Food was just ok because the chinese spots including carryout closer to my crib taste more flavorful to me and is less expensive. I think this is more a.spot.to meet up with friends and have good.drinks and appetizers. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was decent. I would go again but to hang out more than get good Chinese cuisine tbh. .

I got the chicken and noodle dish. I rate the service 10 and the food negative 10. Chicken had no seasoning taste and I can taste the gamy old chicken taste. The dish as a whole had no taste also. Disappointed in the food I got.
I got the Fat Dragon Tofu for lunch. It was pretty standard Chinese restaurant stir fry with a typically sweet sauce. Standard American Chinese food. Good service tho. Has a good atmosphere. I was expecting the food to be a bit different than the normal stuff tho.
I recommend Fat Dragon for it's spicy chili dumplings, and amazing green beans; they're the best! I could make a whole meal out of just those beans. The interior is clean and neat, and staff are very nice. It is not your typical take out Chinese food, Fat Dragon is an upscale Chinese restaurant!
Ordered the Mui Mui Bourbon Chicken too spicy, menu does not specify it being spicy. Exchanged it and got ramen stir fry, outstanding dish, so much food could not finish it all.
The food is worth the trip. However parking is a bit problematic although they have Pepsi products NO MOUNTAIN DEW not everyone has a job that lets them drink beer at lunch.
What made my experience so enjoyable was Dawn at the host stand. She is an absolute gem. Great spot, large portions, and an attentive staff will have me coming back.
This was my spot. The last two times the food was not consistent, the China Romen taste like a bowl of grease with no flavor and the BBQ fried rice was bland. I am very disappointed, because this place had two items that I love. Due to the last couple of visits I can t say I ll be back. :(
My husband and I, along with our son, went to Fat Dragon on Blvd tonight for the first time and it was wonderful! The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Their food was absolutely delicious and they were huge portions. I think I just might have found a new favorite restaurant! If you haven't been, it's definitely worth trying!
Delish! I got the Ramen and honestly I took it home because I couldn t finish, but it is so good regardless if you re eating at the restaurant or home!
We also got the greens beens and Shrimp rolls. I think you won t go wrong with whatever you choose here. The waiters/waitresses are very helpful when making a selection.
Good food, but the wait can be long, and if you order pickup they won't come out to let you know it's ready (even when you went in to let them know you're there).
Absolute best Chinese Fusion menu in Richmond. Food is outstanding, craft beer selection rotates and is always on point, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. A must visit for the out-of-towner and a favorite hangout for the locals.
Great place. I had the sweet and sour shrimp appetizer, fried rice and some draft beer of which there is a vast selection, including many local brews. The food was really good, cool environment, so a great combination.
Delicious food, comfortable atmosphere, accomodating staff. The menu doesn't overwhelm you with the amount of options to choose from and the portions are generous.
One of THE BEST Chinese restaurant 's in town! Portion to pricing is excellent, flavor and presentation is superb, staff and bar is very friendly! Enjoyed the relaxed ambiance!
This place is so amazing. I went there at birthday. Amazing food and the delivery was really quick. Highly recommended this place if your looking for a Chinese restaurant In Richmond. The only thing I don t like is the really big portion, I couldn t eat all of it.
The food is pretty original and I like the atmosphere inside. However, I was hugely disappointed when I ordered carryout. I picked it up, paid and took it home just to find out that my entree was wrong, my rice was missing, and the wonton soup was skimped on! This was a $30 disappointment.
Absolutely incredible! Our waitress Kat was one of the best servers I ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Was super attentive without being overbearing, which we loved. My boyfriend and I both work in the industry, and we were highly impressed. Food came out fast and delicious. Overall best dinner date we ve been on in months! Would highly recommend to any close friends or family knowing they d be treated as guests in a home and not customers in a restaurant. ( side note: everyone was following COVID rules and cleanliness was immaculate!)
I have a shellfish allergy and eating asian food is often challenging because shrimp is a common hidden ingredient. And a common ingredient. I was very pleased that the menu clearly marked dishes that had hidden shellfish in the ingredients and my server was very helpful, going back to check on a couple items to ensure they were safe for me to eat. I really appreciated that they take shellfish allergies very seriously.
On top of that, the food was very delicious and the servers were attentive. I only wish I could give them more stars.
A fav spot for delicious chinese food. staff is always nice even when they have a full house. the staff was sociable and attentive. it has a good atmosphere.
We went on a Saturday evening. It was predictably busy and crowded, as most places in downtown Richmond tend to be during this busy time. The hostess was rude and nasty which really caught me off guard. Our wait staff was pleasant and responsive. They did keep bringing another table's food to our table, but again it was busy, so that was completely understandable. The food came rather quickly which was surprising due to the amount of diners, and a good thing as we had to wait for a table and were pretty hungry. The appetizers we ordered were excellent. I believe they were the mushrooms, and shrimp as well as veggie rolls. All were delicious. Our main dishes however were rather mediocre, especially as the prices would suggest a more upscale quality of doshes. I had chicken and rice noodles. They were quite bland and required considerable additional sauces to make them at all flavorful. My friend had a chicken dish from the entree menu. She said it reminded her of Chinese food in the frozen section of the grocery store. This was really disappointing and quite surprising due to the quality and excellent flavors of the appetizers. I would consider returning, but I would only order from the appetizer menu in the future. Sorry I didnt have better things to say, but this was my honest opinion. Based on the amount of people there, others must have a very different opinion from mine, or I do not believe it would have attracted that many people even on a Saturday night.
Our party of 5 waited for an hour to be seated, which would have flown if the food/experience was worth the wait. The waitstaff was friendly and the music was catchy and cool, but the food left me wanting and the setting felt loud and chaotic. The only food at our table worth going back for was the kimchi rice (comfort food galore) and the dumplings. The Chef Zhao's chicken was overly sweet and almost tomato-y, the fried rice was a bit bland, and the basil beef was pretty good but had essentially raw halved mushrooms in the dish. I'd eat here again if friends wanted to, but I wouldn't be sad not to return.
Not a fan of the typical clientele. Most hipsters and trendistas. That being said the bar staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. They made one of those annoying cocktails that most bartenders hate, and didn't even blink. The food is good. The atmosphere is decent. Overall a good place for groups or couples to hang.
Good food, especially the fried rice. The servers are nice and quite helpful and friendly. Even the smaller back room is VERY loud, it s hard to hear the person next to you.
I love this place. I ve been here multiple times. The food is always good. The staff is always friendly. I ve never had a bad experience here. I would always recommend this place.
Way overpriced. Didn't like fried rice. Asked for non spicy tangerine chicken but came with red hot peppers so didn't eat much of it. Beef steak and onions too greasy. Curbside pickup only due Covid-19 but staff handled order process and questions with courtesy and patience.
Great food great service..hosted a networking mixer here and staff could not have been more accommodating! Very liberal kitchen, substitutions no issue whatsoever. Consistent in food quality. .one of my favorite Richmond spots..go see for yourself!
Oh.my.goodness. Delicious! There were 4 in our party. We all got something different and shared it. Everything was amazing. And great service! Will go back for sure.
I did not like the food, there was no where to sit, we stood at a standing bar in the middle of the floor waiting for our food which ended up being awful. Waste of my money.
