an okay place to go if you have nothing better to do and have some extra cash that you can afford to spend. It can be fun but the only thing , as with any type of theme park, is that it is usually over crowded. It actually seems like there are too many people there!!! I think there should be a limit of the amount of people who can go there each day. This would help to establish some order and discipline in the park, and to cut back on the chaos caused by the over population. not only that, but more importantly it would cut back on the horrible line waits. each ride probably has a wait of at least 30 minutes.

I booked a birthday party. To say the least I could have saved my money. We waited almost 40 minutes before anyone came to serve us, the pizza box had another child's name on it, The cupcakes were purchased from Food Lion and brought to us 30 minutes after the pizza, we waited almost an hour for drinks, so I had to purchase drink for the kids while we waited. I would not suggest visiting or booking a party. I tried to resolve the issue while I was there and no one ever came to discuss the level of unprofessionalism. I've never had an experience like this before regarding parties..It was embarassing to have my child's party so unorganized. I invited 21 family members to celebrate with us and it was the absolute worse. I was promised someone would come speak with me and they never did. I will take my hard earned money to Great Wolfe Lodge, their staff is on time and they offer exactly what they promote, a real party package. All of your items are served at one time.

***I tried to respond to your message. However, I have not received a refund. Maybe there has been some miscommunication. ***

My husband and I went to the park to reminisce our meeting there in the 80's. The park had changed quite a bit. The Lazy River was still there and we enjoyed lounging and floating around. We were surprised that it cost to park now, we also inquired about getting a cabana and that was quite pricey. They had a lot of new rides and it was overall a very fun trip for us both. There were lots of families out enjoying a day filled with fun and sun. We would definitely go back again.

Go ahead buy a season pass if you are going more than 1 day. You are able to apply your admission as credit towards a season pass. There are rides for everyone from adults to kids. There is a nice play area for infants and toddlers with a large shallow pool.
Parking is $10. There are no other options for parking right outside the park since the water park has a high fence around it. You can save a lot of $$ if you bring a cooler of food and drinks. You can not bring outside food or drinks into the water park but they do have shaded picnic tables that are right beside the entrance. Their food is not very good and it is expensive. It is a great time for the whole family.

It's way to expensive. But hey I was willing to spend the money . Got tickets with meal deal online . First off the lines to ride anything are at least 35 minutes . Asked a life guard a question about pool. Was told " I don't know . Go away." I mean really could you be any more rude. Also we got pizza with our meal ticket. It's was not good . Parts of the bread where still uncooked dough. Waited in line 45 minutes to get it. There were only 6 people in front of us in line and it took them 45 minutes to get to us . Johnny and Janay that worked at the pizza place goofed off behind the counter instead of waiting on customers so only one lady was really working . We traveled 2 and half hours to come . Next time we will just drive a extra hour to Bush gardens to their water park. I advise every one to try that one . ITS GREAT.

This is the first time that we got season passes and they really gouge you. The water attractions this year are less than stellar, The Ragin' Rapids, which I loved last year, did not really have enough water in them this year to keep you from scraping the bottom of the chute. I was really disappointed. I went to fill our ridiculously expensive souvenir cup with water, but every water fountain I found was "out of order". We went yesterday, planning to spend about half the day. I went to find a drink and a snack. With the season passes, you get a sheet of coupons to use throughout the season. One of them is a 25% off on a purchase in the souvenir shop. I bought a baseball cap when we went in, because I forgot to bring mine, and also forgot the coupon. Of course, they wouldn't honor the coupon. The Icee stall was closed, the Wrap stall was closed, The Smoked Turkey Leg stall was closed, The Walking Nacho/Taco stall was closed, the Soft Serve Ice Cream Stall was closed, the regular Ice Cream stall was closed. They don't allow you to bring in outside food or drink. They sell soda, lemonade and very expensive bottled water. I am just not sure if I will do this again or not.

My daughter and I always have fun when we go and it's an easy trip, but it's a tired, older park. The lines are considerable, sometimes over an hour, and the food isn't something you'd write home about. If you go, try during the week when the crowds are more manageable. And think about visiting Old Salem on the way!

3.5 stars, Been going there for the past few years with season passes, it's a great water park with dated amenities, nothing too fancy, it can get crowded pretty quickly, if you don't get there early it can be hard to find chairs to sit in. Other than the usual theme park gripes, such as food is too high, and some problems here and there, there isn't much to say. The park is run by mostly high school kids who can have attitudes at times, but all in all, it has been a good experience the last few years and I personally love going just to swim in the pools.

It was my first time at the park, and had no idea the order of things. When I rented a locker, it printed a receipt, and other than that, there was no way to remember which one was yours. They do not ask for a name or anything, just pay $10 and get a printout. After hours in the park, and not being able to take anything on rides, we realized it was closing time and went to the lockers to grab my car keys, phones, cards and passport. We had the numbers mixed up and tried for several minutes trying to determine which was ours. We went looking for help only to find someone named Kendra, who had the worst attitude on the planet. I did my fair share of retail and all before my career, so I understand if you're having a bad day, but she was the worst employee I have ran across in my life. She tried to open one locker, and it was empty, then we tried another, also empty. She said "i'll be right back" and walked away for over 20 minutes. The park was closed and we were there in swimsuits with no money, no keys and no ID. We go and find someone else who can help, he says we have to wait for the park to clear before they can check the lockers. I told him it was unacceptable. It makes no sense they wanted me to write on the lockout form all my belonging in the locker, and mind you my passport is in there, YOU CAN LOOK AT IT and see it's me if it's our locker. We are standing to the side and not going through the belongings of anyone, so I don't know why they thought something could go missing? After over an hour, they finally come to check the lockers. I said I thought it was on the row on the far right, they started checking all the lockers on the far left and then worked to the right! We had already been waiting for help for over an hour and were so upset, this made me more angry! A police officer comes and helps check and we finally find the locker, on the row I said it was on a few minutes earlier. I told them I was upset they didn't check on the right first, and the officer raised his voice at me and said "you remember your phone number don't you?" Of course I do, I've had it for over 2 years, what a dumb statement! Of the other things wrong with the park, one is my sister hit her head hard inside one of the rides and no one tried to help as we came out and she was holding her head and had me concerned something was very wrong. At the gate, I produced my ID and card I bought our tickets with online, and they told me they could not look me up, that I had to have the confirmation number. If that's the case, then why did I bother bringing in ID or the card I paid with as it says to online? The staff at the gate was very nice and helpful, but the officer and Kendra were the worst people I have come across in quite some time. I'm glad we decided to just try out the park before we bought season tickets. We came from out of town as well. Just go to Carowinds, we go there all the time and they are always great.

This is a top notch water park with lots of activities for all ages. Everything was in good condition and well staffed. On the downside, the food offerings are horrible, and they don't allow you to bring your own. You are forced to exit the park to eat your own lunch.

Most of the workers and life guards are nice and friendly... they need more family friendly rides for kids 42 inches, there are 2 (3 if you include the kiddy tube ride by the kiddy wave pool) that the family can do together. The pools are all kid friendly but in the lower level of the wave pool you will get knocked down so kids do need live jackets. Our kids like the 3ft pool, it's just a pool all around 3ft. But all around fun place for any age.

Is the website just down or what? I want to preorder tickets for the first weekend in June.

Edit:
We went opening weekend. It was fun. Wouldn't waste my money on the food, it awful. Funnel cakes were a joke, they are premade and just ran thru a toaster when ordered.

Nice day at the park yesterday. It's best to get there early and do the rides because by 1pm, the lines are all long and time consuming. The park seemed clean and all the workers were friendly. Biggest change I saw in a 5 year gap was they asked you to take your sunglasses off on the rides.

Nice if you live close, but I wouldn't recommend driving over an hour for it. Rides are okay, but waits are really long so you can't do much. Staff is okay, big improvement since the last few years.

Decent water park. The lifeguards seem to be really aware. Prepare for lots of walking even though it's a relatively small waterpark. The rides were fun. We went on a Wednesday morning and the lines weren't crazy long. Thunder rolled in at 3pm so they handed out rain passes to come back 3 hours before closing on another day. We took a cooler which we left in the car until lunchtime. We immediately snagged a picnic table to eat at. If you don't want to spend $100 on food and drinks, I suggest bringing your own cooler. We all had fun. Perfect sized park if you are taking younger kids.

I've been going to wet n wild all of my life and I've enjoyed it , but it seems like i can't have as much fun anymore because they apply more and more rules to the park. In which it limits many things, and it sucks the fun out of it. It wasn't how it used to be...:(

I enjoyed Wet'n Wild Emerald Pointe because it was easy to locate, offered discounts and rainy-day return tickets. There are various water attractions for kids of all ages and adults to all be entertained. The one downfall is most of the food / concession stands were closed.

Its a decent water park kids had fun we did too ive went hear since i was a young one , they do close to early at the beginning of june 10 to 5 ??! Atleast 7 would be good but they do begin to extend to that time after the first week when kids are out you cant bring in outside food but hey they want to make money and no telling how much the cleanup would be with outside food there are picnic tables out in the front if you want to bring your lunch

The park is great! I have a season pass, and I believe we'll visit it at least 2 more times this season.

The one star is docked off because they seem to leech money from the customers at every opportunity: parking fee, cannot take food inside the park (ok, understood), but a separate fee to keep our personal cooler with them, and they have a bunch of picnic tables to eat our own brought food *only* in the fenced area, where you need you have first paid them to keep your cooler in an open hut.

The wife and I have been going for years. Over the years, we both have lost weight (woot!). This year, we wait in line for awhile that we have rode for years and were denied because we weighed over 400 lbs combined. First off, that is severely incorrect. Secondly, if that was even the case, how is that 300lbs lifeguard going to save me? I know I can swin better than that lifeguard.
