Great place for Irish good and drinks. Very cozy atmosphere and the staff have already been very good. Highly recommend.
Great place for Irish good and drinks. Very cozy atmosphere and the staff have already been very good. Highly recommend.
Food has always been good and atmosphere is very enjoyable.
Good food and atmosphere. Always enjoy visiting this place for food or just drinks.
One of the must places to go when in Madison! Great food and atmosphere!!
Excellent Food!!! Fish and chips ... Lightly battered and crispy. Not greasy. Sweet potato fries are also slighty crispy and delish. The beer goes without saying!!!
Happen to be traveling for 2 weeks and at a nearby business and this is so convenient to the hotel / business. After a hard day it was initially just a convenient spot to go to and by now I would normally have moved on. BUT this place is GREAT: good beer selection and the food has been consistently brilliant - and I have gone through quite a bit of the menu - still a varied selection to go!
I always sit at the bar and all the staff are very friendly. I was chatting with the bar person and mentioned it was my birthday (away from home - sucks!), but he immediately took my tab and knocked off the price of my last drink.
Nice touch and good customer service - and remember the food is very, very good. ... includes some authentic Irish food, which I well recognize from that part of the world (being a Brit!).
If you are near here, go visit you will not be disappointed. (I have no affiliations to this pub - I live in Arizona)
Great food great service every single time I have eaten here. Love it.
Been there several times, but not on St. Patrick's day. Was going to have the corned beef and cabbage. Got on the waiting list ( told 30-60 minutes). Waited. After 45 minutes was told it still would be 30-60 minutes. Went to Esquire Club. Waited 15 minutes there. Ordered our food and then finally received a call that a table was available at Erin's Snug (an hour and 45 minutes).
Love it the food the service the atmosphere! No matter what mood your in when you walk in you will walk out smiling. I would say they owe a lot to the attentive service those girls are great not too much not too little.
Great Irish dishes, but still has something for everyone. Pub atmosphere.
Outstanding!
The food, the service, everything!
Food and beer and atmosphere where good, menus a bit stale. Has a lot of Irish feel to it's looks, music and beer choice. Really nice patio outside.
Yep, pretty snug, despite being large. Instead of calling it "Snug Pub" we accidently called it "Snug Pug". Silly, but the name stuck..."Snug Pug".
A favorite place of mine, friendly staff and great food.
Great interior. Plenty of tv's for sports. Staff is friendly. Food menu is fantastic. Beer selection is solid.
Like the atmosphere but having the same song on a loop for the hour we were there even after mentioning it twice , coupled with inattentive bartenders was torture.
Very pleasant atmosphere and decor. Good selection of Irish and American food, with half sandwiches and different burger sizes available. Attentive service.
Always love their food but apparently, as an employee, it's good customer service to complain about "how hard" the customer made their job by splitting a bill three ways. One of the waitresses had a hissy fit and made sure that i knew she wasn't happy about it. I'm not one to complain too easy but that was just unprofessional and ridiculous.
I visit this great restaurant a lot! This is my favorite restaurant to have a bite. I visit this spot regularly. The meals are very tasty, the crew is welcoming and the payment is good. I like meeting in this place to have a good supper.
Great place. Very big. Nice looking. Good selection of beer and whiskey.
I would have thought there would be more Irish dishes on the menu. But what they had was good.
Cheap grub with large portions. Lots of options on the menu. Our food came out fast and the service was great. Better than expected.
Very good food for the prices that they are at. The service is super fast and really nice. Food didnt take long at all. They have a VERY nice selection of both food and drinks. I highly recommend it for any time of the day, or for any occasion.
Exceptional and delightful food, I like the atmosphere the place has, and the cashiers were welcoming. I will surely come back again.
*if I could rate 3 1/2 stars, I would* (I rounded down in hopes they would be more likely to read it)
Pros: Great craft beer!
Price: $$$ (out of $$$$) -based on pub/bar places
We were seated quickly, but took a bit to be waited on. We waited over 25 minutes for our food after we ordered. It was a Saturday evening, around 6pm.
Not too busy.
We both ordered burgers. They were good. Not the best I've had, but good!
Husband loved the beer. Great craft beer selection!
Fries tasted like they had been frozen. And for the $0.75 addition for sauerkraut on the burger, it wasn't a lot. And it is not made in house (we asked).
Not convinced to go back again.
Slow service, strange tap list. Local brews are difficult to decipher
Tasty and fast....give me the recipe for Cottage Pie please!
Walked in at 9:25 and was ignored by the bar tender until 9:32 pm. Of course, the hot women got plenty of attention from the arrogant prick. When I asked for a menu, I was told the kitchen closed at 9:30! He smugly said, "it's on our web site." I checked. It is not. Only that they are open until 10:00 pm. So now, I have to find some place open at this hour, after walking back to my hotel. When I am back in the area, I will NOT be spending one cent in this faux Irish pub.
First visit while visiting at UWMC, great food and great ambiance. I was in the UK this summer and brought back fond memories
The Irish stew were pretty tasty. Keep up the good work.
Amazing prime rib special and super quick service! Super reasonably priced. We will be back for sure!
Great service and a perfect chicken ceasar wrap!! Wish it would have included fries but that's okay!
Have been here before on busier nights and had a great experience. Tonight we went in and sat at the bar. 15 minutes we sat there with no one acknowledging us. Others were waited on for refills and walk ups, as we sat and watched. Extremely rude and disappointing.
Fun place to go and pretend your Irish. (Just Kidding). They treat corned beef right and the unique architecture makes it interesting place to visit.
Menu choices need improvement and prices are too high.
Very cute restaurant. I felt I was in Ireland. The food was really good and the employees were very pleasant.
Inside and out great building. Great prime rib and Reuben sandwich. Wide range of beers on tap.
Authentic sausages and really good corned beef. Fun decor. Great place to have lunch.
Cozy and comfortable with awesome beer selection. Fast, courteous staff with very good food.
Update 5-4-18. Still great food, great service. If you like Irish anything, you won't find anything closer in the Madison area.
WAY overpriced! Decent service. But $16 for ground beef, gravy, and mashed potatoes "Sheppards Pie" is laughable. I'd rather get a pot pie from KFC
This place has the best corned beef I ve ever had in my life. Excellent service to boot. This will be my new favorite place when I m in town.
Amazing bartender who answered questions, gave us a sample and a smile and took such great care of us. Amazing food
Good was good, service was horribly slow. We have to wait forever for drinks and refills. And when dinner finally came, it had obviously been sitting out for a while. Much of it was luke warm. The waitress never came back to check on us after dropping it off. It took a long time for her to get the check out.
I wish I could give this place even more than 5 stars. The owner is a real stand up honest man who actually cares. He cares about his employees, his customers, and his establishment.
The employees are absolutely amazing and care about their job, and the people that they re serving.
The food is always great, the atmosphere is always lovely.
It s such a nice kick back vibe.
I have never in my life been more happy with an environment. It feels like home.
I will personally square up with anyone who disagrees in the nearest LensCrafters parking lot between 7-10am or 3-6pm depending upon the day. Schedule a time slot ahead.
Always terrible service at the bar. Seems like they don't care that you're there. Tried to come here a few times and same service each time. It's disappointing.
Food just OK, had to ask to get waited on after sitting at the table for 25 minutes.
Awesome Service and Food. We'll be back on our next trip to Wisconsin!
I love Erin's! The atmosphere and the menu are amazing. In the summer, their patio is awesome. Located not far from East Towne Mall in Madison, it is just a short drive from the mall and offers an excellent alternative to the traditional chain-style mall restaurants. As you would expect, they have a traditional Irish menu selection, but also very good traditional American options as well (burgers, fries, etc.). Everything I've ever had off their menu has been excellent. With an excellent drink and beer selection, It's a great place to go for a happy hour/dinner meal but also is an excellent choice for a business lunch meeting. You can't go wrong and it's one of the best options you have on Madison's east side.
First time here, had a very good rueben wrap and cup of French onion soup. Excellent service and a wide selection of beer. The only negative was my sweet potato fries could have been done a little more. Will definitely return.
Love this place, great food, great atmosphere, friendly staff. Fish fry is to die for. Ignore the poor reviews, everyone is too sensitive, get over yourself. Note the review left by Tia Ekern. "I would give 3.5 stars if I could but I rounded down" We don't truncate in this country, go home commie
Only thing not worth getting here is the Friday fish
Love the patio area, the food was awesome and staff was great! Will definitely be back!
Horrible service! Won't be back! Just ate lunch there. We were seated immediately but then it took the waitress a good 15-20 mins to come and introduce her. Told her we were ready to order as I was on my lunch hour and she told me I shouldn't have come to a sit down restaurant with only a hour lunch! This place is surrounded by businesses!!!!
Ordered our food. Took about 30 mins to get it and it was a pretty slow time. Order was wrong. Got a sandwich instead of a wrap and my dad's hamburger was luke warm. Mentioned it to the waitress and she commented that "we would've made you another but clearly you didn't have a problem eating the one we gave you" (he only had about 1/4 of the burger eaten). Rude! From that point on she clearly didn't want to wait on us anymore. Very slow to bring the check, etc.
Not a good experience! Food was not good and the service was even worse! We definitely will not be back!
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Very attentive service, willing to make any substitution. Wilm return.
We couldn't order a Rachael on St. Patrick's Day weekend. Huh!? And they wouldn't even substitute Turkey for Corned Beef on a Rueben. We were one of two couples in the dining room. Crazy terrible hospitality.
I went here for lunch and was happy to see it's not all heavy dishes. They've got great specials and lighter fare as well! Highly recommend stopping in for a quick lunch and a pint. I had some great fish tacos (was a special) which I didn't expect at an Irish themed pub.
We stopped in at Erins for the first time last year and were WOWd by the food!! I had the smothered fried chicken and OMG it is the best dish I've EVER had outside of anything homemade. Went back for it this past August and it was just as great as I remembered definitely recommend this place. The decor is very nice, and the outdoor seating is peaceful.
Can't give it a star (unfortunately one, since zero is NOT an option) since we never had any service. Too busy!!
This was a huge place with many separate dining rooms for individual parties. The waitress was great and she suggested food on the menu. Service was great food was great an very filling.
Worst experience ever. Waited 15 minutes before asking for the server to greet us. When we asked a passing server about our server we were told our server was busy but she would help get us started. This server got us our drinks and took our order. The we watched the Owner/Manager drunkenly with beer in hand sing happy birthday with the servers to a guest. Finally after 30 plus minutes another server comes up grabs my wife s empty soda glass and runs off without saying a word. When she came back to drop off the soda I had to stop her and ask for another beer??? What server would not want to increase their check with another purchase. After she dropped off my beer she introduced herself as our server and to let her know if we needed anything??? Where were you at the start? The food was ok only issue was my Mahi Mahi was dry but everything was hot. I ve had much better experiences here in the past, but probably won t go back for a while to many other options to spend my money on to risk a poor service here again.
Had the Bacon Cheeseburger. The hamburger and bacon was excellent! Extremely flavorful and prepared masterfully.
The bun...sucked. Zero flavor, dry with a grainy texture.
The red onion was fresh and sliced to a perfect width so as to compliment the make up of the stack presented.
The fries...sucked. Doughy in texture, too large to be fried properly and tasted as if pulled from the freezer section of a gas station convenience store.
Bottomline...had this burger been served with a edible bun it would have been one of the best burgers I ve ever had.
Food is pretty delicious, the menu is huge (a bit overwhelming) and the prices are a little on the higher end. Great place that has a lot of different options for a vast group of people. I ve had the French onion soup (pictured) which isn t the best I ve had but it s edible, a burger, and the salmon. The salmon was the best.
Pretty good variety of foods; never had a problem with any. Myself friends and family have been there many times and sampled across the menu. The Irish specialties are spot on and a good value. Their fish fry on Friday is very good with a light batter on the fish and colcannon mashed potatoes is my go-to meal.
Beer selection is always good (as any Irish pub should be). From the usual Irish fare (Guinness, Harp, Bass and Smithwicks) to some local beers form New Glarus and Leinenkugels ensure a wide selection. I am not much for wine, but they have a long list of bottles available.
Reuben was outstanding, coffee was the best I have had in a restaurant. Easy on and off of I94.
