I went there in autumn 2017 with two of my adult children. It was a great discovery with an excellent French-speaking guide. The course of the day was perfect. Pick up at our place of residence, transport, with a stop to buy a pick nick. We had a pleasant walk, with explanatory stories and anecdotes from our very friendly guide. He was like a friend, while being a true professional. We were able to slide into a "slide" created by the volcano and walk underground. Safety equipment was provided. I, and my children too, have an unforgettable memory of this experience. The price-performance ratio is very good.

Going to the summit is highly recommended, you see so much more than where most tours end. Our guide was so passionate about volcanoes and informative. And the group was small. We also got engaged at the top :)

A must if you come to Sicily. We did the child-friendly Etna North (October) hike (for us 7 and 4) with Antonio. The bambini were delighted with this experience, especially the visit to the lava tunnel. Parents too. It was one of the highlights of the stay on the island. The hike is very pleasant and with the colors of autumn it is magnificent. Antonio is very friendly, welcoming, pedagogue, he takes the time to answer questions, and his French is ... impeccable! We hope to be able to return there one day to discover other excursions.

We did the trail hike with my sister in February 2020. We were delighted with this experience! Good upstream communication with Antonio, clear explanations, possibility of taking charge from Catania (paying but very useful when you are not in a vehicle), loan of equipment (free) etc. On D-Day we were a group of 8 supervised by 3 guides (French-speaking) and did our hike on the north slope (less touristy, and in the off season we met very few people). Very interesting explanations by passionate vulcanologist guides, attentive to the rhythm of each, we will keep fond memories. We climbed Etna at the end of February with Paolo and Antonio. Great experience thanks to Paolo's knowledge and passion in the field. It was impressive to hear Mama Etna scold a dozen times during the trek. The ascent is easy for an athlete and feasible but not without difficulty for a person who returned to sport before going to Sicily. The landscape above the clouds is incredible! Upstream we were very well guided by Antonio and we used their shoe and lending sticks. Little more: Antonio films the ascent and shares the souvenir video with us. Super team we recommend!

Is a unique experience to see the power of mother nature. Is around 60 euros per person to go to 3340 with a cable car and a 4x4 bus + 6 euro for car park/ day. If you are in good shape you can walk. We travel with 2 kids (2 and 5 years) and was very impressive for all of us. *tips: - wear hiking shoes - warm clothes - if you have car you don t need an agency to go.
