What an amazing place. We spent more time here then then anyplace else!
What an amazing place. We spent more time here then then anyplace else!
Soundlab id great, the rest is interesting but not as incredible as it is advertised.
Amazing museum with lots to see and do. Well worth the $30 entry fee!
Definitely exceeded expectations. The entire museum will probably not appeal to everyone unless you're a serious culture nerd, but everyone will likely find something fascinating and learn a thing or two.
This was honestly my favorite place we visited on my first trip to Seattle. Marvel exhibit was awesome!
This was on our must-see list for Seattle. We though it was very well presented - the exhibits are great, and each area has been decorated in that theme, with little diversions for children. The Fantasy exhibit looks like a fairytale forest and housed items from Lord of the Rings, The Princess Bride and Wizard of Oz, among others.
Went to the museum to see the Star Trek exhibit . Bought the CityPass , but when I got in the museum I had to pay extra. That part sucked. The Star Trek display was just OK. Lineup for the transporter simulator on the too floor was too long so we skipped it. Indie game area was basically a Nintendo room. Fantasy and horror rooms were OK. All in all I would not go to Seattle just for the EMP, but will visit it on a deal in a package.
Reveal: Northwest Innovation in Fashion show was incredible. We sponsored this event. Hosted by Ryan Muller & Active Entertainment. A great venue that offers an incredible history of music. If you're not a local I highly recommend coming here for a great experience.
This museum is full of pop culture stuff! (Since it's in the name of course it is) It's really amazing to see some authentic stuff that are even signed by some actors too. If you like pop culture or know someone that always reference something from pop culture, go here. You won't be disappointed
The architectural beauty of the city cannot be ignored without underestimating the art within it.
Aside from looking really cool from the outside, the inside is the perfect place to expose your inner geek. Horror, Sci - Fi, Fantasy are just three of the full time exhibits. Actual movie props and costumes are on display to geek out over. We saw the Star Trek exhibit and it was so less cheesy than anticipated. Near the Space Needle, it's an absolute addition to the geek tourists day.
Lots of cool exhibits. Pearl Jam section was well done.
This was fun, went to see star trek exhibit, but it was on tour so bummed we didn't get to see it. Might have to go back again just for that. But there is so much more to see.
The exhibits besides Marvel seem worn out, there is a lack of signage for many of the displays in the sci-fi, fantasy and horro section. There is also a lack of continuity in these sections, it's just see stuff on display, but lacks organization. The museum seems too expensive to me, for what you get. I the the sound lab is the best part, because it is the most interactive.
It was full of information, nice set up and entertaining
You must do this if you go to Seattle. Pick the galleries you're most interested in to start, because you will get tired as you go and you won't be able to see everything.
Great exhibits! This was actually fun for my entire family.
Very cool experience and the staff is very friendly, highly suggest the fantasy exhibit
How amazing to see so many things from my favorite sci-fi and fantasy worlds! Totally worth even a quick 1.5 hour visit!
The exhibits were great! The service was a little unfriendly. Overall, there was a good mix for everyone in the family, all ages.
I have to check out the MoPop every time I'm in Seattle! The exhibitions are always fantastic. I especially liked the one about video games and the horror movie one! A must-see if you like movies, TV shows and other popular media
Good, fun, interactive, it wasnt a typical museum experience, it was more entertaining but also more indulgent, you know? Kind of like a guilty pleasure museum.
A bit pricy - $33 per adult. It makes it a pretty easy decision to upgrade to the $79-two-person-12-month-pass since your single-day tickets count towards the 12-month membership.
Not worth it if you just want to pop in and our. Plan to spend a few hours here.
Friendly staff, clean.
Current exhibits: Star Trek, Jim Henson, sci fi, video games, guitars, Jimi Hendrix, Seahawks, fantasy, horror, and a place to get hands-on with musical instruments
Had a great time. The most popular area of the place was the sound room. Had a hard time moving on from that!
Go to the Sky Church for shows. Stay to see Paul Allen's excellent collection of memorabilia. If you get a chance say hi to Chris outside.
So cool! The horror section was great, and everything else was well done. The sound lab is also very interesting as well, and is definitely hilarious when with the family. The Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Jimi Hendrix, and Prince exhibits were all great to see as well. The less than desired room in my opinion was the "Fashion Queens" section, as it was very short and boring. The fantasy section was pretty cool too. If you are a tourist, you should definitely check this out for the enjoyment! Was a very interesting place. Also, the Idle Gaming was very lame too, and was not interesting.
Killer museum! They really have an exhibit for EVERYBODY!
Good place to visit. Be sure to get a city pass if you want to visit here and many other places for a decent price.
Beautiful location and building. I always have a blast when I go there. I love the current Prince and Nirvana exhibits. The coffee and food selection in the cafe is pretty good as well. Definitely worth checking out
Fantastic interactive museum! I was told some of the exhibits were temporary, but they were so detailed and well thought out that they looked permanent. Would definitely recommend.
Definitely worth spending some time at when in Seattle.
We actually loved this place so much more than we expected! Definitely recommend getting the city pass!
I'm not entirely sure what I just paid for. Not worth it.
I was slightly underwhelmed by this experience. The space is very large and modern but the exhibits barely fill up the galleries they are in; at least when I was there the spaces felt somewhat empty in some cases. That said, the exhibits did have some cool cultural reference points from my youth onwards for music, shows and movies.
We visit at least once a year. Each time we go back they have added something new. So far we have seen Star Wars and Marvel exhibit. Both are so great.
We went for the free museum day and had a blast. Most of it was relatable and brought back good memories. Id suggest it for all ages. Something for everyone and i really mean that.
We only had 1 hour stayed for 2 and still didn't see everything this place has so much going on and with the extra hour we still didn't see everything definitely a place to come back to
Loved the rock exhibits but the price was steep for what it offered. Great for 10yo kids.
Great place, beautiful displays and informative videos
I honestly didn't think I would have as much fun as I did here. It was a really fun experience. Really big museum, still didn't finish going through all the exhibits. I would recommend an entire day to really enjoy the museum.
If you love music and film and all things pop culture this is a must see!
This place is amazing is so way cool, this place is the best place to see a concert show. All the cool stuff in there to look at, the guitar chandelier there so much to see. This building is like no other it's one of a kind. It's a big part of Seattle. This is a fun place to visit. I love it here. I have seen some very cool shows here. I took a video here of Paul Allen playing guitar. It was a cool night Thank You Mo Pop & Paul Allen

This place is absolutely wonderful, this place is the best place to watch a concert. All the wonderful things are there to look at, and the guitar chandelier is a lot to see. This building is unparalleled, it is a unique building. It's a big part of Seattle. This is a fun place to visit. I love it here. I have seen some great performances here. I picked up a video here for guitarist Paul Allen. It was a great night thank you Mo Mo & Paul Allen
This is an interesting museum dedicated to pop culture. I liked the sound room on the top floor and the horror exhibits the best. I think it's a bit expensive particularly because after paying almost $30 they want another $5 to see the Jim Henson exhibit.
By far my favorite museum to visit. I love that they change out so many exhibits!!
We spent about 20 minutes in the museum . Absolutely nothing there that we were interested in seeing. Waste of $50. In contrast we really injoyed the Museum of History and Industry.
Fun Museum with a variety of fun events..recommend going to a event to get discounted access to a limited number of exhibts
Fun exhibits. Enjoyed the insight provided into various genres such as Sci Fi, fantasy, horror, etc.
Every time that I visit Seattle, I check out what they have going on.
Fantastic playground for adults. Learn the drums, play the guitar, film yourself doing a rock video in "Macklemore" coats ... could have spent much longer there.
Do not miss this place!!! Nirvana, Prince and Minecraft exhibits were awesome!
This is a great museum. Basically a bunch of props and exhibits from different movies and shows.
Kind of expensive for what it offers, but well-designed rooms and ambiance make it enjoyable
It was a great experience!!! Unusual museum with a beautiful sound lab. Really enjoyed! Little pricey though
The instrument learning area upstairs was really neat. The time my kid and I spent there will long be remembered. The sci-fi collections are also really neat and we're a hot with the whole (nerdy) family. The play area outside the museum is also really cool.
The horror section was awesome!! I would go back to visit that section again. Multiple guitars, drums, keyboards and booths where you can jam and sing privately.
If you can, check out the Star Trek exhibit before it's gone.
It was truly amazing I wasn't disappointed about anything and even tho the Muppets exhibit was extra you can still see some of it, the park was fun for children and adults. The horror exhibit was definitely my favorite part and Syfy
It was neat, but really not a lot to see. There was some pretty cool stuff, just not a whole lot of it.
Very interesting places to visit. There are mountains of musical instruments waiting for anyone to experience. Other exhibit might change, but the sound lab is worth a visit for everyone.
