Great place to interact with and learn new things. Very family friendly and has a variety of exhibits. The exhibits themselves are interesting and fun. All exhibits except for the Marvel ($8) one are free. Definitely a place to visit.

Even if you don't enjoy pop culture, it is hard not to have a great time and learning experience here. Great collection of famous guitars (i.e. Eric Clapton's "Brownie"), costumes from movies and TV ("Cowardly Lion from Oz and Mork's suit), temporary exhibits on Prince, Hendrix and Pearl Jam, all housed in a wonderful Gehry building - with fabulous A/V facilities. Would have stayed much longer than two hours, but our parking in the adjacent pay lot was running out.

The Museum of Pop Culture is awesome! All of the exhibits are really cool and interesting. Definitely worth the price of the entrance fee and a few hours of your time. Had a blast making my way through the music section playing with all of the instruments and DJ equipment. For those of you who are fans of TV shows and movies from the 90s, there are plenty of exhibits with props, costumes, and tid bits of information to emerse yourself in. If you are in Seattle with some extra time on your hands, I highly recommend checking this place out.

I LOVE this amazing place because it never fails to capture my attention for hours. You will see why people come from all over the world to be a part of this magical tribute to the artist, the creative genius that we all share as humans. Get inspired, get fired up about possibilities, get MOPOP.

Confusing layout. The building is more interesting on the outside than any of the stuff inside esp if you aren't a fan of Seattle music history (Jimi Hendrix, Pearl Jam, or Nirvana). Otherwise it's a random collection of American pop culture memorabilia.

My experience in this museum was definitely not worth the time or money I spent on it. It is harbored in a fantastic looking building but the best part is on the outside that you can view for free. I did get some enjoyment in the sci. Fi section but not enough to warrant the admission price.

I didn't expect much going into this place, but I was pleasantly surprised by all the different types of exhibits. I loved the JBL music exhibit on the top floor! A must see/do for any type of (budding) musician!
The gigantic screen as you first walk in is mesmerizing! Since this place is so massive, with such a diverse range of exhibits, I strongly suggest at least 2.5 hours. Luckily once you pay u can leave and come back in throughout the day. The museum is located in the Seattle World's Fair campus, making the area a great ALL DAY destination. The Seattle Space Needle and the Chihuly Garden and Glass are two other "MUST SEE" places on the campus.

This museum is most appropriate for teens thru adults who have an appreciation for pop culture and entertainment, their creative influences and evolution, and the associated physical artifacts. It's a great place; more a museum, less an interactive experience.

MoPoP is a museum unlike any other museum you've been to. It's modern, snazzy, and decorated in amazing exhibit halls that double up as incredible set pieces. From fantasy to David Bowie to Sci fi to horror, all the popular tropes are there. The problem is that the actual content felt shallow. It's common to see a costume or movie prop surrounded in amazing decorative set design - it's an amazing walk up to the item, but honestly how long are you going to admire a single movie prop. Ironically, just like a Hollywood movie, the museum feels big budget effects covering for a weak story. It's worth going once but there won't be any repeat viewings in my future.

Surprisingly fun! Didn't plan on coming here but stumbled in and got to anyway. Great combo of information and entertainment, from movies and text to games and instruments to play. Loved the sci fi area, the sound room and the indie game room in particular. Looking forward to coming back when the Marvel area is open

Okay... I'm partial to this place because I'm literally in it. I live in the basement with the zombies. The whole of mopop-the huge building with hours of exhibits, sky church, some of the most significant collectible items of all time... That's great.
But it ain't the basement. That's where I live. With the zombies and the ghouls, next door to the bleepy bloopy robots of the scifi room.
But I'm safe here .
Come see me. You look delicious.

Definitely an improvement over the original EMP. Takes about a half-day to see in all, maybe more if you have kids. It was packed! I really loved seeing all the movie props and the original Nirvana memorabilia. You can spend forever watching music videos on the giant TV - saw Melanie Martinez and Big Bang, pretty wide range.

The fact that I hate museums but love this place tells a lot about it. I usually get bored quickly, but this place is different. If you're a nerd like me... you have to go here. Just a couple examples of the stuff they have: The actual weapons used by Frodo, Gandalf, Aragorn, etc. from Lord of the Rings. Ironman's suits that were used in the all the Ironman movies. A floor dedicated to horror movies. Nirvana exhibit. What more could you want?

Great experience, and something everyone who confess into Seattle for a visit should find the time to do. Some rotating exhibits, and some that are permanent fixtures. For anyone that is a musician or a music buff, there's a great exhibit about the history of the modern guitar, as well as a great Jimi Hendrix exhibit, and an area upstairs where people can explore using different types of instruments. A great easy to spends some time learning about history of pop culture.

If you are in Seattle, this is definitely the place you need to visit. It is ridiculous just how big this place is, my wife and I walked around for almost 4 hours, and ended up having to leave before experiencing everything because they were closing. Give yourself at least half a day to explore this place, because it is well worth your time and money. Lived the marvel exhibit, and seeing all the different heroes come to life in full sized displays. Simply put, it was an amazing experience, that almost a year later, I'm still talking about.

Amazing with so many exhibits ! Went just to see the artists, did not expect to see the Ghost Stories and the Fantasy Fiction exhibits - those just made my day, reliving some fan moments with the LOTR and Harry Potter exhibits.
