Well your doing a night on the town be sure to do it right and book your rooms at the fairmont. Exceptionally well appointed rooms, lobby, and dining areas and extremely well refined staff! They have my business for life!

Was at the Fairmont for a wedding 10/24-27. The rooms were lovely, the hotel staff were friendly, professional and courteous and I had the most wonderful massage at the spa. This hotel set itself apart by its dedication to its guests and I was particularly touched by the return of my lost AirPods to the front desk by the excellent cleaning staff. Integrity meets service! Would definitely stay here again and 100% recommend it to my family and friends. Thank you Fairmont for a lovey stay!

Excellent attentive service. Dog friendly (they have dog beds and water bowls available on check in for your pets), although make sure your dog is comfortable in a long, despite it being fast, elevator ride. A couple of minor negatives for those with pets - the closest place to walk your dog is a small stand of trees and dirt across Market St; not all bathroom doors lock or even close fully (our room had a frosted glass door to the toilet area that didn't close fully or have a way to lock, probably fine for a couple or close friends who respect boundaries, but not so good with curious pups). Parking was good, below the hotel, with good rates. Easy check in and out experiences.

I was here for training and the room was such a dream to come back to. Lovely view of the river too. The bathroom was great for doing my makeup and came with lots of lovely smelling soaps and lotions. I had room service breakfast each morning that was quite a treat to wake up to. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating, especially if you're from out of town.

Location is in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh. Close to the ppg arena. Rooms were nice and clean, but the coffee mugs were dirty. Nice bar downstairs, great to have drinks and get some work done.

Enjoyed their s service and looking layout , However gentleman at valet could be more polite to guests like myself who don't dress in business attire as to not advertise my income. They should be equally nice!

The hotel was nice and a great location. The staff was really nice and friendly. However we had no soap in our bathroom and no ice bucket. Also no coffee or coffee cups in our room. Very disappointing. A great hotel you would think the usual items would be there.

Lovely room with bridge/river views. In an accessible area in downtown. Its very close to the cultural district, north shore, and strip district. This hotel is one of the only hotels in the city that has a spa. Overall staff was friendly and helpful. This will be my go to hotel for now on!

Stayed in the Presidential Suite. Expected better. Nobody offered to help us with our bags when checking in which was a surprise, but otherwise the staff was very friendly. Pros: The suite was large and had great views. Bathrooms were great and appeared clean. Kitchen was beautiful. Master bedroom was spacious and clean. Comfortable bed and linens. Cons: The TVs in the bedroom and living room were too small given the scope of the rooms. The entertainment center in the living room was old and damaged (needs replaced). The wooden floors in the corners and underneath furniture (within normal eyesight) was dusty and in need of cleaning. All of the mirrors were streaked. Handprint was on the coffee table. Made me think seriously about what else was overlooked. Food was okay, nothing to write home about. Overall: I expected a much cleaner suite, updated furnishings in the living room, and larger TVs that fit the sizes of the rooms. Considering this is their best suite, we will try a different hotel next time to see what else is out there.

Check-in and out was simple and efficient, and staff was polite. However, for a five-star hotel, I did not expect to see mold/mildew in the crevices of the shower, and lots of hair in the drain as well. Since we only stayed one night, we did not bother to take a shower because it was rather disgusting. Hoping to have a better experience at another location in Pittsburgh, next time. Average experience.

Great place to stay for any reason in the Pittsburgh area. Close to the stadiums and casino could walk on a nice day. Place was extremely clean, food and music were great, and the staff was very helpful and pleasant. By far best place I ever stayed in Pittsburgh. Great restaurants within a few minute walk and the staff was helpful in recommending where to go eat. Thank you.

I parked in the deck below the Fairmont, and used the lobby bathroom before cutting through to the exit to walk the rest of the way to my employer. As usual the lobby and lobby bathroom we're spotless. As usual, the staff is very friendly.

I'm appauled by the housekeeping service here; all other staff is great, but given how dirty, (literally a thick layer of dust across ALL surfaces or the bathroom), I'm completely turned off by this hotel. I've stayed at nicer Holiday Inn's

The good stuff - it's conveniently located, the staff is generally nice, the rooms were clean and the bathrooms were very big. The negatives - our mini bar was previously rifled through, there wasn't a single bottle of water in our room or on our floor, the concierge doesn't really understand what fine dining recommendations are, and there was a fee for the wi-fi despite the room rate being much higher than expected on a dead evening in February. Nothing earth shattering, but there is nothing about this hotel that is 5 or even 4 star worthy.

Hotel is nice.

Hotel is nice.
But boring.
Downtown Pittsburgh closes up when the sun goes down.
Why even around 10 pee-em, the only thing open is a lonely 7-11.
Do you have to drag out to Oakland for some night life??

For the money...I have stayed in much nicer Fairmont hotels nationally and internationally. Example... Fairmont in Hamburg Germany. That one was a true 5 star exceptional hotel in superb location. As well as Fairmont in DC. This one simply does not measure up to those at all. I was disappointed since I thought it would as nice. Too bland..nothing special. They cheapen out on design but still charged you for FULL luxury based on the name alone.

Please, do yourself a favor and stay here. You will NOT be disappointed. This place is hands down THE BEST hotel in Pittsburgh to stay. Comfort, class, style, elegance. The staff is impeccable and cater to your every need. The concierge Eric, none finer. Warm, inviting, friendly. Suggest you stay in the German Board Room - heavenly. I've never stayed at a finer establishment. Well done to all.

I stayed at the Fairmont, Pittsburgh two years ago, and couldn t wait to return. Sadly, though, this trip didn t compare. When I walked into the room, the curtains were drawn, the sun shining through the room, and all I could see was the dust and fingerprints covering the glass top desk/table. My reservation was for two guests, but only one robe available. On the upside, customer service was spot on. They were polite, helpful, and so friendly. I m on the fence for the trip I have planned for later this summer. May stay on the other side of the river.

The friendliest staff I have ever encountered at a hotel is hands down located here. They make everything from the welcome to leaving an amazing experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone who visits.

make sure you get a riverside view ...ahhhhhhhh ..makes you proud to be from Pittsburgh, I actually was born and raised on the Northside, It was delightful to look out my window and see my childhood Middle School & High School..

I really wanted this to be a 4-5 star hotel. Eric rocks the concierge services, but it basically stops there. Before I talk about the multitude of problems, I want to make it clear that Eric is a saving grace to this place. He is absolutely committed to making sure the guests have an amazing time and I cannot say enough amazing things about him. He cares, knows your name, and will not stop to find a dining experience that suits your pallet and desires. He is over a 5 star.

The rest of the hotel has little to be desired. My room was OK. The bathroom was full of dust under the sink and the wallpaper was gashed. I do not expect that when I am paying $400+ a night.

They charge a ton of money for valet, but fail to tell guests it closes. On a SATURDAY NIGHT at 11:00 p.m. we sat in our car and waited for Valet- no one showed. We walked in to complain and were then told that valet closes. I quickly inquired what I was paying for then they offered to comp the valet. Not the point- I am staying at a 4 star and it should comply...

Second- came up to my room. We left at 5:00 pm earlier and said we needed a mini bar freshen up (drank coffee and water). Back at 11- had not been done. No one ever even entered the room and no turn down service. I called the from desk and again was told they were sorry and would send housekeeping. I was further informed that turndown was upon request only, yet no one ever told us this. So I said I want coffee for the morning and turn down during my stay.

Next day- we went to breakfast in the hotel. Ordered french toast and pancakes with soft bacon. The bacon never came and when they brought the french toast and pancakes, we had to ask for butter and syrup. I thought, wrongly apparently, that this should come with the meal.

I called the night before to get turn down during my stay. Come home to my room at 1030 p.m. and no turn down. At least valet was open (or so we thought). They guy just sat at the desk. Did not approach the car let alone open our doors.

Bottom line. Pittsburgh is an awesome city. If this place does not get it's act together, they will be out of business. I really REALLY wanted to love it here, but it fell very short of my expectations of a $400+ per night hotel. Look elsewhere.

Overpriced, did not follow billing instructions for large party - taking 5+ days to refund and bill properly. Rooms were overpriced but had nice views. The Habitat restaurant was ok, food was cold and overcooked.
