The restaurant is very lovely and so is the staff. Unfortunately with my meal i was not satisfied cause it was small for a person, so I left hungry. I had the catch of the day, but as you can see on the photo there was barely any fish on the plate (the white squares) so I felt, like I have ordered a vegan meal.

Our 3 course wine package menu was impeccable. Clean and good flavors throughout the experience, and a main course that finally saturated. Had "A taste of Northern Norway" as an appetizer that had so much good to More

Proff and nice lefefiskservering. Ready to keep the quality up despite severe pressure. Also kudos to the staff who are gentle and kind in total the drive. The price is stiff for a plate of cod ++, but it's once a year, so we strive for the 25th anniversary of our team.

Very poor service: we sat there for over an hour with empty wine glasses and couldn't get hold of a waitress. The food was put on the table without a single word, no explanation of what was served.

Great service really friendly staff, yes it is a bit pricey but the menu was delicious and had a range of typical dishes. It's worth going if you're in Oslo. It's the oldest restaurant here.

Over the course of 2 hours, we received 3 savory strands of stick meat. Steer clear, this was sad. $ 95, not worth it.

Wonderful retro style restaurant, one of the oldest in orslo, beautiful atmosphere and very kind staff, we had a dinner based on specialties from northern norway. While waiting (short) for the courses, they offered us slices of bread (excellent), some sheets of bread (very thin crackers) accompanied by butter and a bowl with a red sauce, I think based on tomato. All very good, delicious reindeer with mushrooms and potatoes! 100% recommended!

Following my dissertation defence, we had the celebratory dinner at Engebret Cafe. They did an absolutely fantastic job. The food was perfect. They picked a good wine. the service was outstanding. their private room was great for giving speeches and taking pictures in addition to dining. After a very stressful day, it was so nice to have everything taken care of. I honestly could not have been happier.
