Rude, not knowledgeable, rude, not helpful, did I mention rude. I'll drive to Betty's Fabric in SLO, over an hour away from where live. Sorry, it wouldn't matter if you were the last fabric store on the planet.

Cute little fabric store with custom fabrics. Super nice staff. Pricey but that's what I'm finding with these custom shops. Quality appears good. Spent $100 and got $10 off, which was terrific. Can't wait to see how the pieces I got sew up.

Great place if you are looking for quilting supplies--not so great for sewists focused on apparel, though, as the fabric selection is pretty much limited to those (fine) cottons suitable for quilting. Likewise, notions are targeted toward quilting, with limited selections of zippers (no invisible ones, when I was there) and thread types. Everything is of excellent quality however, and the staff is very pleasant and helpful. Come here if you have a quilting project, but apparel makers will be more satisfied with Beverly's in San Luis Obispo.
I really loved this quilt shop they were very friendly and warm and welcoming they even cut fabrics for me that weren't even priced yet one of the gals asked me what colors I was into and designers and proceeded to tell me about a few more that fit the bill I would recommend this place to anyone
I am an online shopper only. I have only had GREAT experiences shopping here. The one time I had a small problem, (I got a notice my desired fabric was back in stock when it wasn't) the owner quickly responded and made up for it. Friendly. Great selection. Love the sales!!

I am been shopping Fabricworm online for a number of years and have never had a problems with the quality of the fabric or shipping experiences. If there is an issue with an issues with an order they email or call me immediately which I certainly appreciate. Fabricworm is one of my favorite fabric stores, just hope some day to be able to visit the actual store.
Lovely store with a range of beautiful fabrics. The staff are extremely helpful, they even waited whilst I browsed after the shop was closed.
I love this shop! I am a local in Paso Robles. I've shopped here for about 3 years now and their fabrics are unique. Some fabrics are very pricey. I would ask the prices of each constantly and someone is normally there to help answer your questions. Be careful and make sure you remember where you found the fabric, how much it is and watch it at check out, because it can be easily mistaken for a different price at check out. Just watch your purchase carefully to get the quoted price you watched for.
I've had good experiences here and one or two bad experiences. The bad was when there were 3 workers and probably 3 groups of customers in the store, at this time, I needed my selected fabric to be cut and I did not get an acknowledgement or a "I'll be with you in a few," I got very irritated, but stuck it out ( I know sometimes it's the customers they are waiting on that cause delay ), but this irritation could have been avoided with just an acknowledgment. When I was finally helped, the workers are always super nice and sweet. I hope that the store reads some of these reviews and take note in some of the customers would like better customer service.
My experiences here are mainly great! Online sales are at good prices, discounts are available, sales and store pick up options. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, always nice. I would like to see improvement on store customer etiquette as well. I realize how busy an online business must be, however, a customer in front of you should be just as important. Overall, fabrics are cute and rare for the area we live in and are worth checking it out if you have a special project coming up!
I love Birch! Always great finds and great selection. Also always little sales or discounted something in there.
I ordered online from birch fabrics store fabricworm and had an AWFUL experience! My order was not only lost (waited nearly 2 months) but was unable to find anyone at the store to even help me try to figure out where my order was. For the over priced cost of the fabrics you would then the service could be fantastic but that was far from the case. I won't be ordering from them ever again. From what I have read on here it doesn't sound like the in person shopping experience is that much smoother. Maybe this lady should focus more on the customers.
Although known as a internet store, Birch has grown into a wonderful fabric shop. Love walking into the store!Staff are friendly, the store has a bright airy atmosphere. Diverse fabrics of 100% organic cotton, canvas , double gauze, voile, and of course pre cuts , and a great selection of the major quilting manufacturers we all have grown to love. They offer clothing patterns as well.
Some embroidery , notions. You never know what you will find at each visit. They now have wonderful patterns for art quilts check them out. Great newsletter with lots of stuff happening. Stop by and check it out!
