Excellent staff, very helpful, good rooms, accessibility to public transportation, and view for the club is pleasant

Cozy hotel with beautiful views of the town and the sea. It is located on the top of a hill. No problems to park. What I love the most is going to have a drink there because the rooms are very nice

Update: after my original review the management replied that I should contact them again because of new cancellation policies in place due to Covid 19, seemingly to say they could offer me something more appealing, such as the cancellation without penalty I desire. I contacted them. Nothing has changed. My original review still stands. It turns out this response from management was just a way to save face in public, but it was met with no actual willingness to help out a customer whose travel plans are affected by a pandemic. But...they have my money and can lean on some fine print, so good for them. Real nice business. Here s the original:

This hotel is indefinitely closed for business due to COVID 19 yet they refuse to refund me on cancelled summer travel plans due to me booking what they call a non-cancellable rate. This is even though Booking.com told me they d have no problem cancelling it with the hotel s permission. I opened a dispute with my credit card and they are fighting it. This hotel was to be my first stop before a cruise that was cancelled due to COVID. The hotel offered to change my reservation for later this year, but at whatever their new rate is. That s what they thought a fair and kind, customer-friendly response was during an international health crisis. I have no plans to visit Barcelona now that there is no certainty of travel restrictions, no cruise booked, and a legitimate health concern. I booked this hotel almost a year ago, and they had the audacity to charge my credit card the day that I called and inquired about cancelling. It has been more than 2 months and I continue to jump through hoops with my credit card, fairly certain at this point that the hotel will remain closed through the summer and they ll need to refund me anyway. But this is tacky business

Its eccentric location brings calm and comfort by the pools.

Classic 5 Star Hotel with more than 400 spacious rooms and suites, illuminated and refined with a very spacious lobby with a well decorated restaurant and splendid gardens for events, weddings and other events. The customer service is of superior quality and service.

Excellent service, good food, great value. One surprise some of the best burgers in Barcelona. The one side of the hotel has great views of downtown. The hotel is great, it is a few blocks from the metro so you can get to anywhere in the city in 40 minutes or less. We were in town for a wedding and departing for a cruise. Would love to visit again in the future.

Excellent hotel, good service, excellent view. All things. First, one day the food at lunch left much to be desired, and second, that they did not have a computer or office space available to do the review of some documents and / or print because the only PC they had was in maintenance.

Loved the hotel, the staff, their food and service! First hotel where I found cruelty free bath products with rose essence! Only its location is a minus, as it takes some time to travel to the city center, about 20 minutes by taxi.

Splendid hotel ... Staff attentive. Really deserves its 5 stars. The downside is that for a luxury hotel, the spa is not included in the price it's a shame not to include it in the rate would have been perfect. Otherwise its worth the detour excellent hotel.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, a bit out of the way but if you enjoy the peace and quiet and the seclusion then this place is great. The rooms were very clean, the only discrepancy I had was the shower cubicle is a bit small but other than that perfect. Staff are friendly and very helpful.

So elegant, clean, amazing place to chill out, food delicious, and staff so friendly.

Nice hotel, some renovations done in last few years. Been there in 2014 as well and it has recently seen a facelift. Nice bar and amazing lobby. Location is not very good unless you are there for a conference. Bar is expensive at 5 a coffee. But there is no other places to go to. Staff very friendly.

Luxury hotel with 25,000 square meters of gardens with incredible views of the stunning Barcelona skyline. It is located on the prestigious Avenida Diagonal and surrounded by major attractions such as the famous Camp Nou stadium and the Barcelona Polo Club. With 395 guest rooms and 37 suites, excellent service and free wifi.

Probably one of the worst luxury hotels in Barcelona.The location and especially the staff are especially bad.From the doorman, the concierge and even the security they do not work to face the public.It is not surprising that it emptied most of the year.

Hotel open amazing place to spend you the time when you are in Spain, luxury, the best open restaurant in the middle of a XIX century garden and a big pool in the middle of Barcelona.

Nice and comfy hotel and their staff are very nice people. They are courteous and warm making me feel at home. The bed is very comfy as I slept very well at night or perhaps it is due to jet lag. The only grouse I have is that the shower area is too small and there is no place to place my shampoo and face soap. It is so small that when I shower, the water leaks out to the outside and the floor becomes water logged. If they fix the shower area, it will be five stars for this hotel. One side of the hotel catches the sunrise and the other side catches the sunset. My room was facing the side that catches sunrise.

Friendly and helpful staff, a quality of service that is becoming rare.
As a Accor Hotel platinum member I was welcome with a tasty chocolat gift.
Very nice hotel, excellent bed and good space. The bathroom is well equipped with both a shower and a bath, but this leads to the shower to be on the small side.
Excellent breakfast with excellent service by the staff in the breakfast room and at the cooked to order station. Quality products well prepared and arranged. In some place breakfast buffet stalls quickly become messy, but not at the Fairmont, possibly a combination of the stalls design and the continuous care of the staff.
Overall one of my best breakfast experiences!
Last but not least, the gym is great, actually it's the Royal Polo Club, right next to the hotel. Initially I felt a bit puzzled about going out of the hotel, but it's worth the 'inconvenience'. So don't consider it as the 'packed' hotel gym, but as a real sport club, with gym, swimming pools, sauna etc...and enjoy it.

I have recently attended an event at the Fairmont Hotel and I have been impressed, from the quality of the food, the service and the incredible gardens they have. The human team is very helpful and friendly, the food is haute cuisine, well presented and with an incredible taste, it is appreciated that they use fresh and top quality products. The venue is an event resort, you feel away from the bustle of the city being practically in the center. Without a doubt it is a place that I would recommend to celebrate any type of event
