My boyfriend and I cashed in a gift certificate here the other evening, and we had the most pleasant stay. Since we just had a busy few days, we weren't dressed in fancy attire; we were not treated any differently than any other guest and were met with genuine kindness, respect, and helpfulness. We brought movies to watch, and they even found us a DVD player and set it up for us while we went out to dinner. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Thank you for a perfect evening.

This really a great spot because it is centrally locates in downtown Pittsburg. It was a Bank before and the lobby is pretty unique. We sat and enjoyed drinks in the lobby before bed.

The hotel is located in walking distance to all things Pittsburg. Baseball football museums and shopping

My experiences at the Fairmont are consistently excellent. The staff is extremely friendly and professional, without excess "small talk" that can sometimes feel awkward. The rooms are always clean, and they have extremely comfortable beds and linens. I just found out they even have a Hotel Dog, that you are invited to take on a walk or just to visit! Beautiful views from every floor.

When dealing with a customer's dilemma with room cleanliness, you always want to figure out what kind of expectation they have. My wife and I were really anticipating a great stay, but our cleanliness concerns were largely ignored. Stains on duvet, bed skirt, curtains, etc, to go along with ripped sheets and pillow cases...we had a surprising introduction to the Fairmont. We were basically thrown a clean duvet and remote, that was missing from the room, and given little consideration with an undeniably subpar room, particularly during COVID-19. Very disappointed with our first stay. Had much higher expectations.... But again, a clean room , without a littany of cleanliness issues, was not asking for much. Thats a reasonable expectation.
We were also shut down from ordering a couple appetizers and grabbing drinks at Floor 2. We had to order an entree if we wanted to sit in the virtually vacant restaurant.. I certainly haven't been to any restaurant so far during COVID with that restriction, I mean , we are ordering food after all...
Just a really big bummer all around.

Update: They gave me a blanket response via google. When I call, as they asked me to, No one returns my voicemails.

It was lit fam. But seriously the staff was very kind and resolved all of my issues in a timely matter and the hotel offered amazing views with the best water pressure I've ever seen in a hotel!

We only went to their spa. But, it was an amazing experience. We used the eucalyptus steam room and dry sauna. Then, we had massages and facials. Both treatments were very relaxing. We ended our spa day with manicures and pedicures.

My best friend and I returned to my home city for the weekend to relax and treat ourselves for our birthdays. I specifically chose the Fairmont for the many ammenities offered, believing that if COVID protocol prevented us from fully enjoying the city (which it did), we'd still have the option of the many ammenities provided by a luxury hotel stay. All online information about the Fairmont, including the company's website, highlight and heavily market the activities, comforts and accomodations as a major benefit of making the Fairmont one's preferred destination via pictures, virtual tours etc. The site ensured patrons' safety and compliance with pandemic regulations (which is greatly appreciated) but made no mention of certain on-site ammenities being restricted, entirely unavailable or staff discouraging utilization of the few provided.

There is no pool (even though it is referrenced on the hotel's own pandemic compliance website) no jaccuzi, terrace or outdoor relaxation area of any kind, the steamroom, gameroom and main floor cocktail area were all closed, there was no refridgerator in the room or way to acquire one after a certain time so all of our leftover food and beverage sat out for the evening and went to waste, and the sauna was available by reservation only and "for an additional charge to deter guests from utlizing its service."
When inquiring to a staff member about various ammenities shortly after arrival, he said that the sauna and steamroom were reserved and unavailable for the entire weekend (which was untrue according to other staff members I questioned later), and rather than being apologetic or politely offering alternative suggestions, he abruptly and repeatedly said "no" to every inquiry and finally, in a frustrated and dismissive tone said verbatim "everything you are interested in doing is what the restrictions are trying to prevent" then advising us to remain in our room for the duration of the stay. I work in an operating room and fully understand the threat of the pandemic and the importance of protecting myself and others. However different areas have varying regulations and my desire was to fully utilize and enjoy what little time I had away from work and my visit to my home city while complying with protocol.

I believe the staff could've been more fully informed of what is and is not available to their guests and the online information including the company's website could have mentioned even once that ammenities are very restricted and discouraged from use. Had I known this prior to my reservation, I would have selected a much more basic, inexpensive hotel chain, most all of which have pools and a fridge.

Fortunately the view was great, the room was nice, clean and spacious and all but one of the staff were very friendly and attempted to be accomodating. However, that can be achieved at most, if not all hotels and was not worth the expense of the Fairmont. If all I required was a room with beds for a night or 2, I'd have stayed at a Comfort Inn or other more modestly priced hotel chain. The Fairmont is beautiful and in a good location but because of the COVID restrictions, not much sets it apart from anywhere else in the area except that one can stay at other places and have basically the same experience for a fraction of what I spent on my stay this weekend.

Highmark put us in this hotel and we were very pleased. It was easy to park under the hotel and walk through the city at our leisure. Visits to Highmark companies were easy with transportation.

The hotel was incredibly gracious as they provided my wife with a small brunch in her room. The staff was too notch and the facility was well kept.

We recommend! It is also wheelchair friendly!

I cannot understand why anyone would give this hotel anything but five stars. Located smack dab in downtown Pittsburgh, the Fairmont could not have a better location. Soaring above the buildings around it, the hotel's views of Pittsburgh and the river are fantastic. This is a big city, sophisticated hostelry. Staff is professional, well trained and friendly, like almost everyone in the city of Pittsburgh.
Our king bed room was large, with a comfortable bed, good lighting, plenty of outlets, and the requisite television with dozens of channels. The bathroom was quite large, having both a tub and walk in shower. Towels were thick and luscious. Amazingly, the Fairmont Pittsburgh had Le Labo toiletries from the famed Le Labo perfumery in Nolita. Wow, I know how expensive these toiletries are. Toto fixtures are an added luxury.
The hotel's Floor 2 restaurant has great reviews, and the lobby Andy's bar was hopping at midnight the Friday we arrived.
Yes, some things are aging a bit, but a hotel cannot be refurbished every two years! Be realistic. Cleanliness can be better, but lousy housekeeping is endemic at hotels around the world. Interestingly, this problem is both political and cultural. Think about it. The sentiments propelling Brexit and the proposed "Wall" may have something to do with it.
Yet, we were pleasantly surprised by the urbane affect of the Pittsburgh Fairmont, expected in New York and London, but not in the steel city. The icing on the cake was the Pittsburgh pricing, $184.00 a night. Bravo!

I've stayed here and the accommodations are nice but most recently I used their valet service while attending a meeting in the hotel. The valet curbed my car rim, causing some unsightly damage to the wheel. I didn't notice the damage until the next day and supposedly because the valet didn't confess to hitting the curb it isn't their fault. This is not the type of service you would expect from a Fairmont. So a word of warning if you decide to park your car with them, check it closely before leaving.

Great hotel, great service, and fantastic post-visit customer care. Had a small issue with the bill, and they went above expectations to take care of it. Will be sure to stay again during our next visit

The view was so breathtaking, very professional and clean. The soaps and shower gel smelled great, felt like I was being catered to. Live jazz music at night, brunch on the second floor, no complaints!!

An excellent location and a luxurious stay. Although we spent only one night, we enjoyed the place. We ordered pasta and burger from the dine-in service, and also an in-room breakfast. The food was great and service was professional and quite quick. Would stay here again.

New standard in hotel living! This place will ruin you for all other hotels as none will be as nice and clean as the Fairmont. Love this place. Great service and staff. The location is surrounded by great restaurants, bars and activities. Short walk to the stadiums.

Pretty swanky. Of course they charge for Wifi, which sucks, but I'm used to that in swanky hotels. But God bless them, they put a _simple_ _easy-to-use_ _low-tech_ alarm clock by the bed, rather than the usual overcomplicated digital crap.

Our room was nice but very overpriced for the size of the room. You re really just overpaying for a view. We booked a room with a fullsized kitchen only to arrive to a room that didnt even have a microwave. We have stayed in way nicer rooms for a tenth of the cost. The only really enjoyable thing about this hotel was the room service breakfast and how close the theaters and nice restaurants are. On their website there are all these pictures of this amazing spa and the spa is actually just a gym and a couple of private rooms for massages. Parking is outrageously expensive and if you plan on taking your car out before you checkout prepare to be out $100. Also wifi is $15 a person for 12 hours. You would think that since you are paying $1000 for a room you would get some free amenities. This hotel in general just sucked and ruined our anniversary weekend. Wished we would have gotten a hotel five minutes from home that is nicer and less expensive. Super disappointed.

My friend and I went to Pittsburg and was asking around for a good "American" steak and was referred to Gaucho's so we reluctantly decided to go and was very pleasantly surprised at how well we liked our food. We both got a "Large Sirloin" and our meals were excellent as well as the service and courtesy of the employees!!!!...

I attended the Fairmont for a business meeting recently and the lobby and conference rooms are very appealing to the eye. The man behind the counter was able to tell me where to go very quickly and was very nice. Overall my sorry experience at the Fairmont was excellent.

This place is so classy; Very clean and stylish. Its worth every penny. Stayed here for my 5th anniversary and was offered free Champaign and chocolate. It is also very secured and the view is priceless. Some people might say it is very expensive (food and drinks wise) especially in December but in my opinion, i think it's worth it.

I haven't been to CBW in years. Went in December. I wasn't overly impressed like I would have to of been, but it was good. Our server was great, so personable and on top of it. I had the bison meatloaf and it was wonderful. Desserts and salads were okay. Will go back. Recommend.

Staff service was phenomenal from the start. The room was clean and inviting. The wifi is not complementary an charged at ~$16 per day which we weren't thrilled about. There is no fridge or microwave in the room but the restaurant is very good.
