A lot of fun driving go karts around a track. Price is a little high, but was a lot of fun. Recommend buying their groupons when available a few days in advance to get a discount.

Invited my friends to celebrate my birthday. 16 people total. We were having fun racing and most of us paid for tree races. At the end of the second race. The manager there starts yelling at my friend. Accusing him of racing when the cation flag was out. Turns out that my friend was not the person that was racing during the caution flag, but that didn't change his attitude at all. Instead he became worst. It's been 1.5yrs and I'm still pissed. Never going back.

The experience was horrible. It was my first and last time going to this place. Go Karts would go full speed and then ram right into you giving you whip lash, and on top of that they DID NOT provide a NECK BRACE. Horrible experience.

Hard to make reservations in advance and the pricing isn't exactly clear. Tracks are great, the restaurant is decent and overall a good time.

I was a little concerned after reading mixed reviews but our group had a great time!
We reserved the track for half an hour with a group of 12. Got to do 4 races in that time.
I guess the suits had been pretty recently updated as they were in decent shape. It's over your clothes but they're worn frequently by people with adrenaline amped up so expect them to smell a little sweaty!
While this isn't bumper cars, accidents are pretty common and friends got a little bruised and battered. Also takes a bit of effort to steer.
One thing to note if you have asthma bring your inhaler to the track. One friend was struggling with the fumes a bit but he also won so not that bad :)
I really understand their no alcohol tolerance, again this isn't bumper cars and does have real risk. Also doing this with a hangover is not recommend! I was pretty after between the fumes and going around in circles, but that bit's my fault!
Staff we dealt with were in good spirits and very nice. If you're making a group reservation figure out what you want to do, reception was nice but didn't have all the info (not exactly a career job ya know?)
They only do reservations 2 days ahead but we had no problem getting the time we wanted.

If you re serious about racing X1 is not the place. The karts are beat up badly and are very inconsistent. Most of the karts wouldn t even start. Track staff is unenthusiastic. Bar and billiards are good. Could be an awesome place with a new set of karts or some focus on consistency. Foxwoods and On track will get my business from here on. Too bad. Used to be a great place to race. Don t see it lasting much longer

Excellent facility! The folks there are friendly and helpful as well as concerned for safety. They want everyone to have fun but not get hurt. The carts are awesome and the tracks are fun! I fully recommend this!

This place is a joke. I just went for a corprate event and was SORELY disappointed. First off, I've been racing real cars (track and autocross) for about 10 years now and thought maybe this might become a cheaper alternative, but it turns out there is reason kart racing is for kids that can't yet drive real cars and a joke for anyone that's been in a real race. My biggest complaint is the staff, who like to act like hot shots and like those of paying aren't worth their trouble. While a bunch of grown wannabe racers being rude is not really a deal breaker, the course "refs" are. Even though these karts have bumpers all the way around them, and the walls are well padded, no contact is permitted. Ok, that is a joke in and of itself, cause I've made contact in races driving MY OWN car. It happens, it's racing. But not in kart "racing". Except, sometimes. What does that mean you ask? Well, the "refs" calls are so arbatrary and subjective, what didn't get you a penalty in one lap is grounds for "penalty lane" in the next. The guy in front of you bumps someone passing, then you pull the same move, and pulled off the track. In fact, you don't even have touch another car to get a penalty. That's right, I've been called into the penalty box after 3 laps with not a person near me. When I asked what I did, they could only say I "made contact". They couldn't tell me when, or where, or even that it was actually my kart, but it was "the right call". Pretty hard to say that if you don't know what the call was. Also, I don't know what my company paid for this outing, but looking at the prices for a 10-15 lap race, you pay $30. That's maybe 4-5 mins of racing if your fast, but since you get called off the track once the fastest person finishes their laps, the slower folks won't get any more time. I'd call that a big waste of money.
Overall, this place is a joke if you really want to race. If you just want to drive around in circles and NOT be competetive at all, and you have a lot of money to waste, check it out, you will probably still be disappointed.

I've been going here for a couple of years now. I really enjoy the challenge that it provides. I also really enjoy the Ascari Cafe that they have there; the food is on the fancy side but the food prices are reasonable. The racing, I agree, is quite expensive, but well worth it.
UPDATE: Its now called X1 Boston, because the owners of Formula 1 threatened a lawsuit over the name "F1". It's still the same place, just now with a revamped scoring system.

Amazing place, karts are well maintained, track is really fun, just make sure you bring your own helmet if you have one, the gear they loan out is not all that great, also the track area could be ventilated a little better I found myself getting a bit sick most likely from the emissions of the karts.

This is great fun! They can be a little inflexible on packages and sometimes you have to share the track with some folks that think they're Mario Andretti but it's a blast either way.

I had a group of 15 to celebrate a fiends birthday, I went through the event booking team and decided 45 mins private track time for $1350 was not going to work for me becuase I wanted the group to take occasional breaks. I choose the arrive and drive more expensive offer for 4 races each driver. If you do the math that's 4 race x 15 drivers=60 total and 5 race time slots x 12 driver max capacity for the large indoor track is 60 total. Long story short we would rotate drivers and everyone would get their 4 races and have a break. I scheduled for 3, 3:20, 3:40,3:50 and 4:10. The added twist which I wasn't ready for but was easily absorb, one person must have an annual pass to book for weekends(Saturday) extra $15. Done. The track manager proceeded to tell me, I had two options, take the 45 min track time which was cheaper but no breaks or I get no races. His reasoning was the General Manager said so! I continued to advise him that I was traveling from CT and a 45 min event in Boston was not worth the 2 hour drive. I of course requested to speak with the GM who apparently was listening to the last 21 mins of our 1 hour conversation and didn't want me to waste any further of her time (I am an engineer, I am sure my time is worth more than both of them combined, and if not certainly more then the GM). She listened to reason and made the reservations exactly as originally requested becuase I was breaking no rules. On the day of the event extremely rude front staff! Ruined the $1, 515 birthday surprise. The team did require breaks and 4 members couldn't complete their 4 race package because they where tired and hot. Good call on the breaks, kudos to myself, haha. The race instructors where great, having 15 mostly guys racing drew yellow flags at every turn and warnings for practically everyone on the course but we had our fun and no ejections. On a sunny Saturday, there was maybe 5 other racers for the whole time we were there, that in itself is a sign of bad mangement. If you can put up with the front desk to have some fun on the track, this is your venue. Top speed 40.38 mph. Beat that.
