Service was fantastic, entrance was grand, room was large and comfortable, in-room dining prompt and delicious ... But the rooms need major updating to match the price per room. It smells old when entering the room, the bathroom appears to be stuck in the 80's by the tile, tub and decor. The tub wasn't even flat and warped on one side. Another hint of needing major remodel were single pane windows and phones from the late 80's. The last part of the experience was trying to blast the air to remove the lack of hygiene by the valet person that lingered in our vehicle after picking it up.

We came up from Portland for a Seahawks game/ weekend getaway. We loved our suite at The Fairmont, it was the perfect place to return "home" after a long afternoon of fun. We watched the evening games and indulged in a three course room service meal to cap off the night! Very enjoyable stay.

We attended the Christmas Tree lighting and were impressed by the friendly and helpful staff. The trees were well worth checking out too. We didn't stay, so I can't comment on the rooms but the rest of the hotel was very nice.

We love the Fairmont Olympic Hotel! Many return visits, always the best level of care & service! It's obvious they get it in the attention to details each & every time we have enjoyed a stay here. Sheer class!

For the past six years it has been a birthday tradition for me to go to the Fairmont Hotel for afternoon tea. The food is often things I've never tried before but never fails to be delicious. I try a different flavor of tea every time I go and I'm never disappointed. The service is amazing. The staff is attentive without being overbearing, friendly and knowledgeable

Nice hotel. Fancy. Very upscale. The valet was a little spotty, even when he saw me waiting. The first day I pulled up, I ended up parking in a garage around the corner. Everything else about the place was nice.

Hospitality was great. The ballroom was nice and large with nice accents. The location is great too. If you just want to do some things downtown, see the water, or even get some nice food nearby, it's all walkable.

Seriously one of my favorite hotels ANYWHERE. The staff are fantastic, the building is gorgeous, fitness facilities and pool are fabulous, the beds are the most comfortable EVER. I just can't rave enough!

Great hotel and location. Within walking distance to everything in Seattle. Room was very nice and very quiet. Only negative were the blinds. They let too much light in in the morning.

This hotel, in general, is very nice. The rooms are nice, and the hotel is considered "historic". This hotel would have easily earned a 5 star rating, if it weren't for two incidents, that I consider "absolutely unacceptable". Before even beginning, let's all understand, that I was paying over $500 a night, for four nights. This is already expensive, however this was the only hotel available at the time of my booking, and is not overtly expensive for a hotel of this caliber. In any event; nearly every evening, I would order food from an outside restaurant (in an attempt to save some money). This was fine, until one night. The hotel staff refused my dinner delivery. They called my room, at 10PM (Nearly two hours AFTER I had placed the order), and asked me to come downstairs, in my pajamas, to receive my delivery. I was in utter shock, considering that I have NEVER ever in my experience, been asked to come to any hotel lobby at 10pm whilst in my pajamas, to receive a delivery of food. When I enquired as to why, they began telling me a grandeur story of security concerns with other food delivery drivers, etc. I investigated this, and it was and is, an absolute lie. On top of all of this, the shift manager began arguing with me (because I refused to come to the lobby inappropriately dressed, in my pajamas).

This is just the beginning, then, they charged me exorbitant amounts of money, for using ONE water bottle in the room. The hotel appeared somewhat empty, thus I came to the conclusion that they were trying desperately to make money off their customers, by not labeling any of the water bottles or snacks in the room. (See pictures). This is a Google review, hence i am keeping it short (in liue of the full story details), however, I will be writing a detailed account of my stay here, and the manner in which I was treated. I am still in shock, as I had expected the hotel to accommodate these basic requests, and to let customers know, what they will or won't be billed for, pertaining to the beverages, or snacks in the rooms. I am giving this hotel 2 stars, only because there was an amazingly nice lady who removed the additional charges upon check out. As already stated, I will be writing an in-depth review of my experience staying in this hotel. For $500+ a night, I would have expected to be treated as such, i.e. a well paying customer.

Please, view the pictures, and tell us that this does not seem like a deceptive business practice. The eight dollar labels were the 3xact same.color as the lid, which is not visible at standing level.

And, again, the fact that they would argue with paying customers, and force them to come to the lobby at 10pm, in their pajamas, to receive their food.delivery, is absolutely unheard of.

Erikka was very nice! She helped me so much in making my night a spectacular one. Im not the type to go to expensive hotels but i thought id just randomly go for it. I ended up getting two nights instead of one. Great facials too! I just didn t realize they were 174 a pop. I paid for two but hey it was a great experience. Ill make this a once a month thing when im off from work

This iconic Downtown Seattle hotel is elegant both inside and out. When you pull up to the front, there is a convenient drive which removes you from the main road, and optional valet service. Upon entry, there is a small foyer which is not the main entrance, and you can take the escalators or elevator up to the main lobby, with the registration desk and seating area.
The room we got for the night was a well-appointed executive suite on the 9th floor. It has a good-size restroom with all the usual amentities and even a bathroom scale, a nice sitting area with a couch, a couple easy chairs, coffee table, side table, and a wall-mounted flat-screen TV with a sort of counter/desk underneath it, and the entrance to the bedroom. The bedroom is a good size, and this particular room had a king-sized bed. The hotel is very clean throughout, with no odors or anything that is less than pristine. Great location for a romantic night, with convenient access to a plethora of Seattle sights and activities.

The Fairmount is a beautiful classic hotel. It has the elegance of a bygone era with a staff that excels in ensuring your needs are met. There are two on site restaurants and a lobby bar. There are also a few shops located within. Shuckers the oyster bar serves a great meal and drinks.

Great lunch. I had the salmon sandwich and the crab cakes. Both we're amazing. The crab cakes had a lot of Dungeness crab. The service was great too. I highly recommend at Shuckers in the Fairmont Hotel in downtown Seattle.

This Hotel is good but rated a five star. It should be rated a 3.5 in my humble opinion until it is brought up to five star standards. The breakfast was slow and had a long wait every morning and seemed to be understaffed and over run. The eggs were cold and mushy along with the bacon. It had the bare minimum choices which rotated daily. There was not a waffle or custom egg cooking station like at other Fairmont hotels. We were disappointed there was no Salmon offered for breakfast bar like the other locations have. The pool looked huge in the pics but upon arrival it was small. The hot tub was closed due to chemical imbalance the first two days. I love the soaps and shampoo Rose 31. There is no free shuttle to or from airport unless you want to ride in a BMW for an additional $100 approximately. I hope they make some improvements in the future to help create the ultimate Seattle experience.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of it all.

While not known for its views, I was talked into upgrading by the gentleman at the check in counter and boy was it worth it.

Bryan F checked me in and was incredibly pleasant and helpful! When I lamented I wanted a view he got right to work and set me up with a great view. It was arguably the best check in experience I ve had in a long time. Keep up the good work!

The room was just great! The the view was fantastic as you can see.

It just goes to show you how awesome staff who take the time to listen and create a great experience for their guests. Well done Fairmont, well done.

This is the fanciest hotel I have ever stayed in. Attention to detail is brilliant - they put your suitcase to a place that s easy to access. They reach out and make sure you are comfortable and address all small requests very quickly.

When in Seattle, year after year I stay here. They have just done a remodel of some of the rooms but kept it true to the history this beautiful hotel brings. I often find myself walking around just looking and wondering how grand it is now and how grand it was a long time ago in Seattle history.
The people who work there are professional and very nice! No snobbery in this hotel! The prices are fair and the rooms clean and first class. The hotel is close to everything. 4 blocks south of the hotel is the amazing waterfront with it's Aquariums, new Ferris wheel and Pikes Place Market. Park your car with valet and forget about driving.
I am a travel agent so I could stay just about anywhere, but I choose the Fairmont Olympic hotel!
When you check out in the morning, make sure you say hello to Bill, the doorman/valet. He's been around for a long time and always remembers your name.
