Good customer service. Could use improvement on attention to detail.

Elmer s was recommended to us a few years ago for some body work in my Lexus LS. Since then we ve used Elmer s for several services including repairs, body work and even detailing. Most recently our daughter had a car accident. Wes took the time and really cared to make sure everything was checked thoroughly. We couldn t be happier with Elmer s work and their staff. They truly are great people to work with and their attention to detail is second-to-none.

Great service, they want to get tour car in fixed up asap and out to you, so you can continue your normal everyday life. Super nice to the customers.

I'm not one to write reviews, but I feel compelled to in this case. Wes did such an excellent job of taking care of my situation in a timely way, along with great communication and extra service (he drove me to work!). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or return to Elmer's.

My vehicle was in an accident and sustained a lot of damage. Wes and his team went to work on my truck right away. They finished the job right on time and the truck looks brand new. Throughout the whole process the entire team was both friendly and informative of all aspects of the repair. There is a reason that Elmer's has been in business for so long and they will be my only option to work with in this area. They were a pleasure to deal with on all levels. Elmer's has a great team in place and will continue to be a leader for years to come with customer service and quality of work like I experienced.

Elmers from 4-20-20 to 4-21-20 had my vehicle. Elmers completed the job to perfection. I really appreciate them vacuuming my truck interior area. I would recommend Elmer s for body work, and I would go back for future body work I may require.

We had a great experience! Had thousands of dollars in hail damage while we were on vacation in TN this summer, and Elmer's made the car look brand new again! They worked very easily and well with our insurance company, providing a detailed estimate, and worked quickly and diligently on our car. Was thrilled with the work that they did on our 2013 Subaru. We've already referred them to tons of people and would use them again in a heart beat if we need more body work done in the future. Thank you Elmer's! You made an unpleasant storm experience very pleasant for us through the whole process!

I was recently hit from behind while driving to Chicago. Elmer's was recommended by a friend so I scheduled an appointment with Wes Steffen and our insurance company and then headed over to have my Jeep looked at. The damage was worse than I originally thought and our Jeep ended up being totaled by the insurance company. Even though Elmer's did not get to fix our Jeep, Wes stood by us throughout the entire process to make sure the insurance company treated us fairly. I cannot say enough good things about Elmer's and if I am ever in need of auto body repair in the future I will take my vehicle straight to Elmer's.

Elmer's Body Shop sets a new standard for customer service. Mr. Steffen maintained regular communication with me throughout the time my car was in the shop, keeping me updated on the progress and patiently answering all questions. His team was professional, friendly, and did an excellent job with the repairs. When the car was ready, we took a test drive together to make sure I was satisfied with the work. He also called a week afterward, just to make sure everything was in good order. I highly recommend Elmer's.

I have been taking my cars here since 1973 and I have never been disappointed. From minor repairs to a complete paint job always excellent workmanship.

After a young lady backed into me and damaged my bumper and right rear panel on my 2015 Audi A8, I took it to Elmer's to have repaired. It turned out to be a bit more complicated that I thought to begin with. The Audi is a complicated vehicle and has MANY sensors in the bumper that require alignment to work properly. These fellows at Elmer's knew EXACTLY how all this worked and coordinated with my insurance company, the local Audi dealer to make sure that everything that was done was absolutely perfect. After getting the car back, I was MORE than impressed. Not only was the damage was completely repaired .. the car looks brand new like it did when I purchased it back in 2015. It's PERFECT. Also, to my surprise, they completely detailed the interior, trunk .. everything. WOW !! I would absolutely recommend this body shop to anyone who needs PROFESSIONAL repairs. Any body shop can probably fix a small dent, but these guys know there stuff !! They are REAL pros.
You won't be sorry and when you get your vehicle back, it'll be like NEW !!

I've had repairs performed numerous times with Elmer's Body Shop, specifically corresponding with Wes Steffen. He will communicate with you from start to finish on any task and give you expert advice with years of experience to back it up. As a Fleet Manager of many different makes and models of vehicles, Wes could assist in any manner, no job was to small or to big. Not once did I need to take a vehicle back to his shop because it wasn't done right. This is why I take my personal vehicles to Elmer's Body Shop and will tell anyone that I know that needs body work to Call Wes!!!

I found this business through Google and chose to use it because of the good reviews it had. I'm glad I did. Very good customer service and I'd go back again and again. My family was in a car accident and there was alot of damage to our 2016 Kia SUV and Elmer's took the job and I couldn't be any happier. My car was better then brand new. The Paint was matched, all the parts fit as they should, they even went all the way and gave a nice little detail to the interior. Now it's time to speak about Terry. What a great guy with Amazing Customer Service. If you want great customer service with wonderful Auto Body Technicians then Elmer's and Terry are the way to go. 10/5 thank you so much for your hard work.

My experience with Elmer's Body Shop has been AMAZING. We hit a deer on 70 traveling from Chicago to Pittsburgh Pa on Nov. 5th. Once I was given a list of 5 body shops approved by our insurance, I immediately read the Google reviews. The reviews for Elmer's were spot on. We were given updates on the extensive work. The shop truly bent over backwards for us to get our truck back as we were traveling from Pittsburgh to pick it up. It ready before the projected date too! Excellent work!! Excellent customer service!

I would highly recommend Elmer's Body Shop. It has been a family run business for three generations. The service I received was excellent. I had a window issue that caused a huge hassle. I was scheduled to leave town the next day. I remembered Elmer's does just about everything so I gave them a call. Wes Steffen (owner, operator) handled my situation very professionally . He solved it in record time. The best part was coming home from out of town to find my car fixed and even washed in the garage.

Very simple when it comes to body shops, go to the best. Your life, your family's lives may depend on it. These folks care. Reputation speaks volumes. Did I mention the invisible repairs? Ask them, trust them. Don't believe me? Stop by and and see, that doesn't cost anything.

Do not back up their work,had body work done on my truck,the blisters came back.Now I have to take it somewhere else ,and pay someone to do the work,that I already payed for.Very Disappointed.Will not go back again.

Service here was great and the staff even gave helpful tips on how to get a car rental (insurance loaner).

The day after Christmas 2016 a deer took out the hood, front quarter panel, front fascia, and both doors on the driver's side of my 2011 Mopar Charger. Today, the stripe was put on and the car looks as good as it did the day I drove it off the showroom floor. The paint and body panel gaps match perfect. The stripe that runs from the front to the back was lined up perfect. I could not be happier with how the car turned out.

Although the car ended up being totaled and I didn't get a chance to experience their workmanship, I can say that the communication was very prompt and courteous. I would definitely give them a shot with any future repairs.

I took my van to Elmer's for body work on my car at the suggestion of my local mechanic. The staff was friendly from the start providing me a quick and easy estimate. They even followed up after the estimate to schedule the appointment to get the work done. I just picked my finished vehicle up this evening and was very impressed. Not only were they done with my body work a day earlier than estimated, but the car was cleaned from top to bottom, inside and out. I would definitely take my car there again for any body work, and would recommend Elmer's and the staff to my friends and family that need to have their car worked on!

Elmer s recently replaced the front bumper on my used, 2017 Mazda 6, the owner of the shop was very professional, informative, and helpful. He thoroughly explained the cost involved before the repair work, and gave me a detailed, written estimate. Their place is one of the cleanest auto repair shops I ve ever seen. Their receptionist is very friendly and helpful.

The repair work took a little less time than they predicted, and came in exactly at the price quoted. They even vacuumed the interior and trunk.

This is how a family business lasts for generations: very good work and service.

While I was in town for work my front bumper got caught on something and before I know it half of it was off. Elmers was amazing! They got me that day and I was in and out in a half an hour. I could not be more grateful!

Elmer's has done body work on my wife's car which I can only say was nothing short of perfect. I couldn't have been more impressed I thought. Recently my wife was broadsided (thankfully no one was hurt), but I had the car towed to Elmer's. I was called promptly by Wes, and he explained the damages and indicated to me the car must be totaled. I asked what do I do now. Mind you Elmer's is not going to make any money on this now, but Wes and Greg walked me through the process, and also took time out on how I should approach the other drivers insurance company. Their brief tutorial saved me over a $1000 in the recovery settlement, and thus did not put a ding on our own insurance. Wes was within dollars of our settlement. All I can say other than top notch body work beyond your imagination, these guys are there for you, to either do a professional expert job on repairing your vehicle to better than new, but they care about the customer and their situation, whether they do the repair or not. Wes and his crew really care and care about the product they turn out. I truly doubt anyone can find a body shop as honest and helpful as Elmer's anywhere. In closing I would recommend them for any body work on any type of vehicle. You won't be sorry you went there. Wes, Greg, and your whole crew are the very best at what they do, and all I can say is thank you for the time and information you shared with me regarding my wife's last accident. The information was an education and very helpful, in obtaining a fair settlement, plus savings on my own insurance. The world would be a far better place if all businesses operated as you do. You deserve far more than just a simple thank you for the literal existence as Elmer's Body shop and terrific people that work very hard there.

I was referred to Elmer s through a friend from work after I had hit a deer causing significant damage to my car. For my first accident, Elmer s made the experience downright easy. I didn t have to deal with insurance, as they did everything for me. They even arranged my rental car pick-up. Wes called intermittently with updates so I always knew what was going on as far as the estimate and repairs. The end result looked like a brand new car! Thankful for their service and to have a trusted, talented body shop to take our vehicles to.

Wes and staff was courteous, fast and just all around wonderful. They took a stressful situation and made it relieving and easy.

This local gem was a pleasure to do business with! Starting with a greeting at the front door of their immaculately clean offices and repair stalls this business is a throwback of flawless customer service, competence, professionalism and execution. Someone ran a shopping cart into my wife's car. They pulled the dent out and got the scratch out, did a good job. Fair price.

Elmer's did some body work on my 2017 Jeep Cherokee this week after someone had flung their car door open in a parking lot and left a 4 inch dent in my rear door. They negotiated with my insurance and made sure all neccessary work was covered. I had also asked them to look at some scratches to see if they could be buffed out. When I picked up my car on Thursday I couldn't believe how great it looked! They even detailed the inside! Thanks to Dylan, Greg, and Nick for all your hard work to get my car looking brand new again!

Absolutely the best customer service I have ever seen. Also the cleanest Body shop. From the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out, every detail was met. Coordination with Insurance Company, rent a car was beyond my expectations. What a surprise when I went to get in my car (also super clean on the outside) to find that the inside was clean as well, and smelled wonderful. I feel like I have a new car. Thank you Elmer's. Recently I had an experience I need to share.. I'm not much of an on line commenter..

So I had a minor accident with my 2018 chevy HD.. took it to the dealer.. received a quote , scheduled the work.. was promised a loaner upon delivery..

Sent my assistant to drop it off and no one knew why she was there..
So after waiting without any result she had to leave.

Did not hear from anyone for a week..
I call Wes at Elmers.. had a estimate that day for $700 less and turn around time was half.

When I picked up the truck, on time, the bill was $250 less than the quote. What?

The Truck was expertly detailed when I picked it up..

Elmer's is an great example of a local owned business that understands service and customer care..

I took my wife's car in to get an estimate and spoke with Greg. He was very helpful in letting me know how they could fix it and what my options were. I felt like he really went the extra mile to look everything up for me and show me all my options knowing I might choose to repair it myself. I would highly recommend this company as they seem very honest and straight forward.

Very good customer service - quick turnaround - good work and they cleaned the windows and vacuumed the van just for a little bit of bodywork... Pleasantly surprised! Plus it's where my Dad always took our cars when I was a little girl

I have had both a personal and professional relationship with Elmer's Body Shop since 2008. I am a business owner in neighboring South Bend, IN. As someone who believes in quality work and a 'customer first' attitude, it was immediately obvious that I had found a shop with similar goals and ideals. As a professional in the auto repair industry, I have worked in dozens of body shops all over the country, and can honestly say that Elmer's is in the top 1 percent when it comes to quality of repair and service. Elmer's is the only shop in town I trust with my work truck and personal vehicle.

Wes met me on the morning my daughter wrecked her car. He shared the joy with me that she was okay. The car was not okay and he gave me an estimate right away. Very professional presentation plus the extra care considering the roller coaster I had just been through. Our family has used this body shop in the past and will continue in the future.

scheduled my car for repair M-F to minimize cost of a rental car. went in a couple weeks before to sign the contract so they could order parts. apparently a bracket was on its way and expected to arrive Thursday. but it didn t arrive until the following Tuesday. Instead of 5 days of a rental car, i had to pay for 9. when i asked what happened they said manufacturing/shipping has been delayed due to covid, which i totally get. they said some parts have taken 6 months. since my car was totally driveable (i had been driving for a month since the accident), i would have liked to have been told the part wasn t in the shop on day 1 bc i would have just rescheduled. especially since they later told me they have had a lot of delays. Also, i wasnt told any of this until Friday afternoon so i had to change all my plans last minute.
the work was done well and my car was clean when i finally got it back.

Very pleasant to work with. Did an outstanding job on my truck! Quality work, no cheating, or cutting corners. Perfect!
