A lot of fun but suffers from everything you d expect. Long lines. Overcrowded. Ridiculously expensive. Terrible food. Lockers are expensive and teeny. Lifeguards are very diligent though. Kids enjoy the rides. What else would you expect?

Food was ridiculously over priced, $37 for a large pepperoni pizza, and we had items stolen from us. Staff looked as though they'd rather be anywhere else than at work. Not very customer friendly!! My family will not be returning, we will travel further from home for a better experience elsewhere.
Lots of fun, leaves a lot to be desired though. Me and my family came here for the first time ever and we really liked the water rides (though limited in number), they were well cared for and the park was clean. We quickly got hungry and that is where the problem occurred. The prices for food are higher than prices at carrowinds, hershey, and kings dominion. I am also very conscious of what I put in my body and don't expect a place like this to have a sit down restaurant with kale salads but I do expect to be able to buy an apple if I'm hungry....nope. There was not 1 healthy meal option at this park. A frozen chocolate dipped banana was $10 (bananas are 50 cents), a pizza and 4 drinks is close to $40 here, a bag of chips with nacho sauce squirted in it is $6...etc. I now know to bring my own food the next time I go but I was exceptionally disappointed in their food selection (a hot dog was $8), or lack thereof.
I got a concussion on 1 of the rides. The life guards werent paying serention to the bratty ill-mannered kids who werent following the rules n were blocking off then path of the lazy river. The fiod was priced ungodly hi, and the cheapest drink was a canned 16 oz of $4! I will not be going back again! I was misrerable the whole 2 hours i stayed there!
The rides were good the only thing that suck is their food prices are insane 3.19 for a bottle of water. The lifeguards acted like drill sergeants they suck, and they are rude! people are better off packing their own food.
Tried to go on the dragon waited in line for 45 minutes just to find out it was temporarily closed and would open again in about an hour. Went back waited another hour in line and again it was closed. Why is it they don't tell you this ahead of time wasted two hours in line and could have gone on a different ride. Then they closed the wave pool and the pirate ship at the same time again. They don't communicate with the people that spend there money there they just look at you like its no big deal. I live in the area and purchased 10 season passes last year. I will not do it thia year ill take my money to the pool and get a season pass there.
Such a great place for family fun! It's large and theres something for every to enjoy (even the very little ones)! Food and drinks are pricy in the park so pack a lunch!
I've been to wet and wild 3 times and every time I have gone it's been amazing. I've never had an issue with anything. Food is a little pricey but we eat before we go there and then grab dinner after we leave. Lines for the rides aren't bad at all, rides are all fun. I LOVE going. I suggest eating before you drive there, bringing some money for a drink or two while your there and then eating when you leave. We are actually planning a trip here this weekend!
The park has went way down hill. I lost both my son and my season pass going down a slide because it knocked my pocket open and they would not replace them unless we paid a 25.00 each replacement fee. What happened to the 2.00 it used to be to print a new one? I also can't believe how expensive the parking permit is $40.00. And the daily parking rate too $15.00. Most of the lot isn't even paved. It's a giant open field of gravel. The old GM of the park who has been working there forever rocking the spray tan and walks around with a big smirk on his face and grumpy look needs to lighten up smile a little. I saw him at least 20 times over the summer and he was always giving people evil looks. The park also closes earlier than I remember. The good rides all shut down an hour earlier than the pools as well. Just not the same Emerald Pointe as we were once used to.
Got season passes. Get them early so only $50. Go as much as we want. Parking /entrance is $10, which is way to much, ehen i bought my passes was given coupons, but told at entrance gate 3 different time we couldnt use them because computer wouldnt accept them. We do love this park though. We drive down from WVa 2x a month.
First thing you will see is front parking is reserved now for extra extra fee. You have either parking pass or pay to park at gate but you still cannot park here with out paying extra. Pretty greedy I think. The next thing you will see is right up front at tables on side walk. In order to force people to pay for storage and use the tables inside the wall they have resorted to removing the umbrella shades from the outside tables. Really I mean REALLY what kinda of dirty greedy people are running this. I will not be paying $5-$10 to store a cooler so I can eat with a umbrella. They should be ashamed. Outside of that the parks fun.
Visited once.. good place for fun water rides.. can visit with family n friends.. der multiple restaurants for eating.. parking is $10.. entrance I am not sure, I took a season pass in Costco - $45 per head -u get 1 free bottle n refill option with d pass great fun.
I will forever love wet n wild! I'm still dissapointed the parking fee has gone up when obviously they have plenty of customers. I think there should be a family package plan and maybe youd get more season passes. Then I'd stop arguing about the price. Other than that the park is good. Lines are too long sometimes but better to go on a weekday.
As long as your kids like swimming and are over 45 inches tall, you will have a fabulous time! I took my rising first grader, preschooler, and infant and we easily could have stayed all day with the variety of pools and activities.
Been there 3 times in the past 2 years and love it! The lines are fairly short if you go the right days. I overall love the park ride-wise. All the rides are extremely fun and give me a good rush. The wave pool is fun as well. my friend and I timed it and found they send a wave every minute. Wouldn't recommend going in the lazy river unless you really want to chill. It is very slow and not very fun for thrill seekers like me but very enjoyable if you want to relax. The only issue I had at the perk was with the food. It is fairly overpriced for a theme park. We got food from a place there the first time we went but decided it wasn't worth it, so we started taking sandwiches in the parking lot. Not ideal but didnt effect our experience. All in all it was a fun family vacation and we hope to return.
Decent water park, but be prepared to spend hours trying to leave if they close for a storm.
Worse than any major venue I ve ever been too, absolutely no traffic management and only one way out for hundreds of cars. Easily more than 2 hours to just get out of the parking lot. Completely unacceptable.
This is our 4th year with season passes, and we absolutely love it. Main drawbacks are height restrictions (not much for my 6 year old to do because of his height, and his pass costs the same amount as everyone elses), high price of food (just bring your own and leave it in the car), and parking. When we first started getting passes, the entire parking lot was available to you. Then they decided to make half the parking lot VIP parking. That's not included in the parking pass for the whole summer, unless you want to pay extra. Other than that, go on a weekday you can.
A really good water park with a lot of different slides it was hard to get to all of them in one day. The only disappointing thing was that the wave pool only creates one wave like every 5 or 10 minutes. Kind of makes for a boring wave pool.
We decided to take a chance and go on a day that called for scattered thunderstorms (as is normal in NC in the summertime). We loaded the three kids up and made the trip to Greensboro. They closed the park 3 times that day (for approx 30 mins - 45 mins each time) due to thunder. Each time we got almost to the top of the line we were in, it would thunder and we had to go back down. I get that. So, after the third time, we decided to leave. We had each rode one slide and had been there 5 hours and had spent $50 on food. So, i sent the kids and husband back to the car (as they were miserably hot and tired of standing in lines) while i waited in another very long line for "rain checks". I had all 5 tickets in my hand with the date on them. They told me all the people in my party had to be with me to get my rain checks. (that was NOT written on my tickets) I explained that i had sent everyone to the car, they had waited long enough throughout the day. They told me to go talk to customer service and from that point forward they ignored me. I went over to the customer service office and there was another very long line. I had enough by this point and just went back to the car. I don't make a whole lot of $ and i had saved up for this trip. Between gas, food at the park and tickets, i spent approx. $200. I would have been perfectly happy w/ 5 rain checks. I feel like i totally wasted my money and was taken advantage of. I will not go again.
The wet n wild STAFF are Nice whoever the lifeguards are NOT!!!!I witnessed a lifeguard push a child out of line and yell at the child then the same lifeguard yelled at a parent I was thanking GOD it ant happen to my child because I would have drowned that lifeguard ...78 percent of the people there ARE CHILDREN SO YOU HAVE TO BE NICE AND SUPER FRIENDLY TO THE KIDS!!!!!!! I did make a complaint even tho the child was not mine....
Brought my 2yo and 4.5yo. They had a blast. Lots of places for the kids to play. There was even. A waterside with double tubes for them! My husband and I never got a chance to ride any of the bigger rides and we still had a great time. Buy your tickets online for cheaper entry.
Very disappointed. The staff was rude and unhelpful. On multiple rides the staff was not helping guests including us on when to slide or when needing help getting out of the floats. I went to the guest services for help the girl was flirting with a male staff member and said they aren't allowed to call people over the intercom except in the hour. We have been years ago but this visit wasn't as enjoyable.
Kids pool is Absolutely filthy. Paint chipping off everything. I had to ask 3 people before anyone even pretended that they would find someone to replace the paper towels at The Diaper Changing Area!!!! It's the one main place that I'm sure people would like to be able to wash their hands!!! Preteens run around in droves without any supervision, and no one from the park says anything to them. The bathrooms are Completely Unhygienic no one is cleaning them throughout the day, what I saw turned my stomach. This park is raking in the cash from ticket sales to parking and overpriced food. One slice of pizza and one drink $12.00. A whole pizza was advertised as $40.00. While these prices are the usual prices for parks similar to this this one is just so disgusting and dirty. With Rampant damage to everything including fences and ropes placed to keep kids out of areas. This place needs a serious overhaul on it's management and they most definitely need to have a new system in place for keeping this place clean. And the kiddie pool needs someone devoted to making sure kids aren't able to reach down everywhere and pick up, pieces of plastic bags, small rubber bands, dead bugs, paint chips and anything else from the time they open until the time they close. Because obviously the filters in place are not sufficient to keep the pool anywhere near clean.
