Good airline, big seats, and not to expensive, service is not the best, the food is good if you request the strictly kosher food , but the regular meals don t look very good, rather pretty gross.
So my suggestion would be to just request strictly Kosher meals.
This is the BEST airline if you want to go to Israel

El Al has benefited thousands of religious and ultra-Orthodox customers on their way to Europe and the United States, including me, but when it became involved in a severe incitement affair, the company took a side in favor of incitement and against the facts.
Only a courageous journalist - Yehuda Schlesinger - did a responsible act instead of El Al itself, and published a document denying the El Al version.

Her respect for her customers-does not matter to her?
An apology for the brutality of its employees - out of the question?
Unbridled incitement - does not she care?

I suggest that the company open its eyes and act sensitively - to its customers, even if it is not pleasant to expose the EL AL team in Cologne. Participation in a false version that hurts a large clientele is immoral! Apology is the first mission to such a case.

El Al lost my bags. They have no idea where one is. The other, they know where it is, but for some reason won't put it on a plane to get it to me in Israel. I flew out of JFK on the 8th landed in Israel the 9th. It is the 13th, and I still don't have my bags. They say it is because of "security". There are underwear, shoes, and a camera tripod in the one bag. In the other, 3 suits, socks, and a baseball glove. What about this needs to be scrutinized by security for a number of days?! Customer service is a joke in Israel, and when trying to call the New York office they NEVER answer. I've called at all hours on each day, no answer. The plane was old and very dirty. My friends who sat behind me, their tv screens did not work. The food was garbage.
The security screening/interview was fine, I actually appreciate that they do these. These interviews are better security than TSA. But I vwill never fly El Al again because of their terrible customer service and archaic systems/equipment.

Worst airline. Rude, unpolite and unprofessional personel, baggage get lost. In israel the offices are closed and no one at counter to attend inquieries.

When you take the flight, for my case I took it in frankfurt, the airline has an intern safety security that checks all your background and has access by authorities to search you and your belongings, including giving full access to your mobile phone, conversations and apps, the way they pleased and if they feel unsatisfy by your answers their inquieries get worse up the point of been stripped naked and getting clothes examined until they decided you wont carry any potential treat package or are a treat.

You wont get trough any of this horrible expirience as long as you are jewish, so is xenophobic and racist amoung other nationalities.

Constant app and website errors that never allowed me to choose a seat on my flight. Called customer service and put in my call back number, they never called. Middle seat for 12 hours here I come.

ever and worst customer service for calling also they kept me waiting half hour really half hour and didn't got satisfied with the answer please change the staff. English is too bad ..service is the worst

Annoyingly long wait times to phone calls, over 20 minutes at least if you have the patience to wait that long. I timed the bloody thing several times just to prove a point. The company does not hire extra call representatives to save money at the customer's expense.

Internet site crushes, if you go to the start page, it opens in Hebrew. The baggage policy is awful, nothing is clear, and in the end prepare to pay twice in any case. No sports equipment included for the tickets with a booked baggage

A company fails in management, in service. Consistently submits quarterly reports with large losses. Is it in the interest of the state to save this society every time when on the part of society there is no drive for real efficiency in order to prevent such cases again and again?
And these are not losses following the corona. This is a failed company for over 10 years.

I ordered a plane ticket from El Al, on 27th April...

I ordered a plane ticket from El Al, on 27th April, for a flight which would have been on the first of May. The ticked was 340 euros. I canceled it on the same date.

After many conversations with the operator from El Al, I have been told that they will hold 120 euros, from the total sum. The 5% rule applied in Israel does not apply here, as well, even though I am an Israeli citizen.

I promised myself 10 years ago not to fly to El Al...

I promised myself 10 years ago not to fly to El Al anymore after a bad experience, and unfortunately I closed a flight with them two weeks ago because of the price and the hours that significantly paid off ..
Indeed .. 10 years passed and they got worse - terrible service of young girls, TV and buttons that did not work in a 13-hour flight from Miami and food some of which expired two weeks (dairy products !! I attached a photo from 21/7!).
I contacted them on their website two weeks ago and of course there is no response. In retrospect it was worth paying more.
EL AL = NEVER AGAIN.
