Best Sheriff in all of Ohio! Excellent Sheriff's Deputies! Not sure what the jail is like though.

This evening I was involved in a car accident. The sheriff s office, North Central EMS, and the local Fire crew all responded. They all were outstanding and very professional. I want to thank the Erie County Sheriffs Department especially for helping me deal with this situation. God bless you all and thanks for all you do!

I was trying to get my ccw through erie county, after an hour drive to the station i found out that their fingerprint scanner was down. Could have avoided the drive if they would ever answer their phone. It worked out in the end because i went over to the huron county sheriffs office and left with myy CCW that day.

Omg....they treart women in there worse then men...they say not enough staff bed at 7pm to 7am..the to busy talking to one anther eating...they food is trash....

Now here is a Sheriff Department that really looks out for the welfare, safty, and security of the residents of Erie County.
No matter if your intoxicated, having domestic problems, or forgot to take your daily medications, when called, this fine department will send out a highly trained, friendly professional to try and help you cope with life, or maybe even give you a chauffeured ride in a custom county limousine straight to the Erie County Resort.
While at the resort you'll come in contact with many more highly trained professionals. You may be offered lounge wear including a one piece romper and comfortable slippers. Then if you need, there's meditation rooms for spiritual and mental awareness, or just a nap.
If needed, even free medical assistance is offered. And depending on what time you check in, or if staying for an extended visit, you're given at no charge, the highest quality gourmet food available.
All this and more for just being you.

I have used the sheriffs office and their officers twice in the last two weeks. There were no emergencies and they responded extremely well the dispatcher was very polite and the officers when they arrive did their job stayed with me while I change the tire and help me lift my motorcycle. Small tasks but extremely important to me
