Eurostar Rio Douro Hotel & Spa Review

WiFi is not very stable and the key card doesn't always work. But it has a nice view of the river and it is clean and smells good

Good location and nice room but the room service was not good. They didn't offer boxed tissues and we didn't have enough toilet paper.

Hotel is in a quiet spot just a few minutes walk to were all the action is on the river. Beautiful views from the rooms window and balcony. Staff are friendly and very helpful.

This hotel is lovely! Within walking distance of the main Riverside restaurants and shops which is lovely. The rooms are very clean, and it is situated right by the river, such means the rooms are very quiet, with lovely views if you face the river. Staff are very helpful and proactive! I only wish the restaurant was open earlier than 5pm!

I give it two stars because it is in an unbeatable place. Two hours to have breakfast, the elevator 20 minutes to get on. If the hotel works at 50%, accommodate 50% and not 100%.

The Hotel itself seems to be good and even is beautiful from the outside, however, I think the picture as a whole is inadequate precisely where it is located, since around it there are not properly big constructions !!!

Hotel with a fantastic view. The bed is very comfortable and inside the apartment everything is very quiet, ideal for relaxing. The fantastic bathroom as well as the kitchen. Clean 5 stars and very friendly staff. It is in a very good area to go out on foot and discover Porto. To repeat without a doubt.

The room was not too big but comfortable, beds comfortable, the bathroom was clean and modern, the view of the river and bridge was unique! The hotel car park is not free but secure. Finding a parking space on the very busy street is like playing a lottery - you might not be lucky until around 8 p.m. (when the funicular to the old town is closed)! Breakfast buffet is good, as well as coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice! Last but not least, the staff must be mentioned ... Simply great - efficient, warm, more than helpful and not superficially friendly! We had a car breakdown on the street; a new battery was procured (personally in the private car from the reception / manager!) and also helped by the hotel staff during the installation, everything goes without saying !!! Thank you very much for a great stay :))

Horrible hubicacion, unpleasant staff although the room is beautiful and overlooks the river. Essential to park in the hotel parking for 15 / day or walk a lot and 6 the day since the area is dodgy and steal a lot, the parking is small so be careful ... to go to the beautiful area you have to climb a really steep hill and cross a slum neighborhood. I do not return to this hotel neither crazy neither by the staff nor by the location.

Excellent four-star hotel, with four-star facility and service

Great place to base yourself from to see Porto, very decent central location - 10 minute walk to town. Nice breakfast station, cool rooftop bar. Solid service from staff and nice view of the river. Good for both the business traveller and the adventurer.

Bridge over the Shadow of the Stormy River in the morning sun. Breakfast and coffee are ok too.

At 3am we arrived in search of food, they did not have for sale ... Very kind offered us apples. Amazing hotel in every way

Located on the banks of the Douro River, it has incredible views of the Luis I Bridge. Spacious rooms and a first class breakfast buffet.

Very well located, just in front of the Douro a few minutes da Ribeira, historical area of Porto. Full breakfast and quality, everything is good. Friendly staff. Small but comfortable room, well decorated. Only black point, parking is limited in places. Sometimes you have to park further.

An excellent hotel, with impeccable cleanliness and a very attentive staff, in a good location.

We love it! And that contributed to the friendliness and availability of everyone, the rooms overlooking the Douro and the fabulous breakfast buffet.

Beautiful hotel perfectly located to see Porto.
We spent one night in a room with incredible views and the perfect room with all the comforts nice big bathroom big bed, kitchen in the room and a sofa bed.
The guy at the reception very friendly.
The hotel has parking where we leave the van without problem.

Fantastic location on the river. Close to all the restaurants and fun. Tough check in due to lack of parking. All doors reserved when I pulled in. I had to park half a mile away in a public parking for 25.00 euros overnight. Otherwise great hotel and city.

the location of hotel is fantastic, a bit tricky to find its location and the staff there are not very helpful. We couldn't find our way to hotel when driving there, Google map was telling us around, we called the hotel and the staff just told us to set our destination to a building nearby without giving further information. We finally spent more than 30mins there, and found that we were actually only 5 mins away when we called. After checked in, we found we were not the only ones who had this problem.

Clean. Well situated with friendly staff. Parking was a no go, but lots of public spots not too far away.

We had a fun time in Porto great place to stay at the Eurostar. The hotel is close to the city, and right on the river Duro. From the hotel it is easy to visit shops and restaurants. There is lots of walking to great places to party along the way. We also saw awesome amazing street music groups like Urban Cello at The Whale can t wait to go back

Paid 400 for a room of a view of a cement wall 1 meter away. Insulting! Two stars for a clean room. Will not return.

Located next to the river and with fantastic views, in 10 minutes you are in the center of Oporto.

Establishment in front of the Douro and next to the Luis Luis Bridge. Very much the rooms and little space. Little illuminated Very expensive for paid services. Attention to the right audience.

Very nice staff. The double room was very small but very neat and furnished with great attention to detail. From the balcony you have a beautiful view of Porto. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. The location of the hotel is perfect for a walk to the old town. Within five minutes you are on the downtown promenade. Although the hotel is located on a busy street we did not notice the noise.

Location is good. The room was confortable but cleaning was not acceptable for a 4* hotel. Breakfast was good but not amazing and no different from other good 3* hotels.
Overall, hotel failed to deliver value for money and did not offer anything that I would not be able to find in another good 3* hotel.

The location with a view of the Douro is beautiful, the old town is within walking distance. The rooms are large and well equipped, and the service is mostly friendly.

The breakfast room is too narrow, the service there just tried hard. The bar is carelessly decorated.

Staff at restaurant are not friendly /helpful . No smile. Chipped mug cup on table . Some glasses dirty .

No hair conditioner supplied. Staff at reception told us to go and buy it , then gave us name of shop and direction, but we found that they do not stock hair conditioner when we got there !!!

Perfect to visit Oporto without being in the chaos of the Center. It is worth paying a little more and having a room with views of the Douro.
