FELT Review

My company and I have been extremely impressed with the customer service and products at Sutherland Felt. Toby very patiently and carefully walked us through a series of options of various materials, and gave us samples to see and feel to make sure we were committing to the correct material for our needs.

They made no promises they couldn't keep, and managed to deliver our entire order a week earlier than I had expected. The CNC routing option was precise, fast, and affordable, and saved me so much grief from attempting it with a 3rd party. Thank you so much to Toby and everyone on the Sutherland team.

Quick delivery and was exactly what I needed. Toby helped me choose the perfect felt mat for my 'big board' ironing board. This mat is great to achieve very flat sewn pieces for my quilts.

Toby was awesome! Very patiently explained the various felt options available for the intended use. Knows his stuff! When I called back to ask a few more questions after the samples arrived and place my order, he was out of the office. However, his colleague was able to pick right up where Toby left off and help me finalize and place the order. Can't wait to receive the felt!

Great customer service. They made an error on an order that they shipped to me. Once I informed them of the error, they immediately sent me a replacement order with no hassle.

I needed a piece of heavy thick felt used as an air filter for a 50 year old Sears air compressor. Since the compressor is now obsolete, parts are not available. I found Sutherland Felt on line and and asked for their help. Because this is a very small deal for a big company, I did not expect much help....but was I ever surprised! Toby answered my request immediately and was able to help me find the felt I needed. I am impressed with Toby and a company that would take a real interest in my problem and help me out. This product is so amazing! I had custom panels made for my boys game room. I love how you can choose and size, thickness & design. It truly helps cut down on sounds as well. I ve never seen these panels in person so I had a lot of questions. The customer service representative Toby could not have been more responsive and helpful. I m ordering two more. These acoustic panels are a lot more fun than regular sliding doors!

Tom was a tremendous help with getting our small business what we needed. I had needed a circle filter felt pad that was .25" thick with a diameter of 1.75" and he did it! He sent me a couple samples to choose the density and I found the exact match. Ordered 4,000 of these perfect little felts and I am a very happy customer!

I had never purchased anything like this before so needed guidance. Toby was awesome, listened to my question and advised me well on what I needed. I got the adhesive felt for metal door frame to buffer noise in my apartment building. I'm a nurse and wasn't getting any sleep when it slammed all night. The product worked like a charm. Extremely pleased!

This is a great place for custom felt. I'm sure they have much bigger and more important customers than us, but we're still able to order small amounts of custom-cut felt. Sometimes I feel bad about calling over such a small order, but Phil is really nice about it. The cuts have looked really good, as long as I don't order a super lightweight felt and a very narrow cut compared to the height. Everything else has turned out really good.

I'm a small business owner and I'd imagine I'm small potatoes compared to other clients of theirs, but they've always taken care of my small business needs when it comes to rolled felt regardless of the size of my orders. I've been buying felt from Sutherland for about 10 years now. I usually deal with Phil M and the customer service has always been exemplary, same with the felt product that I use. Thanks Sutherland.

I ordered a large quantity of felt (145yds) for a theater project in NYC. Although there was a bit of a lead time as the felt came from South America, the salesman I worked with, Toby, was very transparent and helpful throughout the entire process. He was overly cautious as to be sure all manufacturing and delivery ran smoothly. I would definitely use Sutherland again.

I requested 3 yards of SAE Pressed wool F11 3/8" felt that is smooth on both sides. I asked this because I have gotten smooth and pilled and wanted to make sure it was smooth on both sides. That is what I requested. What I received was one side smooth and one side with a very bumpy pilling. I called a asked about it and he said that was within the acceptable range. I do understand that they accept it but I wish they would have told me that they did not have what I asked for and they refused to let me return it or exchange it or even to give me credit would have been nice. What I requested and what I received were two completely different things. If the salesman would have just told me that it was not possible to get both smooth sides I would have happily waited until they had a Class A Run which he told me that they do have now and then.
