I want to start off by saying WOW .
Now I m Dominican from NY where we try different foods. Mexican being my all time favorite. My family and I went to Orlando Florida last week and I decided to take my family to this restaurant. After seeing the reviews I was like oh wow. I have to try this for myself.
And let me just say
The food and drinks are AMAZING .
I have never had such great Mexican food.
I really cannot wait to go back to Orlando!!

You have to try this place! Far superior to the typical Mexican restaurant in the states. Wow! Fantastic flavors! Ok, first impression walking up may feel like the place is closed but come in and feast on some delicious food.

I had the side salad (served on a chilled bowl) with the cilantro ranch dressing. Three tacos, Alambre Asada, Carnitas, and Chorizo with the Sweet Plantains as a side. Oh, and the salsa is so fresh! See the photos.

I had a great meal and it was $16. Then I had to add some fried ice cream just because and it was not to the same high standard as the dinner. I would say that desert is the Achilles heel of El Patron.

I will definitely be back whenever in Orlando. This place is a must try or you will be missing out.

Fastest food delivery I ever had at a restaurant. The food arrived before waitress could get the chips and salsa.

Our waitress spoke poor English so having trouble understanding her and the blaring music made it hard to hear her. The food was good, but not worth the money. We will not eat there again.

Very accommodating, service was excellent ,food was amazing will definitely return when in Orlando again. What really set the bar was how I was able to get a reservation for 30 people in a short period of time and had 1 server who handled the entire group, one love to the estabkiment.

We are regulars at the restaurant with our 2 kids, we ate here twice in last 3 days. The service has always been great, but today we had Brian D. as a server and that changed everything. His lack of knowledge or wherewithal of the system used to charge customers ruined our experience in front of the kids and our friends when he accused my husband of not paying a $74 bill. Even after my husband showed him the receipt emailed to him and the charged posted on his account, it still was not enough. After my husband asked to see his tablet showing the charge, my husband pointed out that Brian D was looking at the wrong bill. Brian D then realize his mistake and pretended that there was a delay in his system and that the payment did go through and said "oh looks like you did pay." The food is fantastic and I do recommend it but if you go there I would recommend asking for anyone else except Brian D. As for us we will NEVER go back.

Guillermo was our waiter and he gave us exelente service. The food was exquisite and the drinks were really good. Try the mango margarita highly recommend this place

It is a good restaurant, good service and apart from dishes there is a very good and really rich buffet

You must read this...... I'm from New York we came to Florida for vacation... And the food it was all right ....we went twice ... The first time at the bottom of the receipts the tips it was separate ....so it was the option to put tips for the service ... but the second time tips were already included in the bill, without asking , when is it supposed that tips they must give dependent on the service... It was 22 dollar more ... I asked the waiter and responded I sometimes they do it sometimes they don't.. Because they need to share the tips with the bartender... But we never ordered drinks with alcohol.... I asked if it was legal to do that, and she responds .. Here in Florida you have to pay 18% to the tips .. What a surprise mmmm... So be careful if you go there..

Do yourself a favor and try this restaurant. We had the queso, chicken chimichanga, and carnitas tacos. Everything was fresh and had so much flavor. The salsa had a smoky flavor and if you ask for the hot sauce be ready, its HOT, but very good.

Good Mexican food, but they automatically add a gratuity to the bill without making it clear

Nice restaurant with good staff and nice menu. We took three different meals and they were all fresh and tasty. Good place to get away from fast food and diners.

This is not chain Mexican. This IS authentic Mexican and FANTASTIC. My new favorite.

I went a few times in the past and it was very good. This time I was disappointed. I knew when the food came too quickly that there might be a problem. The food was not hot and did not taste fresh. I did not enjoy it and I won't be going back.

We had the chimichangas and the cheese sauce was pretty spicy. The atmosphere was great-very authentic Mexican. Many families with children. The enchiladas were delicious and the chips and salsa were slightly different than you'd expect. Big round corn tortillas...there were free mints at the exit too.

Great customer service and the foods here is DELICIOUS... My husband who is very picky truly loved it. Reccomand to everyone and anyone who is looking for a Mexican restaurant .

We had tacos... chicharrones, al carbon... served with 2 sides, all very tasty. Very pretty decor, clean and family run.

Really can't rate as I did not sit down and eat but they did have an all-you-can-eat buffet for the weekend for $13 but you look pretty good I just didn't feel like having an all-you-can-eat experience. Visually it looked ok. Little dark though.

Every option looked delicious but chose the el patron which is a chicken, shrimp, and steak fajita dish. Absolutely a great choice!

I came with my family to enjoy a good meal, and ended up having a bad experience! My family order two steaks well done . Me and another member order two mix and match tacos with two sides each.
First off the food was done under ten minutes . The meat was not well done , the tacos were extremely cold . The plate was the only thing that was warm. And we were already upset with the food being cold. A guy came up to us and asked who had a third side of fries. We told him we did not order it . The manager came up to us in a rude, unprofessional voice and said you guys ordered the extra fries . We told him we did not we only ordered two fries. (They were the sides for the mix and match tacos) . He left mad and later the waitress came while we were still eating and took the fries we were still eating and our plates . The waitress kept switching off with another waitress and both gave us attitude . I do not recommend this place

I ate there with some work mates on January 23rd 2020 before we all headed to airport to head home to our respective cities. Everyone of us got severely food poisoned (I had burrito) some didn t even make their flights. WARNING TO ALL!!! I will obviously never be back!!! It s been 20 years since I ve been food poisoned - no bueno!!!!!

Our first time here and it was outstanding! The food and our server Melanie (hopefully I spelt it correctly) was fantastic!! I didn t like my first drink choice and she was happy to exchange it at no extra charge. I also brought my daughters food with us and it was too cold to give to her so Melanie offered to heat it up. If that s not great service I don t know what is. We will return here next time we visit Orlando. This place has great authentic Mexican food and with such a variety it s easy to please everyone.

The drinks and appetizers are good. Did not like the fajitas the chicken was to chewy and hard. the rice and beans could be better.

Slow service and mediocre food. Service staff is friendly but that doesn't make up for their deficiencies.

Great food with numerous gluten free options. Burrito was huge (not gluten free so I didn't try). Carnitas are some of the best I've had - I highly recommend. Ordered takeout and food took longer than stated, mainly due to the fact it was Cinco de Mayo and Taco Tuesday during a pandemic so 8 can't fault them for that. I will definitely return for more.

Tte food was good but they dont serve a full table at once. It was five at our table but only four plates came out. The fifth plate came when most was finished with their meal. Our server was good too.

We were looking for somewhere not drenched in Disney for dinner and wanted Mexican. This place came up in a Google search, so we tried it out. Let me start by saying the restaurant itself is extremely clean and we'll maintained and the staff is fantastic. The salsa was good, although the giant round "break them yourself" chips were odd lol. We both got margaritas which were strong but tasty! The food itself was well priced, hot, and very good. Definitely on my list of places to go when I'm in Orlando!

No faulting this place. We had a superb lunch - great service and great food. We chose from the menu but the buffet looked excellent if you are not a pescetarian.

Food was prepared authentically and served hot. The staff was awesome and made you not only feel welcomed but part of a family. I had originally thought that it may have been an exception so I visited a second time and the service and food was still excellent.

The best mexican food I've ever had. It was our first time there because we're from out of state and wow you dont get food like this in ohio. The tacos are out of this world and the nachos..... I just can't handle it. And the chicken! Oh lord the chicken.

What a great place to eat I did the all you can eat brunch a few hours ago was tasty never did a Mexican buffet before was definitely different. Also would come back for a normal meal.

Their tacos were amazing! Had multiple types and all were delicious! Staff was friendly quick and courteous. Great banana majito and black margarita! Even got to sample a potential new dessert and give my input which was an awesome experience!

Great food and great staff, had a pitcher of house margarita that was great. The pollo al chipotle was fantastic. We had a party of ten and our food came out in under ten minutes and we came right at the dinner rush. Highly suggest coming here. Hector our server was great!

Phenomenal. We got 6 different types of tacos, quest, guacamole, and decried beans. Everything was amazing and portion sizes were big - they do not skimp on meat in your tacos. All of the meat/seafood was seasoned well. The guac is some of the best guac I ve had, clearly made fresh. We got takeout and the food reheated very well.
