Excella Travel (HK) Ltd Review

I can thoroughly recommend Excella travel. Usually I book online but this time I needed to book tickets with a combination of methods. The flight search and booking was the most efficient I have experienced anywhere I have worked or lived. My tickets were ready quickly .I also had a follow up question about my fare and this was answered by email very quickly and in detail as well. For those living in Hong Kong or visiting, this is an easy to find location (Queens Road).It was a pleasant experience. Other than the friendly and helpful service the best thing I can say is that they saved me money, they found a ticket cheaper than I had found online. I will certainly use Excella again.

There are very few places that make you feel at ease the minute you step through the door; Excella travel is one.
Every time I was in the office itself, I was greeted with a smile and a chat, and my lack of knowledge about destinations and travel was more than compensated for by the expertise of the staff. Communications between myself and the team were fast and efficient, with any changes being made straight away and itineraries designed to suit my every need. I would also like to give a special mention to Amrit Sethi, who handled my requests superbly and was a pleasure to speak too.
I would definitely recommend Excella Traveller to anyone looking for a tailored package tour.

Above and beyond service by the Excella Travel team, who go out of their way to ensure travel planning is seamless. Always helpful and proactive, no travel scenario is beyond them! They even helped me check on a tricky ESTA status application for the US, finding my previously lodged & paid but not registered application for me. In a sea of same-same travel agencies in Hong Kong, Excella Travel stands out. Great team.

To make it short and sweet, I & my wife live in Dubai and we applied for visit visa to Hong Kong (since Lebanese nationals need to apply by mail post to Hong Kong immigration department in Wan Chai). I had to ship my documents through Emirates post "speedpost" in order not to lose time. After 40 days from applying I received an email confirmation from the immigration that my visas were accepted however i had an issue with my bank drafts (visa payments) and they requested a new drafts.

After shipping the new drafts, i called immigration and discovered that my visas will be shipped to my home address in Dubai through registered mail. This usually take up to 3 weeks which means i will miss my travel date (my flight tickets & hotel accommodation were non-refundable bookings).

I searched on google for travel agent in Hong Kong to assist me in this matter and luckily i found Excella Travel. I contacted them by email and they answered back quickly offering their services. When they tried to collect my visas on my behalf from the immigration department, they discovered that the immigration has already printed the visas and shipped it through registered mail.

Honestly, I lost hope since my visas will not reach on time to Dubai. However Amrit and Neelu went above and beyond my expectations! they contacted the immigration department, managed to speak with the officer who was in charge of my application and managed to find me a solution to re-issue new visas in one working day! The next day the ladies managed to collect the new visas and they shipped it to my home address with a speedpost mail which I received after 3 or 4 days.

I can t thank enough Neelu and Amrit for what they did. They are professional, they care about their clients and the most important part is that they deliver what they promised. I will defiantly recommend them and I hope working with them again.

Thank you so much for helping us to organizing the Aurora borealis viewing trip! It was one of the most amazing experience of our lives! Thank you for taking care of the small details and arranging all the activities, the Icehotel was definitely one of the highlight besides the light! Last but not least, thanks for helping us chasing the lost iPad in the plane!

Amrit has so far saved my trip more than once, most recently by rebooking my flights ahead of typhoon Mangkhut and even finding me a hotel in fully booked Singapore during F1 weekend. As a small business owner, I long thought online travel agents provided low prices and fast responses, but they still can't compete with the level of care and service Amrit and her team provide when I simply say "please take care of this trip for me". They have impressed me with their prices and even bent over backwards to help make out invoices in my client's preferred currency. I highly recommend them to travellers valuing a professional agent out for the nasty surprises travel can throw at us.

Traveling with Excella Travel

Even though I do not live in Hong Kong I have used Excella Travels services several times to book long distance trips to Asia and also shorter flights with hotels in Europe. On the long distance trips with complicated routings and a mixture of both land (train and car) and air transport it has felt very safe to have the support of Excella's staff.

The latest trip where I visited two major cities in Japan and Hong Kong, and traveled both by air and train, I got a Power Point package (a PDF) with all travel vouchers, maps, hotels and instructions how to get from one location to the next. In a complicated city like Tokyo this was very appreciated as I had a "personal travel plan" in my hand that I printed at home and then it helped me all along my travels.

I often use Excella for my travel needs in Asia for my work and personal travel. I have become to know the owners and believe their service to be far and beyond. They personally care for each of their clients, work hours well above a typical work day and have an understanding of all the political issues that affect travel and visa application processes. I would never use an online travel service to book my travel and would ask you all the same. Face to face voice to voice. Excella provides the advocacy you need when you travel often.

I will not recommend them. They have a con thing going on. They impose you to pay extra cash at the end. If u you refuse they threaten you that they will leave in mid way to airport. I had a really bad experience with them.

I can't say enough about Excella Travel. The team is amazing and they definitely aim to please. They are very professional, detailed and fast with their services. I used Excella for Visa services for my upcoming trip to China. I had applied in the hopes of receiving a double entry visa and when I picked up my passport from them, to my suprise they were able to obtain a 10 YEAR Visa for me at no additional charge. They are truly AMAZING!!!

Excella Travels have been helping my family and myself arrange flights and hotels for the past year. You can tell they put in the research into finding the best value-for-money hotels and flights. One of the best services they provide is keeping you informed of any potential flight issues or cancellations and then providing practical solutions for them. Cannot recommend their services enough!

I had a brief, yet excellent experience with this agency. I found their office on the web and dropped in late in the afternoon. Neelu Sethi was very kind, helpful and service-oriented. Although I couldn't find the ticket that I needed, I will definitely use them and recommend them to others in the future.

I regularly book tickets with Excella Travel. I used to try and plan my own trips using all the online travel sites, but honestly I would mess things up, forget to get seat assignments, etc. With Excella everything is done right and the price is usually less than what I find online. You can choose to DIY, but why? Excella takes the stress out of travel planning. I'm never going back to DIY.

Excella travel has been in business in HK over 50 years and now in the hands of the second generation of the Sethi's. Amrit Sethi arranged for me and my mother a cruise trip to the Mediterranean in April 2018. It will be mine and my mother's first time on a cruise. I ve never written a review before but after they helped me out I had to write a review. My girlfriend was traveling to Hong Kong and needed her visa to leave the airport we unfortunately wouldn t get it in time and I found this travel agency that would pick it up and drop it off for us. It was a little pricier than we would have liked but honestly when you get great professional service like this it is well worth it. Amrit helped me out and she was amazing. If I ever have any questions about traveling in Hong Kong I will definitely reach out to them again, and would highly recommend them to anyone.
