Music, Sci-fi, Fantasy, Video games
Had a great time with the interactive music rooms (long lines), video game exhibit (long lines), and enjoyed seeing the nirvana, sci-fi, fantasy, history of music exhibits. Disappointed that a main attraction like On Stage was not open on weekdays even though the museum admission price is the same.

A must see if you in town. We happen to be in town while the marvel exhibit was there so that was a bonus. Besides that they have a lot of other exhibits that are worth it such as the sci-fi, fantasy and many others.

I would say it's an okay museum. 30$ is a bit much for a museum and the expos arent phenomenal. The 3rd floor was the best for me since you get to learn how to play some instruments or jam if you already know how.
The indie gaming section is actually pretty cool too but it's a bit intimidating to be the only adult playing among very small kids

Visited on a rainy Saturday midday to 3:30pm with family (young kids to 80 year old). Wasn't too crowded so we were able to enjoy the exhibits, read the placards, have time with the hands on activities. There is a great variety of collections and exhibits; should be something for everyone to enjoy, but the younger and older members didn't enjoy it as much as the 20 to 50 year olds. Pretty amazing collection of original props, costumes, visual & video displays, and other items from a huge variety of movies, TV and music history.

The museum is neat. They have 11 exhibits. It is interactive. Very different feel and vibe from most museums. Very open and each exhibit is separated. They have plenty of spots to sit and enjoy the displays. I particularly enjoyed the science fiction area. Referenced the history of it and how it shaped the movie industry. The only thing I would like to see is longer hours.

If you're a local who's never been, I would highly recommend spending the better part of an afternoon here and If you're simply visiting this grand city then this is a must see! They have something to interest everyone here, every film genre is covered with Star Trek having it's own floor! As well as a music studio where you and friends can learn to play an electric guitar, drums, and piano and share a private studio to record a track! It's a very interactive museum, with many floors to explore and get lost in! My sisters and I had a great time here!

I liked the traveling exhibit, we saw the Marvel exhibit. Was disappointed they had to down size the Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain exhibits and didn't have the Star Trek at all. The sci-fi exhibit was my personal favorite.

The best museum I have ever been to. I could have spent days in here. The Nirvana exhibition is unmissable and I highly recommend the guided tour for insights into the band and the exhibition. The sci-fi exhibit a are awesome. Kids of all ages (even adults) can't help but have fun in the music studios. I can't recommend it enough.

Beautiful location with interactive exhibits in a wonderful location. Close to many other attractions that are must sees in the Seattle area, easily walkable and well worth the price. Make sure to check for discounts that you can find online.

I loved it! I can't believe I got to see Kurt's guitars and costumes/ props from classic movies! This place is very cool with a lot of activities to explore! It's very magical and fun. You learn a lot about the history of some "Seattle music" as well as sitting down to relax and watch music videos on a huge flat screen

Oh my, we had such a blast at Mopop... We paid for other things to do at and around the Seattle Center but spent the majority of the day at the museum and called it good. Such a vast majority of iconic Pop Culture history and displays. Something for all ages to enjoy. A must see...

Omg! Cant say enough about this! Soooo worth the money and time! Spent several hours and could have spent more!!! This place is amazing!!! The artifacts they have are so cool.was sad we missed the star trek exhibit, but the others were pretty awesome!

Excellent exhibits but the ticketing system needs revamping. Alaska Airlines does a much better job of getting millions of people off the ground every day. Check their system. And, on busy days you need more and/or faster staff. The lines for lunch were unnecessary. Otherwise it was great.

This place was amazing. Right by the space needle. The kids will enjoy the gaming Room and the adults will appreciate the music and the Guitar collection. See the original wicked witch hat from the wizard of oz. Read a letter from the editor regarding game of thrones. See harry potter memorabilia. Will visit again.

I think the museum spreads itself a bit thin as it tries to encompass all 'popular culture'. That said, if it has a special exhibit you are interested in, those may seem far more interesting than the permanents.

Fun.

Fun.
Pay to park.
Interesting and informative museum.
Iconic Seattle landmark next to the Space Needle and the Mono-rail.
Check it out.
Live shows sometimes.
Saw Supersuckers play here before.

Great museum with lots to see. I love the wonderful legacy that the late Paul Allen of Microsoft left for the people of Washington State to enjoy. I hope that Seattle can continue having more cultural places to visit in the future as the city continues it's growth and evolution.

If you're into one of the genres (fantasy, space, horror, video games, older bands, etc.), it might have been interesting for you. As it was, none of the rooms really pulled me in. I did, however, give it two stars because the Holodome on the top level was awesome. We did the Seahawks video because my husband is a big fan, and it was well worth the extra $5/person we paid.
