Usually have a great time here, but today I went for drinks and appetizers after work with friends and we were forced to sit at a crowded bar instead of being able to relax at a nearby table. We were told the tables are for customers who order food and that appetizers don't count. There were at least 20 open tables yet we had to squeeze into a tight space at the bar. Erin's should reconsider this new "rule" - especially during non peak dining times.

First off this is not an Irish pub. The only thing Irish about it is the flag in the doorway and some of the decor. Irish pubs are welcoming Fail. Irish Pubs usually if they don t have live Irish music play Irish music Fail. Irish Pubs make good Irish food (Oregano in a stew really?) Fail. Irish pubs have great atmosphere and craic especially at a weekend Fail. This is a restaurant that serves beer so if that s what your looking for you won t be disappointed but if it s an Irish pub you be looking for it s not here.

Atmosphere is great like a Irish Pub should be. Associates were very good and trained to take care of tge customer. Enjoyed a wonderful corn beef sandwich. Not to turn down dessert I really enjoyed a Old Fashion bread pudding wth a succulent brandy sauce. Definitely on my return restaurant list

Such a cute bar and awesome patio! Outside bartender was pretty nice but they let a patron play their own music the whole time. Came there to have a good night out with my husband and had to deal with a pretentious gentleman who wanted to repeat his depressing music. He became stubborn and didn t listen to any of the customers complaints. Even heard he was the owner!! So horrible! Lost our business, and such a shame since we live so close!

Really large and unique place. So many different nooks. Sitting by the fire place in Molly's room was a comforting touch. The Shepard pie was so good! Aromatic and really home cooked tasting. Would've been 5 stars, but a ton of tvs and the overall loudness of the pub vibe made it hard to hear and be focused. If I were to go back if try there pig mac and cheese. For the style of food and vibe, great choice!

We stopped at Erin's and I have to say the hamburger we ordered was possibly the worst I've had at a restaurant. I asked for Hamburger to be cooks medium and one half of the burger was rare and the other half well done. The bun was terrible; looked like it had been in a bag for a while and was thin and tasteless. The burger cost $8.99, we asked for fried onions (the menu stated onions were free) and we were charged 50 cents). Burgers were ala carte, and adding fries cost $2.49. We ordered "pub fries" and the fries served were pathetic; limp, extremely salty, just horrible. Our waitress (we ate at the bar) was friendly but she ignored us as soon as the food as served and did not check with us to ask how the food was for us. Had she done so I would have given her an earful. Prices at Erin's are just so high for an "Irish Pub' and based on the quality of the food and service we will not return to Erin's.

I love the decor! My girlfriends and I came here for our 27th get together. We had Haley for our waitress. She was wonderful. We had a great time. Thanks for the great experience . The beer and food was exceptional.

Good food, portions were just right to large. Large bar with several smaller rooms coming off that, so though the building is big the experience is cozy. Some music but not loud. Kind of a quiet atmosphere. I'd go back. Service is laid back, not a place to go if you're in a rush. But for a relaxed casual dinner with family and friends I'd s as y it's the right place. Kind of out of the way, you have to know it's there.

Beer selection is great. Food not so good got a over priced burger that was over cooked and dried out. The hosts were rude and on their cell phone when we came in. Our waitress was ignorant and didn't know what she was doing. I won't be back

Manager too busy to take our call.
Hopeless
Food was decent.
Feels like someone checked all the boxes but can't connect the dots. Execution.

Great food and environment. Make sure to try the Irish specialities. The food is excellent. Spoil yourselves with some scotch eggs too if you enjoy the taste of deviled eggs. Great for families and friends alike

Owner is so disrespectful hung up on me and talked so down on me- never giving anyone any sort of business that treats someone so poorly. She doesn't even know me!. Sorry to burst your bubble but you aren't better than everyone. I don't see this business going any where..

We have been coming here for over 5 years, less now than early on as the quality has declined and prices rising. Last trip -overpriced drinks; overcooked (well done) prime rib but the flavor was good; they forgot to bring a salad (it never came); pot o gold is literally sparse compared to previous; my cheese burger loving kid couldn't eat the one he was served; shepherd's pie was really dry. On the plus side there was no wait on a Saturday night for our group of 5 + 3 kids... I guess we should have known by that it was not going to be a good experience. This place started off years ago as great, still a little pricey but the quality was there, disappointing to see the decline.

Wonderful, attentive staff and a big food and drink menu. The French onion soup was amazing, and it has house-made battered and fried onions on top. The sweet potato fries were super crispy in a great way. We've loved the Shepherd's pie, Bangers and Mash, Philly cheese steak, and Chilli mac and cheese. One of our favorite local restaurants!

Beautiful restaurant, ambience was great. Our waitress was very good and knowledgeable of a large menu and knew the bar fare as well. Had a bowl of chili with "the works", very good. Ordered the fish and chips. Consists of 2, perfectly square shaped, breaded, chopped fish deep fried. For the price should have been actual fish fillets? That being said it was delicious with steak fries on the side. When in area will visit again.

Shepherd's pie was good. The Guinness stew was salty, beer was good. Our first time in Madison so my husband wanted corned beef, which they didn't have. We were not the only ones kind of confused when we arrived, do we seat ourselves, do we wait? If we go again, we will go directly to the bar because I'm not a fan of rude servers and the people behind the bar were friendlier and actually smiled.

I have lived in Ireland four years and visited many restaurants and pubs. I knew exactly what I was looking for in a Irish Pub experience and Erin s Snug delivered on nearly all counts. First the need for relaxing dark wood interior atmosphere was satisfied at our booth. Second the essential Guinness draught was well poured and brought to the table still in the nitrogen surge . Lastly the corned beef was tender, salty and perfectly presented, in a decent portion. A hearty congrats to Kevin the GM for all his work, can t wait to come back and hopefully for some live music!
(To note: Obviously, this pub is an Americanized version of the Irish original much larger and amply spaced. But the different alcoves do well to provide for that intimate Irish conversation space)

Great local restaurant and bar with an old Irish atmosphere. Friendly people, good food and drinks and only a few TV screens for those who would rather converse than watch the game of the day.

I always enjoy this place. It's a little bit thinned out indoors for covid. The patio has reopened for the 2021 season so take advantage of the nicer days and sit outside. They have a fire pit to help when it's chilly

Just went in to have a nice lunch with my family sat for over 35 mins with out ever getting so much as a hello from a waitress. We got up put jackets on and walked out no one even noticed. Also the restaurant is completely dead and everyone is standing around at bar. First time and last time in the Irish pub.

We had a large group with several kids. We called ahead and we were seated right away. The waitress made remarks about all the kids, and seemed irritated. I ordered a salad for $14 and it so small that it became a joke for the rest of the weekend. Then the gratuity was added automatically (the sign said it would be for groups of 20 or more) and several people left tips on top of that because they didn't notice and no one told them. Would not recommend for families.
