Had a wonderful time with my granddaughters...wonderful place.
This is a fun place to enjoy with kids, family or friends on a hot summer day. Like all other water parks of course the food is overpriced but they do allow you to bring coolers. So I would recommend large families to pack lunches otherwise be prepared to spend a lot of money on meals.
It is so packed! The water is dirty, the pools are old and cracked, expected more of this place...
I had charges show up on my credit card that I didn't authorize. We rented a cabana to get the safe and it took them 2 hours to help unlock it. They could definitely do better.
Wish they had a pool for 21 and up lol. The whole parking lot should be paved, including employee entrance/parking area
In general, it's clean place. I gave 3 starts just because of highly overpriced food. Pizza for $35 instead of its regular price of $14-$18...
The only way is to bring your own food, leave it in the car and have a lunch outside.
Purchased the season passes and it is an excursion that can be enjoyed any given day that is FUN for the whole family!
We had such a blast! Went on all the major rides. Lines were not too bad. 20-45 minutes for wait times on a Saturday! We kept our phones, money, and clothes in the car. Lockers were over priced. $12 for a small and $20 for a large locker. We carried our car key and towels with us. You can go to your car at anytime and enter right back into the park. They will stamp your hand when you go to your car.
Most people walked barefoot in the park. Definitely keep your sunscreen with you. I wouldn t recommend wearing sunglasses or hats, they will fly off the rides.
Wave pool is my absolute favorite! Spent two hours in that. :)
Great balance of rides for kids and adults! Fun for all ages
Summer Fun- always a fun place with families or friends
Great Family Friendly Place to be. Somethings are over priced but that's any amesument park.
My teen son and I enjoyed a nice afternoon. The rides were great. We especially enjoyed the wave pool. The perfect sized park, not too big, not to small.
Fun place for the whole family or just a group of friends who want to stay cool. There are many ways to past the time here.
Great place to take the family, but water made me sick!#
Kids love all the attractions, especially the wave pool! Need to turn the waves up like 10 years ago and would be super awesome!!
I love coming here. My family and I love the water. Even with the lines being long or the park being crowded we still have an amazing time!!!!!
Park was good. But the staff over there was not friendly and doesnt even know when they close. They can extend the hpurs atleast in summer.
The water park itself is great. The slides were fun and the kids play area was awesome for my 2 year old son. They had plenty of life guards and the attendents at the slides were very helpful and friendly. However the reason for the 3 star rating is the concessions. We waited in line for ever in those things. And I don't think it was because it was so busy. At every vendor they only had one line open when they had the ability to have 2 or three. And I mean come on it's a Saturday in August at a water park not a random Tuesday. Also the people running the concessions had the personality of a person in an antidepressant ad before the happy I started taking medication that makes me not hate myself ending. I know you might not want to be there and make food, lemonade, or hand out bottles of water to people. But for heavens sake at least try to fake it. But I will go back I'll just pack everything.
It's not a huge water park but fun for kids anyway, there aren't much big rides as such. I didn't got a feel of going in a well managed water park.
They really need to improve on service side, starting from tickets and entrance to food serving. We wasted hours in food line and service was slow and pathetic. Exp. What will you feel if 3-4 pizza's are ready in front and server waits till another person's make to order dish comes when there are 20-30 people in a single line.
Go there if you don't have really good option nearby, small kids will like it.
Hope the management improves on service. Serious concerns...!!!
Emerald Point is always a good time. A great value for the money. However this time I was a little disappointed we paid extra money for Cabana but no one ever came around to take our lunch order ...we waited 30 mins. So we had to walk to get lunch and bring it all back which took more time away from our day. They ended up shutting down the park early due to a storm at least they refunded us our tickets.
I've been going to Emerald Pointe for around 17 years, I've seen it grow and change a lot, its peak was definitely in the early 2000s. I still love the place a lot and come back almost every summer at least once.
Improvements they could use;
Repaving of the wave pool
New attractions it been a while something new would be nice.
Possibly bringing in a chain restaurant a larger more shaded food court.
New pic nic tables they are very splintery, the plastic covered metal ones would be awesome!
New paint, just a facelift in general would be a huge improvement.
Make use of the "Hotel" building on site, add a dry fun area including things like, Magiquest, Arcade, escape rooms, mini golf, lazer tag, ropes course, play ground and a table service restaurant.
Adult fun in the center of/near the lazy river such as a swim up bar and hotubs.
Off season tours of how thing work!
Zip line over the park would be awesome.
Make use of the restaurant in the yellow round building.
This park has so much potential especially with the decline of carowinds (cedar fair ruined it), I would love to see them really work with that! Even play up the fact it's a park in GREENsboro called emerald point! Hell you could vamp it in a fantasy theme and call it "The Emerald Forest" and theme it around defeating the dragon from dragons den.
I could go into more depth but it would be pointless most likely, but her other readers if you like my ideas thumbs up the review maybe they will notice it! and let me finish explaining to someone who can get stuff done! (I got ideas and jokes)
Everything except the very expensive food and Lomas important to see my happy family
Park starts shutting down before listed closing time..even of you're in line 45 mins theyll. Still shut it down an you have wasted time and money. Go early ride rides first, check website, an plan accordingly. Good for something local but i was dissapointed with set up.
The park needs painted and updating, they gouged patrons on prices,3.59 for pops,50 dollars for pizza and two fries, just over charged on every aspect of the park.we did have fun,but the costs where way to high.
An ok fun park for a family with young children. Hope they would improve on available rides for younger kids (7-10) age group. The big wave attraction needs repaving for safety. Decent entry fee. Food prices here are too high. You're not Disneyland!
Went with my family for my son's family day. I paid over $60 for me and my other son to go with my son and his family. We had less than 2 hrs in the park. There were so many people that we could not even stay to get the food that was supposed to be included. My son had the wrist bands so we had to wait for him and his wife to meet us. We were spoken extremely rude to. I was trying to move over to the side to get out of the way. The woman very rudely told me not to go past the table. I had a stroller, a toddler and an 8 yr old. Really! How was i going to escape into "the intersanctum"? My grandkids were crying because they were so hungry. They could not wait on the really long lines. We asked if we could leave and go get them something to eat and come back. We were told if we left the food area we could not come back in the park. We had wrist bands showing we were with the group. Also, the lines were so long people were having to leave without eating because they had to go work on 3rd shift. It was extremely unorganized and disappointing. It was my first and last trip there.
Fun rides and pools and some cool rides I've never seen anywhere else. I really like the Cyclone Zone which is like a lazy river but fast, and the Runaway Rapids. HOWEVER some of the employees are awful. One lady (didn't catch her name but she was the lifeguard for the pool with the boat in the seat directly in front of the yellow slides August 3 around 4:45) obviously hated her job and/or kids because she wasn't polite at all and sounded really mean and grumpy the first time she told my friend she could only get on the boat from the back and I could understand that if it was the second or third offense but that's just not ok the first time so she is terrible at her job. At least pretend to like your job! Some of the other employees were great but some just seemed bored. The wave pool needs more waves. Also apparently you can't walk on the ledge thing in the wave pool, I got whistled at but that dumb rule isn't marked anywhere that I saw. The rides themselves are great though. Also the ice cream stand had maybe 1.5 star service, they took a long time and forgot about one of our bowls of ice cream and we had to correct them. They weren't the worst about it but they also weren't exactly super polite. The food was ok but not as good as you would expect based on the price. ~$30 for a mediocre pizza is insane. The cabana was really nice and it was cool to have our own space where my parents could sit while I go on rides with my sister. You should probably wear water shoes because the ground can get really hot. The bathrooms are unpleasant but better than some other amusement park bathrooms I've seen.
First time since the 90's, thing look like have not changed much since then.
So fun and cool
Love it
Take the Grandkids every summer. They love this place.
Very exciting and fun place. Good family trip for the day. Lots of variety of water rides.
Wet n Wild is a lot of fun for people who love big thrill rides and lazy rivers alike, and admission and food is pretty reasonably priced by amusement park standards. All the staff were friendly and enthusiastic at best, pleasant at worst. It's a great place to go whenever the weather is warm, but if you burn easily, don't like crowds, or want to avoid the people who treat the locker room as a smoking area, try to pick a day that's a bit cloudy or early in the summer.
Our time spent here was ok. The Kids had fun but I personally think the water is to cold. I would have enjoyed it more if the water had been warmer. But other than that it was worth the trip.
Had a wonderful time can wait to go back... A family fab....
Is anyone else having trouble accessing there web page keeps telling me unable to load page not found?
Almost all pools were filled with debris....leaves and twigs. We left after a hr I would like a refund
Wet and wild is the best water park I have ever been to it has lots if slides and lot if things for little kids to do to.
They take your money and the parking pass means nothing all u do is spend all your money
We've been here several times and had a blast every almost all of them. The weekends are really crowded. So I either find a weekday or just skip it entirely. The crowds on the weekends make the lines so long it's almost not fun.
Season pass is a great value, especially if purchase on Black Friday. You can also purchase a seasons' parking pass. Seasons passes get you discounts off of locker rentals and food purchases. Save some extra time and money and bring your food in a cooler. For a fee they will store it for you and there is a nice picnic area inside the park. We have been going to Wet n Wild for years and keep going back.
Had a blast with all the rides and the wave pool was great. I took a nap on the lazy River and woke up on the rapids. Over all it's a great place for family and for.
Overpriced and super crowded. The park closed an hour early due to rain.
Took my grandchildren and they all had a blast! This Nana played with the babies in the kiddie area while the parents, Aunts and uncles took the older ones on the slides! A great day for all!!
My family really enjoys going to Wet n wild. The seasonal passes are the best for us and the discounts that come with it are even better!
My 65 year old mother has to pay $40 to watch her grandkids play. No thanks. They need to have a reduced price "non-rider" pass or how about let them in for free. Ridiculous.
Go early the kids will tire themselves out.If there adolescents prefect they can have free range of the park.We got there at around 3pm and they close at 6pm.The kids didn't want to leave they made friends in the wave pool.We got our tickets from State Employees bank for 30 bucks normal is like 45 I think.Everything extra from locker to cooler storage range from $8 to $20.Its family friendly with nice seating areas.Granted we went on a Monday so lines weren't crazy.Either way before you go or pack a cooler for the car.Travel light unless you want to watch bags all day.The hour ride up was worth it.I sat under the shade and watched bags for the 3 hrs.Get a map before you enter it will help you plot the day.
Prices are high for food and drinks, also the lockers were 20.00$ !!!! The lines were to long the wait per ride was at less 45 minutes !!!
Lines are incredibly long and slow moving even for peak season. My kids have spent a total of more than 4 hours waiting in lines and about 30 minutes (being generous) of actual ride time. Very disappointing.
Amazing time. One of the workers, however yelled at my kids for going in the line for the riptide ride without any notice of it not currently being operational. I told the manager that no one needs to yell or raise their voice to my children. They didn't even do anything wrong. He fixed it, we had fun. 5 stars even with that rage monster working there.
Great place for groups. Cooler ok on Sunday but pay small fee
Nice picnic area
I visited the park a couple of days ago and had a great time all the lifeguards were amazing I rode the cyclone zone right before closing and a lady made her child get in even though she was obviously scared and another lady cussed out the lifeguard there for no reason at all and I was amazed at how he handled the situation I had a brief talk with him and told him not to let it get to him bc she used very foul and demeaning words people like that shouldn t be allowed in the park there were kids around but I just wanted to shout him out his name I can t remember but Ik he had the coolest PAC Man Chaco's
You need shower and more gifts for adults for kids I went,4 day ago I was disappointed because I want to buy stuff on my family and y'all didn't have nothing and went out by the little stuff animals you have one green one two pink ones I can't find that one granddaughter you must tell my boys so I can't get them pink and I asked do you all have any more in stock and they told me no I'm sorry
This place would be great if they would stop hiring hood rats to run the place, I mean please hire people with a degree or knows what customer service is....
Wonderful place to take the kids. Large with losts of diverse rides and pools. Hard walking barefoot on the hot concrete.
