A great way to spend a hot summer day with family....

A great way to spend a hot summer day with family. There is something for everyone and for every level of swimming skill. Like with anything, there are pros and cons too everything.
Let's start with cons: 1) it can b crowded, thus the waiting lines will b long, and when it's the middle of July, it can get REALLY hot. 2) NO outside food allowed which leads to the third 3) the food is expensive. Like ridiculously expensive, and not that tasty. 4) when at the rides, there are cubby holes for shoes, but no where to really put your towel, drink, or whatever else you're carrying around. 5) with that being said, you can rent a locker, however, they are kinda pricy with a small being $10, or a large at $20. There are 3 locations around the park, but the ones that are in the front where most people go are updated with a 4 digit pin number instead of a key. So maybe the reason the prices are kinda steep is because the park is trying to update all the lockers to that system. 6) some of the slides can bang up your knees, hips, ankles, things like that, so keep in mind that while you'll leave happy and tired, you may also b sore.
It may seem that the cons outweigh the pros, but when you really think about the time you spend there, it's really not that bad. So let's look at the pros: 1) kids and and adults will have a blast! 2) if you go on Wednesdays, not only could you get a discount on the entry tickets, it typically is less busy, so in turn lines are not that long! 3) you can ride a ride multiple times in a row. 4) they do sell alcohol (but again, it is expensive, but you can pack a cooler, and visit your cooler as many times you as you want, as long as you get your hand stamped for reentry) 5) lifeguards are everywhere, so safety is always a plus. 6) you can get a reusable cup for about $9, and the refills are a buck. I recommend getting that because that is the best deal. 7) they have a souvenir shop that doubles as a stop-in-shop for those in case situations where you forgot sunblock, or a towel, ect.
The price of admission is $40, but when it comes to family fun in the sun, admission is priceless.

Amazing water park. Plenty of stuff to do for adults and children. I ve been 3 times already and never disappointed (attractions wise) but all times I ve went the staff was extremely rude. I understand the heat makes people grumpy, but if you re going to work at an amusement park, you need to be at least acting like you re happy. It really ruins people s experience.

There's something for everyone here. It's big, clean, and lots of fun. I particularly liked that they had so much for my young kids(8 & 2) to do. My husband and I are going by ourselves next, since there are plenty of adult rides as well. The prices to get in aren't bad either!

The park staff were very disconnected from the guest experience. They didn't seem to care if you ever came back. We rented a space and I had to keep asking folks to leave our area because the staff would not. Not sure our family will ever go back.

My partner and I went mid-week for the first time. Lines weren't terrible, i think we waited like 20 minutes tops for a ride. We had a blast and there were some relaxing alternatives to the slides like the Lazy River and the Wave pool. The food served there was really pricey but a nice option to have since we didn't bring food. If we do go again we'll bring a cooler since you can reenter the park. They have picnic areas right outside of the gate so you can enjoy your homemade lunch there. The park offers a cooler storage station (that you have to pay for) i guess it's an alternative to keeping it in your car but the storage area is outdoors so I'm not sure I would pay the money to store it. I didn't rate them with 5 stars because the park itself could use a face lift. Plus the rates they charge for extras is bananas (we paid $20 for a locker to fit one backpack; and around $15 for 2 slices of pizza and a drink). Also a few rides hurt my back, like the dragon ride, its a 2-person tube ride and if your bottom is touching the slide, prepare for some lower back pain! {I am not an elder nor obese}TIP: I wouldn't use the first set of lockers you see, there are more lockers sprinkled throughout the park that aren't as busy or slick with sun block

Great place to go with family that likes water. Not too big water park. Would recommend bringing own cooler and food to store in car. Smoothie and funnel cakes were not good. Food quality not good at park. Most of Staff at park were teens and they were friendly overall. Look foward to going again with family.

Had to wait in line in hot sun for over 30mins just to be told we could not ride because of weight limit even tho previous 2 rides had EXACT same weight limit and got green lights on those.. Its understandable the weight limit is for the safety of the riders but if 2 out of 3 scales with the same weight limit passed then problem rests with the scale unless a small bottle of water in between rides thru it off lol, they should at least have the scales at entrance of the ride so people won't burn up in the hot sun while waiting on long lines just to be told they can't ride, Very unpleased , on top of that the pool was up to 9ft deep yet they let no one past 6.6ft plus no diving no jumping, very disappointed on that one too, you can't bring your own food from outside to the park and can't buy a single hot dog had to buy a whole basket for about $10 so considering all these and the expensive admission fee + $10 parking fee + $20 locker ( $13 locker was TOO small) + expensive food & refreshments = not completely bad

We have been taking family trips to Emerald Pointe...

We have been taking family trips to Emerald Pointe for at least 12 years and just took our annual one yesterday. It was pretty much the same as all the years before, everyone had a great time. We received a free meeting area under the tents for our group but never used them cause they are so far away from everything. My only complaints were that every bathroom was very nasty and reeked of urine among other things. I know this is a place with thousands visiting every day but please hire more restroom staff. I never saw anyone in there upkeeping them during our whole time there. And would it hurt to add a few more picnic tables to the outside area for people waiting to meet their parties since you only want one person in the group sales line at a time?

I love going here for the summer time can't wait to go back next year. Missed out past 3 years cause there's not one out in Indiana or Illinois so I had to deal with that. Great food and coupons; even summer passes as well. I know plenty of employees that work there and the really work hard so as far as I know staff is great. Sometimes certain rides may be out of order do to kids getting sick by eating right before getting on a ride. There's bathrooms everywhere you even a smoker section for people in my family that tend to smoke a lot. Great water park to even exist out there which is why I'm going back there around Christmas. Btw the lazy river wad my favorite.

We have season passes and drove 3 hours Monday to go into the park for them to close at 12pm for maybe inclement weather. The rain didnt even start until late Monday night. There was no reason to close the park at all! The radar didnt even have anything showing around us. We stayed the night in Burlington and went to the park the next day. It was freezing but we did have fun because there wasnt alot of people there. It makes it hard to plan our trips when we dont know if they are going to close the park over a cloud...

Speaking from a parent's point of view...I encount...

Speaking from a parent's point of view...I encountered something very horrible while visiting the park on Aug 26, 2017 So naturally when you have children and it's just you and your children, your first instinct when riding water slides is you, the parent, go down first to ensure everyone makes it down safely and out of the water especially for those who yes have on a floating device as well as being a young age. So my daughter had her swim cap on, wore it from the time we entered til done at the park, we rode one of the tube water slides first time no problem. A little while later we ride again. I, as the parent, go down first because it was just my children and myself at that time. I get down the slide waiting for my daughter to come down the slide. I saw my son come down (mind you him and her should have came down together) and I'm like where is your sister? So I'm watching because she should have been right behind me but NO, I see another little girl come down. So by that time I'm freaking out!!! Come to find out from a little boy that was listening to me screaming and asking where my daughter was, the life guard wouldn't let her go down the slide because of her swimming cap!! Now I have a problem with that because she is only 5 yrs old and for me to be waiting in line with her talking to her and prepping her what to do, I wasn't expecting to be looking for my 5 yr old in this huge freaking park because the life guard didn't have the audacity to let me know first of all that it couldn't be worn (who knew)?? And secondly my child who's 5 yrs old was lost and scared!!! Now I'm lookin for answers because that shouldn't have NEVER happened!!! I'm going to find answers and whoever came up with the bright idea that swim caps can't be worn on water rides is ridiculous!!! It's a freaking water park for goodness sake!!! When I have a valid reason as to why then I MAY be ok with that answer but I doubt it!! But until then I am one fired up parent because nobody should be looking for their child after a ride when they were right behind them in line!!! Especially younger children! As a parent this was/is a fear that came true to a certain extent... no parent EVER should have to wonder where their child is ESPECIALLY when they were right behind them in line!!! That unknown moment took me to a place where I didn't want to be! I know that the park isn't there to keep an eye on children families or what have you but when you are a parent and you know what you are doing and did the best thing possible for your children just to be led on a wild goose chase looking for your 5 yr old daughter was UNACCEPTABLE! Please be aware that I am on a hunt to find out why swimming caps aren't allowed on "some" water slides because I don't ever want that to happen to anybody else!!! Just UNACCEPTABLE!! Outcome: by the time we found my daughter she was scared and crying and wouldn't leave my side throughout the duration of the park visit. While speaking with management nothing they said or could have said could justify what happened to us that day! Just UNACCEPTABLE is the best way I can put that!!! PARENTS if you have small children and they are WEARING SWIMMING CAPS be aware!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I would hate for something worse off to happen because of something simple as that! We went to have a good time but that all changed in a matter of seconds! Looks like whoever decides/comes up with these rules should take another look because if it were you you wouldn't want that to happen! One thing is for sure they played with the wrong parent and children because I don't play that! My children are my world and my heart and seeing what happened that day put an even more perspective and precaution for myself. If I can help it I'm going to find answers and I'm going to make sure that that NEVER happens again, for myself and others!! Just UNACCEPTABLE POINT BLANK PERIOD!

Everything was pretty good with the exception of the wait in the food line. 35 minute + wait for food that wasnt being ordered, it was a pick up and pay. They couldn't keep up with the demand and was only putting out 3 of each selection at at time. I waited so long for a cheeseburger I got a chicken sandwich instead.

Came to the water park today... and I won't be coming back again... I would've given No stars if it would let me. The only thing you could basically do is stay in the over crowded wave pool. Gosh forbid if you look beefy .. and you have a thick.. not fat but thick wife... then they tell you that you can't ride anything. It's ridiculous almost 3 hour drive and we were able to get on 1 ride at the raging rapids together.. but was told in another line by staff before we got to the top we were going to be over the weight limit. Though the weight limit was the same as the previous ride and we were able to ride it no issues. Yes discrimination at its finest.. so if you have any love handles or meat on your bones.. do yourself a favor keep your 100.00 to get in.. have your wife or nan cook you up a good dinner and go spend the day at the local pool or go to a beach, and stay home!!!! And who has ever seen $10.00 funnel cakes that come out of a freezer and heated up in over sized eady bake oven.. cause that is what they serve. Trust me you will be alot more happier somewhere else!!!!!! Run as fast as you can away from here... never felt so low as this place did. Thanks to the guy on the Rapids yoooou was awesome.. but the rest of this park sucks! I wish i could get a refund.. but they rather just keep the money!

I've loved this place since I was a kid, but went recently and noticed some improvements that could be made. The wave pool floor is falling apart, the cabanas next to the kid area are not very ADA accessible, and the food is overpriced/not very good.

We had tickets for the season and the boys loved it. We were not able to go as often as we liked but it is a good place to go over the summer with your family. Plenty of rides, take a long your food because that could save you spending more once you get there.

Great place but not a whole lot of rides. They also need to really look into getting more floats for some of the rides. Some lines were just ridiculous JUST to wait for a float and then to turn right around to stand in yet another line. We More

Went with family of three after visiting Water Country USA two days prior. This park is by far much better than Water Country USA. Lines were similar but the thrill of rides here was amazing. Wave pool was better as well with the whirlpool spin in corners. Didn't eat so this is based solely on rides. And this place is cheaper. We'll be back next summer.

Went there several years back had a blast, the experience was well worth it. The price for the tickets were great, we went during a slow time of the year so the lines were short and you can ride them multiple times. Lots of fun and would recommend for a family adventure.

This park is not accommodating at all. The workers are not knowledgeable about where the Cabana's are. We walk all around the park looking for Cabana 9 with a 5month old baby for 30mins. After telling half of my park to enjoy the water park while I seek to find the cabana we were separated for an hour and a half. The manager Christy Spivey stated they couldn t page my family until the nest 45 mins. After. Becoming upset she threatened to kick me out of the park for being loud. I will come back to this park again.

Loved it! We never take a break from everyday life and we needed this. It was a slow day, thank goodness! All staff members were very friendly! Pizza was very over priced and no way in a million life times worth it.! I should have gotten a cabana. But we enjoyed it and will return and recomend.
