Fat Dragon could probably be best described as a hipster Chinese restaurant with its trendy late night crowd and well put together drinks list. It s not authentic Chinese, but they use higher quality ingredients that tend to be locally sourced. Seriously, the best General Tso s or orange chicken you ll probably eat has a lot less to do with anything other than the quality of the chicken itself. They do however have some of the best prepared calamari I ve ever had, so that appetizer comes highly recommended!

Normally Asian Fusion places are not my thing, but we came here for a friend's birthday about an hour before they closed and were told the kitchen was just about to close if we wanted to place a food order.
We made a few quick choices, the food came very quickly and was...wow...FANTASTIC!
The server was very friendly and very professional and really took good care of us.
The food selection was really good as well as the bar selection.
It was a Tuesday night and the service and food was top notch!
This is a popular weekend spot, from what I understand, but I would suggest giving it a shot midweek as parking is easier, traffic is lighter and seating choices were better, as well.

Pricing, food and cocktails never disappoint!! The setting seamlessly accommodates large/small groups and individual drinkers/diners. The menu is diverse and I have a looong list of favorites! The ambiance is inviting and upbeat (music, artwork, floor plan). I love inviting 1st timers and they are always pleased.

The food here was so good...it s depressing made me question my younger years. This is hands down the best Chinese food I have ever had in my life, and I worked in a good Chinese restaurant for three years during my formative years.

You may need to wait for a table, but it is worth it. Our wait on a Friday night was 10-15 min. The beer selection is great; the service is great. Chili dumplings, thumbs up. I had the Fei-lone beef, my bride had the Mui Mui Bourbon chicken, both were amazing. Highly recommend.

Delicious food and fantastic beer choices (though that is just how Richmond is now due to the booming brewery business.) Kimchi could be better, but I might have just gotten the bottom of the batch. Come during happy hour for two dollars off appetizers, they can be a meal in themselves.

Great food and drinks. Wish I caught his name but never let the server with black hair and glasses go anywhere. I m sure you know who I m talking about. He s fantastic. Will definitely be back!

My first visit could not have been any better here! From the first step into this place, the environment and aesthetic instantly drew me in. Our waitress, Kat, was genuinely among the best I have ever experienced. The food was top tier and very well portioned for the price. Overall, this place is a huge pleasure to be and provided and wonderful first impression! Definitely check this place out!
