Evergreen Lawn and Pest Control Landscaping Review

I have had many different lawn care services over the years but without a doubt Evergreen is the most thorough and professional I have ever had. Its not even close. Plus they are affordable. Give them a try. You will NOT be disappointed.

I switched to Evergreen after my long time lawn care company could no longer treat my property.
Although skeptical of using a bigger company I must say I am very pleased with the service.
One of the main reasons for this is that my technician Zack has been a pleasure to work with.
He answers all my questions, makes very informed suggestions and also makes a point to let me know he is here with each visit.
So far it has been a great experience and my lawn looks better than ever.

My technician Ryan has done an astounding job with my lawn. The weeds on both my neighbors properties are completely at bay. Even the day flower which I was told could not be controlled has died back considerably and in some places has been eradicated. I hope he gets the praise and recognition he deserves. Thanks so much.

I had been a long time customer of another service company, but constant turn over in techs finally made me want to make a switch. Evergreen so far has done the job I had been expecting. Adam, who performed our last service spent nearly two hours on a Saturday (no less) and did specific treatments throughout the entire yard. In two months the front yard is nearly recovered and I expect to see the same in the back based on the effort and work they have done so far.

Have been a long term customer, and will continue to use them! These folks are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Curtis, the specialist who comes out to our house is always open to questions and goes out of his way to make sure our problems are taken care of.

In only our 2nd year of service our lawn has improved dramatically. Our technician Jose is very knowledgeable and provides great customer service. Great job!!

I have been super happy with Evergreen and my technician Jose is the best. On multiple occasions, he has seen me out in my yard and stopped to see if there were any issues and checked to see if I had any questions - and it wasn t even my day for service, he was in the neighborhood on another assignment. I have never had that happen before as technicians for other companies drive right past. Jose is personable and takes great pride in his work.

I have had several other pest control services in the past and by far Evergreen is significantly better. You have dedicated service to your lawn, so over time they are better suited to treat what they see. Anthony services our yard and he is always extremely thorough, spends significant time specifically treating anything he may discover during the visit, as opposed to simply spraying the yard and leaving in 15 minutes. He is always extremely courteous, lets me know when he is there and ensures the gates are closed when he leaves since we have dogs. Lastly, before he leaves he takes the time to write very thorough notes of everything he found and how he treated to combat it. He is a true professional who cares about is work and it shows; he is phenomenal. Our yard has never looked better!

I want to say that I have had EVERGREEN LAWN AND PEST service for just over 4 year's now and I now have one of the nicest lawns in my neighborhood. I always receive comments on how well the yard looks. One of the main differences that makes EVERGREEN successful is that they will not "kill" the entire lawn and start over. They use your existing grass and "build" a new lawn from what exists already. DANNY , my EVERGREEN technician, is terrific. He is extremely knowledgeable and is always willing to stop and answer questions. Our lawn has never looked better and will keep looking awesome in the years to come . Thanks EVERGREEN!" CHAD S.

I have been using Evergreen for last 10 years and very satisfied with their service.

We love Evergreen! We hired them to treat our lawn and it didn t take long for our neighbors to notice. Now most of our neighbors use them too! They do a great job and are very reasonably priced. We would definitely recommend them to all of our friends and family.

Update: The manager, Mike, came by today to talk about our concerns. We feel a lot better after speaking with him. He was kind, knowledgeable, and understood why we're concerned about our lawn. He came up with a plan to fix the issues and said we could switch technicians. We're really happy that there's a plan in place to address our concerns, even if it could take a few weeks to see results. We're not in a rush, we just want to be sure we're headed in the right direction, and now I'm confident that's the case. I updated my rating based on the quality of the customer service. I'll update the star rating again based on the results in the coming weeks.

We use Evergreen for lawn care, tree and shrub care, and pest control. Unfortunately, our experience with their services has been awful, particularly their lawn care services.

Evergreen first started treating our lawn after we had new St. Augustine sod installed throughout the property. They came out and treated the lawn one week after it had been installed, so it was a blank slate. The lawn was 100% St Augustine grass with no weeds and minimal brown spots. Now, just two months later, the lawn has a lot of issues. There are several brown spots, some weeds throughout the property, and bahiagrass growing in quite a few areas. Their service is pretty pricey so I was expecting that they would be able to prevent these issues, or at least get rid of them after the fact. Sadly, that doesn't seem to be the case.

We've called them to schedule service calls 2 or 3 times already. One time we called about fungus growing all over the lawn. It looked horrible and we were worried it would kill the new sod. Jose, our technician, came out and said it's greyleaf fungus and that "it's an eyesore but it wont hurt the grass". The thing is, I don't want my grass to look like an eyesore if we're paying Evergreen to keep it looking nice. Jose treated the fungus and the grass started looking better. That was a few weeks ago. Today, Jose came by again for another service call, this time for the brown spots in the yard. While we spoke to him about our concerns, he avoided making eye contact 80% of the time, didn't respond to most of the concerns I brought up, and told me he "wasn't going to go back and forth with me". He also mentioned that he had other stops to make and didn't have time to continue speaking with me. He didn't care at all about our concerns, said the lawn looks "fine", and after I asked about whether cancelling our service was an option, he encouraged us to cancel several times. I was hoping he would be able to help the lawn and that cancelling wouldn't be necessary, but now I'm even less confident in their ability to maintain the lawn. After that experience, I don't trust him at all to take care of our property. He just doesn't care about it. I attached a couple pictures so you can see the brown spots in the grass. This is what Jose considers to be "fine" after brand new, green sod was put in just two months ago.

I want to mention that the indoor pest control service has been great, as well as the shrub care. However, the lawn care has been so bad that I've considered cancelling all of their services. I just can't believe Jose is so indifferent about taking care of our lawn, and so rude in his dismissal of our concerns. My partner was present during that conversation with Jose, and he said he was happy I took the lead in speaking to him because he wouldn't have been able to stay polite after how rude he was to us. Also, after calling the office and requesting a service call, Jose showed up a whole week later than they said he would. He said he's going to send a supervisor out to address our concerns in a couple weeks, so I'll update this review after we get to speak with him/her. Hopefully he/she will care more about our concerns and we'll be able to get back on the right track with Evergreen.

At the moment: Not punctual, expensive service, indifferent and rude technician, and my lawn still doesn't look nice up close. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this company at all.

We have been using Evergreen for more than 8 years. Nine of my neighbors use them as well. On the last visit, I was not able to be home. My technician, Ryan, was able to find and treat issues that I didn't even know that I had. He exceeded my expectations. Great job. I want to thank Evergreen for the hard work that they do.

We called and cancelled Evergreen back in 2014 because we were not happy with their service and never heard from them again until we got a phone call from a collection agency in 2016 stating we owe $134 and the account was cancelled due to non payment. So shady. They never called or sent a bill. So shady.

Don't even think about going elsewhere. ..ask around. These guys and gals are the best out there! Get ready for an amazing lawn!

My husband and I have been loyal customers of Evergreen For over 20 years! We honestly get comments all the time about how great our grass looks. We now our own grass and love to work in the yard BUT we leave it up to our awesome Evergreen techs to take care of keeping our grass year round green not to mention weed control is great! Also our tech ANDREW LOPEZ is very caring, great at explaining any areas of concern, hard worker, punctual and super nice. Customer service is wonderful as well. The price is also very reasonable. Thank you Evergreen for all the great years of great service.

Evergreen is the best. I moved to the area three years ago. They have maintained my yard since I moved here. Justin is my technician and he does a fantastic job!

I've been using evergreen for the past 6 years. My lawn has looked nothing short of spectacular since! They give me plenty of advice on how to water properly and types of plants I should keep an eye out for. I've had nothing but great experiences with the office staff when I call, and they get ALL the weeds unlike my neighbors with other companies!

Don't ever sign up for lawn care or pest control. They have lied to us about I have canceled the service over the phone but I did not asked for canceled service. They wants to charge us for reactivate account. Forget!

their customer service is tribble, called to cancel the service on one of my rentals, 2 month later I received a bill, called them to find out why the did the service and they said they never received cancellation request, I called twice to try speaking with a manager and asked for someone to call me back and nada. I also had problems with them during the service they provide but that a different story.

Very professional and prompt service. Trey helps us to find out what is wrong with our lawn and proposed a plan for us. Looking for the green lawn again. There are many negative reviews against TRUgreen now. Lawn looks yellow after their treatment. The technicians "pretend" to do the spraying but are discovered that they just drive and stop by the house. Cameras at the front captured their fake services but still bill for their services. Evergreen, it is the time for you to shine and attract more customers. I will refer more customers without reservations to Evergreen. Thank you.

I had a similar experience as one of the reviewers.
Evergreen Destroyed my lawn and made all sorts of promises they never followed up on.
I called them numerous times and I talked to one of there supervisors. More lip service and no follow ups.
I have done several services myself to get my lawn back in decent condition.

UPDATE- I now have a new lawn care company and my yard looks fantastic... The response below from Evergreen is "just the same lip service" I received when I was a customer. I gave them 2 seasons (2 years) to fix the problem "they" created. I would have to say avoid them and look elsewhere.

The company I used before Evergreen sent a Tech and he parked in front of our neighbor's house where I could NOT see his truck and I NEVER saw him in our yard, yet there would always be a bill on the door . . .

On each visit, they ALWAYS ask if we have any concerns with our yard or plants and will discuss anything we might bring up. If the Tech does not know the answer, Management shows up within a couple of days to rectify situation. They spend time needed and do a good job covering our yard. Everyone has been very friendly.

So happy my daughter referred me to Evergreen. Can't say enough about their wonderful service!! After using the big "M" for many years with None of the service I am now getting with their tech Jose M. He is so professional,pleasant,concerned and helpful with my many questions.Just love this company.........its not a "drive by service" they do the work to keep my yard looking great!

We ve been with Evergreen for 4 months now, and couldn t be happier. Our rep (Joe) is great. Very helpful and professional, and he took the time to go through a lot of details with me when we first started the service. I really appreciate how available Joe and the Evergreen team are, and how quickly they respond to any requests. Our service guys, Adam and Dairell, are also great, and the notes they leave after every service really help to understand what is going on with the yard and how to keep it looking good. The treatment has made a tremendous difference in the past few months, and we are really happy to have found Evergreen.

We have had evergreen for a few years and I can tell you my lawn and shrubs have never looked better from our thick green grass to my happy hedge of azaleas which has grown full and beautiful . I have used several companies and Evergreen is the only one that made a huge difference in my lawn, shrubs and trees! The two earlier companies told me my robellini palms were yellow due to over watering. Once Evergreen started their service, they greened up quickly and have been that way for a long time now. My grass has gotten much thicker and greener. Very impressed! Update 6-19-17. Sadly, I have had to terminate Evergreen Lawn and Pest Control. Every time there was an issue, the issue was blamed on something else. The folks that have cut my lawn for years indicated that they have experienced this type of reaction throughout the industry.

I had used different Lawn and Pest Control Companies before, but none is better than Evergreen Lawn and Pest Control! They are professional , trustworthy and honest , especially the Tech. Anthony Groom, he is a hard working man, always smile and polite . Love to have him as my Tech !

Evergreen is one of the best companies out there highly educated and great customer service. I would give 6 stars if they let me.

I've known this company for 20+ years and know them to do an honest and sincere job. Their technicians are better informed and knowledgable and respond quickly to any issues. While not all lawns respond the same, cultural practices play a key role in results. If you follow recommendations, you will see positive results. Highly recommended.

I have been using Evergreen now for about 3 years or so. Have used many other services with horrible results. Jose Mercado, my tech, is just fantastic! Attention to detail and religiously doing his best to address the many issues that arise with my lawn in Florida's harsh conditions. I also have them fertilize & spray to my Fox tail Palms which are not perfectly suited for Orlando, more Southern Florida, but they are so full and lush, and absolutely thriving as a result! I can t say enough good things about Trey. We moved into our home nearly a year ago and had hands down the worst lawn on the block. We spent so much time and money on the interior that our grass and shrubs suffered. I spoke to some neighbors recently and some use TruGreen, others use Massey, but our neighbor on the corner guy uses Evergreen and I mean, his lawn looks like something you d see at Disney World. Trey came over and spent an hour with us even though he knew he couldn t service our yard. He gave us so much helpful advice on how we could revitalize our St. Augustine and get rid of the Bahia and weeds which run rampant in our yard. He s an honest and hard working man and cares more about customer service and reputation than just selling a service/product that won t be able to fix all the issues. He treats your lawn like a living organism (which it is!!) and not just some grass and dirt. I could go on and on but I just wanted to say that Trey is amazing and that as soon as we get our lawn reasonably improved, we re going with Evergreen and can t want to have the best lawn in our neighborhood.

We recently hired Evergreen to take care of our lawn and they have been amazing! Excellent communication and after our first treatment they offered tips and information so we understand what is happening with our lawn and ways we can improve it too. We can't say enough about our technician, Anthony Grooms, Since he's been treating our lawn, it is sooo beautiful. The grass is super thick,super green, NO Weeds, and No areas where the grass looks unhealthy. He pointed out the things we've been doing correctly and gave us some tips to help maintain our yard when the temperatures start to rise. Anthony, thank you for your service.

I have a vacation property down in Orlando that I visit 5-6 times a year, my eyes are always there through my cameras. Several times I have watched them spraying my lawn to make sure I'm getting my moneys worth. Needless to say they cover it 100% and never seem in a rush!

I've been using this company now for 1 year and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of lawn care or pest control. My lawn has come around 10 fold! They also take care of my pest control and I have not seen any moths, ants or cockroaches since they started. Curtis Murray who is my pest control tech is great to work with and is a smart and knowledgeable technician! He does a fantastic job, and my lawn tech Jose Mercado has my lawn looking impeccable! We have had a Contract for over a year with them & for some reason we have more weeds than ever, called after the last treatment they did and canceled my Contract, so they send me a bill & I call to get them back out to honor the bill, she said no you canceled so we can't do anything! What in the world greedy as they come, do not use these people or you are asking to get ripped off!!!

We were very please with Anthony's visit yesterday. He was able to educate us about how we could get rid of the fungus in our St. Augustine and even followed up with a phone call to make sure we had adjusted the watering system and whether we had any additional questions. This customer service is so rare and treat when you get it.

Evergreen and their superb technician, Danny, saved my lawn and shrubs that were dying as a result of the prior nationally recognized Lawn Service company. He always advised the type of service provided on the day of the service, then follows up regarding any issues or next steps. A real professional with acute knowledge of plants, pests, fungus and the necessary treatment. I would strongly recommend Evergreen and Danny.

I'm not usually one to go out of my way to write a reviews, but this team sure does deserve it! I haven't been around my house even once when Evergreen has come out to service my property, yet somehow I feel 10x more in touch with this staff compared to my last lawn spraying company. These guys leave detailed invoices at my door, leave messages on my phone to let me know what they found during the service, and overall are just an A+ company. When I run my cameras back, I see multiple laps done around my house looking for issues, then waiting at my door to try and speak to me in person. If all companies had HALF the customer service skills this team has, life would be a real joy. Thank you to everyone at Evergreen for a great experience every time.

Extremely satisfied with Evergreen! Exceptional customer service from Mike, their Pest Control Operations Manager and Trey the Sales Manager. Their technicians Dale and Joe did excellent product application and cleanup. We had termite issues that originated from a dead tree stump outside our yard, where the colony migrated onto our property. They treated my property with Termidor HE. I would highly recommend this company!

I ve been a customer of Evergreen Lawn for a few years. I ve always been extremely happy with the service I received, and the way my lawn looked, up until a few months ago. (My front lawn still looks good and is mainly weed free). We have a dove weed problem in the back of my house that overtook a big area behind my lanai.
The technician that originally came out for our scheduled lawn maintenance really never got the very small, original weed problem under control. After some difficulty in getting someone to return my call, a technician finally came out and sprayed the area of weeds again. The weed problem had gotten so bad that we now have to re-sod or put many plugs in this area for it to fill in. Right now it s a lot of dirt where an armadillo was able to dig up the ground because of the large area of weeds. I thought by having scheduled lawn maintenance that we would not have this problem.

I had the greatest experience with the lawn company Evergreen. Great customer service and attention to detail. I've used a lot of other lawn companies in the past few years and none compare to Evergreen. I spoke with a gentleman named Chris Garrett, very informative and well spoken in the lawn pesticide field. I would recommend them to anyone out there who is having lawn problems.

This rating for Evergreen Ornamental is mostly for the technician that just spent the time needed to address my lawn concerns. Clearly dedicated and highly educated in the care of plants and lawns, professional, and courteous. I literally have another estimate on the counter as this was a last resort service call with Evergreen to address my concerns. So this review is for Adam Cosnahan and the terrific care, detail and time he spent working in my yard today.

Just started with Evergreen a few moths ago. The customer service is great, much better then the previous companie I was using. In a few more months I will know if the service matches the customer care.

I couldn't be more impressed with his detail in writing up what he has done, what I should expect, and how I can help carry out the work he is doing (when to water, not water, etc). Tops because true to their word I continue to have the same technician performing the services, he talks with us before hand to learn if we have any issues or questions, if we have special needs he has been able to provide in addition to the scheduled service and at no extra charge and he has everything you might need on the truck on every service call.
