Great airport. Friendly staff, comfortable gate area. Good mask protocols practiced.
Great airport. Friendly staff, comfortable gate area. Good mask protocols practiced.
This small airport has a too many security guards that take their jobs too seriously. Literally watching my family member leave the baggage carousel and they want me to circle around.
In A Nutshell:
-The Eugene Airport is nice to fly into b/c it's both convenient & small.
-You'll zip in/out pretty fast.
-It's also very clean w/ some nice views of the Oregon countryside.
Overall, if you need to access the University of Oregon or southern Oregon, this is a nice gateway airport to do so.
It is a very small airport. And the planes that leave there are very small. With difficulty you move in it.
Wasn't there long, first time in Oregon, looking forward to exploring, after COVID-19 is delt with. Beautiful airport, helpful staff, wheelchair accessibly, all things considered a great start on my adventure...
Eugene airport is a pleasure. Small, short lines, good connections, friendly staff are a few of the many reasons why I enjoy using the airport.
I lived in Eugene for 6 years. I would say flights out of Eugene airport leave on time about 30% of the time. They seem frequently understaffed. However, if you're willing to roll the dice, Eugene airport is more convenient than Portland for Eugene residents.
The airport is beautiful - clean and modern -- and small so that everything is close. The only issue I had is that the airport is not served by the local public transit system. That surprised me, given that Oregon is such a transit-friendly state.
This is a nice small, friendly fast airport. The restaurant is not bad, we got our food in good time for how busy they were. As typical for airport restaurants the prices were high and food was bland. Our waitress was great though.
Always easy to navigate as its a pretty small regional airport. Friendly staff and excessively overstaffed TSA keep things moving most days.
One restaurant on the main level that is open to the public and has a side behind the TSA check point.
Upstairs has a small meal area, a bar and kitchen (those two are connected) and one shop.
The shopping on the main level outside and the one upstairs both have nice Oregon gifts.
Overall a good airport to use and happy to see them add more options to allow travelers to avoid Portland.
Please open the economy parking and/or lower parking prices. The parking lot is already there. Just open it. If this is some covid shuttle thing, you can easily walk from economy to the terminal; I used to do that anyway.
I have flown a few times out of EUG instead of PDX as it is a bit closer and all times I have flown out of EUG, the TSA PreCheck isn t open so you have to take everything out, and I had to throw out my contact lens cleaner it won t go thru our machine . PDX is much easier as TSA PreCheck is always available.
Small and convenient, easy in, easy out. Close to town. No premium lounges, and just a small food stop/bar, but as airports go, about as good as you can hope for.
It's hard to say that the airport itself was good since it's just a place that houses airlines but it was clean it was small and I felt comfortable there.
I will comment that my son took a plane out from the Eugene airport to Seattle and then went to London from Seattle on Alaska airlines and, while I'm sure they may have done the same thing at a bigger airport, all I can say is that here at the Eugene airport the representatives were very helpful to my son and were able to put a note on his account to ask for help for him to get from one part of the airport to the other when he arrived at Seattle. My son has aspergers and he has never flown more than twice, alone, and especially not internationally.
The representatives for the airline would probably be living around here so therefore they had the Eugene type of compassionate attitude and the one lady in particular that put the note in the account was very kind, respectful and understanding. It made me very happy to have my son fly out of the Eugene airport rather than had to have driven him up to Portland.
Great smaller airport. Easy to return rental car, check in to flight and check baggage, and security was a breeze.
Had to drop off my gf and it made me sad leaving her
A nice, clean, little airport. Staff are friendly. Easier to check in for travel through Eugene than Portland.
Is there a reason why this airport is always so hot inside every time I come through? It s like a constant sauna of un-circulated air upstairs at each gate and in the cafe/bar area. I can t even enjoy my beer because this airport is so warm. Please fix this! Otherwise very smooth experience here if you weren t sweating just walking to your gate.
It is a small easy airport but TSA is terrible.... absolutely terrible. I travel a lot and these guys were the worst.
Nice little airport... Friendly people work there... Very clean
This airport is starting to rival PDX. What it lacks in number of flights outbound it makes up for in sheer convenience. The TSA folks are downright friendly (as long as you obey the laws) and in the last year or so they have become much more efficient at getting people through security. With direct flights as far away as LAX, ORD, DEN, SLC and PHX, you will soon be able to reach much of the USA with one connection. Parking seems to cost more than it should but if you live anywhere south of Salem you should consider EUG. Tickets might be a bit more expensive but not having to deal with Portland traffic might make the difference for you.
Pretty nice little airport for a "small town". It has expanded just enough for the city and is well updated. Decent number of flights direct or via Portland to anywhere in the world. Baggage can be a little slow, but certainly no worse than any major airport. Lovely pastoral setting too.
Small but very clean well run people are very friendly and helpful.
Small airport. Great for quick drop offs and picking up. The TSA line here was short and fast both of the times I came through here. The chairs have outlets and USB ports so you can charge your devices while waiting.
Love this airport... Small and everything easy to get to.
It was fast, easy to get through but they took my toothbrush, tiny travel size toothpaste, travel makeup brush, eyeline pencils, almost empty makeup tubes, hair brush, from my carryon. So weird to take approved items.
I was supposed to fly out of Eugene today and it was a total joke! I had three small children with me and not one person was helpful. The security line was out the door. Too small of an airport to handle multiple flights at the same time. There were three other people that missed the same flight as me. You would think that they would staff appropriately for a busy day! Super disappointing! If it was any other airport I would ve been on time. I ve flown many times with my children and never have had such a bad experience
I use this airport regularly. Nice little airport but the long term parking cost is more then places like denver. With no parking any where else that will shuttle I suppose they can but way to expensive for long term parking.
PARKING POLICE. Rude and lacking common sense. It s a pick up AND drop off zone. If I need to wait in my car for two minutes as my person is literally exiting the airport and walking towards me without being hassled and insulted that would be great. I m calling the eugene police and you re refusal to move your car MIND YOU I m sitting in my car with a 5 week old infant and I had not been parked for more than 30 seconds before being approached by this Parking police a-hole. It wasn t busy and some understanding would ve been appreciated as my person was literally walking towards my vehicle when I was being hassled to move or get fined. Get some different policies for this zone and some new employees.
Eugene airport is nice, clean, and the tsa, And boarding is pretty streamlined compared to other small airports. I prefer to fly out of Eugene as opposed to others that of similar size.
Easy access to rental cars, over all great airport.
Very impressed with safety/COVID-19 precautions, and Love the marvelous art that lines the walls upstairs. I was so very pleased to see such beautiful drawings from Perry Johnson, a man who I got to know almost 50 years ago. He is an accomplished artist, and I am so proud for him! Thank you for making room to showcase the creativity and inspiration of this local area!
The most respectful TSA agents I've ever encountered. Returning the rental car was a breeze. Airline agents were truly helpful. The airport was not crowded while I was there but that obviously changes seasonally. I couldn't find something I needed in the shop after passing through security so the clerk helped me look for it and then called the downstairs shop to check there. Thank you!Overall it's a clean and efficient airport.
Employees are so friendly and helpful. Super easy layout-
Great overview as well as hygiene, short waiting times and excellent order. The staff are both friendly, enthusiastic and helpful. A quick and safe flight is guaranteed here.
Airport staff and TSA agents are great BUT long-term parking rates are extremely high for an airport of this size and could they build the damn thing any further from town with so few hotels, shuttles, bus service, etc. Any further away and it would be called the Corvallis Airport !
i always liked flying out or back in to this airport, or picking up or dropping off people. there is very little traffic around the drop off and pick up area and it's easy to get out of. plus when you walk in the doors as far as i remember there is a restaurant where you can have a microbrew or get something to eat. i've never seen it busy, and it was relatively easy to check in and pleasant to get thru the security section. the restrooms are clean and close when you get off of the plane.
This airport is the perfect size and is quaint. Parking is easy, no lines for ticketing and best of all the employees are among the very best I have ever encountered at any airport. You can pretty much get anywhere from here.
Great small town airport. Not alot of facilities so far as restaurants shops etc. But the times I've been the staff there have always been very friendly, and getting through security is an easy process.
Quick and easy. A quieter, less busy Airport. Great views close to here in Coos Bay and Bandon Beach. Also a Beatrice yo The Red Woods in California. Huge, beautiful trees.
Maria the Sunday bar tender rocks. Tailwind is a good place to eat!!
Nice, clean, easy airport to get through - minimal wait time! The single post security food spot & bar are just fine, they boast friendly, attentive service, HOWEVER make sure you download your email before you arrive or bring your 4G HotSpot with you! The WiFi is TERRIBLE and almost never works no matter where you are in the terminal! I travel all over North America and am able to access WiFi without issue almost every where, the Eugene airport is the worst airport for WiFi service BEWARE! Apparently it is a known issue airport management does not feel the issue needs to be addressed - instead they claiming it works for those with newer computers - ridiculous!
Too many ducks. Ducks everywhere. Very clean and wide open. Friendly. Car rental is extremely fast. Construction all over.
It s shockingly small with one terminal and two concourses. There s not really anything to do other then one duty free shop and two eateries. Getting through security is almost always a breeze.
This used to be a fabulous airport. The restaurant was so good (prior to the "expansion") that we would drive out to the airport just to have breakfast or dinner. Now, the food concession on the main floor is just a North Carolina conglomerate that won the contract to operate a restaurant (stretching the use of the word!) and it is very mediocre. Also, upstairs, there used to be a fantastic series of "Flying People" photos by the famed photographer, David Joyce. The airport administration, against all appeals from Eugene citizens, opted to remove those photos, and now that corridor looks like something out of the old Soviet Union. Very bland and lifeless. Also, there used to be changing art exhibits in the landing above the escalators. That now is history, unfortunately, at the expense of flyers, who loved to see the local art displayed. The airport "expansion" and "remodeling" have ruined what used to be a wonderful, arty and welcoming airport. Now it is grade C- or maybe a D+
Very clean airport with very pleasant people that work there
Love this airport. It's small, easy to get to, clean, and they have a waiting area that is easily accessible. I prefer this airport to PDX whenever possible.
Just like family, show self discipline, best seltzer water, cordial vending machines, lol!
TSA has me remove my wrist brace supporting a sprained wrist AFTER I went thru screening so that they could fulfill a requirement that has not been required in any other airport that I have hast thru since my sprain. They didn t chemically test the guard, they simply ran it thru the baggage X-ray. I had already been thru the body scanner with it. WTH? That was painful unproductive and probably set me back a weeks healing time.
Otherwise my experience was fine.
I am thankful for this little airport. Fast service and quaint. Shorter lines make security more hectic and faster paced so be ready but once you survive that part its a great place to fly in and out of. I recommend it to all that want a more direct route to this part of Oregon. Parking is easy peasy to! Beats the heck out of PDX (Portland).
Nice, clean airport. Never crowded, doesn't take long to get through TSA.
This airport is so easy to get around! It doesn't have as many destinations as other airports but it's small size makes it impossible to get lost. There's no crowd either, so I've been able to get through TSA within ten minutes each time I've come through here. All the gates are in the same room and there's a small store to purchase last minute items before you fly out.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Even when things didn't go as planned they worked hard to make sure everything was good to go for travel.
I love flying to/from the Eugene Airport. It is a small airport and I've never encountered long lines at the desks or through security. The staff is always friendly and help get you (and your luggage) to your flight on time.
This is by far the worst experience I have ever had at an airport! My husband and I arrived to the airport for a departure to Houston on the morning of 09/24. One of the TSA body scanners was not working and there were over 100 people in line. They were taking each person one by one through the one scanner that was working and not in order of priority of flight departures. They were making zero accommodations for people whose flights were leaving in mere minutes. They finally said all active duty military personnel were free to proceed forward to the front of the line line, when a gentleman in front of us asked ''what about veterans'' the TSA agent made a smug remark of 'nope, sorry'. How is this any way to treat people let alone an issue that was the airport's fault?! When my husband and I finally made it through the check point, we had only 30 seconds before they closed our gate to make our flight. Sprinting to the gate that we were told was ours by a TSA agent (because our gate was not printed on our boarding passes) we were abruptly told by one of the gate agents it was a different gate downstairs. After sprinting yet again to our gate downstairs, it had already closed and we missed it by literally 2 minutes. The gate agent refused to let us through even though the entire ordeal of getting through security was the airport's fault and no communication was ever made that it was boarding. All the gate agent did was give me the number to customer service to reschedule our now missed flight. Horrible customer service and a horrible experience. I live in Eugene but will never flight out of this airport again.
What a joy it is to fly in & out of the Eugene Airport. Easy to pick up or drop off, clean airport with free wi-fi. Nice folks working in the airport, too.
Eugene Airport is a very small, but quite modern transportation structure. Unlike larger hubs the design is straightforward and the layout easy to grasp.
Worst airport in the nation. Worst most unhelpful rude service. I personally fly out of Portland every time it s worth the drive to avoid these people. Good luck.
They sold my flight to someone else, and I paid 600 dollars for this ticket home to my parents, FYI, IM UNDER 18
Nothing like a small airport...only have to arrive 1 hour early.
Overall an excellent airport. It is kept clean and tidy throughout, the signage is great, and the employees are very professional. My family and I had good experiences here when we went through it on our way to and from Hawaii. It's definitely a smaller airport, but that's almost a good thing because there isn't a crazy insane amount of people. Very good!
Whoever built this airport has no concept of critical thinking. After you enter the terminal you have to leave and pull a U turn in the middle of no where to get to the cell phone lot. Try a little bit harder or maybe you should have showed up to class in college where they talk about PLANNING.
