When you walk in you are underwhelmed. It's not to up to date modern cinemas like most others in the area. There in only one ticket machine and it is a real pain to use. It is slow and the touchscreen in inaccurate. The theaters are small so they fill up real quick, but once you sit down it's pretty nice. The seats are comfortable and recline really far back. Compared to the ones at AMC they are a bit firmer. I wasn't a huge fan of the firmness but my brother really liked them. The sound proofing was not that great. The walls would rumble and the lamps would rattle from the movie next door, which got to be annoying. Again, my brother didn't even notice. They can't really change the theater size but they could at least get another machine. I enjoyed my experience enough but I'm not excited to go back. We were only there in the first place because of their 7 dollar tickets.
I'm starting to really dislike this theater. The motorized reclining seats are very very nice but every time I've gone to this theater there has been one big problem or another.
Just to sum it up
1. Most recent trip to Watch Dragonball Z- Movie cut in and out repeatedly. First time it cut out it skipped a good 10-15 minutes of the movie, right at the good part! The movie theater didn't move it back and when I complained after the movie I was just given a couple free ticket vouchers and told I was lucky I was able to see it at all (their other showing didn't work at all and they had to refund all of those others. I shouldn't have to consider myself lucky to sit in a poorly managed theater that can't get their stuff together.
2. On at least 2 other occaisons at this theater I went to watch a 3D movie and management forgot to turn on the "polarizors" (not sure if thats what they called it) which was causing problems with the 3D. There's no reason why I should have to get up in the middle of the movie to make sure managment does their job. Don't movie theaters usually have someone sit in on the movie (at least at the beginning) to make sure everything is running smooth?
3. On almost all occasions I've been to this theater I've had to ask someone to clean my seats. I'm not a super clean freak but there shouldn't be visible trash and popcorn still laying around at the start of a new movie and my seats should definitely not be sticky (which is usually the problem).
4. One occasion the movie ticket person didn't give my family and I our 3D glasses, I had to ask him after sitting down at the theater.
The reason I like coming here is I think the seats are awesome and it's more convenient to use the restroom in the middle of the movie, but if the quality doesn't improve I'm going to be forced to stop going to this theater and settle for AMC, Bow Tie, or xtreme since they don't appear to be having these problelms.
I don't consider myself lucky to sit at a poor quality movie theater that can't even play a full movie uninterrupted.
The whole family had blast here
Movie blows but very clean good stores and very bright lights
I love to bring my kids to this place is very conformable
I'm giving this a 5 star only because of the manager working Good Friday. My family went to see a movie and quickly realized he was literally the only one working. All. Day. Long. Everyone else decided not to show up that day.
That manager was a magnificent trooper. I truly hope Regal knows how unique he is and awards him appropriately.
I can't comment on the rest of the staff. They weren't there...
Super confortable reclining chairs. Can select your seat when you buy the ticket. Friendly staff. Love the place
Upgraded theater with nice seating and was a good experience
Been here a couple times, genrally is a good movie theater. I was doing a back to back movie experience and when I entered into the second theater for the second movie I was gonna see, I saw a mouse on my seat moving around. I left to tell a manager and he seemed very causual about it saying that they were above 2 resturaunts and that this happens from time to time and that they have traps out and that he was gonna tell his bosses to get more. Then he thanked me and I walked away. Then I saw him go to the theater to try and get it- not sure if he did get it- and as he passed the girl doing the tickets he mentioned what he was doing and she said that she saw a mouse earlier too... I just... egh
Ever since they got new seats with reservation, it has been a game changer. My familt loves this theater and hold it up as the standard for other theaters.
Went in here to try to get an empty popcorn bucket for my nephews costume for a school play. The manager was a complete jerk and wouldn't let me even buy one. So rude.
Somehow costs more than rave theaters. They don't always have the best movies.
Regal is the only theater i go too. The location is great, there's places to eat around. Clean theater and reclining chairs are the best.
Comfortable seats and also you can assign your seats online. Needs a little renovation in the lobby.
Nice reclining seats. Decent service and movies are not to expensive.
Love this theater. I work near here and decided to try it out and it's amazing. It makes me regret not coming here sooner. Service is quick and theater is clean.
It was a smaller theater but nice. A little confusing since nobody was manning the ticket booth.
This is my go to theater because of its location and the reclining seats. Beware, the drinks at the concession stand are ridiculously large. On my last few visits the popcorn has been subpar. The butter is layered beautifully, but the popcorn has been kind of stale and mostly the little crumbs.
I'm so glad I found this theater. Its cozy, clean, and comfortable. I've always had great experiences with the staff.
The chairs and amaaaazing. Plus, they offer different deals throughout the week. I also love their rewards program. It's free to sign up (looking at you AMC) and easy to redeem. I just wish the points didnt expire.
Anyway, the theatre is amazing.
Reclining seats, clean, overall a good place to go with the family
Looks old and a bit outdated from the outside, but the inside of the theater is great! Recliners are super comfy and the place is mercifully uncrowded on weekends. Perfect for catching a new release
My friend and me went to see Lion King. Very clean Moive Theater. very comfortable chairs
First time I had ever been in a "Cinema" that sold alcohol! Great idea...
Impossible to buy seats online with a UK credit card or Paypal account.
Went here for a special engagement. Upon arriving I had no definite idea of where the main entrance was, as there seems to be none. Once we made our way inside the place felt... Scattered and mildly unorganized. It was a small lobby connected to the snack counters (nobody was at the ticket booths at the entrance). We spoke to someone at the snack stand who was selling tickets and found our way to the theater. The theater was nice and clean with the modern recliners, except they were not the type with full leather backs. These recliners were more dense foam with vinyl skin. They reclined just fine just were a big harder than I have come to know at theaters.
Love this Regal! Fresh popcorn, clean and friendly people!
Poor movie selection!!
First this cinema didn't have and they still don't have "Avengers:Infinity War" and now they don't have "Incredibles 2" listed for their showtimes. Please do better. How do you not have the most anticipated summer movies listed in your showtime lineups?!?!?!?
I gave it 2 stars because this cinema does have great day specials, good food and comfortable seats.
Wow is was poor service all around. Took forever to get me a cup of wine cause they were out of cups and decided to say nothing and ignore me instead of getting their manager which I asked for after waiting for 15 minutes and I was still ignored. So not going back and neither are any of my friends
Not what I'm use to, place was dirty and recliners are worn and damaged. Will not be coming here again.
At this point we're so used to movie theaters that have all the greatest couches and the most comfortable seats and the loudest speakers, this theater is about 5 years passed by.While it does have reclining seats it's not a giant stadium seating in many of the theaters and it's just shabby and run down. Given the choice you probably should pick one of the other theaters nearby. It's not horrible, why go here at the going rate?
With the upgraded theaters/seats this is one of the better theaters around. I love being able to recline and relax in a large chair while watching a movie!
It is clean and comfortable, staff are very nice, the popcorn is tasty, the chairs recline, and the connected parking garage is convenient.
Not a bad seat in the house. But the price is high.
Plenty of free parking, Beautiful and well maintained shopping complex with all that you need. You can start with shopping in bed bath, TJ max, you can shop groceries in Safeway, you can have lunch or dinner at five guys or panera or baja fresh or china king, you can watch movie at regal cinema theaters. Close access to westox, 66 and 29. Nothing to complain. Awesome shopping complex.
staff was very friendly envirinment, atmosphere was super good and decent highly recomended for family gatherings
Perfect place for movie dates. Good menu and excellent sound.
This and Dulles Regal are the best Regals in Northern Virginia. Seats are reclining and are reserved. This one is probably my favorite though because they show new Korean releases almost weekly.
One of my favorite movie theaters. Wednesday is $5 movie night
The reserved reclining seats are comfortable and roomy.
For people with disabilities, it is important to know that they cannot enter the cinema at ground level. I wish we had called ahead because the staff would have told us to drop off my mother and her walker at the top floor of the parking garage (by the elevators). From there it is all level to the cinema entrance. But still about 2 blocks worth of walking each way (including the theater we used).
Good place for watching Korean popular movies, and then you enjoying as half paying in early morning.
Nice cinema, the seats recline all the way which is very comfortable!
Didn't realize they have the fancy reclining chairs! Expensive but good
Really love some of the seats allow you to recline alllll the way back...like you're completley laying down
Suffers from minimal technical staff onsite, minimal maintenance and upkeep; on our visit the entire complex suffered from a lightning strike which disabled computer projection system - refunds provided to many
Easy parking, free affinity program, reasonably priced tickets
The quality of this theater has improved. This location features lounge seats and reserved seating for all patrons.
This theater is great. Took the kids to see the Grinch. All three of us loved the seats. Food prices were good for a theater and the bathrooms were easily accessible, a definite plus when with kids. The ability to pick seats made it easy and fun.
Great local theater with reserved seating and reclining, comfy seats. As with almost every theater the snacks seem a little overpriced.
Recliner seats! Make sure to purchase tickets in advance so you get a good spot. You can pick your seat once you buy a ticket
Smaller theater, comfortable seats and good surround sound
The lobby feels cheap, but movie selection is good and the theaters are okay. Never had a bass experience yet.
I enjoyed going there until I saw a mice in one of the theater rooms. It was nasty and disgusting. I never went back since then. I do not plan going back anytime soon either. I hope they get this situation under control, or people will have a mouse eating their popcorn with them.
So I went to the Towne Center theater with my wife to watch Pitch Perfect 2. The first thing I thought when I saw that it was at the Towne Center and not at the Rave 14 Fairfax Corner theater was, "God....it's at the crappy theater." ...because that's what I used to refer to the Towne Center theater as - boy was I in for a surprise. When we purchased the tickets we had to pick our seats from a screen behind the glass at the front. I was thinking, "Why the hell are they making us choose seats??? Why don't I just go in as usual and pick the seats I want!???" This initially made me even more upset at the "crappy theater" - boy was I in for a surprise. After grabbing the usually popcorn and Icee, I went into the theater to get my seat and was wow'ed to see awesome leather reclining seats with hard wood floors and PLENTY of space between the next set of people - no more sharing or fighting for arm rests people! These seats are the main attraction here, I'm now finding reasons to go there for any movie. If the movie sucks, I'll just fully recline and pass out - they're that awesome. Also, the bathrooms were surprisingly clean from the last I went a year ago or so. I still wish the lobby area and food concessions were renovated and looked nicer but, oh well. I hope Towne Center starts winning the bids or whatever on good movies so I can go to this theater from now. Great job Regal! I think this will definitely turn around the reputation this theater had in the past.
The reclining leather seats and reserved seating are an added bonus to this theater.
Kinda older looking. The chairs were nice and comfortable
