My daughter went here due to being in labor and although she was having contractions and dilated 2cm I can understand them sending her home but when your blood pressure is 163 over 88 thats another storey. They wanted to just shove a vicodin down her throat and get her out of there as fast as they could. Im sure had she not been on medicaid this would have been a diffrent situation. Shame on this hospital and their staff for treating people this was. The medical board will be notified.

Introduction is a 5. Everyone is caring, kind and professional. They even give a time estimate of how long we can expect to be here. After the promised time has passed, very little/no communication about the status of a discharge currently 2.5 hours over the promised time and the only discussion is when we initiate them. Always met with a very pleasant sorry, we just don t know. 5 stars for medical capabilities, 1 star for running an organization and managing expectations.

I don't want to even put a star! I have been in the ER for over 3 hours. I came by ambulance.... I STILL have the blood samples from the ambulance. I have only seen my doctor and my nurse TWICE and they still have not done the one thing I asked for turn the light down! I can't get up too many machines and I'm a fall risk! So seriously!?! I HATE THIS HOSPITAL!

Unfortunately, I've had a lot of experience here, but all very positive. Uniformly patient and concerned staff from multiple visits to both ER and out-patient procedures. If I have to go to a hospital, this is my clear choice.

I was brought in from another facility at Luthran. I was very sick and under the care of another luthran physician who was not available. They were aware that I had pneumonia but DIDN'T BOTHER TO TRY TO FIGURE OUT WHY I WAS SO SICK! Instead I was treated poorly and discharged with drug seeking behavior? How is that possible? Jerk! I was given pain meds by a luthran Dr and already had them in my system i could just take more once I left the ER. Why would I be seeking them? I had to go to St. Anthony's some days later and was diagnosed with sarcoidosis, thrombocytopenia, dangerously low potassium and other issues. If u want your ER Dr. To care about go to St. Anthony's they r so nice and thorough. Luthran does have great nurses and main hospital physicians just avoid the ER. Ive had other issues w/their ER but never been treated like a drug addict seeking drugs. Im 50yr woman who doesn't even drink muchless abuse drugs. I am appalled and disappointed in the care.

Had to go to the ER last night for bleeding at 16 weeks pregnant with twins. The waiting room was empty at 6pm so after 5 minutes of checking in we were taken to a room. Everyone was very friendly and said hello when we came in.

A few minutes later the security guard comes back to our room and brings my husband's phone which he'd forgotten at check in.

My nurse and the doctor were in with 15 minutes to get me set up with all the various samples they need. About an hour later we went for an ultrasound. In this time we were checked on every 20 minutes or so to make sure we had everything we needed.

The ultrasound tech was very nice and funny. He took good care of us and made sure to show us all the 2 little heartbeats before the rest of the exam.

The ultrasound results took about an hour to be read by the radiologist. In that time I was given saltines by my nurse for my heartburn and she brought me pills and a magnesium IV for my low level.

The doctor came in after the ultrasound results and reassured me and said once my IV was finished I could go home.

Now, no one loves going to the ER but this was the very best experience I've ever had in an emergency room. Everyone was so friendly and happy to answer questions. They gave my 4.5 year old a blanket when he got cold and even sent it home with us. I am scheduled to have my twins there and I really hope that everyone in L&D is as great at everyone at the ER last night.

Thank you!

There are a lot of miscommunications between the ED , being admitted and between the staff and physicians. I did appreciate my nurses hands down. They were my only saving grace while feeling I was just being pushed to the side. I ve been in frequently and won t be coming back again.

This hospital has been trash since day one with very few bright spots. The nursing staff are very passive aggressive, they like to argue with patients and then come back and apologize when they are proven wrong. There have been two nurses out of around 7 that have been great. The doctors like to just guess at what is wrong. When they release a patient they played guessing games with and then the patient ends up in the hospital again and just play more guessing games. They should be responsible for all medical bills after the initial visit because this should have been resolved the first time. Period.

Although the care I received at Lutheran Medical in Wheat ridge CO, was ok, dealing with their billing department has been a complete nightmare. I have requested itemized billing on 3 different occasions. Every time I ask, they say they will mail and never do. Even though I am making timely payments on this account despite not receiving what I have asked for, they continue to call me over and over again. I have requested they don't call my cell phone and they still do. This organization is a joke.

I went there for a visit that lasted less than 2 hours when I thought I had cracked my skull with a head injury. Turns out it was just a bad concussion. I had good experience there because I was seen by an attentive ER personnel and dr and I was one of the only people there. However, since then I have been given every excuse never to return, and I will tell as many people as I can never to go there if they have any choice in the matter. It is the closest hospital to me, but I will travel the extra distance with a head injury and physical shock rather than go back there again. They processed my insurance incorrectly (partially my fault, I was suffering from vertigo and explained to them I couldn't think straight), then when I challenged the billing because my insurance company told me it wasn't specific enough, they couldn't "itemize" my nearly $10,000 emergency room bill with any specificity - meaning line items were still several thousand dollars large - far too aggregated for my insurance company to get the information they needed to process the claim and cover any of it. I spoke with people in billing numerous times, I explained the situation to a patient advocate, I spoke with billing again because I never heard back from the patient advocate... They all told me they would f/u, nobody ever did. Then they started telling me they were going to send the bill to collections and one particularly charming "customer service" rep treated me like I was a criminal for trying to get appropriate backup to justify costs that my insurance company had already called "extraordinarily high". As a patient, I have a right to know how my $10K bill got to be $10K, especially when my insurance company is saying that the bill is unusually high for the services provided. This of course does not count the emergency room physicians, or the radiologists, or the CT scan, all of which were billed separately from the $10K bill. Because of their refusal to provide more detail, I am forced to pay the entire bill out of pocket even though I am insured. I think this place is the absolute worst.

Please for the love of God. Do NOT go to Luther for any life threatening problems. They have missed so many of my health concerns, that I legitimately had to yell at them to dip deeper to find the problem. The fact that they missed 3 blood clots. 2 in my neck and one on my leg... they do not know what they are doing.

Over the past couple of years we have had the misf...

Over the past couple of years we have had the misfortune of using Lutheran Medical Center with horrific results. The ER doctors are so arrogant they cannot see past their self-importance to actually provide any decent level of care. Come out of break rooms laughing and eating while the patient is waiting for pain meds and try to explain that "emergencies" are the reason the doctor forgot to input the request. On another occasion, the ER doctor refused to allow the nurse to take a blood test which would have proven the doctor's "assumptions" wrong. The nurse was stunned. The ER doctors have completely lost sight of the "do no harm" creed. Most recently, I needed to have a procedure and requested an estimate to know what my out-of-pocket costs would be so I could compare with other providers. I was actually told by a supervisor and the underling before her that my doctor did the billing for Lutheran Hospital and therefore, they could not provide an estimate. Then they said I needed to call my insurance company, which I already had done and was advised it depended on how Lutheran billed the service. This supervisor actually asked me if understood the meaning of phrases - so incredibly egotistical and full of self importance. All personnel refuse to give me information for the executives so that I can let them know how patients are being treated. Apparently, they assume I am so stupid I can't spend the time to locate the information online and through the state commissions. With that said, there have been some nurses and lab technicians that are wonderful. It is pathetic and sad that the doctors and administrative support staff are so awful. God help you if this is the only medical facility you have available because you'd be better off not even seeking any medical care from this facility. I know I will seek out services from every and any other facility - I am done with Lutheran.

I took a friend in for surgery on 7/3/19. The people who checked her in were very nice & helpful as well as the nurse who gave me updates. Now after her surgery we got the bums rush. I was told that the surgery went well and was done approximately an hour early (Good news) although my friend was having a hard time coming out of the anesthesia. When I was taken back to see her the nurse told me that her numbers were good and I should go get my car and they would bring her out. What I saw when I got back there was my friend shaking, she couldn't hardly communicate - she was NOT ready to be released, she was barely out of anesthesia and her pain was definitely NOT under control. I could tell this just by looking at her and told the nurse this; she (the nurse) once again told me to go get my car, my friends numbers were good. They couldn't seem to get us out of there fast enough. Once we got on the road my friend started throwing up and asked me to get her home and hopefully she would feel better - And she didn't want to go back to Lutheran's after the way they treated her. She basically threw up for the next couple of hours. We ended up in the Swedish ER a couple of hours later where someone actually took the time to stop, look, listen and got the nausea under control, hydrated her, and got her pain under control. I can honestly tell you I will never go there myself & everyone I know will be fully aware of how the OR staff treats their patients. These patients (all patients) are people, vulnerable people, who are placing their lives in Lutheran's hands and deserve to be treated with compassion and respect.

We were there when my girlfriend was real sick . We were there for 3 days. She did not have insurance and I see some one made negative comments that if you did not have insurance they were uncaring. I found that statement to be completely inaccurate and false. There where several other people there in the same position as us and they were all treated very well. The food was very good. The rooms beautiful and very clean, but felt homely for a hospital. The staff were excellent and courteous and informative. Usually if someone has a complaint about everywhere they visit, its because the problem is them and not everyone else. Better than DG (Denver Health). Do not go there.

I tripped on some stairs and ended up landing on my back. I went to Lutheran's ER for intense back pain 2 days later. They got me right into the ER when I arrived. It turns out that fall ended up being the catalyst, because it caused a pressure fracture on discs 4 - 7 due to my job for the past 10 years (sitting on a chair in a bad posture for that amount of time). The doctors were knowledgeable but cautious (because I'm sure there are people trying to scam for drugs). Either way the nurses and doctors were polite but strict, which I appreciated because I certainly don't want to go back to the ER again. Thank you for a great experience Lutheran!

Horrible Hospital, Doctoers do not actually document what they speak about with you, if you have a problem with your records they will call you a Dilutional Veteran, the rudest staff I've ever dealt with. I've never been treated well hear and we had to go through leagal action with a Patient I'm Caretaking. Its clear it's just a Money hospital.

Beware the anesthesia charge!! We are self pay, went in for a scheduled procedure and payed in cash to the hospital. The bill included most of the costs besides our doctor who billed separately. The anesthesiologist was with us for 1 hour and 6 minutes for pre op/op/post op time. The bill from the hospital covered all the anesthetics and machines to administer and monitor. The bill we got from "Physician Anesthesia Services" was for $1,800. They offered a discount if we paid in full bringing the total to $1,350. Nice discount but when you consider this bill only paid for the anesthesiologists time of 1 hour 6 minutes, you start to scratch your head. I don't know of any profession that bills this rate for 1 person for 1 hour when the customer comes to you. I called asking for an explanation and they told us they bill by 1/4 hour increments (fine) and always round up (perfectly logical) oh and for your procedure we ADD 1 hour and 45 minutes to the total time.....(wait what??) No we won't take any of that additional time away, No you can't appeal this bill to anyone, oh and if you don't pay quickly that discount will go away and we will come after you for the full $1,800 you owe. I know Lutheran is not the culprit here....but they are the ones letting this company work at the hospital, and not offering their patients any other choices. Maybe if we had 2-3 anesthesiologists to choose from they would bid against each other driving the price into a more reasonable range. Our doctor who did the surgery had a price that included 10 pre op visits, surgery, and one post op visit for a total price of $2,475. Much more understandable.

My 83 year old Mom was hospitalized at Lutheran Hospital. Although she didn't live, I can't say enough about how caring and thorough they were with my Mom. Dr. Brown and Dr Ferguson in ICU explained everything that was going on so clearly and positively, they really did want the best outcome for her. They really helped us through the last days of her life. All of the nurses were so kind and caring, they took such great care of our Mom. Thank you all so much.

I went in for a surgery that they usually put you under for, but elected to go with a local, instead. I am an extreme needle phobe, as well. The staff who took care of me during my stay and procedure were all wonderful, compassionate, and encouraging. They made the whole experience much more bearable than it would have been had they not been so great. A special thank you, in particular to Dr. Wiebe, my surgeon, and Terry, the recovery nurse who stayed and encouraged me through the entire procedure. This is my second surgery at this hospital, and if I have to have another one same day, I will definitely do all I can to make sure it is here.

I've been trying to volunteer here for a while. So far, none of my emails or calls directly to the volunteer office have been answered, I finally called the SCL headquarters to confirm the day and time of volunteer orientation and was informed of the wrong day AND time of when the volunteer orientation was taking place. I ended up wasting $20 on an Uber to get to the orientation that wasn't even happening (I am a full time student and don't have a car). The people did not believe me that I had called ahead of time. So frustrating. Really want to be able to volunteer but not sure it's going to work. You would think a hospital would have better service for volunteers, of all people. :(

Went in to the ER. High blood pressure at 32 weeks pregnant.
They got me in a room pretty fast, all the staff was very nice and caring.
One guy who took an MRI of my head was so nice, didn't get his name, but he made me feel comfortable.
They put me up to the delivery section, the midwife there was so nice, they monitored my baby and everything was fine:)
I should be going there on the 30th to finally give birth. I know I won't regret it.
This hospital was great, staff and all and I'm sure it'll be the same once I go in to give birth;)

I Strongly recommend NOT taking a loved one to the Emergency room @ Lutheran Hospital.
2/3/20 I took my Suicidal son to this emergency room after he had taken an entire bottle of over the counter sleeping aids+drank an entire bottle of alcohol with intention of ending his life.
We where met with staff who obviously did NOT take it Seriously or seem to Care in the least...which was only Confirmed when I stepped away from his bedside briefly to retrieve a charger in order to keep other family members updated on his condition. In less than an hour,
I received a phone call informing me the SUICIDAL PATIENT under Lutheran emergency room care
(My son!!) had left the Hospital via a "Secure" exit with the IV etc. still attached to his arm!!
No shirt,
No phone,
No wallet on a Cold winter night with it Snowing.
NOT ONE person had ANY idea where my son could be!!
Even an untrained,
uneducated person in the Medical field such as myself has enough common sense to know that a SUICIDAL PATIENT has the potential to be unpredictable and irrational in that state of mind.
In which case,
'trained professionals'
you can only hope
might want to CARE or Take SERIOUSLY enough to keep a closer eye on a Patient in that condition. If Lutheran emergency department is that ILL equipt and
INCOMPETENT to cover the Basics in Mental health care
perhaps put up a WARNING Sign stating so!!
As a side note,
I was encouraged by the nurse Several times to "just go home"
"No need to stay"
giving false assurance,
it would be Fine to step away Briefly to keep the rest of my concerned family informed of my son's condition.
Apperently NOT.
Iv had Negative experience with this hospital in the past as far as their Lack of Empathy...
would Not have chosen to go there had not it been the closest to my home is the Only reason due to the fear my son didn't have much time.
Only by the Grace of God
I was able to find my son.
I can tell you now
Lutheran Hospital will be the absolute Last place I ever go for Any reason from here on out.

INCOMPETENT
and
UNCARING

LACK of EMPATHY.
p. s.
the short message left the next morning by the nurse,
who had NO idea whether I had found my son,
whether he had taken his life,
or not.
Stating she
"hoped everything was alright"
and that's it.
Only confirms further the Poor judgement,
the Poor care and concern enabled by this establishment labeled a "Health Care facility"
Shame on you
Lutheran Hospital.
Please UPGRADE your CARE for the sake of the patients who come through your door.
I will NEVER be one of them.
But especially for the Mental health community who desperately Need help.
It's a matter of Life and Death.
After all...you did take an Oath,
or did you??

Arrived with abdominal pain to the ER at 11pm, took a few hours to run all the labs. The whole thing was run by RNs, no doctor ever showed up until the surgeon came to tell me that I had appendicitis. Surgery started after 3am, in the meantime there was ZERO pain management done by the staff. Even when I finally requested some pain relief it took over an hour for the Hospital pharmacy to provide the meds. The staff only began running the labs around midnight.

Next day I got released around noon with a script for 10 Percocets, thanks guys, questionable relief for the next 30 hours. Avoid this place like a plague.

Edit and Follow up: maybe you guys could have called me since the surgery and asked about my experiences, instead I am getting robo called by your system which the has me go through a robot survey. Nice personal touch there Lutheran Medical Center.

I don't know how I feel about the ER since I've never been there- but I had an outpatient procedure done today and it was amazing. I apperently needed a high dose of propofol but that was to be expected as I process drugs very quickly.
The nurses were amazing and made me feel so comfortable. I was nervous and crying but the last thing I remember was them comforting me, and then waking up to 'you're all done'
My doctor was amazing, and I had a very pleasant experience with this hospital in the outpatient surgery area.
I generally have a hard time in ER's due to my pain and doctors not believing me. But next time I need to go to a ER I will consider coming here!

We delivered our son here. We cannot begin to express how wonderful the entire team was. All the nurses were not just friendly, but caring and concerned. They made sure to get to know you and your story, We never felt like just another patient.

We don t know where to begin or who to personally thank...Bonnie, Billie, Julie, Rachel, Suzan, Laura, Cari...we could go on! We felt like everyone went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. From the lactation specialist to the custodians, they were all friendly and wished us congratulations. Our room was clean, linens were changed timely. They kept apologizing for how behind they were and we never once felt unattended. Everyone we talked to was tenured and spoke highly of working there, you know that s a good sign when everyone loves where they work. That goes miles.

This experience was honestly so good we will make the drive from Littleton (if not a life threatening emergency) to this hospital for any future services. We cannot express our gratitude for the labor and delivery team at Lutheran. Thank you!!

I'm not sure why this place has been getting such awful reviews. I went to the emergency room for a second opinion on my upper respiratory infection after visiting a health care clinic the day before. The only reason I wanted a second opinion was I ended up throwing up that night and not getting any sleep. They assured me it was an upper respiratory infection but prescribed me two more drugs, one of which is to help the severe pain that my throat experiences when lying down. I went at about 8:30 in the morning and was seen immediately. I lost track of time but I would say I was only in there for about 1-2 hours which is pretty short considering it's an emergency room. Also, unlike most health care places, they have wi-fi so you have something to do while you wait if you have a smart phone, tablet, etc. I felt cared for and managed to get some sleep last night and even took a nap today. I would definitely go back for any medical concerns I may have in the future.

This lady is the most heartless nurse in the world, how she got a job in the medical field is insane. She treats patients and their families absolutely awful. From Mohammed who made sure my room was clean to Courtney who was the best nurse I ve ever had. But all my nurses were great. Staci went above and beyond to get me discharged as quickly as possible. There were many more I can t remember all there names. I feel really bad about that. But everyone, to the man (Woman), who was there to help me did an excellent job. Even the food was pretty darn good.
One more thing. Because I had an infectious disease everyone who came into my room had to put on a gown and gloves. A real pain, especially for those who had to continually come in. Not one person showed that they were frustrated with the continual process.
Bottom line, if you have to be in the hospital, go to Lutheran Medical Center.

My husband was in the ER for what turned out to be a kidney stone (and not even a week later my dad was in their ER before being transferred to St. Joe's) and his visit was ok. For the most part the staff was nice and helpful and kept us informed during the visit. The actual doctor, while nice, was only in the room long enough to say the scan showed it was definitely a kidney stone and then he left. We do understand that my husband was probably his lowest priority so we don't hold it against him too much but it was kind of weird. His nurses were pretty alright. We did have to use the call button once when his IV started going the wrong way (blood was going up the tube towards the bag) and it took forever for the nurse to come in. I noticed a lot of call buttons/alarms would be going off for long amounts of time, so it wasn't just us it happened to. Also, I don't know if it was just a drill but when we got there I heard "code blue room 26. Code blue room 26" and not a single nurse moved or stopped what they were doing at their desks (some of them were just talking) and the doctor happened to stand by me and said to the nurses something along the lines of "I don't see any movement!" but with a smile on his face almost like he was teasing... so, I'm not really sure how to feel about that. (And yes, there was a patient in room 26)...
All in all, this isn't the worst place but it's also not really the best (we saw 4 different hospitals in a span of 2 weeks due to other family members having emergencies... It was a crazy time.)
Now, I hear their billing is a whole different ball game and not so fun to deal with but my husband has VA so hopefully we won't have to fight it much lol!

The billing practices of this hospital are horrendous, their billing department is inept, and watch out . . . they could ruin your credit before you even know what happened. I owed a balance with them and they agreed to put me on a payment plan. Although I paid under the payment plan every month, they sent me to collections, without providing prior notice that they were doing so!!!!!! I called and tried to discuss it with their billing representatives, and they were absolutely clueless and frankly, quite combative. I elected to pay the balance in full because I had no confidence that they would not ruin my credit due to their inept billing department. BEWARE if you are working with the billing department of this hospital. It's enough to make me want to take my business elsewhere, so I don't have to deal with the brain damage of this hospital's billing.

I just wanted to say this hospital is a good place to come. As soon as they put me in a room they came in quickly. I went to north suburban a few days before and they said my abdominal pain is unknown and sent me home. Lutheran sent me home feeling better and with the cause of my pain. They just called me to check up. Will definitely be going back for future issues. Highly recommended!

THIS HOSPITAL AND ITS PHYSICIANS CARE ONLY FOR MON...

THIS HOSPITAL AND ITS PHYSICIANS CARE ONLY FOR MONEY. My husband went to the ER in 2010 and we do not really remember the exact reason and have since received a collections notice for $387. When I called the collection agency (N.A.R) and asked for an itemized copy of the bill, the only thing they sent me was a hand typed letter with the account number and original balance due. Shortly after receiving this we received a letter from a lawyer stating that we now owe $774. When I called them to inform them of our situation and the fact that my son had leukemia and that due to insurance purposes we are limited in the amount of our income and we cannot afford to pay the full amount. I was told that they cannot give me legal advice and that anything that needs to be done has to be done by me. WHAT???? I had no clue what this means so asked to speak to a supervisor who told me, AGAIN, that they do not give legal advice and there was nothing they could do I just have to pay the balance in full or go to court. I know if we go to court they will garnish my husbands wages which would put us in an even worse situation. I then had to call the collection agency back(N.A.R) to ask them if I could contact their clients directly and was told that it is with the attorney now and they could do nothing and that in fact the physicians services authorized legal action on our account. This is insane and very obvious that this whole Lutheran system only cares about money. THANKS ALOT PHYSICIANS SERVICES, LUTHERAN AND DR.J MICHAEL STACKPOOL FOR BEING GREEDY, MONEY HUNGRY, JERKS. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS HOSPITAL AND WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE!

April 2013, my Mother had emergency surgery for a perforated ulcer. I remember like it was yesterday, 1:00 am my brother and I were waiting in the dark, empty waiting room. The Anesthesiologist punctured her lung - she went into cardiac arrest. My Mother never made it back home. There are other hospitals around, avoid this one if you can!

The most awful experience I have EVER had in my life! I was 39 weeks pregnant and was in fetal distress. Instead of giving me an emergency c-section right away, the staff decided to wait 8+ hours for my dr. to get there. Sadly it was too late for my baby, he passed away in the nicu 10 days later. And on top of that, I never got a conclusive answer to what had happened to my son or the reason he passed. AVOID THIS HOSPITAL LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!

I had my daughter here and they never sent in her paperwork to get a birth certificate or a social security number. Everytime I called I left a message and never got a call back. Finally when we got ahold of someone they said they sent the paperwork a month after she was born but SS never received it. We called to get a birth certificate and they never got the paperwork either. Really frustrated and will never be here again.

We went here tonight. We had to wait for almost 3 hrs before going back to a bed. When I finally got to a room I was in a good deal of pain but never got any pain medications. They did a pregnancy test and took some blood from me and we never got those results. The DR did an exam but we didn't understand a word he was telling me. Then when I was getting discharged the nurse had no idea about what was going on. Such a bad hospital. We will never go to that hospital again.

Had to visit the ER at about 1:00 a.m. Other than the wait time (which was beyond anyone's control), I was quite impressed. Every single staff member was caring, competent, and friendly. I appreciate it!

My wife recently gave birth at Lutheran. We were h...

My wife recently gave birth at Lutheran. We were highly impressed with the facility and the nurses. All the nurses were incredibly kind and compassionate. We never felt like an inconvenience or that we were asking stupid questions. In the Labor and Delivery floor we had nurse Shelly taking care of us from when we got there around 6am through the end of her shift around 7pm. She was amazing the entire time making sure my wife was comfortable (at least as much as one could hope during labor) and that we were well informed on the progression of labor. Once it was determined that our baby was breech we were suited up, prepped and brought to the OR for an incredibly quick and stress free c-section (as much as one could hope for when having surgery).

After delivery we were brought up to the Mom Baby unit where Nurse Britta helped us through our first night with our baby girl. Although we were delirious after having been awake for almost 30hrs she was patient and very attentive. When her shift was over we had Nurse Amber who was equally compassionate and helpful. The nurses were never annoyed when we hit the call button. They were always happy to help with whatever we needed. We kept expecting that the next nurse wouldn't be as good as the last but they truly were an amazing team. When we couldn't swaddle our baby properly (they are total pros) they would come help us get her to sleep. If we had a question they'd come in and answer it with a smile on their face. The lactation specialists were a huge help with nursing bring my wife from tears while nursing to having us leave with a plan and comfort level that we'd be able to do this whole newborn thing on our own. We even had a follow up appointment where they checked in to make sure mom and baby were having the most positive experience possible. When we were finally discharged by nurse Alyssa we literally gave her a hug because she and her fellow nurses had been so helpful and made us feel so at home.

I can't remember all the names of the nurses who helped us during my wife's recovery but we couldn't be happier with the attentive service we received. We would highly recommend Lutheran for any mothers giving birth.

They also had a series of great classes that we took prior to delivery which helped us prepare and know what to expect throughout the entire process.

Can't recommend this place enough and I've (unfortunately) been to other hospitals enough (mostly the ER) to tell you that this place is really great and has a great staff!!

I get that the ER sees many things every day, but just because were JUST ANOTHER patient, doesn't mean you shouldn't take people seriously. Just because were not dying or have serious lacerations that are making you go above and beyond doesn't mean you can have an attitude or treat us like our problems aren't big enough for YOU! When we come to the EMERGENCY ROOM you expect to be welcomed, Instead we were made to like we should have never came. First impressions are everything and the people who first check you in, should be the first people to make you feel like you came to the right place ! "were going to figure this out, don't worry". Would have been nice to hear.

We welcomed our newest tribe member into the outsi...

We welcomed our newest tribe member into the outside world this past Tuesday morning. We wanted to share a little bit of her beautiful birth story with everyone.

"She was my fierce little warrior in the womb, gently and not so gently reminding me of her sweet existence for 9 months. I always felt that hers would be an amazing and unique birth story but until a week ago, I didn't know just how amazing and opposite "my plans" that would be. A week ago, we received unfortunate news from our latest ultrasound that my placenta previa diagnosis, from early on in the pregnancy, had not resolved itself and that we no longer were able to have our planned 2nd homebirth. To really test our strength and shake our foundations, our diagnosis was that she would need to be delivered via cesearan section and within the next 2 weeks to avoid a truly scary medical emergency. The diagnosis initially crushed me - I cried, I got angry, I felt a victim .... but then I allowed acceptance and strength to enter and our family bravely stepped out onto this new path, determined to make it a wonderful experience. I researched, I asked lots of questions, I leaned on friends in the birth field, I pushed for holistically-minded practices and found an amazing practice and hospital to have my wonderful surgery. I can't thank the doctors, nurses and staff enough at Lutheran Medical Center in Denver, CO, for supporting my family and me with a family-centered, gentle cesearan section delivery to welcome our surprise baby girl. I truly feel that my cesarean delivery couldn't have been more "natural" and holistic-based. I was so at peace and so centered. Surrounded by my family and people, who had just met me within days/hours of the surgery, my favorite music in the background, mood lighting set to romance, a perfect view of the entire delivery unfolding just inches below my chest - I witnessed Her amazing birth story."

Baby M. and mama are doing amazing - recovering and pouring love into one another. Special shout outs to the Labor and Delivery OR team of Dr. Crawford, Midwife Maureen, Nurse Jesse, Anesthesiologist Dr. S, and Iris. Mom and Baby Staff, Nurse Shelley, Nurse Vickie, Nurse Sommer, and Nurse Chelsie. And to all the supprt staff from lactation to housekeeping to room service to the women's care and pediatric docs.

Much love and light!

Brought in a relative with unexplained internal bleeding who s on blood thinners. She was ignored in the waiting room for two hours, then forgotten in her room for another 40. They never even gave her an IV. She wasn t even given the call button! It wasn t until she got dressed to walk out so we could go to a different emergency room that a nurse finally asked her if she WANTED to see a doctor! Only take someone here if you want them to die of neglect while the staff gossip on their butts!

A hospital isn't exactly where I'd expect the best customer service to occur. But I was really blown away by how the staff at Lutheran treated my whole family on our last visit. Specifically, Jessica, Jamie and Brian B. in the ER were so wonderful to my children. My son was getting treated for stitches and I was there for a nose injury at the same time. They watched my kids during my x-ray, made my son feel safe, fetched us snacks since it was way past dinner time, and even gave the kids teddy bears as we left. I can't say enough good things about how kind the medical team was to us, and went above and beyond.

I put a mid star rating as I haven't concluded treatment at this facility and will update accordingly. Was a little taken aback that I had to pay my co-pay for surgery almost 2 weeks prior to registration (over 2K). I asked whether I could pay it at time of registration and was told no. I find that very strange and to be honest I went into panic mode researching the number that had called me as I thought it was a scam. Hopefully it wasn't, but to make matters worse, when I did register yesterday they didn't have a record of my payment. Hopefully the treatment portion is better than the billing department.

I went to the emergency room and they were great but then they referred me to there on site orthopedic dr. Which turned out to be completely awful. They didn't review my medical history and allergys before prescribing me medicine. Also when I called to get it corrected they said the dr wasn't in the full day that I had to wait until tomorrow. Well then when I called the next day proceeded to tell me to take another medicine which I had been advised not to take by my primary care dr. When I told them that i was advised no to take it they told me I was gonna have to wait another day to get another conformation. Needless to say I'm finding somewhere else to go because this is outrageous!

I went in because I had a reaction to Diflucan/Voltaren and the ER flushing it out. When I got there I couldn't move my left side or speak. After a few hours after flushing my system out I was doing a lot better I could talk and move. They said they wanted to keep me overnight. I had gone though so many test because they didn't know what was wrong. They didn't find anything. So I get put in a room. The ER Doctor said DO NOT TAKE THAT MEDICATION AGAIN!!! I get up to my room and I'm having pain. They did a shift change and the new doctor was taking over. The nurse went and asked the doctor for pain medication he had her give me the same medication that put me in there. He didn't read the chart the whole way and thought that was what they were giving me for pain. In less then 10 minutes or about there. I had another recation. I was rushed too ICU. They did every test possible and say it was the medication. So the next day they are letting me go home and they said I would get better in a few days or less then a month. The doctor said to go see my doctor. I started getting these episodes after that with my brain where I can't talk or move it hurts my brain. And they didn't follow up with me and they say it's not there fault. Had the doctor read my chart i wouldn't be suffering this way. Because they were so bad i couldn't even do anything go anywhere and needed help for a few years. And i still do at times It's been almost 3 years and have tried to find an attorney to help me. What they did to me by not looking at my chart fully caused me to not be able to do much and scared to drive. Inever know when I'm going to get one after three years in finally getting somewhat better. They just didn't care what they did to me and said they didn't give me the medication but they did they even charged me for it. DO YOU KNOW YOU CAN SUE A HOSPITAL WITHOUT 2-3 DOCTORS SAYING THEY DID WRONG THEY BLACK BALL THEM DOCTORS THAT AGREE THEY SCREWED UP BUT NO ONE WANTS TO GO UP AGAINST A HOSPITAL. SO I'M LEFT TO FUFFER ALONE. On top of that my ex-s girlfriend works their i called them because she got into my file and went and was telling others about my medcial reaction and my record. I called and of course they are going to say she didn't but I know for a fact she did. She is still employed there where they cover for there staff do wrong and cover it. It used to be one of my favorite hospitals. And now because of there Doctor not reading my chart correctly I'm left to suffer the rest of my life.!!!! And to allow an employee to go though your information is just WRONG!!! They don't care what this doctor did and that it's OK for there employees can just going into someone file and give out your information!!!!!!!

Doctors in the ER are retarded. They think everyone is scamming them for pills. If they had any brains they would know if it's easier and faster and safer to get them on the street.
A nurse who collapsed a vien, and are doctor who is asking the patient what that wasn't to do. This is bullshit. This review goes for all the front range hospitals as they are all the same
