Great place to eat...new kid on the block and they delivered.

Did not like the food. Way too expensive. The shop was lovely.

My wife and I were very disappointed. We have ordered carry outs a few times now and they have gotten our order wrong. The most recent time, the sandwich was prepared terribly. The bread was not toasted, there was no cheese on the sandwich and the au jus was extremely salty. I doubt we will return, due to the inconsistency. This was our favorite sandwich and they seem to just not be able to get it right. Because of this, I cannot recommend this place. Very sad about this, because the restaurant is very close to my house.

I asked for patio seating but she insisted in seating me inside. I believe it should be my choice if I want to get wet in the rain or not!

Neat place with some cool decor. The pastries looked wonderful, and they did a gluten-free meal well enough for my Celiac wife. Good food and did great hosting a little birthday party. Nice little place!

Great atmosphere, a bit loud but in a good way. Friendly service, unique and well executed dishes (I had the octopus and pork belly lettuce wraps). Definitely recommend. Have a seat outside after dinner, great view under the stars.

Food is great, atmosphere is amazing, and staff was very friendly.

This was a place out in the middle of nowhere, it seemed, but my lobster roll was delicious and definitely worth the drive! My husband and friend enjoyed their entrees, too, and Hector and other staff were attentive and made lunch fun!

Such a beautiful restaurant. The service is prompt and professional, and the food is amazing!!

Very good food with a great view. My wife and I both had seafood. She had shrimp mofongo - as good as in San Juan - I had wood-grilled seafood - a mix of mussels, shrimp, scallops and fish fillet. Both were superbly prepared with perfectly balanced spices (see photo). (Best mussels I ever had). One cocktail and one draft beer rounded out the meals. Pricing was $$-$$$ because of a la carte pricing. No room for dessert. Easy to get to in the Lake Nona area. Server was courteous, helpful and efficient. Next trip to Orlando, we'll be back.

This restaurant is amazing. I love the vibe being lake side and in the center of Laureate Park in Lake Nona. They food is always amazing and great for the price. They even have a little area for dogs outside. They staff is always super amazing I love it when Daniella is my server or bartender. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone local or wanting to visit lake Nona

Always friendly staff. Great views of the water -- catch sunset. Wednesday and Friday live music is best with their guitar acts (Zach is great).

Beautiful space overlooking the lake with sunset views. Nice place to grab a cup of coffee and work/study in the cafe, plus the shop is darling and the full bar / restaurant is great.

The fish and chips and other dishes were great but I was disappointed with what you called Mexican queso. That one is normally done with white cheese like Chihuahua or Oaxaca broiled in a skillet and served with tortillas. The one you serve is more like Velvetta with chorizo and served with chips.

You gotta check this place out. I had some amazing smoked steak, scallops, calamari, and key lime pie here. Definitely closer to $$$ than $$ but it's worth it.

Food quality = 5 stars.
Service = 5 stars.
Price = $30 for main plate, $12 cocktails
Indoor and outdoor seating. Very nice facilities. Plenty of parking.

What to say about Canvas?

First of all, we have to talk about location. This restaurant is in the up and coming area of Lake Nona, so it's pretty much far a way from everything and most of the clientele comes from this area. I had never heard of this restaurant except for relatives that live in the Wyndham Lakes neighborhood, which is very close to it, or by word of mouth.

Canvas is on a standalone building in a very picturesque subdivision of Lake Nona, pretty much in the middle of the 3 storey/2-car garage townhomes. It is next to the clubhouse and another building used for events, etc.

There is plenty of parking and they have Valet Parking from the evening on, adding more to the price point.

The concept and decoration are great. It consists of a market/coffee shop/bar/restaurant under 1 roof and each section has its own sitting area. Additionally, there are two patio seating areas, one covered by glass and one covered by a screen, like a big lanai, and that's where we sat when we went.

The service is good. The wait staff does their rounds and make their presence felt.

The beer selection could be better, especially if you don't like to drink IPAs all the time. I just ended up going for a Michelob Ultra.

Now let's talk about the food. The menu items offer a good variety. However, sometimes it's better to be better at one thing that shoot in the dark trying to be good at everything. This is the case of Canvas.
First of all, the appetizers are great, especially the calamari and the fried yucca. However, when we get to the main course things got a bit disappointing.
The mofongo costs $28. I am not Puerto Rican but have eaten this dish at plenty of restaurants and friends/family houses, and I am so sorry but your version doesn't cut it, not to mention that the portion is honestly not worth that much money.
The burger I got was very good looking, and the add-ons I chose were all there and tasted good, but the burger as a whole was tasteless and I had to make sure I was eating the meat with something else. Additionally, I didn't like the fact that you don't have any gluten free bread.... Like, get with the program.
Revise your main dishes and if you will serve ethnic foods have more tastings and compare it to other places flavors and portion sizes.
I am giving a 3 star for the staff, decoration and appetizers, which, again, were good. But I don't think I will be back to have a full meal.

Brunch is great ! Love the ambiance and Market attached that gives you two choices for eating. You can order at the Market which has smoothies, salad, coffee, pastries and other treats or if you want to sit down in the restaurant you can do that too. The scenery and decor are also really nice.

Canvas was AMAZING! We celebrated as a Friend proposed to his Fiance last night. The food & the ambience was impeccable. The service was also top notch!

Very nice place with a beautiful lake view. The staff is pretty friendly, but the food is hit or miss. Their better dishes (ie. Shrimp Mofongo from their dinner menu, and the Lemon Curd Pancakes from their brunch menu) are really awesome, but when they miss on a dish they miss BIG! I ordered a Cuban Sandwich for $13 and ended up with a giant piece of bread, and literally 2 thin slices of Canadian Bacon, and 4 tiny pieces of Pork Belly, I had to order 2 Arnold Palmers just to wash down all that bread...and I only ate half. I really like the place, just wish their food was more consistent.

I LOVE Canvas if you get a chance to sit on the patio while the sun is setting DO IT!! The food is always amazing, the staff is friendly and the wine is better :) I even had my birthday there.

We had ceviche and the salmon. The ceviche tasted like it was cooked in the microwave and the banana chips were very chewy. It was almost like the ceviche was overcooked. I'm not sure what they did. Service was ok, until we needed our check and then our server was no where to be found. The salmon was good. Overall, we were very disappointed and I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Great restaurant in Lake Nona. Wings and calamari were both different and great...very tasty. Nashville Hot Chicken was juicy and tasty. Key Lime tart was fantastic! Juan, our server, and staff were very attentive. Great deck overlooking the small lake/pond. I'll be back!

Super chic spot with a fresh twist on classic favorites. Live music can be heard on occasion. Some items are a bit pricey, but delicious portions make up for it.

Love this place and come here all the time.
Location is great for events and open porch location has some of the best staff with the bar. Try their mussels, meatballs, tuna poke bowl and the incredible fish tacos with yuca fries. You'll never want other yuca fries.
From weekend breakfast to lunch meetings during the week or Saturday date nights... this place adapts to all. One of my favorite things? The marketplace with its chillout area. Great for meetings, working with a coffee in hand and to find the Nona Magazine and latest Lake Nona developments.

Politely called to see if they accept walk-ins, whoever answered the phone replied back yes, we do . When we arrived, there was no seating available but a reserved table (non sitting too) that just had a paper sign on it because we didn t want to sit outside due to the heat. It s known to be HOT in Florida of course. We were then taken to a seat that was not available then afterwards they tried to place us back on the screened patio. After seeing my significant other mad, I replied Did you hear our request? WE DO NOT WANT TO SIT OUTSIDE . Whomever the supervisor was that came out. She then replied, I can sit you in the corner..... with no possible view or even a great area around humans. An area that was beautiful by the way but it looks like a place you would put a bad child in timeout. If I could have take this service down by 1 star, I definitely would. The fact they had an open table and didn t even bother to suggest it to us after calling before hand. Just shows you where the customer service lies no where . I wouldn t recommend this place to anyone because of the way myself and my significant other was treated. The staff basically has no idea what they can do and the supervisor is just as clueless and perhaps ignorant to the fact of how customer service works. Whomever is in charge need to remind their staff to treat everyone with respect!

Lunch is polite, ample and flavoured above standard. Happy employees and gentle surroundings. I took my daughter to lunch and I would take her back.

If you like hipster and artwork that means nothing, this is your place. The view was cool, food decent.

Located in a lovely waterside area of Lake Nona, Canvas has a great open atmosphere and a menu that touches on both Latin and American favorites. The crackers given instead of bread to start are phenomenal. Covered in Old Bay seasoning and light enough to eat 100 of them at once, they are the perfect before meal treat. The twice cooked yuca fries were also delightful with great presentation and yummy flavorful sauce to dip them in. I had the canvas burger as my main and it was a perfectly cooked burger with excellent fries. Service was really good and I can t wait to come back soon!

Perfect spot on the patio right off the lake. Good food and drinks. I wish the live music lasted longer but it was still amazing.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere about it. The food is excellent and service is great. Canvas is one of those places where you can take your family out for lunch, have a dinner date with the wife, or even just to grab a drink at the bar. We plan on going back to Canvas frequently.

Generally disappointing. The canvas brunch plate is one of the worst dishes I've ever had. It's lower quality than a 99 cent IKEA breakfast.

Awesome service by Dylan, our server, which was friendly and attentive. Food was great as always. The only downside was, as usual, the awful acoustics. Sound volume is terribly high, and we had to switch tables to be able to hear each other. Apart from that it was wonderful, but the acoustics are terrible, and you do go out to talk as well as eat. Would have been 5 stars if we would have been able to maintain a conversation without shouting.

House draft beer... TOP NOTCH! Ceviche and wings out of this world!

First time here. It was absolutely fantastic. Even with all the covid nonsense we had an exceptional time. Definitely try the octopus and panna cotta if available. Build your wine and dinner around those two items and you will kit go wrong.

Very good location, however the food did not surprise me, the gift shop is very nice as well as the decoration, what I enjoyed most was the brunch with unlimited mimosas on Sunday. The view of the lake is worth enjoying on your terrace

The restaurant is located in a great place. Went there for Anniversary and got really dissapointed with the lunch menu. Didn't have much to choose. We were about 10 minutes away for dinner time and nobody told us about the change of menu. So we ordered from lunch menu and left starving. The plates super duper small. A couple got there 15 minutes after us had the dinner menu but we had already ordered to take it back. Our server had too many tables and took so much time to get our order. He was so stressed out and overwhelmed that the service was so impersonal and rushy. I was so sad.

I always get the grilled chicken sandwich when I go there. And it is freaking amazing. My advice would be to ask for extra aioli it just never seems like it's enough.

1st time going, we went for brunch. The service was good. The food was delicious but for the price the portions were on the small side. The place is absolutely stunning, nice location. May try again for dinner.

We usually love it, the food is probably top 3 on my list. Unfortunately this time around the service was not satisfying. But other than we always have a awesome time here!! Stay hungry!

Beautiful location in Lake Nona on the water. Service was great. There is a nice shop at the entrance with lots of unique finds. Live music to set the mood. I would place it in the $$$-$$$$ range
