I attended a business social function at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier. The hotel parking seemed to be under renovation but well lit and felt secure. The hotel lobby was grand, welcoming and beautiful.
Free Wi-Fi at the hotel for all. At the Chateau Laurier you feel you walking into a muzeum due to its history and original paintings hanging on the walls.
The food was delicious, the service was top notch.

The parking garage is closed and has been for a while, so only valet ($45) or offsite parking. The driveway by the entrance cannot handle rush hour times, be prepared to wait a while on the road to get in.

Big disappointment when arriving at Chateau Laurier. While this is listed as a must visit to Ottawa and the tour guides promote it for a visit and a drink on the terrace, we expected a warm welcome and a quick tour of the area. It was quite different. At the reception a man who stands with a thermometer, who questions you without even saying hello, showing any kind of kindness and neither one nor two, literally kicks you out. Total incomprehension. We are certainly in the Covid summer period, but all places open to the public have adapted to warmly welcome tourists. An emblem such as the Chateau Laurier would therefore not be up to the standards of the smallest tourist places in the country? A simple hello can quite simply make the difference in this kind of situation.

Disappointed compared to other Fairmont locations. Parking and food are insanely expensive (and $27 for WiFi!!!!!!) at an already pricey hotel. Room was clean and bell hop.service was great, staff were very accommodating, and the restaurant patio is stunning. Good location. I would probably save my $ and stay elsewhere, but would consider revisiting for dining/drinks on patio.

Delightful afternoon enjoying the delicious Holiday Tea menu. Great service all around; staff from door-to-table were helpful and friendly. Top-notch customer service from Arthur who helped me book a follow on reservation so I can return with my family. He also helped me purchase their special earl grey blend in a lovely tin so I can extend my experience at home. Thanks for the wonderful Holiday spirit Chateau Laurier!

We had the most wonderful experience at Chateau Laurier for our wedding in May 2016. Mariam and her team was a pleasure to work with, she was timely, organized, flexible, and very supportive through our whole planning process. She gave expertise but also allowed us to put our own personal touches on the venue and catering. She really made our planning as smooth sailing as it can be in regards to venue and catering.

The food was fabulous! It was also a lovely treat to have our own full course tasting prior to the wedding. It not only gave us a chance to perfect our menu, but also allowed us to enjoy the meal without the busyness of the wedding. On the wedding day and long after, our guests could not stop commenting on how amazing the catering was! Even 5 month later, it is still often talked about by our guests.

Venue wise, we were in the Laurier Room and had our ceremony on the terrace. My only caution for those who wants to get married on the terrace is to beware of high winds . Don't use vases that are easily blow away. Other than that, an elegant, royal, and beautiful location. Getting married at Chateau Laurier really completes the fairytale wedding. Highly recommend for those looking for the perfect venue for their wedding!

Both the dickens brunch and christmas buffet have been favourites of mine for years. This year the christmas buffet was held in the ballroom and it was a grea improvement for the atmosphere.

For the non-buffet meals, i have been unimpressed with the portion sizes of some plates. As a 25 male i have left hungry. For the price, i would recommend zoes for the greater selection.

We were really hoping to get 5* services and accomodation at this place, however our expectations were not fulfilled. Not only did we have to complane twice at reception, once about not having enough towels, second time about not having More

Staff is great and will often go out of there way for you. Some areas of the hotel could use some TLC and a bit of maintenance care. Overall great stay and would definitely return the opportunity came up.

Went to get a drink and to wait for a fireworks show, great service and friendly professional staff although drinks were a bit pricey. Annual fireworks show was just right next to hotel which is a nice bonus!

Beautiful hotel. Nice mix of old history and new design. Great staff. Right across the street from the National War Memorial. Clean rooms with lots of amenities. Chromecast on the TV was a nice touch.

We attended for a quick lunch and social function meetup ib the downtown area and decided to use the Chateau as our lunch and home base point. I'd not been for many years, and the experience of the afternoon tea was a delightful reminiscence as well as a tasty treat. I would highly recommend, and i think our out-of-towners would agree as well!

I would say 1 star if it weren't for some of the staff being nice, I say some because when checking out I was giving my cards to a lady at the front and as I was handing them to her she physically turned away from me and asked another guest how their stay was completely ignoring me. I booked off of Expedia and was charged an extra $60 for nothing. The ice machines were off and when we requested any form of cooling anything it was denied. We booked roughly a month in advance and came in at check in time and was told our room was given to someone else. You have to pay $15 a night for wifi, which wouldn't have bothered me if it was written anywhere considering any cheap hotel comes with free wifi and this by no means was cheap. Also the room was not fully clean, which was shocking considering i was emailed before our stay saying they have more intense cleaning protocols, and with the amount of dust in the room it didn't feel as though that was the case, or at least I hope not. It's unfortunate I felt so unwelcome here because is was a beautiful hotel with an amazing location.
