The Eiffel Tower can be seen from all over Paris, including out hotel, but if you really want to experience it, you must climb it. It is open all year round, and hours range from around 9am to midnight, depending on the time of year and whether you take the stairs or lift. if you want to go all the way to the top you have to make sure you don t miss the last lift if you want to catch the beautiful view of the Paris skyline at night...

Great views from the top of the tower. Be prepared to wait in long lines even with tickets. The elevator is slow but better then stairs. Was very cold, so make sure you dress extra warm for the windy top. Definitely worth paying the extra to go so the way to the top.

As a child, I was fortunate enough to visit this wonder of the world. I ate at the restaurant in the tower, and then climbed the stairs until the top floor. Unforgettable experience, was very crowded, but this is a memory I have not forgotten yet and will never forget.

Words can hardly explain this giant structure. One of the wonders of the world right in middle of cultural hub Paris. Enjoyed the lovely view from late evening to night. Great way to spend a romantic evening.

You cannot visit France without going to the Eiffel Tower! On my visit, only went to the second floor as the queues for the lift to the top were very long. The views over Paris are amazing and it s great being at the world famous land mark. There is a queue to go through security and a queue to get to the stairs, but this doesn t seem to last too long, just be prepared in case it s a busy day. don t forget to keep everything valuable in a bag or zipped up pocket as it is very busy so thieves might be about and small items could drop through the staircase railings and be gone forever! Also the climb can be quite tiring, if you are someone who might struggle make sure to take the lift. Hope all this info helps, and if you re going to france, make sure to save a day for a visit to paris and the tower (who wouldn t!)

Love love love. You can climb the stairs to the 2nd floor for a smaller fee than taking the car all the way to the top. I did the stairs cause I wanted to go up without spending 20. Glad I did this because the lines were ridiculous to from the 2nd floor to the top.

But you MUST see this tower at night. A true and real beauty! Every hour on the hour it "sparkles". So make sure you see this at night.

Not enough space for free walk around and just enjoy the sightseen. A lot of closed paths around, mud and garbage. Not everybody want to take an elevator ! Champs de Mars could be much better presented as intro to tower. In other hand Trocadero is lovely. Ps. Such a great number of cheep souveniers and champagne can destroy pleasnt stay down under

Any tourist visiting Paris owes it to themselves to visit this landmark. Although, interesting fact, 90% of Parisians have not actually visited it! I feel this is a shame as the experience is not to be missed. Impressive from a far and up close, it is a delight to discover the views from the top. Though you can take the lift up, I would recommend taking the stairs, as it is far quicker and less expensive. When I went, by the time I got down, two hours after I had climbed up, the same people were still queuing for the lift!

There are two platforms to climb to, both with great views of Paris. There is a third platform but this is not to be visited, as it is where Eiffel himself had his office.

For those who enjoy eating, there are two main restaurants, though I have no been myself.

All in all a great place to go!

Ooh my God. This is a trip you remember forever. The Eiffel Tower is impressive and tall. Like French called it!" La Dame de Fer!"is a must see when in Paris. Just be ready for a lot of walking and carrying strollers. Almost no elevators. People are not very helpful. But it vacation go and enjoy every minute of it.

Being one of the most famous landmarks on the planet, the pleasure of seeing the Eiffel Tower in person is unmatched. I was fortunate enough to visit this monument on the Bastille Day (France National Day) with the lights show and the fireworks which made the experience unforgettable. VIVA LA FRANCE.

Parisian people were rude and filthy, whichever errondisement we visited, whatever season. No people skills, no charm. The view from atop the tower is beautiful, despite the tourist queues to get there. Been 3 times in daytime and night, and wonder why I did it more than once. However, the winter fair nearby was magical. Wouldn't visit again but lovely enough to see with my love. . .

I thought it was less exciting just like people would say, but once I saw it I realised it's worth seeing and really satisfying! I had no problem to take 250 pictures with Eiffel Tower in the background...

Awesome architecture, one of a kind place. Crowded but handled well. Worth the price you pay to go up. Amazing view from top. Romantic destination, filled with families and couples. Don't forget to explore the park as well. Recommend to wear a jacket on the way up as it's really cool and windy up there.

You cannot review a few places on earth. Eiffel tower is one of them. Its beauty, architecture, history, everything associated with this is out of this world. This is one of the most iconic structures not only in Paris, in the whole world.

There are 2 sides where you can sit, chill, take photos and enjoy the view of Eiffel tower. I would suggest going to Trocadero Garden for a view of the tower. Another side, there is a park which looks horrible. Also, vendors can ruin your moment. They will bug you for water-beer and souvenirs and even you say no, they keep coming to you. It can be new to fellow Americans who are new to this.

The most visited tourist attraction in Paris, The iconic tower was designed by Alexandre-Gustave Eiffel for the Paris Exhibition of 1889, which marked the centenary of the French Revolution. It's hard to believe that the structure was dismissed as not cool when it was first unveiled. Visitors can take an elevator or walk up the 360 steps to arrive at the first level (at 57 meters) and 344 more steps to the second level (at 115 meters). There is a Michelin-starred restaurant Jules Verne Restaurant on the second floor.

I would suggest waiting for the sunset to see tower against a dusky backdrop from Trocadero Garden. It looks absolutely beautiful and in the night, it gets sparkled every hour from 9 PM to 1 AM for 5 minutes. It looks beautiful when it sparkles.

Needless to say, the Paris trip is incomplete without the Eiffel tower. It's best to purchase tickets in advance especially if visiting during high season

Fantastic!

Fantastic!

Having been on my wishlist for a long time, it was splendid to finally get to see the Eiffel Tower. Not only is this tower huge, but build with incredible architecture. The Eiffel Tower is famous because it was built in 1889 for the World s Fair. The French built the Eiffel Tower to represent their might to the world. After having visited the Eiffel Tower, I learned a couple of tips which are extremely useful:
Tip 1: The Eiffel Tower is generally extremely crowded and noisy because there are roads are around it. What my family did is we went up to the Jardins du Trocadero and sat down on the grass and ate some homemade sandwiches. (Mini tip: bring a blanket if you intent to try this out) There were several Trees which you could sit under to avoid being burnt by the sun.
Tip 2: There are many food vendors, (even during corona believe it or not) and you can grab a ice cream or cool drink to cool off if you come during the day. (If you do choose to come during the summer watch out for wasps which occasionally get stuck in the ice cream.
Tip 3: If you intend to go into the Tower, book tickets in advance. If not, the chances are that you won t get one at all because it happens a lot that the tower is packed.
Tip 4: Be mindful of your surroundings. Being by the Eiffel Tower can be extremely incredible but even if it is, make sure you keep your belongings safe. Preferably under lock and key. It does happen a lot people get pick pocketed and even backpack pocketed so watch out!
Tip 5: Your timing may largely effect your experience. Just so you know, the peak hours are from 9am to 10pm so time your visit wisely if you intend to not have many people around.
Lastly, remember to follow corona regulations. Wear a mask, wash you hands and try not to touch too much. Remember we are all in this together. Let s try to beat the virus, not let it beat us.

My goal is to help as many people as I can on google maps so it would help tremendously if you could like this review so I could help more travelers like you decide their trips wisely.

Hope this helps,
Armin

We visited there tonight with the 9.30 tour slot, got up to the top by 21.45, plenty of security so don't take anything stupid with you (seen two people have pen knives removed and binned!). The staff were polite, efficient and spoke several languages. The views were amazing, it can be windy at the top so I'd not recommend it in a tee shirt or shorts especially out of season, although I seen some people do it :)

Another amazing architecture monument. The view from up above is incredible and it's amazing to see the the steel and rivets that are used to make this structure work. Be sure to check it out at night and see the show. Grab yourself a bottle of wine and some cheese and crackers and find a spot on the lawn to hang out. Be sure to read all the amazing statistics on what went into the building of it as well as the up keep of it too. Have fun!

An evening visit in Autumn to the Eiffel Tower was magical! There were lines but they were short and fast moving.

From the security check to the ticket booth, up the tower on the elevator was less than an hour. I went to the second level and my parents went to the top. I was surprised that they didn't have any issues moving about on their own, I have vertigo, the reason I didn't go to the top.

The views were spectacular even on the second level. Nearby the tower, near the river there is a carousel worth seeing.

Paris is actually home to many vintage carousels, do some research before traveling.

Highly recommend an evening visit to the area as the tower lights up with a twinkling show on the hour. Simply mesmerizing...

The Holy Grail of Paris and for what the city is recognized in any part of the world! It is actually very tall and amazingly well built. Worst part is the unbelievable number of tourists we find around the tower as well as on it. Also this place is very well secured and you checkpoints before you can get inside the are of the tower.

Another of Paris's Iconic monument. We booked a skip the line queue...but the queue of the skip the line queue itself was a long one ! Anyways, the wait is worth it. We had booked tickets till the 2nd level online and had to collect the physical tickets from an office two blocks away from Eiffel. The lift operation inside are large and very safe. There is no time limit as such for someone to explore Eiffel. 360 degree vews of the Iconic city is what makes the climb so wonderful !

It's an awesome to look over Paris from this iconic tower built in 19th century. You can go upto 2nd floor as top deck entry is not available, slightly disappointing. Please follow the timings as they won't allow you except your tickets slots. It's fun to enjoying the views and cool breeze. Lots of walking but well worth it. Food is not so good on the tower.

You see movies, you hear romantic stories, you listen to La Vie En Rose...and then you land in Paris and the magic is just not there for some reason. It's the same about the Eiffel Tower. People talk so much about it. Women rave about proposal stories in front of the magical tower. Not sure what the hype is all about. It's just a gigantic metallic structure really. It definitely looks much better at night when lit up, otherwise during the day looks pretty dull and not so pretty.

Visited August 2010.

Wonderful romantic place. Must visit with loved ones. Breathtaking view from up the level 2. People can also buy an additional Ticket and go up to the next level to even have a wonderful view or dine with love. Sure a wonder to visit and of course go on top of it. So many romantic couples were taking romantic photos in this structure. In the night there was a five minute light show which has to be viewed from a distance to enjoy how magnificently people made this city a tourist attraction because of this structure

A romantic place, a structure of the tower is impressive.
But SO. MANY. PEOPLE.
And that wasn't even a busy hour or busy day.
We didn't have to stand in line to get in at all.
The garden around the tower was nice, not talking about those meh fields with no grass on them though)
On the second floor there was a crowd. Many overpriced shops. We have had their macarons though, than those were yummy!
Wifi is fast, long range and free.
At the exit there were A LOT of those illegal sellers of fake cheaply made eiffel towers, and I wish something would be done about it.

Always the destination of my dreams.

Always the destination of my dreams.
waited for more than 3 hours in the line just to get to the ticket counter and then half an hour more to get to the lift. It was worth every penny(12.50 for students and 8 for students who are below 23 years) When I get to the the third floor, I felt like I'm in the top of the world. The view from there is mind blowing. It was too cold but still you will enjoy a lot...All your frustrations, your complains everything vanishes in a sec!!! And if that was not enough, i was next treated to the spectacle of a lifetime the glittering lights. It seemed like a golden palace encrusted with diamonds sparkling right in front of me. This magnificent glittering phenomenon occurs every hour till midnight post sunset and its worth watching every second of it, I ve seen people fall in love with each other beholding the Eiffel together, such is the charm.

I took my first trip to Paris and i am very happy that i chose studifahrten. This trip so full of fun and everything was arranged nicely and all the travellers where freely allowed to roam around explore and also were informed about the best places and had a choice to go with guided tour or explore on their own .It was just amazing .Thankyou for lovely memory Studifahrten.

Eiffel tower is the most beloved landmark in Paris. It was constructed to commemorate the centennial of the French Revolution and to demonstrate France's industrial prowess to the world. It is 1,063 feet (324 meters) tall, including the antenna at the top. Without the antenna, it is 984 feet (300 m).

We just loved our visit to the Eiffel Tower. This was our first visit and we were amazed at how big it is. It stands much wider than it looks on the pictures. We suggest you to book the tickets in advance online and must see the Paris City from top. The view is just astonishing. We bought the tickets of 4pm slot so that we can enjoy both day and night scenery from top.

The second level is a great place to enjoy the view and see the whole of Paris. The elevators are generally very crowded. You can use stairs down to the 1st level. There are a lot of winding stairs in the tower but it was a nice experience. There are several shops and eateries in the tower too. You can buy souvenirs but these souvenirs are more expensive than you might find in the shops across the street so you may want to check other places out as well.

We had heard the stories about the pick-pockets around the Eiffel tower so we were extra careful but we didn't see any incidents.

Good luck :)

When it comes to hotspots for tourists, there is no other that compares, was buzzing with people from all over the world. Only drawback was the security checks. Luckily we booked in advance which is highly recommended if you don't feel like queuing for up to an hour!

As for the fun parts, getting to see Paris with all it's glory is a must from the view. We didn't the chance from the very top because the tickets for that was fully booked even a month ahead.

We had our daughter with us and it's kind of pram friendly.

Has gift shops, toilets, food and drink too.

A destination to visit if you are in Paris. The symbol of LOVE and romance, the Eiffel Tower is truly magnificent and it does justice to what people say about it. It is mesmerizing. The shimmering lights go on every hour and it goes up till 1am. You can even go to the top of the Eiffel tower and have a panoramic view of the city.

Constructed from 1887 1889 as the entrance to the 1889 World's Fair, it was initially criticized by some of France's leading artists and intellectuals for its design, but it has become a global cultural icon of France and one of the most recognisable structures in the world.[3] The Eiffel Tower is the most-visited paid monument in the world; 6.91 million people ascended it in 2015.

The tower is 324 metres (1,063 ft) tall, about the same height as an 81-storey building, and the tallest structure in Paris. Its base is square, measuring 125 metres (410 ft) on each side. During its construction, the Eiffel Tower surpassed the Washington Monument to become the tallest man-made structure in the world, a title it held for 41 years until the Chrysler Building in New York City was finished in 1930. Due to the addition of a broadcasting aerial at the top of the tower in 1957, it is now taller than the Chrysler Building by 5.2 metres (17 ft). Excluding transmitters, the Eiffel Tower is the second tallest free-standing structure in France after the Millau Viaduct.

The tower has three levels for visitors, with restaurants on the first and second levels. The top level's upper platform is 276 m (906 ft) above the ground the highest observation deck accessible to the public in the European Union. Tickets can be purchased to ascend by stairs or lift to the first and second levels. The climb from ground level to the first level is over 300 steps, as is the climb from the first level to the second. Although there is a staircase to the top level, it is usually accessible only by lift.

I was with the family in this place for two years, it is just wonderful, everything perfect and organized, take at least two days to get to know the place ... A dream come true, it is worth buying the ticket to visit the second floor of the tower where you have the peripheral vision of all Paris, if you are afraid of heights there it complicates ... lol ... but my wife was afraid to go and it was ... lol ... and an organization to come in to buy ticket, cleaning ... do as I do, buy the advance ticket on the net, avoid taking the queue, if you can't, don't worry, the queue goes really fast.

A must see landmark in Paris. Very busy this time of the year. Security check points slow access to the site grounds. An ugly temporary fence ruins the surrounding areas. Be prepared to pay for everything: even to go up the stairs to enjoy the wonderful view of the city. Once inside you forget the obstacles and even the crowds... Paris always will be Paris

I mean it's the Eiffel tower what more can you say. Wish I had seen it on a clearer day but nvm. Also keep an eye out for the tower when it lights up at night. It does it every hour on the hour I believe.

Despite all the suggestions for not driving to Eiffel Tower, we drove and parked right next to the tower. There is a secure car park just 100m away from the structure and the charges are reasonable. We reached there at about 9pm and there was fortunately no rush at all. It took no time for us to get the tickets and in no time we were on the 2nd floor. The views are breathtaking however it was little crowded at the top. Go all way to the top. Be aware of the gypsies and the people trying to sell merchandise. Must see in Paris.

Beautiful place, you can go to up of the tower. You will have two options, by lift would cost 15 to 25 Euro and by climbing stairs which would cost around 15 euro. There are two levels you can stop by, at the first level you will find some shoes and restaurants and at the top level you will see the beautiful Paris. You can see the Paris from top of Eifel Tower. The place you will never forget.

My second visit to Paris was with twenty thousand M.A.G supporters from all over Europe, We had a HUGE weekend camp in the countryside. A few thousand of us rode into Paris and held an impromtu demo/ bike show under the tower. Cops came to patrol and had a good day with us! will have been the hot summer of 1996..The date on the review slide wont go back that far..

I don't know if Eiffel is any beautiful. I don't know why people pilgrimage there like they go there to worship. Visiting Eiffel Tower is so hyped that you can't ignore it. There's so much to see in other parts of Europe. Let alone the world. Recent they set a fence before the tower taking away whatever little beauty it had. Maybe you can find this view on wall in the corner. I forgot the name of the spot. But it's so popular that you can't avoid it.

The Icon of Paris, don't need much introductions, Be careful of pickpockets. There will be many people trying to sell you cheap key chains and other souvenirs and once you wallet is on display, it would probably the last time you see it. If it's your first visit you must go to the top and enjoy the view from above. Seeing the tower at different times of the day gives you a different feel.

A fascinating marvel of engineering and architecture. A cultural phenomenon that has been resisting the time and growing in popularity. An amazing art peace that dominates the entire city, perfectly situated amongst the best examples of grandeur of old European architecture and culture

Visited the grounds and enjoyed it. Was a nice area to walk around. Didn't feel the need to go up to the top. Loads of sellers around pushing their product. Places to but snacks and gifts.

So cool to see in person, not my first time and im very lucky to have seen it in the past. Security and lines now take up so much time and take away from the experience. There was nothing like their is now few years back. So if your going middle of the day, prepare to wait.
Got there early and bet the crowds as always its the best way to do it. Still it's a must do in Paris.

Great place to spend one evening. You can go to the top of the tower for a fee to enjoy the birds view of the city. During night at every hour tower will be illuminated for five minutes which is really awesome and cool. There is a river near the tower. One can take a boat ride. There is small park as well where one can relax.

We really enjoyed the area and the sites around the Eiffel tower. The tower itself is really cool and a lot taller than I expected. There are a ton of people selling stuff around the outside that you have to dodge, but they're just trying to make some money so I couldn't fault them for that. This was also where I proposed to my fiance and she said yes so it has a special meaning to us!

Beautiful place! Although may be crowded, you can still get really nice photos from many different angles. The light show at every hour in the evening is really pretty, was in awe at the magnificient view from afar.
