being 21 can be an issue, but after driving for 4 hours and waiting until our room was ready, we were told we cannot stay with no cent of our original deposit. Very upset they didn't even attempt to work with us on getting to situation solved.

Got a room #409 and upon arrival I noticed 6 pillows pulled up on the bed 2 without any pillowcases. The bottom of the bathroom door looked liked its been splitting for a long time and they've just painted over, over and over again. The bathroom floor looks nasty, cruddy, moldy and rusty, like there must've been a flood at some point. The small eating table wobbled and both chairs were stained and sink in when you sat in them. This place is not that economical in price for utter to look like this. This is my first time and it will be my last, unless they have better rooms and they just happened to put me in the worst they had.

Rooms were nice, the location is a few miles from the boardwalk but you are close by to the shore itself!

I met my wife to be there. We both have autistic kids. We get conjoining rooms every two weeks in the winter. The staff is friendly and Eric at 360 on the top floor restaurant takes care of us when we are thirsty and hungry. We love it and hope you all had a great holiday.

Great location, nice rooms, professional staff. We went for a wedding, and they did an amazing job!

Overall it was a good place to stay only thing the indoor pool is small... I kept hearing a dog they should at least ask people do they mind staying beside someone who has a pet

Staff was fantastic. Rooms are clean and pool is nice. Hotel is a bit older. One elevator had some issues getting stuck. Tubs are vinyl covers. No coffee in room. Breakfast is great. Will stay there again.

Don't stay at the inn. I submitted a complaint to the BBB. The inn never responded

A friend of mine was getting married and there were rooms blocked off for the guests. I was told to call in and let the Inn know. I am not exaggerating when I say I called in 10-12 times and every time I was immediate put on hold. Since I commute quite a bit for work, I figured I would just wait on hold while I drive. Multiple times, I waited on hold, for over 20 mins and not a single soul ever picked up!!
I finally gave up on the Fenwick Inn and we had a wonderful stay at ANOTHER HOTEL!!

I'm from out of state and when I went to check in they refused to let me due to the fact that I'm under 21. They refused to give me my money back or even a portion of my money back for another hotel. When asked if they could help us find another place to stay they gave little to no help giving us the name of one place and telling us to "call and see if the allow under 21." After checking the conformation email for the 21 check in policy it is all the way at the bottom and on the site it is in their policy section. The lady who spoke with me told me that they "understand that this is difficult because this happens to a lot of young adults and that she was very sorry." If this has happened to so many other young adults why is it not clearly stated on the first page that pops up that you MUST be 21 or even at the beginning of the conformation email, they should also add a please call and check to see if we allow under 21 check in so there is no confusion.

I have not stayed there yet but BEWARE there is a pet fee. They don't tell you till after you book. And they will not lower. I would not have book this hotel had I know there would be an extra $30.00 a night for my pet.

It s very close to the beach, and you can walk there. If you don t like the beach there s also the option of the hotel s indoor pool.

The room was disgusting! The bathroom shower rod was falling down and the water pressure was nonexistent. The ceiling in several places was falling down. The upstairs restaurant that was to provide free breakfast had no eggs. (How do you not have eggs at 9:00 am on a Sunday during a slow time of year?) The pool and hot tub were, cloudy, foul smelling, and were in disgusting condition. I would never, never, never recommend this place..

I can tell this hotel has been completely remodeled. The beds are super comfy and clean, the A/C was so nice and cold, and customer service was superb. The beach is across the street but it's a bit far from the main boardwalk (20 min)BUT you can take a bus for $3 and they give you a pass that will last you until 6 am the next day. The bus stops right in front of the hotel and they run every 5-10 minutes. We saved a lot of money in parking or uber.

Told us we didn t have our rooms reserved and after arguing they looked and found them. Toilet in room was overflowing, crumbs all over the floor and bed. Management was very rude. They don t even clean their rooms during a pandemic.

The front desk is not helpful and rude. I checked in, they didn t tell me anything just handed card to the room and said room number. Charged $20 on my card and didn t explained why. I went with my husband and son (3 years old). We requested non-smoking room, well as soon as we got to third floor the whole thing reeked of weed. I told front desk this, which did nothing about it. Will not recommend this hotel.

Within walking distance to many restaurants. We enjoyed lunch at Lizzys. Clean and spacious rooms. The indoor pool was pretty small so we opted for the beach only. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

Room was spacious and clean. Hot tub and pool were well maintained. 30 dollars extra for a small dog was a little steep and not a lot of area to walk them.

Not the place to go if you want to relax. Check in line was out the door deep in the parking lot and slow. Dogs barking night and day! So aggravating. Then found out the dog floor is floor 2 and he put us on 3 without even telling us. Don't stay on 3. The pool is also a free for all, running, screaming, jumping, diving as well as in and from the hot tub while trying to relax. You also hear water from other bathrooms behind your headboard. Shame because the bed is comfortable and it's close to the beach and a 7/11 and good pizza place.

Do not stay here. It is a dirty place. Those pictures on the website are not a true representation of the hotel.

While the location is nice and the hotel is very clean the sheets on our beds were not changed and the hall plus the elevator smelled like marijuana at times. The pool and the hot tub seem pretty big in the photos there is not much social distancing being done.

On top of being, at best, a mediocre stay with dirty rooms, stained carpets in my room, lumpy beds, staff who did not comply with COVID-19 regulations, and virtually no amenities, they charged us an extra $254 beyond what we were told would be our final price due to hidden pet fees. Our stay was not even worth the money we paid before their hidden fees, which were never disclosed to us in the booking process, or during our stay, or in any kind of receipt. I had to check my credit card, and when I called they refused to acknowledge their deceptive practices.

WAT provides a good experience for his student. salaries are the day of the day, the average work load is the average of WAT. In fact, because you are far from the center of the city, you work less than the places in the center.

Place is similar to other coastal resorts. No longer new and certainly not luxurious but clean and with no glaring issues.

Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Rooms have decent amenities. Very close to everything. 30 minutes either direction takes you to OC, rehobeth, cape henlopen, assateague Island.

Just make a note that the restaurant is still closed. The pool is usually full of screaming kids and the walls could use some soundproofing. From what I can gather my neighbors name is Richard and his companion is very religious because she was saying oh God for most of the night.

I was tempted to play the theme from Rocky. But he seemed to be doing alright on his own.

We have heard great things about this location. We made a reservation yesterday to check in today. Due to a family emergency we had to turn around and cancel. We had been on the road close to 2 hrs and had already made it across the bay bridge only to have to turn around due to a family emergency back home. We are disappointed that not even a partial refund could be given.

Booked visit for night before Memorial Day and prices for room were reasonable. They have a heated indoor pool and hot tub. As well as a small game room. All in all a great stay. Only thing that I didn t like was the bed comfort. The bed seemed really hard to me. But I also have a pillow top at home so that could just be my preference.

Good hotel. No complaints. No complimentary breakfast but oh well. Walking distance to beach and mini golf!

To do a reservation do I have to pay right away or can I put my card information in get the room reservation a pay when I get there? Can somebody please please help me

Booked a room (3 hours ago) for four months from now. Tried to cancel and they said no, I understand it said non-refundable but for a guest who stays there once a year I figured they would want to keep us coming back. Now we wont be. Also, when I called the person at the front desk said of course we can refund but after talking to multiple people they declined my refund. It is the middle of summer of course they will find someone that can fill that spot. What has customer service come to, I thought they were always supposed to side with a LOYAL guest.....

The Fenwick Inn is a location meant for people who want to spend their vacation at a reasonable priced resort just minutes away from the boardwalk by car, but not break their budget. Perfect location away from the bustling boardwalk , and check in was easy and efficient. Free parking was a plus, as well as a fridge and microwave. Would recommend for family's or a group of people who are staying for vacation.

This is not a pleasant place to stay. Their website is not the reality of the hotel. First and foremost, they are one of the few hotels that is pet-friendly in Ocean City. But don't be deceived by this. The staff was clueless and seemed annoyed that my pet was there. Next, like many of the other reviews concluded, I found that the room was a bit unsanitary. Most of my interactions with the hotel staff were unpleasant. They were standing around in the hallways and stairwells talking to each other, and their behaviors often came off as a bit creepy. If you're considering staying here my advice is simple: Don't.

I love staying here.The rooms are clean.They give you 4 pillows on each bed.No bugs.On Saturday and Sunday,on the top floor,,They have a big breakfast buffet.i really enjoyed the food.The waitress was exceptional.So friendly,she loved her job.They have a nice indoor pool,and a hot tub.I enjoyed the view from my window in the room,looking down watching,the cars and people.No far from the boardwalk.

Was clean and what I expected. Its about a 2 block walk to the beach and this is far North end of OC and far from boardwalk but if you dont want to be on the beach and boardwalk this is an excellent stay. Pool was nice too. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who doesnt expect to be pampered in luxury: this is a clean nice room for a decent price.

One of the worst hotels in the history of America. We stayed here my child's basketball tournament. The coach book this place for the team need less to say I was highly dissapointed and grossed out. The rooms are old and outdated, smell like smoke, the carpet is nasty, they have bugs, they don't care what people do in or around this hotel. It's just a seedy place so I wouldn't recommend it.

Certainly not a resort hotel but the price was perfect, but the rooms could have been cleaner in the spots that are hard to get to and there was a red cool air type stain on the bedding but I would stay there again. The location was great they had coffee all day with all the good stuff!

Our room was clean. That wasn't the issue. All weekend the hotel had no internet to speak of. I know that's a first world issue but it was an issue nonetheless. Secondly, I knew there was no coffee maker, but then to get up and go to the bottom floor to find the coffee maker wasn't working most of the weekend was even more disappointing. But what was most frustrating was the young lady working behind the desk. She needs a serious lesson on customer service basics and empathy. I don't know that we will ever stay here again. I really do feel sadly that the carousel group needs to train these people better. I hope my stay at the Cayman Suites will be a much better one.

This property has been one of our events host hotels for the last several years. This year we had to cancel the event due to weather, Lisa and the Fenwick Inn teams were very helpful with accommodating our issue.

Awesome Place And Great Place For Your Animal Companions!

Really nice place to stay in Ocean City. Always clean and the staff has always been friendly. Only bad thing is the Wi-Fi is weak. Quick walk to the beach and easy access to the Beach Bus.
