Best service I've ever had. I will never leave this place.

Walked in at 6:30 and got told they couldn t serice me when there were no customers at all

This is a response to Shawn Sander's post.
I am the guy at the front desk and would like to say we are sorry for your inconvenience. It is my job to make sure things run smooth here at Element. Because the stylist you made an appointment with called in sick that day, a call was placed to the number we have on file to make you aware of the situation. I was told a voicemail was left explaining the situation. A response call was never made back to us. I do recall you coming in but all I remember was you asking if there was time for two cuts. It was a busy day being we were short one person. This in turn fills up all available slots to see more clients. I always try to warp time and space to fit in customers like yourself. That was not possible this day. It may seem that people are standing around doing nothing but watching the Spelling Bee but that is not the case. If any of us were able to accommodate you it would have been done. With this industry relying on a time schedule it can become chaotic with unseen variables. We have become efficient at making appointments work out when time constraints come up.
Again I am sorry for this inconvenience and if there is anyways we can accommodate you in the future please give me a call.

This place was awesome. Don't let the branding fool you - they also do great women's cuts that are super affordable ($35). Jennifer was an absolute miracle worker - my hair was a hot mess and she did an awesome job making it look like a hairstyle instead of a mop! One of the best salons I've been to!

First haircut was really good. The second was not, nor was the experience. The stylist was condescending. Third time, I called twice during business hours to make an appointment and no one answered. Probably won't be a fourth time.

Best place in Bend to get a haircut, ask for John. Comes with a beer!

My grand daughter cut her hair. We were devastated, but Charlette did an awesome job creating a very cute style!! Charlette was awesome. I would highly recommend her!

Great barbers but why is there a picture of a cat? Do they cut cat hair too? That's fantastic! I dont have a cat because I prefer dogs as everyone should but given how everyone in this town is absolutely insane it wouldnt surprise me if someone brought their cat to a barber instead of s groomer.

We have been going to this establishment for over a year. We made appointments to have our haircut. Yesterday's appointment was canceled. We scheduled an appointment for to only to have them cancel again. We tried walking in and they said they didn't have time. But there were to employees that cut hair and the guy at the desk watching the spelling bee on tv. Watching the spelling bee is more important than making money.

I really enjoyed coming here until something happened and the company could not hold onto the talent.l they once had. If you re straight from school, don t lie about your experience. Your clientele can read right through it and it makes you and the establishment look bad. I will not pay your prices if you don t have the talent and experience anymore.

Used the same barber for years and when I moved to bend I was very skeptical with so many downtown. Happen to walk in by chance and havent even tried going anywhere else. Great staff, very approachable.

horrible place. i made an appt a week in advance. the receptionist was rude and non caring she did not tell me my hairdresser was running an hour behind. In fact no one told me. After waiting for 20 minutes i asked if bartender was running behind , a man said 5 more minutes, and did nto apologize or offer me something to drink while i waited. 30 minutes later i walked out. Unacceptable

Went in there today and got right in. Gal by the name of megan cut my hair. She took her time and did a perfect job. Best haircut i ever had! I left her a 40% tip, which is rare for me to do...

Loved this place...but my favourite gal moved. Still a great option. They serve beer, or wine while they pamper you.

Very professional staff, and they give a great hair cut.

I picked this place as they offered beer and hot shaves. This seems like a cornerstone of a good barbershop experience. There s not much of a motif, the walls are sparsely decorated except for a couple 80 s esque painting of women s faces and one of a skull. The two TV s with sports on were mounted so high on the walls that one couldn t watch them while having their hair cut. The "stylist" that cut my hair wasn't talkative at all. I would not go back on this point alone. Getting one s haircut is a socializing experience and this wasn t. The shop itself had a layer of grime in corners and had random clutter. Barbershops are supposed to be temples to men, this felt like a women s salon for dudes who don t care. If you stop reading here, this is portion of the review amounts to 3 stars, an average place with high-end pricing.

I asked for a haircut and beard trim. The haircut was executed alright. It isn't the best cut I've ever had, but at a level I'd expect for the price. The beard trim was an absolute nightmare. I had, HAD!, a glorious beard in excess of 6" in length. I asked for the sides to be brought in and cleaned up and the bottom to be straightened. This means a TRIM. What I experienced was a massacre. The beard that took me to beard competitions and garnered compliments from people on the street was unceremoniously hacked off with electric clippers. It s not even a good beard trim as the lengths are random. There wasn t an attempt to use the length I had shape a good looking beard, it was just cut short and that is that. My mustache was attacked as if it was a dandelion on a fairway; whacked back without regard. I sat in horror as it was happening and by the time I realized what was happening, could say nothing. It was too late, the damage was done. I put my faith in the expert pulling off a stunning look for me. I didn t see it until it was done and fell into shock immediately. Bad haircuts can last a month or two. Beards like mine takes years to grow. I just paid, left, and went home to have a scotch for my fallen friend. My manhood was robbed. I have to explain to colleges, friends, and family why I let this happen to my beloved beard. I can t. I m in shock. It s depressing. 1 star.

Good place to get a haircut. Not meant for little kids. A place for guys to get a trim and have a drink at the same time.

Good at giving the haircut you asked for, and there's plenty of stations so the wait isn't as long as others

The best barber shop in downtown Bend. Can't beat the razor shave on the neck hair and always being offered a drink upon arrival.

Quality of cut varies a lot depending on hair stylist. Jacklyn has been consistently good to me. Always a new local complimentary beer on tap, but serving size have been reduced recently - pretty small plastic cup. Hair wash, neck shave and product styling included for $22.

They never answer their phones. I tried calling them for 3 days straight, 2x a day. 1 in the morning, 1 in the afternoon. No one answered... I ended up having to go to Bond St. Barber down the road. I like the haircuts from this place, but they need to hire someone to work the front desk. Having the stylist answer the phone while they're working is not good practice.

They have no patience or sensitivity for kids with difficulties ,be careful

The stylist was moody and dismissive. She didn't seem to listen when I described the cut I wanted. This was evident in the choppy cut I was given. Unfortunately I wasn't offered the opportunity to choose my stylist. I've had positive experiences in the past at this salon, but when I called to see if they would fix my chop job they had no record of my appointment and was told that they couldn't fix but would charge for a new haircut. Also, the stylist handle the phones and I was rushed off the phone when I called. Very disappointing for an Aveda salon in my downtown Bend. I won't be back and recommend you reconsider before going there.

If I could give them no stars I would. The way they talk to there customers is horrible. They asked my fiance if he wanted anything to drink and he said yes I would like a "Coors light" and he got it himself, then they were rude when he got it. Then they are just pushy and not very friendly.
