Entertainment Overload Review

I personally cannot get enough of this store, it not only brought me back to my childhood but it did it a lot cheaper then most would have assumed, well worth the trip, have my own discount card.

Love this place. Always same people i deal with. Great staff great advice. Dean is doing a great take over job. Keep up the great work guys and low prices. My kids love going here

This is my go to video game store for trades. They always give more then EB games, and they will take certain toys (funkos). Been going here for years, the new owners are doing an excellent job. Wish the old owner left the transformer book ends, miss trying to buy those.

Incredibly friendly staff! The woman that helped me was helpful and made sure I knew what I was getting for my trades and put no pressure to sell! I would recommend this store to anyone!

This place recently changed ownership, and I'm liking the new store so far. The inventory seems much better (there's plenty of imports and rare games), and they've broadened their focus into other items like comics, manga, and toys. They no longer have the 3 for $11 or 3 or $14 deals, but the prices are still rather fair, and those deals only ever saved you $1 anyways.

They also seem to have collectors in mind more than before, as they've done away with the impossible to remove stickers and writing with marker on the cases. They even go out of their way to place only part of the price tag on some of the more delicate items, so that removing them doesn't cause damage.

However, there are 2 changes they've made that I might suggest reverting back to the old way of doing things. The first is keeping the games out of the cases. Using the example of Value Village, people will steal the discs out of games marked at $4 all the time, so I can't see how they feel comfortable with people having access to any game marked under $20. I wouldn't want to see them losing money in this way, and I also wouldn't want to miss out on buying some really good games that aren't easy to stock.

The second thing is that the games are no longer in alphabetical order. This may be time consuming, but I would at least like to suggest turning the games on their side so that names can be read right on the spines. The way they currently sit on the shelf forces you to flip through each game, which can sometimes be a huge waste of time.

Overall, I look forward to visiting the store more often than I did before. It would be sad to see us lose another retro store, after Super 1Up Games closed down.

Do your homework before buying anything here. I bought something after asking questions, and ended up wasting my money on something I'll never be able to use because they dont know their product.

These guys are great. Only gamers that know their stuff work here. Very friendly, know how to joke around, work appropriate of course! Great selection and great prices! Lots of classic games, systems and lots of special edition games. Great selection of books, movies and some collectables too. Definitely recommend this place.

Good quality games, they're a little cheap when it comes to buying games but you'll get more from them than gamestop. I personally called several times while they were open and they did not answer.

Horrible store The staff never said hi or even asked if i needed any help. They were all talking behind the counter being loud and not paying attention to anyone shopping in the store. Will defently not be returning.

I love this store cheap games good hardware eb/gamestop won't be getting any of my money anymore buying is good selling not so good but great store still and they do give you cash back if you are selling unlike eb games store credit

This store used to be my go to spot for used games and tv series. It seems to have gone downhill. The staff isn't friendly and never smiles. The prices aren't as cheap as they once were.

i went in there and ask if they had a game in stock, they said they did but in one of the other locations, so i ask if they could get it into their location tehy said sure no prob, the locations are what 2 hours apart? anyhow they made me pay the whole amount for the game and they said it should come in "next week" it didnt come the "next week" they say it would and even when i called to check on it they were getting angry at me for asking if the game came in. i finally got it but it took close to 2 weeks for it to come to their location, they should definetly have better costmer sevice, i have ordered stuff from other places and they mail it to your place for free and in 2-3 business days. This store is just bad for costumer service.

Hey if u can avoid this place i would bc prices r too high u can buy the same game there used u can buy the same game at walmart brand new and the service is rude so if can avoide it do it

I was really shocked at how good the quality and price of the games were! Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes for Gamecube $22! Thats an insanely good deal. $8 for Resident Evil 4, $8! Best prices for games in all of Hamilton.

Great place for used games from all generations, movies, vinyls, and great customer service.

Staff is great and helpful. Selection is hit or miss but with me not being picky, it's always a hit!

Amazing place. Cheap and guaranteed with fair prices unlike EB Games selling used games for $5 less than a new copy. Place is going under new management and super excited for that. Great selection, just sometimes out of stock but you can t expect a store to be stocked up constantly... it s not a warehouse lol. Great store and amazing staff.

Found this little gem of a store while looking for a rare PS2 game. While at first glance it may seem similar to other new/used stores, a more thorough browse reveals quite a few good deals such as 2 for $10, 2 for $7, 3 for $5. While the store can get busy at times, I have found the staff to always be both helpful and jovial. Store associates Bree and Justice have always created a relaxed environment and by the second visit were addressing me on a first name basis. They buy games and vinyl and pay cash but will give you half of the market value so be sure to do your research before bringing in your items.

Not a bad place to buy from more reasonable prices under the new management. However tend to be low on what the pay when compared to other buy and sells in the area

Easily my favorite place to purchase games. The prices are great, the staff is cool. There's always good music going on. I mean where else can you get any game for any system for mega cheap prices while "She" by The Misfits plays over the p.a? No where. That's where. 5 stars aren't enough for this place.

Since I've moved to Hamilton 8 years ago I have had nothing but excellent customer service as well as game and console and accessory availability cheaper than anywhere else with the highest selection offerable. Thank you so much entertainment overload. The staff is very helpful & friendly along with great up keep & most importantly impressive is how they stay rite up 2 date with the new generation if things. As always the place is clean, as per each time I, as well as my friends, family & Associates have ventured into the amazing ever so popular business!!(OF course all my above mentioned ppl have been energetically, not 2 mention really given much of a choice otherwise, lol, referred to go 2 entertainment Overload & nowhere else LOL, by me for ANNY of their consoles, games & accessories 4 any type of gaming needs, requirements, or jus plain wants, Especially if friendliness is whats wanted by the costumer which is obviously what's expected, then rest assure that's their Forte everyday that ends In Y !!!

The store is under new ownership but still a great place to shop, the only reason I did not give this 5 stars is due to the fact they no longer have brand new products but aside from this the staff is friendly and helpful and still a great place to find retro and newer gaming entertainment.

Lots of stock but the employee behind the counter was very rude and condesecending when I asked a question. Prices were okay. Won t be back, other places in town with much friendlier staff and similar prices.
