I have had EMC install two security systems in the past several years. I strongly recommend EMC security. They are very easy to work with for installations and have friendly employees. Their billing department is also helpful getting autopay set up or linked to your EMC bill.

I ve had the system on two properties for about a year, I know when there is a power outage that the WiFi drops and the cameras are not functional, this is a problem. I work out of town and resetting the cameras is not an easy fix, so leaves them useless. I d recommend a different type of camera if you aren t at the residence full time. ( very irritating ) it would seem for the money spent on these at 200 a camera ( with installation ) they would be more reliable.

I purchased the self install option thinking it would be really simple according to the sales person that came to my house. It was not. Just be aware of how your door jams are built before you purchase, unless you want to pay the ridiculous amount of $295 for a tech to come to your house and install 3 door sensors. Also, I called technical support several times and while they were not rude, they were not overly friendly and was almost like it was a bother to them that you didn't know exactly how everything works. They did mail me some additional "spacers" to use with no directions included so that was not helpful. Also, feel as if there is a lot of up sell that goes on. Just to get an app (that comes free with competitors) is a $5 additional charge per month. It is also my opinion that the website that is used to control the system is outdated and not completely user friendly. I did have a great sales person, Pete, that did everything he could to make it right and I am appreciative of that. I just feel that the sales team is somewhat not completely educated on the products they are selling. Very rarely do I do a review, I just would like for people to be aware that with the self install option, your door jams have to be built a certain way or it will cause issues.

Just established with EMC after moving to a new home. They were efficient, professional and made sure I understood how the system worked. The billing department also followed up to confirm billing details and to ensure I didn't have any questions. Overall very positive experience so far.

They installed an alarm and security cameras for me at my personal residence 3 years ago. Our camera system was no longer working correctly and I wanted to upgrade the cameras to a higher definition system. They would not service the system since I no longer monitored the security system with them. I was willing to pay for the service call and upgrade but no luck.
I built hundreds of homes with Emc Security in the past. Was a great company at one time. I will never use or refer them again.

I am very happy with EMC Security. I switched to them when i went all cellular in January 2013 and ADT wanted an additional 13 dollars! Ever since I switched, EMC Security has charged me $25.95 which is $4 less than I was paying ADT! When I accidentally set off the motion detectors in the house, EMC is very quick to call. The only thing I would say is that with ADT when I accidentally set off the motion detectors in the house, it was possible to cancel that call. With EMC, that is not possible; they are going to call!

Contacted Customer Support during off hours regarding error messages preventing my mother from enabling her alarm. After repeating the issue multiple times and being presented with irrelevant solutions that have nothing to do with the problem at hand, I was told that the problem will be escalated and I would be receiving a call. It's been nearly 12 hours since I contacted Customer Support and notified a representative.

I don't pay for an alarm or a service that is only active during normal business hours. The Customer Service rep. that I spoke with had even asked if my problem was essentially a non-issue and can wait. Uh, I guess if you could guarantee my home and family's safety for whenever it's convenient for your technicians? What?

We've been customers of EMC Security for several years, and while there are pros to using their services, such as rapid response times to alarms, the customer service aspect has continued to significantly deteriorate over the years. I'm still waiting for a return call from literally anyone from EMC, and depending on how this interaction goes, my family will greatly consider if we need to change home security providers.

As it will soon be a Tuesday morning with regular business hours, perhaps it will soon be convenient for a rep. to call back.

12/7/18 UPDATE
The following morning after contacting Customer Service regarding the issue detailed above, we were able to speak with a Technical Support rep. for troubleshooting. Although, we were unsuccessful in resolving the problem.

A technician named Scott was able to come on site the next day in an attempt to fix the problem. However, the alarm continued to have issues later that evening. Scott returned the next morning to take a more thorough look into what may be causing the issue. Hopefully, we won't run into any additional problems.

I would like to point out that although we may not have had a decent experience with customer service, our opinion on EMC Security as a whole was greatly impacted by the service we received from Scott, the technician. He was very professional and courteous and made sure that we were satisfied with the care we received.

Very personalized and actually listened to our needs. Prices are very fair, and they use their own techs unless behind. Salesman came to the house instead of phone sales call. Better than big companies on returning calls, or no calls on when the service is down. Emc is locally owned and makes it better than big competitors. Monitoring cost is lower than what we were paying for cellular coverage.

Switched to EMC Security following many years with another alarm company that became unresponsive to our desire to switch modes of communication, telling us that our house just wasn't in a good location. EMC's representatives were very courteous and responsive to my request, and explored my options. The installation person was pleasant and patient in explaining the new system, and was cognizant of all COVID protocols. When we accidentally set off the alarm several weeks later, response from EMC was instantaneous! As opposed to my previous alarm company that sometimes wouldn't even respond if the alarm was canceled within 60 seconds. The cost is less as well. I'm glad we finally made the switch. It's still early in the relationship but so far, I'm pleased.

EMC is always quick to respond anytime my alarm goes off, whether accidentally or otherwise. Callbacks are within seconds and always with a pleasant CSR on the other line that genuinely cares about whatever is happening. Kuddos to EMC and all employees. You are truly a member of the family when you sign up with EMC!

My experience was very good. Both the technician and the sales representative were very knowledgeable and professional. The install technician was on time, courteous and got his work down in a timely and efficient manner. He wore his ppe at all times and was very good explaining the new system. The sales rep was knowledgable, helpful and followed up in a manner that was not overbearing. Overall an A plus experience.

All services prior to installation to date of installation was superb. The the person that took my call, ensured someone call me to set up my1st appointment was the foundation of the awesome service I received. The appointment to evaluate the service was great. Information on my initial deposit, monthly payment, and monthly payment was clear snd concise. Extremely outstanding service was the installer. He was the most patient person I ve met. There was a little issue stemming from the previous company, and I was not only upset, but concerned about getting my service done. I was also worried that the tech was might be upset with the issue at hand. This gentleman handled the issue with so much professionalism, he was calm, patient, while he tried to find a resolve. I was appalled when he returned from his truck, and said; Don t worry ma am, I spoke with my manager, snd we are going to install a new system for you at no extra charge. I was not only ecstatic, but humbled and thankful. This I say was impeccable service.

P.S. I offered him a bottle of water, he thanked me, but declined the offer.

I disconnected all of my sensors, keypads, motion sensor, and radio and didn t receive any call from them to ask me what is going on in my house. It seems they do not screen anything. EMC Security has been very great. The coast is reasonably and the customer service has been outstanding. In a day and age where good customer service is a hit or miss, my EMC installation technician was outstanding. The monitoring team was also wonderful taking the time to answer a new customer questions about some system and APP control questions. I am very happy I went with this very affordable system and customer oriented company.

He was informative and patient as I evaluated options. The install team was great. I had two issues, one not all the equipment was available at once so it required two visits. The second was the security system sent faulty alarms three times on two separate nights with no explanation.

Called to set up service officially at 12:24 (noonish). Customer service, Melanie, was so quick to rush me off phone. Originally didnt want to wait for me to look around apt for device controller. Once she waited on that, I informed her I didn't know model. She asked for me to take picture, email,call back. I told her i didnt have to hang up phone to take picture. Once I took Picture, I informed I can email while on phone, she said ok. Then AGAINNNN, asked me to wait because now she needed to see which model via picture. Now get me, Im tech support and when someone needs support and doesn't want to hang up, YOU STAY ON PHONE. I was patient and went ahead and waited to NOT Even get a call back. I waited til 2:40. Called, she then said sorry and I need to "Chill Out" Ummmm?? What? How about it took me 5 seconds to look up "honeywell" models and found my model in 2 minutes. To make it more interesting, she said her guys are walking in from lunch and she'll ask what their time is/ Schedule is. Again.... Really ???Never CALLED me. LESSON should have been learned FIRST TIME- AT 3 when no response from a simple setup call at noon. Once I called lastly, she stated she was waiting for a good time from them.Really??? What customer service manager hired you to wait around and take your timmmmmeee on setting up a customer who needs security. Helloo..reason I called. Ending up cancelling at 5pm end of day, since sister says imagine if someone would have really broken in? Would you be made to wait 5 hours?!!

Update... Ron called me the next morning. He asked me what my issues were with the system. After understanding the problem he promptly corrected the issue and performed a test. He is going to call me in a week to verify everything is working properly.

I have been a customer over 10 years with two accounts. I have purchased three systems to date. I paid over $1100 for my current home system. I have spoken with many customer service representatives with issues still unresolved.

I have been an EMC Security customer for a month now and have been so impressed! After looking at the other security companies out there this was the obvious choice. I already had a system in my home and they were able to come in and activate it with ease! Not only that but the professional technician checked all of my windows and doors to ensure that everything was working correctly.

The following are the events that happened on August 4th through August 6th. The events are factual and documented or on video.
On Aug 4,2020 our alarm system was set to Alarm Away at 07:11:06 (7:11 p.m.)
On Aug 4 at 11:54 p.m. an intruder threw a rock through our glass door and entered our store. No alarms were activated including the motion sensor. The intruder walked through the entire store and jumped over display cases and stole over $700.00 in merchandise and the cash register.
On Aug 5 at 5:21 AM the front motion sensor detected movement and the alarm was activated and we were notified. The alarm was our city police. They had seen the glass was broken out of our door and were checking our store. For over 5 hours our store was open to anyone.
We checked our video surveillance system and saw the intruder was in the store at 11:54 p.m.
We contacted the monitor service and they made a report of what had happened.
At 8:29 am on Aug 5th Josh with EMC called and scheduled a service tech.
The service tech finally arrived on Aug. 6th at 4:00pm. After checking our system he said quote The motion sensor must be bad. My supervisor said if you are going to keep us as your alarm company that I can put in another motion sensor . I asked about my other store which has the exact same system and the service tech said the earliest anyone would be able to check it would be towards the end of next week. I said that was unacceptable that I had to know the stores were secure. He said my supervisor said it was all we could do . I told him we would be changing alarm companies.
Other than the one call from Josh we have not heard from any member of EMC Security. No calls, no explanations, no apologies, not a single word. You decide if this is the type of security company you want to handle your security.

EMC security is first class all around. As a repeat customer with a second installation I can honestly say it was an excellent experience both times. From the moment I first called their customer service, all staff on hand are professional, courteous and always on time. They addressed all my questions and concerns and walked me through how to access and use my new system. Additionally, there followup post installation was a nice touch! Safety and security is important, having a reliable security company monitoring and protecting your family is priceless. I would highly recommend Jackson EMC to anyone.

I always have to click the "submit" button twice in order to process a payment, always leaving me with the fear that I am paying twice. An option to pay by bank draft would be great.

We really love EMC Security. Especially when we set it off accidentally. They call so fast, we hardly have time to turn off the alarm before we get a call. Now they gave us a way to get a text if it goes off, which we really like because we always have our phones with us, but can t always take a call. We can reply back in the text which is great and the texting option is free. It was an easy decision to switch to EMC because they are much lower than others but the equipment and service is the best you will find.

Since we had already signed up with Walton EMC for electrical service, we decided that EMC security would be a wise choice for a security monitoring system. We were absolutely correct. The company's representative, who was friendly and professional, carefully walked us through the various options available to us. He came up with ideas to unique security concerns that would provide us coverage while home and away. EMC Security is the absolute best! I called 2 other security companies to come out to my townhome to set up service and the sales consultants were absolutely HORRIBLE! They barely looked around and automatically said that I could not recieve service because the old system was "locked".
Today when Lee McGhee (the representative from EMC) came to my townhome, he was pleasant, informative and very professional! He went above and beyond to assist me with any questions and concerns that I had! He let me know about the previous security system that was installed and what I would need to do to set up service. He assured me that it was definitely possible to recieve service in my townhome and apologized for the experience that I had with the other 2 companies (even though it wasnt his fault). This company and what it represents is absolutely amazing! After being disappointed and discouraged by 2 other companies, Lee McGhee turned my doubts into happiness and joy! It seems like its hard to find hard working, good quality people that truly care and I can definitely say that I experienced customer service at its best today!

EMC contacted us because we had to upgrade the cellular radio for 5G. We were wondering how much it would be because our neighbors had to pay for theres. EMC told us they were covering the cost. That was great news. The tech was in the house for an hour or two and made sure we had the app connected before he left. He was really nice and polite - just like the last one when we activated a few years ago. We feel safe with them in the house. EMC is a great company with great rates. We d refer them to anyone looking for alarm service.
